Tip: The cheese boat and baklava are highly recommended. Consider ordering extra, as one reviewer wished they had bought more.

It’s places like this that remind me how wonderful the Arab world is. I feel like I’m walking into a Breakfast spot in Lebanon every time I step in here. I come here every weekend, and order a mix of Cheese and Zaatar Manaeesh, and its so consistently good. I believe the owners are brothers (twins?), and they’re amazing people. I’ve seen them help families, give every tip in the tip jar to the bakers, and laugh/joke with every customer. I go out of my away from LA to drive here, this is the spot. P.S., get sesame seeds on the cheese manoushe.
Food remains great, but the wait is unfathomable. I would order ahead next time for sure. It took one hour for me to get my order. And half of it was wrong. It was delicious still, just not what I had ordered.
This review is long overdue, but it’s one of my favorite spots in OC. I always place a to go order whenever I’m driving back to LA from OC. My favs are the cooked spinach, honey and cheese, and spicy lahmajune. The store is usually busy, so you either gotta call ahead or be patient if you order in store. The staff is very nice and I always dream about the spinach and cheese. 🇵🇸
Cheese boat is the best. Delicious and very soft dough. Also cheese with zaatar. Everything we had was very tasty 😋 and the portion is good for 2. For sure coming back soon.
I had been looking forward to this place for a long time. When I finally got the opportunity to try them out I was beyond impressed. The interior design of the restaurant transports the diner to another place far from California. I felt like I was in Lebanon and the family friendly atmosphere was very comforting. I really enjoyed the Pistachio icecream and I look forward to trying other items on the menu. If you are in the area please give this place a try, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Lovely Lebanese mom and pop shop in little Arabia. Loved the authentic flavors, the kind service (the owner is a gem) and the sense of community walking in. Be prepared to wait a bit for fresh flatbread, cheese boats and other essentials as it is made fresh and hot from their oven.
Excellent service, excellent food, it's my first time visiting this place but it won't be the last. I got the manaeesh cheese with egg and zatar with cheese just delish 👍
Amazing, tasty, and very delicious Manaeesh you can never go wrong getting your breakfast from here!!
I feel so lucky to have experience the joy and hospitality of eating here. Everything was perfect. Highly suggest getting several minis and trying a bit of everything. The zatar is a must and don’t forget room for dessert. Oh and definitely get a cup of the mint tea!
Spectacular taste and service. Very generous. Worth a try. I rephrase, no only worth a try. It is a MUST TRY. You can't go wrong with any item on the menu. Their veggie pizza is outside this world especially if you like stuffing to be generous. Their sfeeha baalbakeye , zaatar, and cheese are extraordinary. Oh and their kefta manaeesh is good too. Did i also mention their spinach fatayer ? Heavennnnn.
I had the most delightful breakfast at this bakery, and I can’t recommend it enough! I ordered a variety of items: zaatar and cheese, egg and cheese, sojjuk and cheese, Labneh, and safiha lahmeh. Every single dish was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with such high-quality ingredients. You can really taste the care that goes into the food. What truly made this experience special was the owner of the bakery. He is such a kind and generous person! He offered us tea and sweets, creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. He kept calling me “amo,” which means uncle in Arabic a heartfelt term of connection and respect and made us feel like home. We drive an hour and 30 minutes just to eat at this bakery, and it’s absolutely worth it every time! The environment of the restaurant is lovely and inviting, embodying the best of Arab hospitality. If you’re looking for delicious food and an authentic, welcoming experience, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back!
This place is a bakery, i ordered a chicken pizza here which was so awesome and delicious, i went back for another one. They apprciate if you order ahead for takeouts, also they have dine in options, please check the menu pictures I've uploaded. Worth all your $ for a bakery in Anaheim

Was greeted warmly and provided guidance on menu items. The suggestions hit the spot and wasn't made to feel silly for not knowing the offered items. The chef presented his warm masterpieces with a small plate of delectable olives and pickles. The herbs, red onion & spinach flatbread was savory, filling and an experience for the senses. An array of fruit sodas & sparkling juices balanced the rich tastes of our main dishes. The cheese boat was soft, cushiony, cheesy and balanced with flavor. So glad we found this gem. Affordable, welcoming and chill atmosphere.
