Brio Allen Reviews
If all you had for Italian food was Olive Garden or a pizza place that also serves ravioli, this place will not only please you with great food but also change your option on Italian food entirely for the better. Michelle was our server and gave us great recommendations and was attentive to our needs, will be my go to place for a craving of Italian!
Warm and welcoming bar staff. Made me feel like a frequent customer on my first visit. Explained dishes and drinks and were aware of my needs and did it it with a smile; very rare these days!
My girlfriend and I decided to go to Brio for our three year anniversary. We had never been to the restaurant prior to today. I can confidently say that the staff, the atmosphere, and the food was delicious! Shawn, the manager, stepped up and took great care of us whenever our server did not greet us. Shawn made the whole experience worthwhile! I highly recommend to check out the restaurant and the beautiful atmosphere. P.S. The tiramisu was absolutely divine!
I had an amazing experience during my visit! The pasta was delicious — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What really made the night special was the exceptional service. Holly was fantastic! She made me feel genuinely welcomed, was attentive without being overbearing, and took great care of me throughout the meal. You can tell she truly cares about her guests. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I really enjoyed our server, and the host had very great enthusiasm and energy, they could probably use more help in the kitchen, I could tell our server was a bit flustered bc of the wait. But it was a lovely experience the food was fresh and very well prepared!
Cash was a breath of fresh air tonight as she took care of my family. Great energy, Menu knowledge, drink recommendations all perfect. Bought two bottles of wine tonight when I didn’t plan to drink. Will be back.
John McRae went above and beyond to take care of our family. Made sure we were happy and the food came out hot and fresh. Service was a 10/10! Food was a 10/10. Atmosphere 10/10
John was awesome! Would definitely come back again! The prices are very good for the deals! And we got served very fast.
My wife and I made reservations for Valentine's Day at Brio and aside from the wait we were not disappointed. We started off at the bar until our table was ready. I really like the lettuce wedge that you can customize to your taste. We had lobster and shrimp fettuccine and salmon. The salmon had small aldente sweet potato cubes along with asparagus and red bell pepper. I highly recommend Brio!
What a fabulous experience! Zach was fantastic and attentive! He was training Mia who also was wonderful. We will certainly be back! Cheers
The customer service rendered by Don, our waiter, was A1, excellent. He took time to describe in detail our main course plate choices. The timing between plates was perfect. My drink, the Aperol spritz was prepared to perfection. The Brio pasta was cooked "al dente" Italian style, superb. The wedge salad was Crispy, fresh and the dressing delicious. The crusted beef medallions were cook to perfection medium-well. And finally, the tiramisu was terrific. I went with my wife, on Saturday at 3:00 pm. We enjoyed the whole experience.
Our server Zach was great. He was friendly, quick, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. One of the better experiences we’ve had here for sure.
We always love coming here. The food is always delicious and all the staff is great. We spoke to Beverly last night and she absolutely made out night, she was so friendly and gave us all her recommendations which we will be coming back to try 10/10!!!
We hosted a group lunch for 50 people. The food was delicious and the service was great. This is the third year we have done our lunch at Brio. Beto is great to work with
My husband and I had a nice night out. I had the mushroom ravioli, and my husband had the scallop risotto. The best thing we got was the side of gnocchi. I would totally get the gnocchi with a soup or salad. We had a great waiter that was patient while we took care of out 7 month old and were slow to order and eat. I would never recommend the mango tea, it was herbie and odd 🤮
We love Brio and especially,Stacy, the Bartender! She is always so kind and responds quickly! She has a beautiful personality and it shows from the gleam in her eyes! We love the food and the atmosphere is very comfortable. It reminds me of the TV show , “Cheers” in the 80’s! The manager that greeted us today was also wonderful! He let us take a picture with him and has a beautiful smile and he smells really great!
Love this place! Very pleasant atmosphere, big roomy, uncrowded patio (which is my favorite place to sit); food is wonderful! Flatbread appetizers are delicious, Ravioli is Bello is yummy and so is Lobster & Shrimp Fettuccine! Lemoncelllo Lemonade is recreshing! Our waiter Jackson was super nice & accommodating!
