The chai latte is everything here. I have had it a few times and every time it taste like heaven. To be honest its way better than the starbucks version and that use to be my go to spot until i found cafe D'avignon. The blueberry cake is also delicious as well as some of the breads.

this review is based on a rye sandwich I purchased and the most delicious honey cornmeal lemon cake. omg! I did not expect such a moist cake. loll so good I had to review. Thank you for some good quality not super sweet goodies!

The chocolate olive oil cake and the croque monsieur were both delicious. Their breads are wonderful as always. Only one issue: the quiches need to be kept covered away from flies or ideally in a refrigerator.

Oh my god I have dreams of this iced vanilla latte. There are cafes with 5 stars around the area and no ones doing it like avignon! Prefect balance of sweet and strong and always freezing cold. Little pricy like everything else in Market Hall, but so worth it.

Quiche with bacon, decaf americano with oat milk - delicious combo! Always have samples on the counter, so you literally have a chance to try everything in different days & all i tried turned to be is tasty. Yum place.

I always go to Dekalb regularly for different restaurants but I had never gotten coffee around there. However, I am pleased to say their coffee is amazing - ASIDE from the good coffee, however, the staff were AMAZING. Now that is costumer service!

One of my favorite places to get a vanilla latte! The staff is incredibly friendly and the rewards are automatically applied so you don’t have to keep track of anything! The sour dough bread is very delicious!

The honey cornmeal olive oil cake was literally the most delicious pastry I’ve eaten in my life and I’ve eaten a lot of pastries all over the world 😭 please don’t ever discontinue this pastry!!! I dream about eating a slice or the entire loaf tbh every week 😹👍

As an avid coffee drinker i have to say its one of the best coffees in the market. Their customer service is excellent ask for Wendy the store manager and Angie the assistant manager and they will receive you with a smile, i cannot start my mornings without stopping by to say hello and get a cup of coffee.

I’m honestly surprised the rating is as low as it is (4.1). Never had a bad experience here. The pastries, coffee, and bread are delightful. The blueberry scone might be the best scone I’ve ever had. The croissants are delicious. Highly recommend.

Super delicious and friendly service! I’ve walked past this place a few times but never got anything until today. I got an oat milk latte and feta vegetable quiche! The servers were super friendly and informative. The coffee and quiche were delicious- flakey, creamy, sweet and savory. The coffee was smooth and creamy. Will definitely go back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cafe D'Avignon is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere and incredible service made me feel right at home. The staff was friendly, attentive, and truly passionate about their craft. The *Maple Oat Latte* quickly became my new favorite – perfectly balanced, creamy, and not too sweet, with just the right touch of maple. It was like sipping a cozy hug in a cup! As for the pastries, they’re as much a visual masterpiece as they are a delight to eat. Every croissant, tart, and cake on display looked like it belonged in a Parisian bakery. The flaky layers, rich flavors, and melt-in-your-mouth texture were pure perfection. If you're a lover of great coffee and fresh, artisanal pastries, Cafe D'Avignon is a must-visit! Can’t wait to return for another latte and pastry fix!

Absolutely amazing baked goods. Had to have some splurging birthday’s breakfast this morning and absolutely love what I got at d’Avignon. The almond croissant 🥐 was amazing. The baguette 🥖 couldn’t be better and the cranberries pecans loaf 🥖 was a joy even just to look at. A little Paris at the heart of Brooklyn 💕

9.30.17 - always freshly baked, wide variety of baked goods, and They have cold brew on tap! ***initial review*** Hands down one of the best bakeries in NYC. I used to go to the location in Essex Street Market to get their Cranberry Walnut Bread and 7 Grain Bread every weekend and now it's in Brooklyn - unreal! The staff seems very welcoming and playful. Dekalb Market Hall is starting out strong!

Really delicious croissants. Gruyere and ham croissant is super flaky with a nice amount of cheese and meat to balance out the decadent butter pastry. The chocolate croissant was fantastic with nice bittersweet chocolate to round out the semi sweet pastry dough. And a nice hot mocha to make a perfect breakfast. Fast and friendly service.

Lovely vibe and tres chic downtown bistro. Got a Salted Maple Oatmilk Latte & Pumpkin Spice Latte because why not, it’s fall. Also grabbed two of the best croissants I’ve ever had, all for a decent price. Only regret is not asking them to warm it up for me. Definitely will recommend & revisit while I’m in town.

Ordered the croissant bread pudding and was hugely disappointed. It had blueberries in it and and with some sort of sauce on the side. With the exception of the blueberries, it was flavorless. The regular croissant and chocolate croissant were lovely.

We came from out of the town for a quick business trip and stopped for a quick breakfast here. This chocolate almond croissant was to die for! Also not pictured was a delicious chocolate chip sea salt cookie which was soft and chewy. The quiche was not my particular favorite but they had a few sandwiches that looked good for next time!

Corner Coffee Shop “Cafe d’Avignon”in City Point Brooklyn Shopping Mall is a convenient spot for those looking to grab a quick coffee to go. They also offer a small but delightful selection of fresh pastries. The space isn't really set up for enjoying your coffee on-site, which might be a drawback if you're hoping for a cozy café experience. Nonetheless, the friendly staff adds a nice touch to the overall atmosphere. If you're in the area and need a quick caffeine fix along with a tasty pastry, it is definitely worth a visit!

The extension upstairs is much better in my opinion. Not only the location is much quieter but there’s sunlight that makes it more inviting. Staff was attentive and swift in expediting orders. Reliably good croissant and coffee.

