I had my reservations due to the price tag, but this place far exceeded my expectations. I got the fried chicken sandwich (though I subbed the spicy aoli for a chimichurri aoli instead), and my husband got the short rib lasagna. If my chicken sandwich was amazing, then his lasagna was nothing short of spectacular. Super cheesy with a good amount of meat, as well. We also got a couple of the non alcoholic drinks, I got the Paradisi Patch and my husband got the Peach medows, both of which were also amazing. All in all we were very satisfied with our meal, and highly recommend this restaurant - just be mindful that it is pricey!

Another great restaurant in the Grand Californian Hotel. My only regret is that it took us 6 or 7 trips staying at the Grand Californian Hotel to finally try it. I had flaky buttermilk buttered chicken sandwich. The chicken was large, juicy, well-seasoned and very crispy. The Canadian bacon and cheese were excellent compliments to the flavor of the chicken. While I loved the sandwich I would probably try something else on my next trip just to see what other great options they might have. My wife and eldest daughter each got the Parmesan-crusted grilled cheese sandwich. I didn’t try it, but they both stated it was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches they’ve had. It uses the same type of cheese and Canadian bacon that was in my sandwich, so I can imagine it was very tasty. My youngest daughter ordered the pepperoni pizza and was generous enough to let my have a piece. The crust was airy and crispy. The pepperoni tasted high quality. Overall, a very good slice of pizza. While the restaurant doesn’t really cater to young kids (no kids menu that I’m aware of), the presence of a pepperoni pizza option gives them a nice kid friendly option. We will definitely be having several meals here during our next Disneyland trip.

Our experience with this restaurant was fantastic. Service was great. Food was delicious; and dessert was also good but huge! Definitely plan to share dessert with several people :)

Great cocktail menu and highly recommend the pizzas. They have great flavor and a great crust. They are really meant for individuals unless you are not hungry as they are fairly small if you were to share atmosphere is definitely more upscale feeling than most of the restaurants in the hotel, but it’s a great place for adults to have dinner And enjoy a nice cocktail. You definitely will pay premium prices for it though.

Our bartender Jessica was lovely! We had a special old fashioned from the menu with a smoke (special pride too) & the golden rush hour, both great.

We had a wonderful time here! The food was delicious! I ordered the chicken tenders which came with very yummy honey mustard dip AND a really fun and yummy truffle mayo. The fries seemed malted and were sooooo good! My bf loved his sandwich too. Our drinks were lovely, tasty, and did not skimp on the booze! The decor is so beautiful in the craftsman style. I also loved that my blackberry bramble drink was called the Gamble Bramble, a nod to the famous craftsman house (doc brown’s house) in Pasadena. We came for lunch on a Saturday and had no trouble finding a table (you can seat yourself). Our server Alex was very sweet and attentive without hovering. We would love to come back. It’s a very slept on and great place to eat at the resort.

Hearthstone Lounge was our 1st stop on our Disneyland vacation - the bartenders are true mixologists with playful banter to boot. Our drink were delicious and the warm ambiance of the lounge was very inviting.

Another great visit today at Hearthstone Lounge! Great customer service from the two that were working. 8.26.25. Good drinks. Regular Old Fashioned $21. I'll try the specialty one for $35 next time. The only negative is that they open so late. 4pm. A hotel bar should be open all day, especially for dads/moms who want to escape the hectic parks.

First time visiting to celebrate a friendship, and wow! I'm so glad we went. It was a late dinner reservation, and vibes were top-notch👌. The food was INCREDIBLE, and our server was fantastic. Prices were worth our experience, and I highly recommend this place. Really want to try their brunch menu next time. They have a huge whiskey library if that's your thing!

This place is a MUST if you are at the Disneyland resort- favorite place to relax for an early dinner and amazing cocktails before hitting the parks for the evening! Love the hearthstone burger and pizza! Have tried several cocktails and they’re all amazing !

Chorizo poutine was delicious as well as the citrus-habenero wings. Received a portion far bigger than expected. They even had themed Star Wars drinks. Setting was relaxing and a great getaway from the crowd. Also, Jeremy is a great bartender.

Another great bar located just outside DCA and Disneyland. Things are picking back up so it was quite busy but we were lucky enough to get a seat Saturday night. Vodka Martini was tasty and even though it was a single my mom said the vodka club soda was mighty strong (she said the bartender did not have a light handed pour). The avocado burrata toast was light and tasty, the pomegranate drizzle sounded strange at first but gave the toast a nice tart twist. Fries were seasoned and double fried and my hubby said they were tasty. The pepperoni pizza was nice, crispy light crust with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The pepperoni had a good kick but not too spicy. I really great service, especially for as crowded as it was, and great late night food and drink!

In reading some of these reviews, it sounds like a lot of them went during peak time or during the holidays. It's sad to see that people would base their entire experience because they decided to go on a Saturday during Christmas time like everybody else in Southern California. I've been to Disneyland when they've closed their gates due to capacity limits TWICE. Yes, it was a very terrible time to go and yes it was crowded and all cast members seemed irritated but who wouldn't? This lounge is amazing. The bartenders are friendly IF YOU ARE FRIENDLY and not rude. I recommend when reading people's reviews is to understand the context of their review and understand that if their issue was not an isolated issue that their review is probably without merit. One last thing, order an Old Fashioned! My girlfriend and I come here every New Year's Eve, mind you this is another busy time of the year for Disneyland, AND WE STILL HAVE A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.