The food here is so delicious and the service is typical Arab hospitality. Worth the drive every time!
Weekends can get busy and the wait might be a bit longer, but it’s absolutely worth it. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly.
First time here from NYC. Just left this place, I don’t know from where to start… Moustafa (gentleman behind the counter) knows everything about costumer service to the point where it feels like being a guest in his own house. He makes you feel super comfortable when you walk in, ask all the questions without getting irritated, advice you the fan favorite and even gave me extra stuff on the side (really appreciate and heartwarming). Let’s talk food! I had many Za’ata pies and I’m very very picky and definitely these didn’t let me down. I got mini version because I was by myself and wanted to try more things: Za’ata, Cheese with Za’ata, Lahem Bal Ajeen, Cheese boat (with parsley by Moustafa’s recommendation and the one that came out, surprisingly, to be my favorite Spinach Fatayer. For dessert unfortunately no Kanafeh because I got there late so I tried Mamol with pistacchio, if you’re a pistacchio lover definitely try it! I hope to be back in LA just to come back here!
I’m so glad that I took my Family to this little corner. We ordered several small traditional flatbreads but we came nowhere close to trying them all. You probably need to come here a dozen times to try everything. Zatar, safiha and all that was great. Their pastries were so good we got 3 boxes of them to go.
We went on a late weekday afternoon/early evening. The storefront was empty, and we weren’t sure if they were closed or not. Once we walked in though, we were greeted by a friendly employee and placed our order of three manaeesh: zaatar, cheese with zaatar, and lahem bel ajeen (plus a Vimto soda). The three manaeesh were delicious and the price was fair. Our favorite was probably the lahem bel ajeen, but they were all great. Included was a nice bowl of pickles, olives, and lemon wedges. This place shouldn’t be empty!
Very delicious food, I love it i come here very often for the manaeesh, fatayer and spinach pies.
I've brought different friends and family here, there's something for everyone. Family owned; the owners provide a welcoming atmosphere, inclusive, kind & friendly people. We loved the manaeesh with zatar & cheese, so we took home a dozen minis! Great combo for someone new to try. Spinach fatayer is delicious, great flavor. The pizzas are top heavy, thin crust, and soooo much cheese!! We tried the chicken and the veggie (pic attached). Bring your appetite. We will definitely be back.
the best cheese, zaatar , kafta with cheese in the entire US literally every single item is beyond delicious, and will truly remind you back home in the Middle East and a special thanks to Nader who is extremely friendly, welcoming, and always hooks me up beam going here since seven years always hits the spot
Great flat bread variety, matter of fact the best in LA & OC. Their thin proprietary dough is the best liteset you'll ever find along the cost. However, they get so busy early weekends and expect +30m for a regular order. I wish they can do better on their phone orders/service. Also, they are always short staffed.
Really friendly staff and they helped us decide what to order for our group. I liked everything we tried and had plenty of food to share and even take home all at a great bargen price. I love that they have vegetarian options that the other people in my group still enjoyed. Will defiantly come back.
Just discovered this place by delivering some food from Grubhub. I checked it out with my friends and ordered their zatar, veggie flatbread, mini cheese boat, and baklava. The owner was so nice- he gave us a free box of desserts and one free yogurt veggie flatbread. I definitely spread the word via social media and on Discord for my classmates. 20/10!! Zatar was herby and flavorful. Cheese boat was so good- with fresh mozzarella. Makes me realize American pizza is not good for your stomach at all and if you want authenticity and healthy foods, go to Forn Al Hara. Vegan and vegetarian friendly!!
The food is delicious, fresh, and very low priced. It’s truly a hidden gem, which is why we always come. All their products are freshly baked. Highly recommend for tourists or those wanting to explore other cultures and food.
