Bodega Rioja Alta Alfoz de Quintanadueñas Reviews
A unique opportunity to visit a 130+ winery in the golden mile of Rioja. The DNA of this winery could be felt and tasted with this visit. A real treat. Great storytelling and journey through time driven by Sarah, don’t leave the winery without stopping at their Garage del Club de cosecheros!!!
A wonderful tour experience with very educational tasting! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Rocio and learned a lot❣️ We will be bringing people back here this fall.
Exceptional tour and beautiful bodegas! Sarah was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who you can tell is really passionate about wines. Would definitely recommend to take the tour and learn about the impressive history of this winery.
Sarah was warm and welcoming as were the other staff even though I arrived barely 45 mins before the closing time on Sundays, 3pm. Amazing 1997, 2004 of course and the latest 2015 vintages of the 904 Gran Reserva. The half plate of Jamon at 13 Eur was delicious too. What an experience and yes.. they do well back vintages too unlike other bodegas. Just ask! Thanks to Guillermo and Sarah for this experience.
Nice visit. Beautiful property with some quality wines. Not buzzed enough to get the 57 euro glass to see how much better it is than the 904 reserva...
There is a reception and shopping section in an authentic and historical building and a wine bar and sales section in the opposite building "El Garage Del Club De Cosecheros", garden was attentive and enjoyable. We had "Discovering La Rioja Alta Tour". Our guide was diligent and knowledgeable, but he seemed a little nervous at the beginning. After a nice tour, before starting the tasting, my request for water was met with surprise, she took care of it. But she couldn't find it. All the wines except Gran Reserva 904 1997 were of decent quality. The age of this wine deserves respect, but the fruit had abandoned it years ago. Vina Alberdi was very fruity and had good balance, Vina Ardanza and Vina Arana were perfect examples of Rioja. As I couldn't understand 904 and would like to meet with 890 we passed to wine bar building. Gran reserva 904 2015 was amazing and has great capacity for aging. Gran reserva 890 2010 was also complex and elegant, long aging capacity but little pricy. It was a very satisfied visit and I recommend everyone.
They have of of the best wines in Spain.
Very nice visit and wine tasting experience at this bodega. The guide was friendly and it made it a great funny experience, we learnt a lot about the history of the bodega and had 3 glasses of wine to taste (1 white, 2 red) for just 20 euros overall
Haro, the region in La Rioja is full of wineries. We paid €20 for the experience and got really good insights. 3 glasses of wine is included. And at the end you can have 1 extra glass of your favorite wine. 🍷
Visited the Bodega just for a couple of glasses of wine with my fiancée and a quick tapas/bite to eat. Spectacular wine, great service, fabulous building, and a general very nice time. Obviously walked away with another bottle of wine for the cellar. A must if you’re in the area!
Road-trip: La Rioja, Haro - Bodegas La Rioja Alta offers tours (advanced reservations recommended, can book online or by calling) and has a wine bar and store inside its grounds called El Garage del Club de Cosecheros. Enjoy the wine with indoor and outdoor seating and with a few tapas (i.e., chorizo and picos) available.
A nice place to visit and enjoy some glass of wines! You can find wine by glass in the bar, and also the bottled wine which sold there. You can taste all portfolio of La Rioja Alta and the wines from same Company Group like Aster, and also buy some bottles with good price.
Beautiful winery, amazing wines, and the enthusiasm by Lorena, our guide, was simply unbeatable. A definitely must visit in La Rioja! Plus you can taste every single one of their wines by the glass in their wine bar which is amazing if you don't want to spend 140e on a bottle (:
We had a wonderful tour and tasting under the expert guidance of Lorena. She really helped us to understand the wine and the processes, and was willing to answer all of our questions. The setting is beautiful and we were pleased to be able to take some time with the other international tourists there at the same time drinking wine on the terrace afterwards. I thoroughly recommend this tour if you are in Haro and would like to know more about their lovely wine.
If you are visiting Haro, you can not miss the Bodegas La Rioja Alta S.A. The estate, wine shop, and tatsing room are top-notch! You have to taste their 890 gran reserva Rioja wine, either 2011 or 2015 vintage! The location and neighbours wineries are incredible, including Bodegas Roda, Muga, or Lopez de Heredia! Haro and Bodegas La Rioja Alta are must visit places when you are in La Rioja region !
This Bodega is simply exquisite. The wines are also superb. This is one of those perfect places that simply have to be experienced, if youvenjoy premium quality, then put it on your bucket list.
Great experience. We’ve learned a lot about the history of the region and about wine making. Highly recommended

We visited the bar for a glass of wine and some nibbles after a visit to a nearby bodega, and it was a lovely experience. The space is beautiful - warm, inviting, and perfect for unwinding. The wine and drinks list is extensive, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. We also enjoyed a delicious charcuterie and cheese board, which paired perfectly with the wine. If you’re planning a wine crawl, this spot is definitely worth adding to your list!
Lovely, history-filled bodega. We did a special wine tasting where they poured older vintages of their 904 and Arana wines (2015, 2016 and 1997). A real treat. My only feedback would be for the wine tour guide to be a bit more mindful of senior citizens on the tour and check in to see if they are doing alright walking along the many stairs and steps - we were often falling behind with my grandma and it would have been nice to perhaps find a shortcut for her or slow down the overall walking pace of the group just a bit so that we weren't lost all the time trying to keep up. 🙏
Good wine on offer but hard to get attention at the wine bar. We had two glasses of Rioja at the wine bar. Staff were nice enough when serving but had to work to get their attention while they were snacking in the back aisle.
Located in the Barrio, we went to the Wine Store / Bar (not tour) which offers lots of wines by the glass as well as small snacks. Lots of locals.