Brio is beautifully located, has warm ambiance. Chef special Pasta was the best pasta I ever had. Bruschettas were so yum. Fresh bread with butter was so good. Chef added more veggies and customized our veg menu. Thankful for that.We could enjoy Happy hour menu as well. It was birthday special occasion they gave us delicious cheesecake..Amazing experience would like to visit again. Posting video on instagram for more information.
I had dinner at Brio Italian Grille at Watters Creek and the entire experience was outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for both a relaxing evening and a special night out. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was taken care of without ever feeling rushed. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked pasta, and rich flavors that made every bite memorable. From start to finish, everything felt thoughtfully prepared and delivered with genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Brio to anyone looking for an excellent Italian dining experience in Allen!
Zach was hands down the BEST i have ever had in a very long time. Really had me enjoying the entire meal and atmosphere with every refill and small chat. Will indeed be coming again just for him!
Came today to celebrate my bday lunch but they only have dinner menus on the weekend but that was cool because I actually got the full portion lasagna and as always it was great. We had the calamari for appetizers and the white lime sauce was good to dip in. My daughter and friend had the shrimp fettuccine. For desert we had the caramel cheesecake and ohh my gawd it is so rich and creamy and smooth, I was like forget the Cheesecake Factory. LOL!! Our waitserver was Saria, beautiful smile and always came to check on us. Shawn was the manager at the time and he came over and wished me Happy Birthday. They both had excellent customer service. Overall it was an awesome idea to come here today and enjoy ourselves. Thank you Brio, we will be back.
Jacob was amazing! We had such a wonderful dining experience at Brio Italian Grille! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — perfect for a relaxing evening out. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. But what truly made our night memorable was our server, Jacob. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. He gave great recommendations, kept our drinks full, and checked in just the right amount without ever being overbearing. It’s rare to find service that feels both professional and personal — Jacob nailed it. Highly recommend Brio if you're looking for a great Italian meal with top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back — and we’ll be asking for Jacob!
We hardly ever go to chain restaurants, but we had a $20 off coupon, so decided to give Brio a try. We were greeted warmly by the host, Beverly, treated nicely by the wait staff, Savannah, impressed with the selection of items on the menu, and very pleased with everything we ordered. We saw several items on the menu we'd like to try next time and this may become one of our favorite restaurants!
We went out on a casual birthday dinner trip to Brio on 10/12/35 and little did I know that my friend was in communications with the manager, which I found out later. Service was good with Beto as our server, and the manager (who I found out later was Shawn Leslie) came and checked on us in addition to every other table, and I didn't think twice about it. I just thought he was a good manager, making sure his patrons were happy. At the end of the meal, he brought out a small dessert for my birthday, catching me off guard! That's when I found out that he and my friend were in cahoots and had planned on a small dessert after our meal. While it was a small token, it meant a lot that Shawn was willing to work with my friend to make our meal special. All in all, a successful trip to Brio, made even more special because of Shawn.
This is one of our favorite places for date night. The service is always as close to perfect as it can get and the food - wow the food is always amazing. The Italian grilled pork chops are beyond words delicious. Fork tender and paired with the most delicious garlic mashed potatoes - wow. Yum. The ambience, service and delicious food make this a perfect romantic date night out and the reasonable prices, large dining area and perfect food also make it ideal for the perfect business dinner too!
The service here was phenomenal I had the pleasure of dining with Ro who was excellent! She was very attentive to us at the table and was also very understanding and polite when it came to me trying to figure out my food! I had really wanted Alfredo pasta and thought it wasn’t on the menu .. she not only assured me that it could be made but made sure that it was to my liking. Also thank you so much to Ulo who made sure that the chicken that had been missed on my sister‘s plate was brought out. 10/10 to the service here today I will definitely be back around again !
This place is such a hidden gem. I've never had a bad experience. Beverly greets you at the door, and GM Shawn checks on you during the meal. Michelle was our wonderful server this time. I love the lobster Bisque, and either the cold chopped salad or the wedge. I often order the chicken piccata or masala, but my favorite is the lamb chops. I was there for my birthday and loved the complimentary Lava cake with ice cream. I didn't do the happy hour this time, but the bar is a great setting for the over 40 crowd mostly, with nice discounted appetizers and cocktails. The outside patio is also wonderful as long as the weather complies.