Nice comfy bar/lounge to have a drink or a bite to eat. My wife, brother-in-law, and I stopped in for some drinks and dessert around 9 at night. There were a good handful of other patrons but the place was quiet and cozy. The drinks, both alcoholic and not, were very good. We each had one of the desserts, and neither of us were disappointed. I had the cheesecake, and it was delicious. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and we had a pleasant time. Recommend for anyone looking for a easy going dining experience.

I had a really really enjoyable experience here this evening. I dined across the street, but wanted dessert on resort property. I had the peach cheesecake. The presentation was phenomenal. What is great about Hearthstone Lounge, it feels like a private living room. You have fireplaces, big comfy chairs and coffee tables. If I was recommending a top ten list of restaurants in the Disneyland Resort, this is top three. The only negative, service is a tad slow for few tables sat. Server was friendly, she knew the menu, but wasn't checking on me enough. Service aside, this is an A + performance.

I have been coming to this bar/restaurant for about 20 years at least and it never fails to amaze me. Wonderful staff, great drinks and always chill. And excellent food. The NY is always delicious but pizza, everything is great. Today I had Seffy as my bartender and I believe Jenny and she made the most delicious Empress Gin/lavender/limoncello cocktail ever. 10 out of 5 stars!!!! Excellent

Great sit down restaurant. We did a parents Disney trip and this was a great dinner to celebrate the kids staying home. We tried the charcuterie plate, lasagna and had some great drinks. The service was excellent and I certainly see myself heading back there.

Love dining here. The dining area is big enough to seat a pretty good amount of people, however is small enough to still be low key. We went there for dinner. I had the Blackberry Bramble (alcohol) to drink. It was a good drink. I wish it came in a larger glass as it is a small drink, but it was strong, so that’s a good trade off. For dinner I had the Flaky Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich. It was a good sandwich. The chicken was very soft and moist. I’d order it again.

I want to thank Nick, who I believe was the manager there for the restaurant. The rain cancelled our reservation at another bar there, but he helped us get to the lounge. It was an amazing experience with such amazing food! The staff was so kind and they even brought our 1 year old a cupcake for his birthday! Please take time out of your Disney visit and enjoy this beautiful place!

You are tired. You’ve been at Disneyland/California Adventure since opening at 8AM. It’s 5PM and you need a drink and want to sit down. When Carthay Circle & Lamplight won’t seat you right away and the wait is too long…THIS IS THE PLACE. I love it here! The cocktails are 🧑‍🍳💋. Cheese & charcuterie hit the spot. Do it.

We stayed at Disney's Grand Californian hotel and dinner reservations for any of the nights because reservations that when we called the hotel to ask they said they also had lounge didn't take reservations. We ended up eating there two of our three nights and we were thrilled with it. Our favorite was the Parmesan crusted grilled cheese, the charcuterie pizza, the garlic dough bites, the Wagyu burger. My husband loved that they had a whiskey library and tried some of their fun craft cocktails and I enjoyed wine from their wine menu. I would say it's not super friendly for kids and on the expensive side but when you're staying at the hotel you kind of expect that. So if you forget to make plans and you want a quick bite and you're staying at the hotel, you can't beat the Hearthstone lounge. We had great service and one of the nights they said us in these cozy little chairs in a corner it was so cute! They brought out a birthday cupcake for my husband too.

We visited this restaurant during our visit to Disney on 01/31 and we had dinner and drinks here. We were kindly greeted and sat down within a short wait. We ordered the chicken tenders, pizza two espresso martinis and the Chicago whistle. The chicken tenders and pizza were good! The espresso martini had good taste and we think they used Mr. black which we know is legit. The Chicago whistle had a spicy taste to it as it should with rye whiskey. Would come back again and try other dishes and cocktails.

Our visit started off a little rough, but after speaking to the manager he was very friendly and apologetic. Our server, Diego, ended up taking really good care of us. And to our surprise our meal was comped which we did not expect at all but were really appreciative of it.

I don’t know where to begin: we’re not even staying at this beautiful resort. Due to the service we received, I will be booking the Grand California Resort for all future stays. We walked in and the most adorable hostess (Liz) immediately and with a big smile welcomed us. She sat us in the most cozy, warm chairs/table in the house- I’m convinced we had the best seats in the house. It’s been a cold rainy day- the same hostess came over and offered us a warm blanket, all tucked in. Live music played in the background to tie in the incredible atmosphere. We were celebrating my mother’s bday, they noticed that her button from the park was missing and proceeded to bring us a new, improved and even better one than before (handmade by Chelsea)!!!!! We took the server’s (Tammy, training and such a sweet server) suggestion, and ordered delicious drinks. We had a little hiccup with the food- no biggie, fixed and made right and it was delicious. GREAT EMPLOYEES!!!! I own restaurants and bars, I would be so proud to have them on my staff.

