Panera Bread Amarillo Reviews
Ordered through the tablet. Very easy and straightforward. Wished the Value Duet was more visible as that what I originally wanted to order and couldn’t find it. The soup was great, but got cold very fast. Staff is quick, but not put together. Look questionable and unprofessional. Loved the inside. Very spacious, clean, and empty.
I took my 11 year old daughter here, because we were having a girls day, And wanted to try something new to us. I didn't catch the name of the girl who helped us, but she was so sweet. She has purple hair, and such a nice and friendly demeanor. We asked her what was something she would suggest, since we had never been there. She suggested the chicken bacon rancher and Mac and cheese. It was what my daughter ordered and it was delicious 😋. I had gotten some sandwich similar to a Philly and it was really good minus whatever the sweet sauce was on it. With a side of broccoli cheddar soup and omg that was phenomenal. The only thing we didn't really like was the extra bread that you get on the side, it was very hard, and cold in the center. But overall our experience was great, and I can't wait to go back and try more. The atmosphere of the place is so nice and laid back 😌
I've been hesitant to eat here because of the negative reviews, but I love Panera so I tried it today and I'm glad I did! The food was exactly as ordered and tasted great, and the woman at the counter was so friendly. She walked the tables several times making sure everyone was satisfied. I will definitely be back!
I come through all the time for the sips club thing and without fail if Tre is working the drive thru my day is better. He needs a raise. Such a great energy.
Dominic in the front desk is super kind 🙂 she made a fresh brew for us (even though we were the only customer there that time). She made our evening coffee-full ❤️ Don't forget to tell hi to Dominic if you get a chance to visit this cafe.
one of my more disappointing Panera Bread visits. I mean, the food is always going to be good, but this location took forever and my soup was cold. a lot of the tables were dirty. and there were flies everywhere. I guess I just hold Panera to a higher standard 🤷
Food is great. But atmosphere is not what expected. No cashier. Order from kiosk, only 2 of 3 were working. Even though I ordered dine-in, my order was given to me in a bag. I ordered soup in bread bowl, Bread wasn't even wrapped in plastic, just put in paper bag with cup of soup; however, it was precut to add soup easily. Dining room was clean and large, but strange to have no employees around. This place could be great with more employees and change of atmosphere.
The young lady behind the counter was unkempt. Her hair was messy and all over the place, and she was wearing clothes that looked like she rolled out of bed. She was not in a uniform... When ordering, she didn't understand our order and had to re-enter it several times. We wanted to order two pick 2 half sandwiches with soup, and we got 2 full sandwiches of something totally different than what we ordered it was over $50 (not what I was planing on spending) . At this point, we just ate it as we were starving from a long drive. The employee was sweet and soft spoken but seemed immature or young for this responsibility. While we were eating, she walked around us and cleaned . We were the only people in the dining area, and the extra cleaning didn't seem necessary. It made us feel uncomfortable as if we were being rushed out. I would not visit this location again.
Complained to Panera corporate already and got my meal refunded, so good on them, I respect them. But this location is a joke and y'all should know that one of the managers hates kids, do not even attempt to bring your family here. We were not addressed for at least 15 minutes after we initially walked in, had to help ourselves at the self-serve kiosk as the line was backed up, after ordering I stood at the counter for 2-3 minutes waiting for drink cups and gave up. After the 15 minutes, the cashier brought our cookie which unfortunately triggered an EXTREMELY short-lived tantrum from our 3 year old who was tired and hungry, and wanted the cookie- which i understand was disruptive, but it was short and we were ACTIVELY trying to get it under control. We had literally been saying we would take the food to go if she didn't stop. Nonetheless, the cashier was quick to come tell us that her manager thought "the toddler was being a little loud", which felt sudden and unnecessary considering the tantrum lasted maybe 20 seconds. The cashier gets a point for offering a pastry while we waited, but we really just needed our lunch. When we *finally* got our food, I asked for our drink cups, and the cashier didn't address me, but spoke to her manager over the headset to say "they're saying they need cups now.." After I FINNAALLY got our cups, they couldn't figure out the orders and came to our table to ask if we had a salad. I did, the person with me did not. When we said this, they tried to take my salad off my plate and when i stopped her, she said into her headset, without looking or talking to me, AGAIN, "they're saying the salad is theirs." She walked away without apologizing, addressing me directly, literally 0 customer service. We didn't even get an "enjoy", or "have a good day". We were hardly addressed, even when being spoken about right in front of us, and the one out of 3 times we were directly spoken to was to be chastised for a toddler throwing a fit. This manager needs to learn some stress-management and understand how kids work, especially if you're scheduled during lunch hour. I wouldn't be mad if we were just ignoring the tantrum, but how are you going to be rude about it when we were very obviously trying to get her under control? If it wasn't for the $30 in rewards I was given for explaining how unprofessional and uncomfortable i felt the situation was, I would not be back. Please trust me when I say our toddlers were not being disruptive before or after the tantrum, and that the tantrum itself was extremely short, albeit loud, as they are. Whoever owns this location need to teach their staff some serious customer service skills.
Traveling through Amarillo, we were surprised that no one acknowledged us as we came in to the restaurant, we stood around for a bit before realizing we have to order at kiosks. Place was not very clean, restroom not clean at all, 6-7 employees standing around eating and socializing. To their credit the food was not bad and came out fairly quick so that was good. These employees could be doing a much better job, the owner must be losing a lot of money.