New update: Visited Brio's today(10/25/24) for dinner and had KALIE as our waitress. She was the BEST waitress we've had so far, and there are many great servers here! We are still grieving over a recent huge loss in our family and Kalie's personality was exactly what we needed as she brought the life and energy back to us for the night! Once again the food was perfect! Had the Bruschetta Sampler, Beef Medallions entre', and the Pasta Brio. Also, opt for the Creme Brulee' to end the night with one of their BEST desserts! We'll definitely be back very soon and will be asking for Kalie to serve us again! -------------------- I don't normally give 5 stars since I absolutely save them for times like this latest visit to Brio's. We nvr look for negative since that'll occur on it's own. But when the Hostess provides a very warming reception right off the entrance, the wait staff on point from taking orders for drinks, appetizers, then entrées and get nothing wrong and kept ALL soda/tea drinks replaced without asking nor waiting till we are sucking down the residue at the bottom of the glass, and the food was EXCEPTIONAL, they fricken deserve 5 Stars with no question! We always start with their Lobster Bisque since it happens to be our FAV place to get this! The Calamari was amazing! The Grilled Steak Salad(med rare) was cooked to perfection with a steak that was absolutely delicious as one of the best steaks from around all of the DFW metro, and we eat at a LOT of steak places. Ingredients of the salad was SO SO good and very fresh! Our friends had the Grilled Salmon Salad that both said was cooked perfectly and not dry! No desserts this time and no wine as well, since it was lunch and going back to work, but they do have a GREAT wine selection of that's your thing:)
One of the best Italian restaurants in the area. We tried several of their seafood dishes such as salmon salad, lobster fettuccine, etc. and loved them all. Pizza was also awesome - kids loved it. Tiramisu dessert was great. Customer service was extremely pleasant and welcoming and reasonable prices for what you get. Decor was very relaxing and impressive - especially the outdoor balcony area.
We had a wedding here and it was really great! There were about 35 people and we used a side room and we comfortably had the ceremony and dinner with no issues. The water feature outside provides great picture opportunities. We had a menu drawn up with 3 selections and the prices were very reasonable. I saved a lot of money and had a very memorable and intimate wedding. The guests raved about the food! The management and staff were awesome! I highly recommend this establishment.
Avery took care of us and helped us through a very large menu. It was our first visit but she had a way of making me feel confident that I was getting a taste of the house favorites. My boyfriend had a wedge salad with grilled chicken. I had lobster bisque, spinach artichoke dip and lasagna. The bisque is very buttery and has a touch of sherry. The lobster is so tender that it melts into the soup. I thought it could use some spice but Avery recommended I dip some bread in to. Instead I dipped the parm cheese crisps from the artichoke dip. It made all the difference! Those crisps were just what was needed and they also went great with the dip. The lasagna felt like a larger portion for lunch but I still ate it all. The sauce is sweet but it was more about the cheese. Creamy and smooth with a nice bite to the pasta. We ended our decadent lunch with a scoop of vanilla bean Gelato. The flavor was bright, light and full of vanilla. Very good. I highly recommend this spot. The music is glorious and the atmosphere is very chic. I will be returning. I hope Avery will be there. She's a treasure!
Stacy provided outstanding bartending during my visit to Brio Italian Grill for thanksgiving , going above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. She was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even better. Because of her exceptional serving , I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this location to others.
Holly was an outstanding wonderful amazing waitress! We didn’t wait one minute for her to come greet us, our food came out quick she was on top of it all. Ask for Holly when you eat here. The manager Shawn is so welcoming, he is doing an amazing job at running Brio. Come eat at brio you won’t regret it
Zach was our server and he was awesome. Super attentive without hovering, great attitude, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Food came out perfect and timing was great. Would definitely ask for him again.
My first time here and I came on Christmas. Service was great food was delicious not too long of a wait and we got seated right away. Zach the waiter did a fantastic job with making sure our drinks were filled and that we were satisfied with the food . I will come back and recommend to others
The pork chops were on point, and the caesar salad was excellent. And the artichoke and spinach dip always is. But i'm writing this to compliment Zack K. He set a new standard for service! Visited often, paid attention, was good at explaining things, did great table maintenance, and he knew the menu backwards and forwards. Way to go dude.