I've had some great nights at the Hearthstone Lounge. It's a smaller place, and that's part of the charm. There are a couple quiet nooks for conversation, and plenty of comfortable seating for groups. My preference is to sit at the bar. The service is excellent, the selection is good, and the decor cannot be beat. It's a great place for a drink.

The Hearthstone is a cozy and elegant bar and lounge located on the 1st floor of the majestic and luxurious Arts and Crafts style Grand Californian Hotel. It features dark wood paneling contrasting against cream colored walls and black Mickey Mouse themed light fixtures, comfortable booth and table seating, friendly service, and seating by a warm fireplace in the evenings. It's a relaxing and comfortable place to hang out in, eat, drink, and soak up the inviting atmosphere.

I've wanted to try this place for a while now, and it's always so crowded. The decorations are so warm and inviting. It gives you a cozy feeling. The people that work there are so nice, they take the time to explain what they have to offer. Regardless of the line or wait behind you. This time, I decided to order to go and ordered one of everything for dessert. They were able to make any custom drink you're craving. I really wanted the chocolate molten lava cake, but it was no longer available. We had: 1. Chocolate cheesecake - This was so decadent but satisfying. 2. Cookie butter crème brûlée - I always have a weak spot for crème brûlée. This does not disappoint. The cookies on top were crisp and not stale. 3. Warm apple tart - By the time we got up to the room, the ice cream had melted a little but still so tasty. I had ordered a drink, to be honest I'm not sure what it was called. They make whatever you're in the mood for. I know my drink had a fall type of feel and it had apples. It was tasty. I highly recommend all the desserts. I can't wait to come back and try the appetizers and food they have.

Wow, what a find after a long day at the parks! The Hearthstone Lounge at the Grand Californian was an absolute oasis for our group of ten weary travelers. From the moment we arrived, the hostess was incredibly welcoming and managed to seat our large party in what felt like no time at all – a true Disney miracle! We settled in and enjoyed delicious appetizers and expertly crafted cocktails for hours, completely unwinding in the lounge's gorgeous ambiance. Knowing that all the stunning woodwork comes from a single California redwood tree just adds to the sense of quality and care that permeates every detail here. Everything at the Hearthstone Lounge exudes excellence. It was the perfect ending to our Disney day, and we can't wait to return. Five stars all the way!

A wonderful replication of the wilderness lodge in Disney World! Great routine, and if you are lucky you will get couch seating. Drunks range from 13.00 to 2200.00 (amazing bourban).

We have never been to the Hearthstone before and were so impressed with our first experience last night that we truly regret over looking it before now. First of all, it's a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous bar. The ambiance is Yosemite Lodge elegant and welcoming without being pretentious. The cocktails were thoughtful and skillfully executed. The wine offerings are everything you could want in a California forward list. And, most importantly, the food was plentiful, delicious, and surprising. There were little touches in each dish that show the chefs have been encouraged to bring a playful yet serious attitude to their menu. We will be back, and soon!

This restaurant has changed over the years. The prices have gone up, and we chose two personal pizzas to share as it was the most economical, including drinks. We were here in 2021 and we're able to share a big pizza, but that's no longer an option. We will not be returning in the future. The server was wonderful and the decor is quite charming. We still had to wait a while beyond our reservation time.

For a later dinner, this was a nice spot to grab some food that wasn't in the parks or Downtown Disney. Service was great and I love how chill the vibes were. The food was tasty but for almost $40, it definitely could've been better. Cheese wasn't as melted and felt a bit lukewarm.

C
Chaz Rich

Cool atmosphere and the margarita pizza was good. The chicken sandwich was sad; the smallest piece of chicken for $26! The fries were cold and worse than In n Out. C’mon now! The server was good though. He brought my wife a cupcake for her birthday!

Food, service, atmosphere were all fantastic. The kitchen repeatedly messed our whole tables order up but the staff was extremely accommodating and even comped all of our food which was completely unnecessary but very much appreciated. We would definitely come back here again and very much recommend this restaurant.

Nice place to relax. I tried two very tasty cocktails, the Paloma and the Smoked Turkey. I also had the Mushroom Impossible Pizza, which was surprisingly delicious (more gourmet than I expected). The service was friendly and the environment was beautiful.

We got to see the characters a few times as they made their rounds for breakfast. The food was above average for a buffet although the price was as well (just above $100 for three). The fruit was very good the scrambled eggs and chilaquiles mediocre but the pancakes and waffles were decent. Just play along with the characters stay positive and you'll have a good time!

This is a nice casual sit down in the Grand California hotel. When we arrived, we could be seated immediately outside or wait 45 minutes for an indoor table. We chose outside, which must have been outside our servers normal area as we would go long periods of time without seeing our server while a couple servers from other tables were walking back and forth very frequently. Overall, the food was great and everyone was friendly and helpful.

D

Found two seats at the bar and enjoyed the bourbon flight and the chicken quesadilla! Both were delicious! I liked the crispy cheese on the outside of the quesadilla and the Knob Creek Disney exclusive bourbon is soo good! Service was prompt and attentive as you’d expect.

I had breakfast here today and it was really good. I got the brioche French toast with berries. They were a little slow preparing the food and the atmosphere is not the best in the world, but the food was really good.