Very few restaurants get better and better over the years,, let alone the 2 decades I've been coming here. Amazing
Don't think twice, just come here and try this place. It is really good !! The food is delicious and made with great care. The people are really nice. Try to call and make your order ahead of time if you are in a hurry. Enjoy!
It is an amazing place, you can find multi kind of fatayeer and manakeesh, they have the big size and regular mini size, which is great to try multi kinds at same time. The only thing I didn't like was that they took a long time to finish the orders, because they backed them fresh order by order.
WOW! WOW! WOW! This Lebanese restaurant/bakery opens at 8 am for early risers located in Little Arabia. *For newbies, pay attention to how you ENTER and EXIT the car park. As you enter Forn Al Hara establishment the aroma of flat breads in the pizza oven sweeps over you as you’re greeted by the owner with a huge smile. I knew immediately that whatever was cooking/baking it was gonna be delicious. Tbh, all I wanted was baklava and coffee but was introduced to Arabic tea with FRESH mint and cheese kunefe right out of the oven with pistachios and honey. OH M GEE! As I’m thinking to myself, why stop now… I ordered the cheese pastry/pie. Killed it! I was impressed with the kindness the owner exhibited and how the “regular”customer’s help me order. After I finished my breakfast, my taste buds were still firing so to keep it going I walked away with an assortment of baklava and other pastries to share with family and friends. THANK YOU Forn Al Hara, team, and regular customers for an incredible eating experience 🫶🏼
This place is a must try! The owner is so sweet and everything is so delicious! Everything was baked fresh out of their stone oven, the kitchen was open and clean and everything was gourmet! It tastes just like back home! We tried the cheese boat with zaatar and they were delicious but the labaneh, zaatar and veggie wraps stole the show. Even their pickles and olives are great! I would definitely stop in and give this place a try! If you are in a hurry, I’d definitely call 30 minutes ahead of time to avoid the wait! 10/10 recommend!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but their food SLAPSSSS. Make sure to try everything cuz it’s guaranteed amazing. Personally I love the cheese and honey flatbread, chicken wrap, and spicy sujuk wrap
THAT WAS SOMETHING HEAVENLY!!!! The food was genuinely delicious. The service was very good. And the atmosphere really takes arabs back home. Me, my wife and my daughter had four manaesh. One with sausage and cheese, one with cheese and labnah, one wtih labnah and zatar, and one with beef and cheese. We also had tea with milk. We were pretty much full and there was leftover that we took to go.
This place is an absolutely Gem! The pricing is fantastic, the older gentleman at the front was so funny and kind, and the food tasted amazing! We didn't know what to get, so the older gentleman taking our order recommended a dish, and then we placed it. Once we sat down and ate it, it was so good!!! Definitely 'feel good' food.
Went on Saturday night for dinner before a movie and the falafel and veggie flat was delicious. Really great place, definitely would eat there again.
I usually rarely leave reviews, but this place truly deserves one. I loved the food, the atmosphere, and how kind and welcoming the staff were. For sure will come back and be in the area
I love the food from Forn Alhara. I have been eating their Zataar & Cheese Manaeesh & Spinach Fatayer for about 7 years. A dear friend of mine introduced me to them. I also love coming here after my visit to Anaheim on Disney Days. After a day of amusement park food it’s so nice to sit down here in this restaurant and eat amazing, yummy, wholesome food with great company. The service never disappoints. I always feel like I’m taken care of when I come in. It feels as if they treat everyone who comes in as family. Which is so rare these days. 10/10 Recommend
I went with a friend who lives locally in the area. He raved about it and it didn’t disappoint. We had a sampling of the veggie, beef and lamb flatbreads as well as a couple of desserts and it was worth the wait. The owner is the most kind man and does a lot of the baking(putting in the stone oven) himself. We also tried the mint yogurt milk drink and it was like a savory salt lassi. Get there earlier if you don’t want to wait in a long line.
Great flatbreads. Muhamara was excellent and free tea and olives was a big plus. Service was great too highly recommend!