I had the pleasure of being served by Stacy who is a wonderful server. She was attentive without being overbearing, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Every detail was handled with care, and her warm personality made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. I truly appreciated her professionalism and genuine hospitality this thanksgiving holiday . Highly recommend!
I came here to try something new and was greeted by Lorenz who took me to my table and also served me. He was very knowledgeable and recommended the pasta brio along with a Ceasar salad and lobster bisque. I would absolutely trust him to pick my meal again. Everything was delicious and hit the spot.
I was skeptical because I don’t care for Italian food but it was delicious. I would recommend to anyone. I loved the experience from beginning to end. Our waiter Alex was amazing. He advised as a first timer to try the chicken limone and the food did not disappoint. The atmosphere was clean and friendly.
First time here. Reservations for 4 got right in. Colton's service was spot on! Ordered couple drinks the White Peach Bellini was very good. Starters Spinach and Artichoke dip very good, but the braised lamb chops were excellent! Entrees included Filet Mignon, Dime Filets, Chicken Milanese, and the Margherita flat bread pizza, all very good and seasoned perfectly. Finished it off with Tiramasu and Cheesecake. We will certainly be back!
I had such a wonderful experience at Brio Italian Grille thanks to our server, Zach. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcome and comfortable, greeting us with genuine warmth and a smile that set the tone for the evening. Zach’s passion for his work really shines through, he knows the menu inside and out and offered thoughtful recommendations that made our meal even more enjoyable. What stood out most was the way he balanced professionalism with friendliness; he was attentive without ever being intrusive, and he managed a busy dining room with ease while still making us feel like we were his top priority. It’s clear that Zach truly cares about creating a memorable experience for his guests, and he succeeded in making ours exceptional. Brio is always a great choice for Italian dining, but Zach’s service elevated it to something special.
John was an exceptional server! From the moment we were seated, we could tell how strong his work ethic is, he was constantly running around the restaurant, handling many tables at once, yet never forgot a single detail. Everything came out perfectly timed, and nothing was missed. He was polite, personable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. His recommendations were spot-on and really elevated our experience. As first-time guests, we were also so impressed by how wonderful the food and ambiance of the restaurant were. Everything came together for an amazing dining experience. Truly outstanding service, we’ll definitely be back and asking for John again!
I’m visiting from out of town, and I really enjoyed the service, Food and ambience at this restaurant. My server was Andrea, She was very polite, and offered exceptional service. My food was delicious, I had the chicken limone. The flavor was on point and the food came quickly. I Will definitely return When I am back in town from my next business meeting and highly recommend. Prices were very affordable and well worth it.
If I could give this place ten stars I would! We live not too far from Brio and decided to try it. I was a little worried because it asks for reservations online. But when we got there it was such a beautiful experience. The atmosphere is very upscale but with an equal feeling of being relaxed and casual. Our server, Lauren, was sweet, helpful, patient, and very attentive. The food was a little on the pricey side but worth every penny. My husband is a whisky drinker and tried the Brio Old Fashioned which is made with amaretto instead of simple syrup. He said it gave the drink another level of flavor. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the butter sauce on the mushroom ravioli was delicious. We took dessert home and they were just as tasty. If you want a nice night out with some ambiance with great service, this is the place for you. They also have a brick oven that they bake their pizzas in. Thank you, Brio, for the amazing experience. We ordered two entrees, two adult beverages, and two desserts for $120.
I’m a new fan of Brio. We hosted our book club here and it was perfect. Very quiet, great service, and delicious food. The shrimp and scallop risotto was amazing. The tiramisu & cheesecake was a hit as well. My only complaint is it’s absolutely freezing in there. So much so that it’s uncomfortable and you’re ready to leave. We spoke to the manager, but it didn’t make a difference. So we froze in the meat locker for the duration of our meal. I would come back, but only if it’s room temperature. The food is good so maybe order to go.
Incredible service! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our server, Azul, was friendly, attentive, and very helpful throughout our visit. The food came out quickly and tasted great. I'd definitely recommend her and look forward to having her again next time!
We had the best time here! Azul was our server and she was so helpful and attentive! She provided quick service and was very happy to help us by recommending what to eat, refilling our drinks, and being an overall pleasure!! 10/10 will be visiting here again, and hopefully we get her again!