Let me start by saying I'm a Disney adult. Love the feel of Disney (in California). I've wanted to try this place for a while. Overall it was pretty good. What I'd say is this...pass in the margarita pizza and just order the garlic knots. Cheaper, a lot more food...same great taste. Hopefully this review doesn't change the price. Pizza $21 small garlic knots $16 very fulfilling. Enjoy (I took the picks half way into eating everything LOL)

c

I very much enjoyed the risotto I ordered, the mushrooms were incredible. The atmosphere was a bit louder than I was in the mood for due to the patrons at the bar but that's the risk of eating at Disneyland. Would absolutely return to try more of the menu. The staff was attentive and friendly. I will say when I have a reservation at a specific time, I expect to be seated at that time. I don't want to wait 15 minutes for the restaurant to prepare a table when this should be a well established behavior.

J

We really enjoyed the feel of this bar inside the hotel and it was suggested for a place to grab a drink. They offer a variety of magical Disney style cocktails that we enjoyed. However service was not on par with most Disney style restaurants and the service was slow. Took forever to order our drinks and get the check after asking twice. Otherwise it’s a great spot for friends, drinks, and hangout after a long day.

N
Nicky B

Overall, this is a nice restaurant with plenty of choices. As with anything in Disney, it can be expensive to eat here. Service is nothing special, but the bar opens at 4 pm.

M
MstrChamberlain5

I did not realize that both the Hearthstone and Craftsman Grill share a kitchen outside both of those restaurants. The food is delivered to the restaurant “room service” style on a cart with a dome. The food was lukewarm, fries cold. The staff was very helpful making it right but be warned. We both ordered the burger and agreed it was average. Definitely won’t be adding Hearthstone to our list next visit.

J
John Ritchie

I came in for a bite and a beer with my family. It was pretty slow and there were lots of employees wandering around. Getting seated was really hard for the hostess. We felt invisible for the first 15 mins once we were seated. Finally someone acknowledged us. For being so slow, the beer took forever to get to our table. Not a pleasant experience. I will say the pizza was really good though. Definitely won't be back. Too bad I'm staying at the hotel for three nights. At least there are other restaurants.

E
Eric Berg

Cheese board, burger, and grilled cheese (ham and cheese really) were perfect, but a long wait for food, coupled with a $22 app of cold chicken tenders that came out of a freezer bag was very the opposite end of the scale for how high end this establishment is.

J
Jen Stokes

Quite surprised this was a lounge not a restaurant as when booked thru Disney app wasn’t listed as such. Service was poor. No water, very slow to come back and while they took a great list of my allergies at the check in, the server seemed to completely ignore that. Menu had no listing of gf, etc at all. I had to ask and server seemed very unknowledgeable and nonchalant about a severe allergy. Very loud atmosphere with little kids at nearby tables. Echos in the very tall room.

K
Kira Kaefer

This is a nice spot to stop and take a break from the parks. Be aware it is quite expensive. The food was delicious and the drinks were well-made but the service was atrocious. I could almost understand if the bar was full but it was empty when I was there. I had to ask more than once for my drink order. The food took more than 45 minutes even though I ordered A fruit plate and a cheese and meat plate. I don’t feel like it was up to Disney standards.

J
Jolanta Marlena

Stayed at the hotel and come one night at 11:20pm to do a bit of work on my computer. The bar was full but I was one of the only two tables occupied. I didn’t get served for a long time, one sever (not mine) tried very hard to not make eye contact with me and there were two or three people always gathered at the hostess stand who I had to call over anytime I needed attention. I ordered a sandwich which came with cold fries, again, it took a while to get someone’s attention to the matter and a long time to get them replaced. I still paid full price for the meal, which included a $26 glass of wine (which was very good) but the price and service, the value was low.

The food is great, we had the french onion soup, sea bass and cobb salad and all were perfect. The pricing was generally what you'd expect for Disneyland, but the wine pricing felt egregious. The cheapest glass comes in higher than the majority of the cocktails! Bottle prices were well over 3x retail. The service was fine if a little slow, the biggest problem was the climate control - it was colder than outside on a February night and we were cold even with sweaters, and blankets kindly provided by our server.

We dined at Hearthstone Lounge twice this week. We had reservations Sunday at 7:10 PM and Wednesday at 7:30 PM. Unfortunately, both nights we were seated significantly later than our reservation times: 30 minutes late on Sunday (to be fair was a holiday weekend), and 45 minutes late on Wednesday. On top of that, the food service itself was slow too. The food is good here, I especially enjoyed the sea bass. However, both nights they forgot the creamy horseradish for the prime rib. We had to ask multiple times, and by the time it arrived, the prime rib was nearly gone. We joked they should just take a sharpie and cross out "creamy horseradish" in the menus. That said, the staff is kind, and our servers on both nights were good. The ambiance is also a highlight, it’s a lovely place to dine. However, they really need to address the long wait times for seating and food. With some improvements in efficiency, this could be a fantastic dining experience.

I came here two nights ago with my mom to get some food and drinks and have a break from the parks. The food was very mediocre. I ordered the burger and fries and my mom got a half club and soup. I asked for the burger medium and it came well and the fries were like cafeteria fries from an elementary school. All the food came out lukewarm. Super disappointing especially for the price and the fact that a five star resort is serving this food is unbelievable. The drinks were the only good thing about our experience. And the service was poor and very slow. I would recommend this place only for drinks.