Utterly delicious. Unique and tasty flavors for a fair price. The owner was kind and genuinely interested in us trying the wonderful flavors from his menu. I would go again in a heartbeat. The cheese boats were our favorite the Zatar was also awesome. Definitely try a few small ones and then go big with a large one! So good!
This restaurant is an absolute gem! I'm so glad I found this place. I had their manaqeesh and it was a revelation. It was so fresh, with the perfect balance of flavors. The dough was soft and fluffy, and the toppings were incredibly delicious. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients. The manaqeesh was also perfectly cooked, with a nice golden-brown crust. The food is delicious and the service is great. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items!
Forn Al Hara has been a delightful experience. The fusion of cheese, meat, za’atar and sujuk in their pies creates a harmonious blend of flavors that tantalize the taste buds and send me back to Egypt. The crust is flaky, and the fillings are generously packed, offering a satisfying combination of textures. The unique selection of savory pies distinguishes this place, making it a savory haven for those craving a Mediterranean style pies.
I think the last time I went to this location, it had previously been a shawarma focused restaurant. I don't know when it changed to the pastry restaurant it is now, but it's incredible! I ordered the cheese and spinach flatbread with a spinach cooked, as well as mamol with pistachios 1 lb. Was not disappointed at all! The prices are excellent, the food and the service are wonderful, and it's a fantastic place to just sit down and get some paperwork done and clear your mind.
My go to place for manaesh in Southern California. Owner is welcoming and a pleasure to chat with, he's been doing this for almost 30 years and has this down to perfection. Food is priced cheap as hell which means I order more and tip more because this place is worth it. Especially when I'm away from home, having a place that reminds me of my Muslim and Palestinian roots is a joy to experience. Been coming here years alone and with my family, can't wait to go back again next time I'm in LA
The food here is absolutely perfect! I ordered three pies — sausage, cheese, and thyme — and they were all delicious. The service was excellent too; the staff are friendly and the food comes out really fast. I also loved their tea with mint — it’s a must-try! The only thing I’d suggest is improving the atmosphere a bit. The AC could work better, and adding some decoration would make the place even more inviting. Overall, a great experience and I’ll definitely come back again.
Forn Al Hara’s lahm bel ajen is absolutely amazing; perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of flavor in every bite. What really took it to the next level was the pickles. That extra tangy crunch paired so well with the meat that I couldn’t stop enjoying the combo. Simple, satisfying, and seriously delicious. Definitely something I’ll be coming back for. 😋
This is long overdue and it is where it has all started. I used to make special trips decades ago, specifically to visit this place from NorCal. This is where all the middle eastern/Arab plazas started (at least in my head). I miss the Olive Tree for sure, can't believe Covid killed it. The most wonderful and genuine owners I have ever met. They have treated me with the at most respect every time, offering extra treats and just all smiles and such amazing beautiful souls to cross path with. Their food and sweets is authentic and delicious. Their prices are most definitely on the inexpensive side. You can't have enough of this place. It's litetally an Anahiem historic landmark at this point but I am sure that I am very baised!
We Come here every time we are visiting family in so cal. There is an always a line and they accommodate us. This place reflects Lebanese hospitality, friendliness , delicious and freshly baked food and generosity. Thumbs up guys
First time trying manaeesh and it didn’t disappoint. Super flavorful and rich. The meats had a high level of seasoning and the bread was excellent with a nice crunch and a touch of char. It can start to get a bit overpowering after a bit if you don’t have opposing flavors to mix in. I’d recommend a sampler of a few of the mini selections.
I love their food but there is a logistic issue . Better planning is needed to ensure better and faster outcomes . The owners was great but overwhelmed . I will always be a repeat customer but there needs to be improvement in the flow of service
Food is incredible but sadly service is mediocre. The business does very well based on food quality but has much greater potential with a little more customer friendliness
The sojok and cheese was too thin and too oily, was not what I expected. The zaatar and cheese pie was too oily and the cheese was watery. Not bad if you are craving manaesh but was not the best. Cool atmosphere and quick and nice service.
