Panzerotti Bites Albee Square Reviews
I literally cried. This is THE BEST PLACE to enjoy the tastes of the Puglia! Tried the Mortadella and Classic one, I hope to be able and visit again before leaving NYC. The staff are adorable, and the ice cappuccino is wonderful! Worth it!!!
I had the classic, fried with cheese and tomato sauce. They made it fresh with a perfectly hot and crisp crust and a very fresh tasting tomato sauce. The owner is very friendly. I'm always impressed when someone explains the menu with interest despite probably having done it one million times before. The decor is pleasant and they have a wonderful little patio in the back.
Super delicious! You can tell the ingredients are top notch and that the panzerotti is made with love. Creative menu and clean space. Worth noting that it’s kid-friendly with high chairs and a changing table in the bathroom 👍
I travel from Connecticut to Brooklyn to get their panzerotti. Owners are great, service is great, and food and drinks are great! I especially enjoy the mashed potato with octopus... delizioso!!
Had my first panzerroto here and it was delicious! Like a small calzone, or a less messy slice of pizza. Fresh ingredients, friendly owners, and neighborhood vibes -- highly recommend as a snack stop if you are nearby! 100% worth it
Food is definitely made with love and care. The Panzerotti are made fresh to order. We first tried the tuna one (mozzarella, tuna and sliced onions) and were blown away by how light and delicious it was despite being fried. The dough is light and airy. Also tried the porcini one and it also didn't disappoint. Nice selection of beverages including wines, Italian sodas and espresso based drinks. The chinotto soda was unique and paired well with the food. Excellent experience from start to finish!
Delicious- has been a staple since coming to the neighborhood. You can tell how fresh the ingredients are and we always go with a classic and one of the weekly specials. 10/10
There are so good. I have no idea how they get the fried ones so delicately fried. Had a fried classic and a baked special with broccoli rabe and sausage. Both were so tasty that we had to get a third to try - the salami. Amazing. Dough shell so crispy and thin. Stuffing all fresh and delicious. Could eat a lot of these!
Went to Panzerotti Bite with my daughter today. I’m originally from Calabria, old-school family, deep south: fresh cappelletti, ricotta from our own sheep, capocollo and prosciutto we cure ourselves, tomato sauce the aunts bottled every September for the whole year, our own wine — nothing ever from a store. These panzerotti are the real thing, exactly the taste of Italy. The lady who served us (maybe the owner) has that true old-country beautiful Italian heart(and accent😊). My daughter and I both said the same thing: this is it. If I brought my family here from Calabria they would feel like they’re eating at the friggitoria down the street from the house. To the staff You don’t know me — i just came in, ordered and left — but please keep doing exactly what you’re doing. You’re amazing. ❤️🇮🇹 I'll be back - many times..
From 1 to 5 stars, Panzerotti Bites deserves 6 stars. We had a variety of fried panzerotti (think Italian version of empanadas) and they were all light and flavorful. No oil residue. Forget fine dining! Panzerotti are authentic, delicious street food and the soul of Italy. I cannot wait to go back! P.S. The food was so good, I forgot to take pictures, except at the end.
I CRAVE these panzerotti, they’re such a simple meal but so so good. Sauce tastes amazing, dough is fresh and crunchy. I believe it’s run by the owners and they are so sweet and kind. Atmosphere is casual, but they have a cute backyard with some seating.
What a lovely spot! Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere and staff. The food is delicious! We all got ours fried, I had the Tuna, my friend had the Salame and my husband had the Classic. We all loved ours and finished completely! I highly recommend trying this place!
What a gem! This place is truly spectacular. We stumbled upon Panzerotti and it turned out to be one of the best food experiences we’ve had in Brooklyn. The panzerotti themselves are simply divine — each bite bursts with flavor but never feels heavy. If you’re looking for something indulgent yet balanced, satisfying yet light, this is the place. We tried several: mortadella (an absolute standout — one of the best bites I’ve had in NYC), prosciutto, salami, and porcini. All of them were incredible in their own way. The ingredients are fresh, thoughtfully combined, and clearly made with love. But what truly elevates this experience is the people behind it. The space is run by a young couple — warm, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. The service is exceptional, and the vibe is genuine. You immediately feel like you’ve been invited into an Italian home. The minimalist decor, which they designed themselves, adds just the right amount of charm — cozy, clean, and full of character. Their curated selection of wines and beers pairs beautifully with the food and completes the experience. If you’re looking for a meal that feeds your soul as much as your appetite, come to Panzerotti. It’s not just food — it’s family, it’s flavor, it’s joy. Thank you to the team for creating something so special. We’ll absolutely be back — and we’re telling everyone we know.
An Italian gem in every bite Visiting this panzerotti restaurant felt like being transported straight to the heart of Italy. The authentic flavor, perfect dough, and fresh ingredients make each panzerotti a unique experience. But beyond the food — which is simply incredible — what truly makes this place special is the warmth and dedication of its owners. You can feel the love they put into everything. A magical place I will definitely return to.
Good luck with your search for any negative or less than stellar reviews. It’s fairly impossible not to like this. Add the friendly owners, the backyard, the Italian sodas and you got the complete experience. After trying a few on back to back visits, my favorite is clearly the Porcini. Panzerotti are one of my absolute favorite things from Italy, and they do them so well! Nice and clean restaurant, and the owners are very friendly. I just learned that they ship mini frozen panzerotti nationwide, so I will be placing and order since I don’t get to visit Brooklyn enough to regularly enjoy their delicious food! I added the arugula salad on my last visit, and it was a wonderful and simple compliment to the fried classic for a very enjoyable dinner.
FOOD This place is absolutely delicious! It was my first time trying a panzerotto in New York and I could immediately taste the authentic ingredients, fresh from Italy. Some people might think or comment they're empty a bit empty but I thought the dough to filling ratio was just right, especially since they're meant to be eaten horizontally (keep in mind if you eat it vertically you will have a few very empty bites and then too much filling). 10/10, and from the ones I tried, the classic was just unbeatable. SERVICE Great service all around, you can tell all the staff is Italian, and proud to share their culture. The lady who helped me was incredibly nice and took her time answering all my questions about the food and how it was made, I fekt very welcomed! ATMOSPHERE The place is very small, but that only makes it feel cozy, they have a nice outdoor area too which must be perfect for summer time. Lots of decorations straight from Italy, you can tell the owners don't want to impress you with a stylish deco, they just want to be authentic and show you a classic Italian restaurant experience.