Went here a few times during my 4 day stay at Grand Californian. Service was terrible every single time that I went, my group would sit for 10+ minutes before we were even acknowledged... The wings are amazing, definitely get those. Impossible burger was really meh. Would not recommend. This place is definitely understaffed. Our waitress was sweet but she was one of two servers in a packed restaurant.

Food was actually pretty good, but service was lousy. My wife and I intended to do dinner while relaxing in the hotel lobby. After ordering some coffee, food for our daughter and then another order for my wife and me I had yet to tip the waitress serving us. Her attitude grew increasingly shrewd and you could tell she was annoyed with us. She was assuming I wasn’t going to tip her. The last thing I ordered was a coke. I again paid cash for the soda. When she brought the coke it was literally over flowing with ice I ended paying $4.25 for I would estimate (and I’m not exaggerating) 3oz of soda. I gave her $20 and told her to keep the change as a tip for everything she has served us. About a minute later magically a soda with very little ice appeared at our table after we had all ready gathered our things. Both my wife and I commented that we noticed a huge difference in the amount served on the refill. Needless to say if the staff assumes your cheap then they’ll automatically treat you cheap

Ordered the Hearthstone old fashioned, menu said Eagle Rare 10 yr. Watched the bar tender make it with Buffalo Trace. Usually not an issue but bar tender should of told me he was substituting the bourbon.

The food was wildly inconsistent. Risotto was very good. Sea bass was inedible and sent back. Pizza was good. French onion soup tasted like pure beef broth and no one ended up eating it. The charcuterie plate had a nice variety of elements but was served with mostly digestive biscuits. Who eats salami and cookies? Since the charcuterie was for sharing, we asked for plates to eat off of. We got coffee cup saucers. Our actual waiter was MIA. We flagged down multiple random servers to try and get water refills. We spent more time waiting to check out than we spent eating. Our reservation was for 6pm. I cannot imagine how the service would be later on that Saturday evening. Ended up as the most expensive and worst food of our disneyland resort trip. (And that's saying something as our other dinner was at the blue bayou, which was great).

I ordered the prime rib. My server didn’t ask me how I wanted my meat cooked: rare to well done. When I asked about how well done my prime rib would be, he replied medium-rare, which is my preference. If medium-rare is a warm red center, this piece of prime rib was medium-well, with just a hint of pink in the middle. The French onion soup was bland and tasteless. The only flavor was too much salt. The only good part of the meal was the broccolini, crisp and not overcooked. Until management takes a more active role in supervising both the service and food preparation, Hearthstone Lounge should be avoided.

Surprisingly sub-par overall. I made reservations here because my family was going to Disneyland for one day and we wanted to go somewhere nice and splurge a little to experience food we don't normally go for. The prices are high but that wasn't an issue, I expected to pay a little more for a unique experience. The tragedy here was the quality of what was brought out. I got the Black Truffle Macaroni & Cheese and added chicken for $15, making the meal overall just over $43. The chicken was so dry I couldn't even choke it down without begging for some Ranch dressing (which was actually delicious—they have a unique Ranch sauce that's light and refreshing). The Mac & Cheese itself was okay but I have no idea what the truffles added (if anything) and it was just a huge glob of overcooked noodles and very thick sauce, so thick I was adding my ranch dressing to it near the end just so my mouth wouldn't dry out. My aunt's homemade Mac & Cheese beats this any day and I was sorely missing it during this meal. The consensus from the rest of my party was that the meat was fairly dry and nothing to write home about (One had the chicken sandwich on Brioche, the other had the beef sandwich on Focaccia). The only meal that was well-reviewed was the Sea Bass, which my cousin loved, and thank goodness since it was the priciest ($45) so it would have been extra disappointing if that was bad. The alcoholic drinks were so-so; some tasted like medicine, some were sweet, all were small and the wine wasn't worth entertaining (splurge or not, $20/glass for mediocre wine is just silly). The lemonade was basically just simple syrup with a dash of lemon juice—don't order it unless your blood sugar is low and you need a boost ASAP. Overall I just wasn't impressed. We were the second people seated and ordered before the bar even filled up so how and why was the chicken dry and overcooked like it had been sitting under a heating lamp? The menu is tiny and efficient and there are hardly any options vs. many other gourmet restaurants so how can they justify not doing everything in their limited selection well? Being brought lukewarm water and forgotten about a few times by the server didn't help but I would have forgotten those peccadillos in a second if the food was actually good. On the way in the hotel manager saw us and said the entire menu had been changed recently; I wonder if that was really a good decision?

I came here with my mom for a going away dinner. First off, the service was great, our server was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed even though she was super busy with other tables. However, the food was very disappointing, my mom and I ordered the steak, truffle Mac and cheese, charcuterie board, and Caesar salad. To start off the steak was basically cold same with the frites, the Caesar salad was ok but for the price I could have just gotten a prepackaged one from the store. The truffle mac and cheese was good but was still room temperature almost cold. We had to send the frites back but just ate the steak because we didn’t want to keep bothering her. The charcuterie board was the best part. The mock tails were good and the atmosphere was nice but overall I would not go back.

