Just enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Macaroni Joe's! One of the truly special restaurants in Amarillo. Their atmosphere is phenomenal, the food is always delicious, and the wait staff are the best. They know how to make dining out a memorable, fun and special experience. Very consistent and always enjoyable!

My wife and I don't stop by Amarillo often but we had a opportunity to stop by for a quick appetizer while the restaurant was slow. (disclaimer: major place for wine but the wife and I aren't drinkers any longer. Selection looked decent at first glance) The servers were knowledable and absolutely a treasure to deal with. The ambiance of the whole place is a low-lit pleasure, from the candle lit tables to the Italian-streetcorner feel of the rooms. On to brass tacks, the food: I can only guess what the rest of the menu is like from the calamari but let me say.. I've had squid in all different cuts from at least 30 different restaurants throughout the states..This was the most tender calamari I've ever had. They use cutlets from the bell which is a much different experience to the normal calamari rings you get in Texas. The price was very reasonable for the quantity received. We decided to share an order of Cajun pasta, to which our server brought it to us in perfectly sized bowls for each of us. A delightfully creamy, slightly spicy, tomato-base pasta with grilled shrimp. Delicious. I short, this place is a dream. Absolutely recommend and will be back.

It was the cutest little Italian restaurant, the food was amazing, atmosphere was perfect, and our sever Kaitlyn was amazing and did a wonderful job!! We will definitely be coming back, and recommend it to everyone.

My wife picked this restaurant for dinner before going to the symphony. I can say that she has fantastic taste! I mean just look at the pictures. The atmosphere and decor were amazing. You really feel like you're at an outdoor Italian Cafe. And the service was perfect. Our waiter was very attentive, polite, and well informed. I had the bone-in pork chop, with vanilla creme brulee for dessert. I had no idea that it was really TWO pork chops (look at the picture!). The sauce was amazing and the sear on the meat was unbelievable! The dessert was excellent, too. Perfectly crusted creme brulee with NO taste of egg in the custard. My wife has the blackened bayou with shrimp plus the 4 oz. blackened steak, with bread pudding with bourbon vanilla caramel sauce for dessert. The spicy Cajun flavor was great - with a very noticeable kick (as it should have). Just simply DELICIOUS! And the dessert.... just WOW! (Yes I had some of hers, too.) It really was too die for! We will definitely be back!

Had an early supper here. Everything was fantastic. We did not have any drinks . Had a very good wine list. We had the tuna appetizer very good with lots of black pepper. I had a bayou pasta with shrimp and blackend steak. Very good steak was perfect medium . Pasta had a lot of Cajun seasoning. It's pretty salty but good. My wife had the seared scallops and risotto. OMG!!! I will definitely be back for that dish again. LOVED IT!!

Great place for dinner. Food was fantastic and very large servings. Also the decor is exceptional. We had Jumpin Joe's Spaghetti Cruzan (very spicy, which I liked) and Lemon Butter Shrimp pasta. Also they served one of the best Manhattan cocktail I have had at a restaurant.

They were absolutely lovely!! Great service, very knowledgeable wine manager!! We had a burgandy wine to accompany our scallops and duck... The food was succulent. The wine was a Great pairing for both of our meals. We finished the night with a foodgasm!! A lavender honey infused creme brulee!! With a Delicious late harvest wine that sent our taste buds on an amazing journey!! We will definitely come back!!

Beautiful! This place was recommended to my better half after he was looking for somewhere romantic to take me for our anniversary and let me just say that I owe whomever told him about this place a giant hug. The atmosphere was stunning and cozy and the food was absolutely delicious. Our server made our experience unforgettable and her recommendations put us at ease regarding the menu. The wine was exactly what we wanted and the pasta was the best I've had in a long while. I was so stuffed I couldn't even think about ordering dessert but next time I'm definitely getting some tiramisu!

While everything was excellent it took almost an hour to get our main course to us, and all it was was the chicken spaghetti and the Mob chicken. The manager did compensate us so that was good. Overall I would say we would return.

The food is very delicious. They were shorthanded on wait staff. I wondered how catfish and pasta would go together but the blackened Cajun plate was very good and had a kick of spice. My wife had the green chile chicken which was also tasty. The ambiance was pleasant and cozy.

Update: Manager personally contacted me to apologize and make it right. We certainly appreciate the professionalism in owning the mistakes amd working to correct them. We will give it another visit soon. Very very disappointing visit and the only reason it got 2 stars was the food itself was very good. We had reservations for 7:30 and showed up at 7:20 and checked in and was told they were running a little behind might be 10 minutes before they could seat us. At 7:50 the manager came to us and said he was cleaning a table for us and would be another 2 or 3 minutes and disappeared. The hosteess mentioned they had other reservations that showed up late and they seated them which caused everyone else to be pushed... really why have reservations. It was another 15 minutes and not until I told the hostess I didn't like being lied to before we finally got seated. The reservation asked if special occasion and I filled in Anniversary. Never once did anyone mention that or even ask if there was a occasion. The waitress did her best but somehow we ordered drinks and about 7 minutes later we ordered our food. Another 10 minutes and our salad appeared but drinks took another almost 7 minutes. The manager walked by our table 4 times never once stopped to apologize or even ask how the food was, nothing after having talked to us in the lobby. They never told the waitress of our wait and the only apology we ever got was the hostess. Needless to say we will have to find another place to celebrate special occasions as Macaroni Joe's, who wants to be considered an elegant higher end place, doesn't know how to make that happen.

Went there two times in the last month and honestly will never be back. The first time was mid October we had a large party. Some of our party ordered the 5 oz filet and what came out was like 2 oz filets and they were all over cooked and wrong. The drinks from the bar were terrible. I asked for an espresso martini with a little bit of cream and it came out like ice cream it had so much cream and zero foam on top. The asked for a dirty martini slightly dirty it was the dirtiest one I had gotten in my life. Fast forward to two weeks later we decided to give it another try, same exact thing not one persons steak at the table was cooked right the pastas had no flavor and the bar drinks were terrible. For a place where our bill for 4 people was 250$ + this is absolutely inexcusable. Will not be back here again.

We ordered a Togo order. 3 meals in one bag and 2 in the other. Checked our bag. Missing one meal and an app. Went back inside got the issue fixed only to make it home and have the complete wrong entree in one bag. Beyond irritating since overall 3 items were wrong for the price of the food. The food tasted incredible, but service will hinder our future visits.