Bad service not prepped at all. Had to wait 15 min for them to bring out cream for coffie. Sat waiting. Never would i go to this location
Short in staff and after waiting 15 minutes to order the cashiers were rude so I just left. Don’t need to have my sandwich made with hate.
Don’t stop here …. Walked in and was told by cashier at 8pm that they were only serving soups because they were shutting down the line early. They had no tea, no sodas, only water. Then the kid decided they could make a sandwich. When our sandwich was brought out, I checked it and it had no meat. I’d had enough so I just asked for a refund. The kid acted like he never said anything about shutting down the line when the manager asked the line. Sadly this was my least favorite PB experience and my last at this store.
Went in store to simply buy a dozen beagles....simple... no one at register for 5minutes went over to the pick up window asked if someone would help the young lady said only 2 people working right now... I said forget it and basically taking my money somewhere else.....
Something is wrong with the lady working there. Trinity was not helpful at all and could not understand a single word I said and had to reenter our order several times. It almost seemed like she was intoxicated. And after several times repeating myself as clear as I could she still got the order wrong! Please find somebody else to take orders!
Placed a rapid pickup, took me longer than I thought it would to get there and since I only ordered 1 sandwich I assumed it would be waiting when I got there but no food bags were in the rapid pickup section, the lady at the counter told me rapid pickup would be placed at the counter instead when it was ready so I sat and waited for 10 mins before wondering if an inconsiderate person accidentally took my sandwich without looking at the name before I got there or if even worse someone stole it knowing it wasn't theirs. I got in line and waited at this point I had ordered my sandwich 40 mins prior and been waiting in the store for 15 mins. I explained to the cashier I think someone stole my sandwich, they confirm from my email what I had ordered, went back to check and came Right back out with my bag of food, I'm like wait...it was here the whole time? Cashier explained the guy was new and put it in the wrong spot.... How can everybody else's order make it to the counter then but one bag? And new or not there's a section Labeled rapid pickup so I don't get how they didn't know where to put the bag of food and somehow decided it should be put behind the counter where it can't be seen. I left trying to hold in tears as I'm pregnant and had been looking forward to this sandwich for 40 plus minutes and I'm thinking I should be patient when it was just sitting there the whole time. Then I go to eat it and I don't taste avocado on an Avocado sandwich...i had to Search for it and found 2 of the smallest slices on each side, that's total not even a half an avocado....very disappointed I love avocado that's the whole reason I got this specific sandwich, and it barely had any on it and that's when I burst into tears in my car in the parking lot of the Panera bread
I saw all the negative reviews but still decided to give it a try on our roadtrip. We ordered full size sandwiches substitute bread with bagels, for each full size sandwich, instead of getting 2 bagels we only got 1. Talked with the lady in the kitchen she said that’s how they do it at this location, and that’s the standard. Contacted Panera Bread customer service, the representative confirmed that this is NOT the level of service they strive for. The food taste is okay though, and it is a very nice looking shop, it is super warm inside though, with all the big glass windows…..
This place COULD be great. It SHOULD be great. However, it isn't. I don't blame the staff one bit for this either. Their owners are not paying them. If they aren't being paid and treated fairly, I can not see how they could take pride in their work, ensuring the orders are correct, timely, and as yummy as they should be. Due to their current work conditions, none of the above is being accomplished. Their owners, EYM Group are doing their employees and Amarillo a disservice and should be held accountable. I will return to this location once they have righted their wrongs and have PAID THEIR EMPLOYEES!
The only reason this place is getting 1 star is because zero stars wasn’t an option. We waited through the drive through for about an hour and was dissatisfied and disappointed with the quality of this overpriced food. I ordered an avocado sandwich thinking it would be loaded and tasty from the picture on the menu and what i got back was mostly bread and barely any of what is in the middle of the sandwhich. When i looked through the drive through window, I noticed it was mostly high school kids goofing around and taking their sweet time. The wait time and price i paid was not worth me coming back and giving panera any of my business. Not to mention, my mom ordered a salad and they did not supply us with any utensils or napkins. The service was horrible and the workers acted as if they did not care. This place either needs new workers or needs to be under new management. It was overrated and i was unsatisfied with what i paid for. On positive note, the green goddess dressing is tasty.
For starters the food was 40 minutes late. Then they forgot to add over 1/2 of the order!! The side of bread was just thrown into a bag, not wrapped up at all. I tried to call about the error, twice, and no one would answer the phone. I will say the food we did receive was pretty good. Maybe in 6 months when staff pull their heads out of their *sses, it will be decent.
The other day I did a delivery. It never came. So I called up the store, store was closed. When I got off work today I did a pickup order. I went to the restaurant, wasn't ready. When I asked about it, they lost my order and they had to remake it. 😔 their large soup containers have got to be a small. I'm going to comment with the photo of it. You decide if you think this is a small or large. I was just basing it off of Market Streets large containers and it was $10 for that size. I'm glad I didn't go through the drive-thru, I would have been sitting there holding up the line. I think I'm going to wait until I go back. I understand that it's a new restaurant and there may be some people who's never worked in the food service industry working there. I'll just wait till they get all the kinks out and get a good system going. It's not worth the drive out there for mediocre service and food.