Such a disappointing and un Disney like experience. It took 35 minutes just to get water. From seating to eating we waited a full hour, and then the food was terrible! My medium rare burger was well done and had some strange mayo that tasted like it had taco seasoning in it that was not in the description. Our waiter said no one ever likes the burger. He offered to have it redone for me but I was too hungry and just ate it. My friend ordered the grilled cheese which she said she could barely cut through with a knife. Our cocktails were kind of weird...trying too hard. The room was freezing. Everyone was wearing their jackets and coats and looking uncomfortable. It took another 20 minutes to get our check. We spent an hour and forty miserable minutes on a meal that wasn't cheap or satisfying. I said something to a friend who loves Disney and is there all the time and she said she could have told me the restaurant would be bad. Sigh. So warning to the next person: skip it! Walk over to Tangaroa Terrace or Balast Point. Both have better food and far better service.

We had dinner last night for my daughter’s 24th birthday. Food was very decent. Music is way too loud it was very overwhelming. Food took way too long to come out. Would choose a different restaurant next time.

We made a reservation and were very excited for the experience just to be waiting 20 minutes for our drinks which were water. Then after ordering one of our meals which was the chicken sandwich with an over medium egg in it, which looked delicious, except that the egg was over easy and running clear all over the chicken. When I asked to exchange the meal due to the raw egg it took another 25 minutes, therefore getting the food to go. Never refilled our water and only checked up on us once which i told her about the raw egg. Such a let down on a great night of celebration.

This was my first time there since before Covid. It used to be such a wonderful relaxing lounge. Not anymore and now you need reservations. No more walking in casually! My Hubs and I found a table in the lobby. I was told we wouldn’t be served out there, but that wasn’t true. The food is very expensive and we waited quite awhile for ours plus beverages. After loving this place for years we won’t be back!

Three of us ate dinner at the Hearthstone Lounge on Tuesday Aug 20. The staff was friendly and happy to seat us 20 minutes before our reservation. Each of us ordered a drink, which arrived quickly and all were good. Unfortunately, our dinner was not up to Disney standards. We ordered a burger, chicken sandwich and a Cobb salad. The only customization on the order was no bacon jam on the burger. It took well over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. None of the items was at a temperature that would make one think we were waiting on someone’s order - clearly the delivery was just very slow. Additionally the one customization request was not honored. I haven’t spent $150 (before tip) on dinner for three for quite some time so was really disappointed to pay so much for a meal whose quality was not close to that price range. I hope other diners have a better experience at the Hearthstone Lodge - it is a very nice setting and a great place for a quiet break away from the noise and crowds at Disneyland.

The couch is limited for 3 or more persons, but they sit like a kid and two adults. My bill for two adults sitting would be way more. We had reservations and still waited plus the couch fireplace was open for 50 minutes we could have been sat and out. The fireplace seating area was one of my favorite traditions with my husband while we sip on old fashions…. Parties of two with reservations should be able to take a 4-top and spend 4 top prices instead of keeping a table open. I will be back even though once again Disney hits home with disappointment and dissatisfaction. I 100% blame the hosts….

This was the worst experience I have ever had at any location in the Disneyland Resort. I walked in with a group and we stood at the bar which had a total of 5 people seated there. It took approximately 5 minutes to even be acknowledged by any of the three severs behind the bar and another 5 for the first individual to have their order taken. This order took some time to get out despite the fact that it was only two well drinks. Once that transaction was completed and I was the next to be served I was passed over entirely in favor of another guest at the end of the bar who wanted another drink. I waited patiently for another 5 minutes or so before yet another guest was waited on before me. At this point I gave up and said the drink simply wasn’t worth being ignored any longer and went to have a seat with the rest of my party. One of my friends was upset that at my inability to get a simple drink from the bar and suggested that I should just order from one of the servers that was roaming the seating area. Already annoyed with the whole situation I begrudgingly agreed, only to have the same issue with the servers waiting on the table. They seemed to not want to deal with us at all, and made a point to avoid all eye contact with us even though they consistently checked in on a couple seated not 5 feet from us. We got the attention of one server after politely saying “excuse me” several times. He seemed put out by having to take a drink order (even though all I wanted was whiskey on the rocks). He came back after some time with the whiskey I ordered straight up, set it down and walked away without saying a word. I figured at this point I should count my lucky starts that I even got a drink in the first place, but when I started talking to my companions about the mix up in a simple drink order one of them noted that their gin and tonic contained no tonic at all, instead they had used club soda as a substitute. Another party member joined us at that time and wanted to order some food and a drink so we had to start the cat and mouse game of trying to get someone to take another order. When we finally flagged down a waiter and explained our drink situation he didn’t apologize at all, or show any emotion what so ever. I simply requested a glass of ice so I could add a few cubes, and my friend simply wanted some tonic water to add to her very poorly made gin and tonic. When he finally came back he explained that the bartender had thought that they were out of tonic water but simply didn’t look at the bottles in stock. Exasperated at this complete lack of Disney customer service we quickly finished out drinks and food and headed back into the park. To get 4 drinks and an appetizer it took well over an hour, which even by busy Vegas club standards is abysmal, let alone only having a handful of patrons to deal with. There was zero Disney Magic happening at this place and I plan on never returning. I can’t believe that one of the worse customer service exchanges I have EVER had happened in the Disneyland Resort. I would say avoid at all costs, but maybe we just caught them on a bad day. Still, I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Beware. 1. Kitchen is ‘under remodel’ so you can get a prime rib but it’s a slice of meat, no sides unless you want potato chips from a bag. 2. ‘Library of whiskeys” .. it’s a book but they don’t have a lot of them. 3. Expect rude security people at the gate to get in. And of course with the check you will pay for the kitchen remodel, despite the mediocrity. Enjoy.

