Took my wife here for Sunday brunch for her first time and she’s upset I didn’t take her sooner. The food was amazing! Seafood is our favorite and they never disappoint. Service was extremely friendly and also attentive to us. Our server Jose Contreras was incredible and made sure my wife’s birthday brunch was perfect. Thank you again Jose and El Torrito! We will be back very soon!
Came here last time with my friend and had a great time. Drinks were delicious. All made by Jose. When I came here again with my friend we were lucky to get Jose again. Atmosphere was fun. Food was delicious. But the drinks were excellent... Again made by Jose.
Recommend El Torito on Ball Rd and State College. Food and service is always top tier! My wife and I have been going to this location for many years and every time we visit we’ve been helped by Jose or Isaias. These two gentlemen always provide exceptional customer service! They are attentive to any and all of our needs. As soon as we are seated they come over to ask what drinks they can start for us, and always make sure our food is delivered in a timely manner. The food is always delivered quickly and is nothing less then delicious! El Torito is an awesome restaurant but what truly makes this location (El Torito on Ball Rd and St College) stand out from all the other locations is Jose and Isaias! Their customer service is unmatched and keeps us coming back!
One of the best priced Mexican food lunch buffets located between the Angels Stadium and Disneyland! Their sports bar is filled with a mixture of locals and tourists (Cancun vibe). El Torito (Anaheim location) servers aim to please. The few server’s are moving fast to get you your orders and cleaning. Their hard work ethics is visible and palpable. A definite 5/5 stars if the management stays on top of cleaning the glass/plastic food partitions at the buffet, food covers to deter those pesky flies and having a few extra flan stocked at the dessert bar (if you come late for the lunch buffet). Came here with a party of 20. We were able to be seated quickly. We all got our food in good time with there being so many of us. The food was amazing. I got the sizzling chicken enchiladas. Since they were sizzling they were hot and delicious!
So we stopped here about 6 pm on Thursday evening and it was not crowded at all. The bar area has more people than the dining area. The restaurant decor is a bit plain but the food and service were good. We ordered shrimp fajitas which came with rice and beans and the shrimp tacos. They give you chips and salsa while you wait which is always a plus.
I'm in town visiting and was looking for something unique and delicious to eat. I saw a few reviews and decided to have a meal at El Torito. I had a Black Diamond Margarita and the Ignited Fajitas Supremas. Everything was great. The presentation, the temp, and the taste were wonderful. My Bartenders were great!
Was early for our reservation, but was still seated in a timely fashion. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Food was a tad slow coming out, but definitely worth the wait. Best Mexican food have had in a while. Definitely glad we came here, and next time we are back in the area will probably be back.
My sister and I went for Taco Tuesday at Happy Hour. $2.99 tacos made fresh. Stella, the lady making the tacos, was nice. Our waitress made the guacamole right at our table. Cheese cake to finish it off.
This place was SO GOOD. Me and the hubby came here after a visit to Disney because we wanted Great food, bug portions but not at the disney price you pay inside the park. We took a gamble on this place because we aren't locals and had a long drive home and risk complications after a meal but I know now this a go to Mexican eatery spot. The food was so fresh, and it came out very quickly. Complimentary chips and Salsa were a super nice touch and they gave us an extra refill on them. The chips were fresh and warm, and the Salsa tasted house made and refreshing, it wasn't to spicy but just the right amount of kick. I ordered the ignited trio fajitas and my awesome waiter literally lit my fajitas on fire in front of us, like how cool(or should I say hot) is that!🔥 They had a wounderful dessert menu with lots of choices, but we were so full we couldn't try them, maybe another time🤤. A little more pricey than a quick service mexican place but highly worth it for the flavorful experience this restaurant gives you. 👌

I love coming here! I love drinking their strawberry virgin margaritas. The food is very delicious and the place is very clean. The bartender is named José, he is very good at making drinks and is a great guy. The vibe is joyful and energetic.
It's like a Mexican Applebee's that has amazing happy hour specials. From 3-7pm every day, it's such a steal for dinner times. It does get busy closer to 7 and our server started being swamped with tables. I'll be coming back a lot more often though. Signature Margs: Get For $6, it's a dirt cheap marg and is quite tasty too. Maybe that's because there's just not much alcohol? Haha who cares I ordered 3 Shrimp Tacos: Get $10 during happy hour and a bit over 3 bucks a taco, it ain't bad. Lots of filling and decently tasty. Queso Dip: Get $4... this happy hour is just too good to be true sometimes! You get a vat of cheese and they give more salsa and chips also too. Highly recommend as a starter for the table unless just plain salsa is good enough. Food: 6/10 Service: 5/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Value: 9/10
The service here has always been good. Friendly and helpful servers and management. The food is still good but I can taste the decline in flavor and the portions seem to have been cut back a bit. I do love the all-you-can-eat lunch and Sunday Brunch but unless you can eat your weight in food, it's kinda expensive. I can't eat much but got the buffet so I could eat a little of everything but that cost me $$$$ for 1 plate of food that would have cost $$ if I'd ordered a combo. I like a bit of everything every once in a while so I'll pay the price for it.
We enjoyed our dinner but the service was slow and several drinks were wrong. They were busy so we understood to some extent. That was not typical in our other visits. The food was good and the taco buffet was a hit. We got the chocolate ice cream cake that was shared… and it was great.
The margarita I had, was completely lacking liquor. I'm not a heavy drinker...maybe a few times a month I will enjoy a drink here and there, so I should be able to feel something. I'm no new comer to having margaritas at El Torito, and I've felt something at all the other places, except this one. I wouldn't doubt if they are skimpy on the liquor, when its happy hour. In other news....I ordered the sizzling combo, which was pretty good and the shrimp were nice and plump.
Great happy hour everyday from 3-9pm for $6 margaritas. The food was quite tasty as well. My only complaint is that my friends and I were there for a catch up over a couple hours and it felt like the waitress was trying to pressure us to leave, even after we had only ordered $80 in food/drinks, she would come over to the table every 15-20min and ask if we needed the check. The place was really lovey other than that though!

Went for Sunday brunch after church so I got there within the last hour. The food was good, some of the meats were a little dry but I did come in a little late. They had many different stations and definitely leave room for desserts

The WORST part of the ordeal was the flies!! If there were this many at our table, how many were in the kitchen!!!? Disgusting. But also, everything else wasn’t good either. The salsa was too spicy for us, especially for our kid, and it was in ALL of the food(even the kid’s menu items we ordered that were too spicy for my kid to even eat to the point that my kid left sad and hungry) except the enchiladas, which were flavorless. The tortillas were beyond tough, and the chips, though hot and crispy, tasted stale. And we were thirsty half the time we were at the table. Waste of money.