Great experience all around! Our company is local to the area, and we decided to have our end-of-year company dinner here on a Friday evening. We were able to reserve a private section of the restaurant where we had two large tables set up for all of us. The pre chosen menu allowed each of us to choose from 2 starters, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts which was a great way to provide an assortment of options. Everything was delicious, and our server was very attentive!
John was the perfect waiter for our visit, very attentive, friendly, and pleasant. He brought out freash baked bread with large slabs of butter just a short time after we were seated. My in-laws split the lasagna, and then couldn’t even finish their split portions. My wife had the chicken Marsala, and of course, I had to have a few bites. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned to a tee. I had the lasagna and ended up taking the other half home. Top notch food and pleasant atmosphere will make us return soon. Thank you John for taking such fantastic care of us. Happy Thanksgiving to you, the staff, and whom ever is reading this.
I recently visited Brio and had the pleasure of being served by Stacy, who handled everything with efficiency, professionalism, and genuine warmth. Her attentiveness to details and thoughtful recommendations immediately stood out. As someone from Italy, I naturally had high expectations when it comes to pasta and authentic flavors—and I’m happy to say this restaurant truly impressed me. The pasta pomodoro was exquisite, full of fresh, vibrant flavor. The drinks were also exceptional and presented with real care. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, and it genuinely elevated my dining experience. What made the visit even more memorable was Stacy’s hospitality. She checked in at the right moments, made sure I was comfortable, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay at the restaurant was enjoyable. Her kindness and attentiveness made me feel truly welcomed. I would highly, highly recommend.
First time here and everything was exceptional! From the moment we walked in, Beverly was spot on with her recommendations. Aly was our server and she was super sweet and told us about the best appetizer!! The shrimp and eggplant was delicious! Manager Shawn also stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our meal and ended up comping our dessert. Was everything delicious? Yes! Will we be back? Definitely!
I had a great experience at Brio Italian Grille. I ordered the Chicken Limone, and it was absolutely amazing—full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The staff was attentive and very friendly, which made the meal even more enjoyable. On top of that, the people I was seated near were also very pleasant, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I would definitely recommend Brio to anyone looking for delicious Italian food and great service.
We had the spaghetti pompdoro with shrimp. Fantastic. Strawberry basil lemon drink was fantastic. We live in the Atlanta area but will back when we are in the Allen TX area. Portions are great (pic is a 1/2, we split so we can try more. Carmel marscapon cheese was amazing Our waiter Jackson was attentive but not intrusive. It's our 2 year anniversary.. glad we found this place.
We enjoyed Christmas Night here. The food was fantastic. I’m a Jersey Italian that makes her own pasta and sauce, and I think this is the most impressed by an Italian restaurant in Texas. Service was great. Dylan was our server and he did an amazing job of keeping us entertained while we waited for our food. The wait time was 2+ hours for our entrees which seems excessive, however all things considered (family of 12, full restaurant, Christmas Day) we were understanding. I think they did a good job of trying their hardest to give us the best experience and Dylan was part of that experience. He even made our family photo. The manager did stop by at the end which was nice. One downside was that the bar ran out of espresso so we could not order our usual dessert cocktails and coffees. But again, we understand considering the holiday. Overall I would like to try this restaurant again with fewer people to have a better understanding of how their day to day operations and service goes.
I stopped in for a late lunch around 3:00 last week. The location has an old world vibe with Venetian plaster on the walls. I wanted to sit outside to enjoy the day but they said that the patio was closed so I grabbed a table in the bar area. I ordered a white peach sangria and flatbread from the appetizer menu on happy hour. They brought sourdough bread beforehand which was crispy and really cold butter that was a little difficult to spread. The white peach sangria was okay but I decided to try a glass of house wine afterwards. It was okay but not fabulous. The flatbread pizza was super crispy and very thin. The servers were friendly enough and had good follow-up. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The food was pretty good. Not the best however decent. It was not served piping hot but was warm enough to eat. Service was just okay. Had to ask for condiments, straw etc..and some of our tickets had wrong charges. This was a birthday group of 10. Nothing special was offered for the birthday girl..yet she had a good time and enjoyed her food and that's all that really mattered.