Busy but good place to stop for cafe au lair, cappuccino and morning pastry or bread. The staff is a less friendly than you might want, but the service and products remain top notch. Note that this stand is located inside and downstairs of the City Point Center at Albee Square. It will most likely keep with the times of the shopping center.

My favorite bakery in this neighborhood and I went there almost everyday. People are nice and good at their job except one male barista. He always forget your choice of bread or milk selection. He often heat the milk to extra hot, which ruins a coffee. Imagine how frustrating that is.

9am on a Sunday morning, this place is one of the few lively booths in Dekalb Market Hall while the others are still waking up from slumber. A short line of early birds waiting to get their breakfast savories, pastries, and coffee - and delicious they all are! My smoked salmon bun was heated up in the back, melting the whipped dill cream cheese and toasting the brioche bun to just the right degree of flakiness. Wide selection of breakfast sweets in the bakery section and the coffee is great too. The quiche and croissants look extra buttery and flaky. Lovely place to start your morning off or to pick up a mid afternoon snack!

The cafe is in the basement of complex at Fulton street. Very cute cafe with a lot of bread, quiche and pastry options. I really love the variety they have. There is a common sitting for bunch of vendors on the floor. A bit overpriced but worth it.

The mini olive and egg sandwiches are so good !! The sandwiches are showcased at a price of 4.75 whilst the cashier rings it up at a charge of 5.25 and refused to change it. She was so rude! She needs to be re-trained regarding her poor attitude! This happened today, 9/8/22. People beware of overpricing! This cafe bar is located upstairs in citypoint.

Felt compelled to write a review when my 12oz regular late increase more than a dollar! That’s truly INSANE. The food (besides the olive oil cake) is quite delish, and everyone is always so kind. But I cannot believe this crazy inflation. I will literally not come here again. I will go to ABA cafe around d the corner.

The baked goods and the quiches are what you would expect from a proper French bakery but way overpriced at this point, they pushed up prices too high for what they sell. Coffee is not very good and quality is inconsistent, baristas clearly aren't well trained. Lattes end up too bitter or watery half the time. Plus they don't allow customers to use reusable cups when many coffee shops do in the neighborhood!

Good cookie but bad banana bread and they need to heat up the items too! Great coffee though but everything is a bit overpriced and there aren't enough pastry options

Pastries are solid, but the espresso doesn’t hold up. It often tastes under-extracted and varies a lot depending on who’s making it. Love the atmosphere, just wish the coffee was as consistent as the vibe.

The coffee was good but very small compared to other drips in Brooklyn. Was not impressed with the baked goods. The bread pudding was dense and a weird chewy texture and oddly cold and sorry of stale and came with a sweet cream that was also not tasty. The worker was kind enough to let us exchange. We got a pain au chocolat that was not flaky like it should be and was instead doughy and wet. The almond croissant was the best but even that was overcooked, slightly burnt and overly dry rather than flaky. At $5 for a slice and $4.75 for the croissant, I would not recommend it.

Found two broken matcha whisk pieces in our matcha latte, and generally way too expensive. Just don't see the value here, except convenience.

Honestly, having a bakery in town is phenomenal. The coffee is pretty decent as well. The service is a hit or miss. Sometimes the staff can be friendly and efficient, but I've had so many bad experiences as well. I had a server refused to give me a small cold brew without ice because she said she would have to charge me for a medium size cold brew if she gave me one without ice. They for some reason always have an issue with their cashier system. A few weeks back, they asked us to pay cash only because their computer system was down.. so we got our cash and came back to buy $45 dollars worth of pastries.. then they refused to take our $100 bill and made us go to Trader Joes to break our bill into $20s because they did not want to break our $100. This would've been fine if they had just told us initially so we didn't have to make two trips to get cash. Today, I used apple pay to pay for a 10 dollar sandwich and the cashier system was slow. I got a notification that the payment went through on my credit card, but the cashier was insistent that it did not process,.. so I waited for the machine to process my payment. While the machine was processing, she went ahead and reset the computer system. I told there that I received a notification on my Apple Pay that the payment went through. She told me I should check my credit card app because Apple Pay wasn't accurate, so I checked my credit card app and I showed her that my payment went through. She proceeds to yell at me that I need to pay again, claiming now that my credit card app was not accurate. I told her that I did not want to be double charged for a sandwich and she says that if I do get double charged, that I should just call the bank and dispute it. At this point, I was tired of this employee unapologetically yelling at me over a sandwich and was also really annoyed for being asked to spend so much of my time & effort in trying to buy one, so I just left without anything. Please have your machine fixed or have better customer service.

Coffee was great, service was quick and welcoming. My breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, arugula and cheese on a bagel) only default that scare the life of me was that it was put to heat up but was cold like it never got heated up. I would put your employees through another food safety run just to be safe if I was the manager or owner. 13 dollar breakfast from hell. Pray I don't get sick. 🙏

Their nekoyama matcha had a toothpaste aftertaste and tasted watery. The guy staff made it randomly scooping a random amount of matcha and then used tap water and then whisked it. Matcha is supposed to be made with hot water. If that was hot tap water then it has lead in it. Most disgusting matcha i ever had

The baristas were so rude and didn't put any care into making me and my friend's iced lattes. The flavor was fine but they gave it to me with like 4 ice cubes so it was all warm. Even the lady in front of me complained about how rude the cashier was. Overall really really disappointing. Except for the man who helped us pick out a nice bread roll; he was super kind, helpful and friendly.