I normally don't leave negative reviews but this is so frustrating I want Disney to be aware. My husband and I came to Hearthstone before and Loved It, good food, great service. We wanted to come back with our two friends (we live in florida and are here frequently for vacation) to show them the great lounge. The service from Mireya was terrible. She genuinely disregarded us and took forever to get our drinks, take our order, check on us, and give us our check. The overall experience took almost 2 hours cv xdxrfor one round of drinks, 2 orders of tenders and a sandwich. That's a Ridiculous amount of time. We also sent back the chicken tenders because they were ice cold. We waited a good minute before the new ones came out and they were still ice cold. The fries both times were cold and hard and it's just really disappointing to spend 44$ on chicken tenders they should be boiling hot for that price especially if your chicken tenders are pre-breaded frozen tenders. For 170$ I expect quality food and good service especially when we ordered easy things. I understand things happen and you don't always get the best experience or the food is wrong whatever it might be but the absolute lack of care and sense of urgency from the server and being given cold food twice in unacceptable. I called to talk to a manager for him to be just aware of the situation so that he could atleast look into it but just being told "we are a great place and things happen" is annoying. Didn't ask the servers name to remedy the issues, didn't say they'd go to the kitchen to inquire why chicken tenders are being sent out stone cold multiple times. And the kicker all while we were waiting and waiting for something as simple as the check our server was rolling silverware and doing linen. So I'm bringing this to Google in hopes you actually take these things seriously. I don't mind spending 170$ but I expect good service and quality and if those things aren't met I expect management to remedy that. On a positive note the hosts upfront who talked to me while I waited for the manager were super sweet and very funny 09/25/2024

The ambiance, drinks, and food are great.. HOWEVER, our experience here started off great and then slowly got worse & worse. Firstly, we were mandatorily evacuated from LA because of the fires, we were in Orange for multiple days and wanted to stop in somewhere to take our minds off the fact that we didn't know if we'd have a home to come back to, so we took advantage of being close to the park and hoped with could lighten the mood. We started off with 3 drinks ($20 each), got the bill for $60, I asked them to close the tab and open another one (we had a party of 4 and someone else was going to pay for the next round) The bartender (Jessica) gives me the bill, I give her my card, our party orders more drinks, and I never get my card back. I didn't think much of it as we were going to be there for a little. We order 3 more drinks ( 2 of the same @ $20, and one new one @ 18.75). So we are at 6 drinks total of which SHOULD be a total of $118.75; (5 @ 20 + 1 @ 18.75) + Tax. About another hour and a half goes by and another member of our party makes a separate order. Jessica hands me a new receipt, circling the amount in a mickey mouse style, saying this is now the running total ($160.28 - which mind you DOESN'T correctly reflect the amount that the first $60 did because now the drinks are $25 each ( 5 @ 25 + 1 @ 18.75 = 143.75 + tax = 160.28) and that my card has been continuously ran. Okay.... not the end of the world BUT I told you to run my card after the first bill AND why are the drinks reran at a higher amount? Anyhow, one of our party members hands me a $100 bill to put towards the amount, so we hand her back the card with the $100 in the billfold. She never asks if we want the $100 broken, applied toward the bill, if it's a tip, NOTHING. I'm expecting to quickly get a receipt back showing what was ran... nothing. Next thing you know, Jessica is clocking out, counting tips, and hasn't said anything to us for over 30 minutes, almost as if she was hoping, assuming, or just trying to run out because we had left $100 I guess her hoping it was all a tip not sure if she thought we were under the influence and wouldn't notice or what. This came off as SUPER unprofessional and sketchy at the time. If we did happen to leave you $100 for a $160 (should've been $130) bill, you'd ATLEAST assume you'd thank your customers/ guests for the generous tip. Nope, nothing, once we handed her the card and cash, we didn't hear from her the rest of our time there. So when I ask for the receipt and if I could get the bill back so I could leave a tip, she then got flustered and admitted to thinking we just left a generous tip (who gives a 100 on a 160 bill and doesnt ask if you want change? bar/ server 101.) Now, she's digging through the trash and pulls my bill out of the GARBAGE, has to get a manager to retroact everything and now I have double charges + $160 I shouldn't have been charged taken from my account and had to wait 5 days to get back during a crisis to where we almost lost everything. Like I said, the place is beautiful and other than that, the hospitality was good, but tbh, this was the absolute LAST thing that we needed regarding the circumstances. Not only do we evacuate everything in our home, we had to get overnight accommodations for our pet, us, and the last thing we wanted to worry about is a bartender/ establishment potentially trying to take advantage of us. It just left a horrible taste in our mouth and was that absolute worse timing to go through something like this when all we wanted to do was try to relax from everything. Please do better.