We have eaten here several times, we like coming a great menu selection and the staff is fantastic. Overall the food is always good from kids to adults and you can make reservations which is nice. Update: tonight i had the lobster shrimp risotto and it was amazing. Do not pass this dish up. The lobster bisque soup was full of lobster and was the perfect consistency.
Andrea S was amazing. She’s been there 11 years and that’s a huge testimony to their staff. She was very accommodating to our request and was consistent on checking in. The food here is delicious! The manager was also walking around, making sure everything was good. We’ve eaten here 4 to 5 times and will eat here in the future.
This is a great location for Sunday brunch. It’s easy to get into without reservations, the service is great & the food is even better! The shrimp & eggplant appetizer is a must try! Additionally, you won’t be disappointed with Pasta Brio especially if you add shrimp! The staff is very welcoming especially the hostess, Beverly who treated us like royalty!
The setting was beautiful, and the staff were attentive and being able to sit outside a nice bonus. I wanted to love this place, but somehow the food didn’t meet my expectations. It was beautifully presented as you can see from the photos, but didn’t especially wow either myself or my husband. His salmon was slightly fishy and my chicken not as tender as I would have hoped. The Marsala sauce was good. Maybe I should have stuck to pasta dishes.
So.. I was here on a business trip, and we had 80 people for them to serve. We had preselected our order 2 weeks before due to the large group. I had the Chicken Limone with mashed potatoes and broccoli 🥦. The mashed potatoes were very cold and stiff. The chicken had no flavor. The broccoli looked pitiful. I ordered the chocolate molten cake with vanilla Gelato, and I did not eat it. It was supposed to be warm and have chocolate coming out of the center. (That's what the picture showed) It was very disappointing. It was cold, hard, and more like a thick paste. Now, the service was great. They had plenty of staff serving our large group. I just wish the food would have been more flavorful and hot.
My husband and I wanted to try a new restaurant from our normal go to. I have wanted to try Brio for a bit. I love the old style atmosphere. It's quite a beautiful restaurant. They might we went, they had a few big parties. So, we were aware we would need to wait for a bit. We waited almost 20min before a server acknowledged us. He was very mild in personality, which is not too big of a deal to me. We ordered calamari for an appetizer. It was pretty rubbery, seemed a bit under cooked. Both my main meal and my husband's were delicious. We will definitely go back again.
The food was good, complimentary bread wasn’t the most delicious one we have had, but it was decent. The staff and servers were very courteous and attentive to the needs. We ordered the Brio Pasta and asked for chicken on the side. The pasta was decent, missing some salt to our taste. They didn’t have kids cheese pizza at the time but they were able to make a cheese flatbread for our daughter, which was very nice. The French fries were good too. The margarita we ordered also had good amount of alcohol and tasted great - not too sugary sweet.
First time experience at this restaurant, my husband and I were in the mood for some Italian food and we always pass by this place and we stopped in after work . We were seated immediately, the restaurant is nice and spacious with expanded seated for sure . So if you wanna bring family or friends do so. I enjoyed the bread and butter , I got a lobster pasta (8/10)and my husband had mushroom ravioli (10/10)it was pretty good overall . We so had the lobster bisque and it wasn’t bad , I’m just not a huge fan.
The establishment looked very good and well-maintained. The restaurant interior was bright and well-organized with a beautiful and large dining space. The foods tasted good. However, Sausage Carbonara was really salty. The price seemed a bit higher than the recent marketing level in the similar competitive restaurants. The server was friendly but quite pushing us to finish our dishes.
Me and a friend went to brio for the first time on 4/13, they were busy so I’m glad I made a reservation online. It did not take long to be seated. I have to say that the food was good and tasty, but for the amount you pay, my friends portion was small and they are very skimpy with the lobster. I had the lobster and shrimp pasta, there was definitely more shrimp than lobster in it. I had a margarita that was very strong, almost too strong to drink. We spent $108 on two entrées, one appetizer, one drink, and a dessert. I will visit them again.