I was disappointed of my visit yesterday. This place used to be so popular among Arabs a few years back. (I took 1 year Arabic so have many friends who are from Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Syria ,etc.) went yesterday and it’s mostly running by Spanish speaking workers. The owner might still be an Arab but I didn’t hear people speak Arabic. So just a heads up for other people who wants to go to this place. The pastry doesn’t look fresh. I was craving for Kunafeh so I walked out and went somewhere else.
The food isn’t bad, I’d give it 3 stars for taste. But the service was very disappointing. We waited over 50 minutes just for six manakish, which is far too long for such a simple order. There were only two tables, ours and one other, so if the place were crowded, I can’t imagine how long it would take… maybe a whole month! On top of that, they’re extremely cheap with the sides. We were given just a tiny piece of lemon and barely any vegetables, even though our order included both meat and zaatar manakish. It felt stingy and unwelcoming. Honestly, the food looks better than it actually is.
The place is cheap and cheerful, but they really need to get their act together while serving customers. Was told to wait 10 minutes and still not received my food 40 minutes later. Only one customer besides us, and as I count, they have 6 staff working. Do not come here if you want to be served a sandwich within one hour.
Not even 1 star Visiting from canada Waited more than 30 min for our food Gave us the wrong order Very dirty tables , washroom , floor Not tasty at all Zero customer service Not recommended at all Sfe7a does not look nor taste like sfe7a And lahm ajeen is all tomato and little bit meat
I placed my order over the phone before leaving on purpose for it to be ready just for me to pick it up. When I arrived, it still wasn’t ready. I ended up waiting 30 extra minutes. Even after the order was prepared and set aside, no one notified me, there’s no number system or way to track whose order is ready. To make matters worse, one of the items was the wrong flavor. It was too late to wait another 30 minutes for a correction. I had to leave it as is. It’s disappointing, especially since this isn’t the first time. The food is good, but the management is 0.
I put in an order to go and only got half my order. I paid $97 and only got half of what I asked for. Only to find out when I got home an hour away. Never coming back here again. Also tried to call them but no one answered.
Only order from this restaurant if you have a desire to waste your entire day waiting for an order that will never come. It’s been 2 days and I’m still over here waiting for my order. And the guy working the ovens was a weirdo…
The food at this restaurant was tasty and flavorful, but unfortunately the hygiene was very disappointing. I saw the staff using a floor mop to clean the inside of the oven, which is very unusual and unhygienic. Also, the man taking the pies out of the oven wiped his sweat with his hand and continued cutting the pies without washing. This was unpleasant to watch and made me lose trust in their cleanliness. The taste was good, but I would not come back because of the poor hygiene.
If I can give no stars I would, we waited 45 min and we did not even order yet. Looking at the crowd sitting and waiting for the food they ordered, multple bigger groups got up and left even after they paid. I heard the food was good but the wait was unbearable, unfortunately I will never go back.
I was visiting California from Michigan and had several friends recommend Forn Al Hara in Anaheim, so I decided to give it a try with my wife and kids. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I placed my order (#90) and waited over an hour with no food. I went back to the register and spoke to the same person who took my order. He asked the staff and they told him they are already on order #97. I saw many people order, eat, and leave while we were sitting on the table! We waited another 30 minutes, and still nothing arrived. When my wife politely followed up with the same person, he responded by giggling and making a silly joke, which felt unprofessional given how long we had already been waiting especially with kids. At that point, I decided not to wait any longer. I told him I no longer wanted the food and took my family to our favorite spot in Anaheim, Koftegi (formerly known as Furn Al Sanabel), where we had our food on the table in about 15 minutes. To be fair, Forn Al Hara did issue a full refund, which I appreciate, they could have chosen not to. However, between the excessive wait time and the way the situation was handled, this visit was a letdown, especially after the recommendations. I hope they improve their order management and customer service, because the experience did not match the expectations.