I went to lunch with friends on a Sunday afternoon . I ordered Chicken Marsala. Chicken was overcooked and not much flavor. My friend ordered eggs benedicts and she barely had anything on her plate. 3rd time I had been here and the food was subpar. Need to bring this restaurant back to life . Its pretty empty every time I have been there. thank you
Standalone table serve semi upscale restaurant in Waters Creek. Service was fine but not exceptional. Food and drinks were fine but not great. Maybe half the tables were in use on the Friday night we were there. I personally would contribute that to the prices... Wow. The dining experience was marginally better that Chili's or TGI Fridays, But the prices are 3X to 4X. I'm sorry. I've been to a lot of places that are worthy of prices like this place charges, but this is not one of them. Are they raising the prices to make up for the lack of customers? Don't know., But I am not impressed and I definitely would not recommend at all. Sorry folks. Go elsewhere.
This was my first time here. My son had a kids cheese pizza (is was great), my wife had the shrimp and scallops and I had the chicken marsala (laking flavor). The biggest issue that I had was that there was tiny flies flying around our food the entire time we were. Not sure if that was the case for everybody.
Brio’s Allen has always been a staple for myself and husband. The food, service, and atmosphere is mostly top tier. Which is why we come back. However, tonight experience was less than stellar. But, in the midst of ithis bad experience, a customer light shined through by way of a great Hostess Ms. Beverly she had excellent customer service, inviting personality, and was attentive to our needs. With this terrible the experience the manager did adjust our bill- oh, they have great wine. In closing, we will try Brios Allen again, eventually.. but only because of Ms.Beverly who tried to right the many wrongs. From our terrible food, cold and dry chicken to slow order taking. Thank you Ms. Beverly, Brios Allen has truly found a customer service gem in you! #welefthungry
Went on a Saturday evening about 5pm, party of 3. Nice waitress, but she never checked on us after receiving our food until the dessert pitch. The manager comes by when you've had your plate for 2 minutes, so yeah, at that time, everything appears to be okay when it wasn't. Mashed potatoes were hard. Broccolini was tasteless and hard. The venue was NOT packed, but oh well, we took our food to go.
Stopped by for a late lunch, wasn’t very busy; large establishment. Kitchen looked really clean, organized, and free of clutter. Have to say for the quality and authenticity the dishes were pricey; $25+ for a pasta dish and extra $10 or more to add a protein to it. Bread was fresh, hot, and delicious; butter was also nicely salted. Caesar salad was crisp and cold. Had the sausage rigatoni, it was spicy, sausage was flavorful. Portions are large so I e we’re able to split. All-in for one drink, pasta dish, and side salad about $40. Server was nice, split our meal on two plates. Overall good experience but wouldn’t necessarily feel compelled to come back with so many great choices in the area.
Good Italian Food I guess the rise in inflation has really impacted restaurants. We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunchtime and the restaurant was empty; barely 5 other tables. With that said, you’d think that service would have been spot on… unfortunately we had to keep flagging down our server for placing our order, drink refills, and check. The food however was tasty and filling. Too bad the appetizer came out with the food- so it was overwhelming to eat everything. Other than the service, the food and ambiance was good.
Not a fan of their pasta sauce. Service was much worse than Cheesecake Factory. Most importantly, the tiramisu we ordered came out still freezing; you can taste ice in it and the plate was served cold. Great atmosphere ideal for a date.
My family and I went for Christmas Day Dinner (there were 11 of us) and the food was just okay. I think the real problem most of us had was it came out cold. (Which I get it’s hard to make food for 11 people and have it all come out hot). The appetizers were great, the bruschetta sampler and the beef carpaccio!! Then we got to dinner and I ordered the pepperoni, sausage and ricotta flat bread and it was cold. My husband got the steak and said it was just okay. My daughter got the kids chicken parm and it was cold. Then my brother in law said his meal was also cold. My dad had to send back his lamb chop due to it being well done when he wanted medium. It just wasn’t the greatest dinner experience as far as food went. The dessert was all Togo and it was delicious! Love the chocolate chip bread pudding! Our server was good! He was attentive and very nice and accommodating, especially when my dad sent back his food. (Also their espresso machine is broken so that’s kind of a bummer if you want it with your cake.) Overall loved the server but I don’t think we will be back due to the food temperature.
Located just of 75 in the Watters Creak shopping area next to Cheesecake Factory. It’s a nice place inside and very large with a bar and outdoor seating. I came in for a midweek early lunch with a friend. There might have been 15 people there. They give you one loaf of bread and butter to get started. The bread wasn’t that good and took a machete to cut through it. Luckily it’s free. Our server wasn’t the best. She didn’t pay much attention to us and stood around with another waiter talking most of the time. She only had 3 tables to cover. Food wise I got the Chicken Milanese and my friend got the lunch size Pasta Brio. My friend liked her dish. It was on the smaller side, but it was the lunch portion. The chicken Milanese I had was very average. Not much sauce and the spaghetti was tasteless. There wasn’t much cheese on top of the breaded chicken. Chicken was breaded nicely, but again it wasn’t seasoned that well. The portion size was large and made for two meals which was good. Overall, my thoughts are the food was and service was average at best. The restaurant is nice and my portion was large. Price is on the higher side, my dish was $30 alone, so it’s just not worth it to me.
We received a really warm welcome from the friendly hostess. We were there for lunch. It was not crowded. Ordered the steak salad and asked for it to be cooked to medium. It came out totally rare and the server told me if I needed it cooked more, to let him know and he would take it back. So he knew?!? And still brought it out?!?! Were they going to disassemble the salad to put it back on the grill? There was blue cheese on top of the steak. I was in a hurry so I just ate small bits on the ends that were more cooked and left the red parts. Plus, I’m not one to send food back. Totally not worth $26. It had hardly any pecans on it. Also, this is a nice Italian restaurant that doesn’t even sell Aqua Panna water or any flat mineral water for that matter. My dining partner had the lunch spaghetti and it had hardly any meat. The lobster bisque was good. Overall disappointed and wont be back.
Made birthday reservations, was surprised to arrive to meet a guest and have been sat at the worst table in the place while the entire restaurant was empty at 5:00. The staff said we would sit there since I wasn’t signed up on their program. Long wait time, food not great waited about 20 minutes to be able to ask for menu. Not a place to celebrate a birthday. Called to complain to manager, they said they knew and that’s why they are quitting.
We got all of or food except our grilled salmon then we waited 10 minutes just for our waiter to say the kitchen was behind schedule so we asked to cancel it and to just get our check but she never came back for 30 minutes the the salmon came and she tied to take it back. Finally she said she would get our check but waited 20 more minutes they gave us our salmon for free but the food wasn't that good it was not worth the prices at all. The best thing was getting to leave. I do not recommend at all
Spent $500 at this "place". First ,service was simply awful! Our server had a real attitude, doing us a favor. Messed up my order and she was non responsive. I had to get up twice to pour my own water, server just sat there doing nothing. Food was average on a good day. Server did not know the menu. The manager, who appeared to hate his job as much as the servers, sat at the area by the open kitchen and ate his dinner in front of the customers while the seated customers could not get a server! Never going back!!
I usually don’t write bad reviews. Honestly, something has to go spectacularly wrong for me to pause my day, collect myself, and type one up. But here I am, fresh out of brunch at Brio, still shaking my head like I just survived a weird social experiment. Picture this: a slow Sunday afternoon, maybe six tables with people. Should’ve been smooth sailing, right? Wrong. Within minutes, I watched one poor guy march to the manager four separate times, like a contestant on Survivor begging for rice. The table behind me soon joined in the “Where’s My Food?” parade, and I even overheard a staff member muttering something along the lines of, “I should’ve had that calamari 22 minutes ago.” That’s when I realized: it wasn’t just us. Meanwhile, our waiter vanished into the abyss. Twenty minutes went by, no check-in, no “how’s everything,” nothing. At that point I was less annoyed and more genuinely worried for his safety. Was he okay? Did he quit mid-shift? Did Brio secretly double as an escape room? The kitchen scene was even more chaotic: chefs, waiters, and managers in a confused huddle that looked like they were planning a surprise party nobody actually wanted. And speaking of unwanted surprises, my “steak and eggs” arrived cold, limp, and so tragically sad it deserved a funeral. The only silver lining? We all suffered together, united in hungry despair. The entertainment value of watching fellow diners hit their breaking point was worth a single star. Otherwise, my favorite part of brunch was stepping outside afterward and realizing the sun still shines, even after Brio.