Thought this place would be great for breakfast. Boy, was I wrong. $75 for breakfast that was delivered in a greasy cardboard box. The box was designed to be ripped open into a plate. People will forget what they say but they don't forget how they made them feel

Made a reservation in advance for our stay at Disney and was greatly disappointed to not be made aware our reservation would be held outside now. Got sat at a wicker lawn chair with an end table which we were willing to deal with until all of the food was ice cold. Not what you expect from a Disney experience. Edit: to update the Google website for this location, even says temporarily closed. All reservations should’ve been told ahead of time that their reservations will be held outside on patio furniture.

We waited 40 minutes to be seated for our reservation but watched other groups of the same size coming up as a walk-in and got seated within 5 minutes. After seeing the recent reviews of others having a similar experience with service, we opted to save ourselves two hours and go elsewhere.

Will never spend my money at this lounge or Disneyland EVER AGAIN. A group of us minding our own business, talking, drinking and eating, when a racist couple behinds us complains. Telling the staff we were cursing and being loud. No cursing was being said AT ALL. Instead of just asking us to lower our voices, they instead cut us off from drinks and said we all need to drink water and eat. We had been doing that all night. The crazy thing me, my husband and friend leave ( interracial couple), after we leave they let the rest of our friends order drinks. I will be escalating this and absolutely refuse to ever give Disneyland my money again. Bunch of racists.

J
James Ho

Probably the worst service I've had in a while. Drink was empty a good 10 minutes before being asked for another, no water service, didn't have silverware or napkins served prior to food being served. I think I waited about 5 minutes before anyone noticed I didn't have a spoon for my soup. The only redeeming factor was the bartender didn't know the drink I asked for and made it to perfection based on my details. All I'll say is dont judge a book by its cover and show me as much attention as your other guests. I came in the night before and they were slammed but I still received better service than I did today.

If you are looking for that Disney magic, charm, and service, you’ve come to the wrong place at Hearthstone Lodge. Rude hostess and overpriced drinks are plentiful but make sure you thank them for the privilege. Won’t be coming back to here or this hotel.

I’ve been a frequent guest throughout the years, but it has been awhile since I’ve came in due to the reservations. However, it was my anniversary and I wanted to treat my wife. The food is good, but over priced in my opinion. The craft cocktails were excellent. Now, you are wondering why I gave a one star, and why this is my first review. I was appalled at a conversation I overheard. A bartender Brianna was laughing and giggling with a guest next to us about “getting” someone named Jenny. Whether Jenny is their ex, a coworker or another guest, the things she was saying were not appropriate. I’m disappointed that this is the type of behavior that Disney allows.

Waiting for 45 minutes for my food. What a shame. I order a chicken salad to go and I waited for almost 1 hour for a salad. The restaurant was not busy. I felt like the staff didn’t care until I asked for my money back then everyone was scrambling to get my salad. The manager was ok. He gave me a full refund. The other restaurant next to the pool area was excellent, good food, amazing service , and the staff was super nice. Don’t waste your time eating here you will be waiting for hours to get your food.

We had the absolute worst experience here… We had some food from the park that we were told by the lead was OK.An employee By the name of Jenny acted as if we were having a full course Thanksgiving meal at her bar… After sealing up the bag, she was completely disrespectful to me and my party and provided zero communication while we were trying to pay our bill. She had fully walked away and rolling her eyes at me while we were unsure if we had completely paid or not. As we were walking out, she rudely stopped us to sign the bill… Which is fine, however, we were unsure because she was completely uncommunicative while we were exiting. Love this hotel, however avoid the bar staff if possible. this hotel is recognized by Forbes, but I can assure you that Forbes would not approve of this kind of service.

The atmosphere was great, but Gloria our server she was absolutely horrible. Not once during enough food, did she ask how it was once during the drink she asked how was it for $22 for food for five wings she should be asking she should be looking at me in the eyes instead just walking away.. I will never come back here and make sure to tell all my friends in the Disneyland community this place is not it

Reservation was at 8:30 pm. We checked in at 8. They sat us at 9pm. Then no one came to us for an hour. We were walking out and they said that they could get the food to us in 30 minutes. So we waited a total of 2 hours to have to wait another 30 minutes for the food. Mind you we tried to flag down MULTIPLE workers and they all made eye contact and turned away. I felt like I was waving my hand like a crazy person. I even went up at 30 min mark and the waiter said someone will be right with us. We played two games of chess so obviously it looked like we were ready to order. Even the water person went to the other tables to fill their cups but completely sidetracked us. The party of 4 got their drinks when we sat down. They were eating dessert by the time we left. I got the 8:30 time as I wanted us to eat and have enough time to go through California Adventure but by the time we left we were starving and the park was closing. I tried to complain to guest service and the very kind man told me to go to the website. All the online Disney guest service said was sorry and they will talk to someone.... So all I am saying is don't go here if you got money to spend and are hungry because they just forget about you. We left the park entirely and went and got in N out. Never been disappointed by them or Disney before. Also, it wasn't busy... at 8 when we got there for checkin it was busy. By 9 o'clock we went in to sit down and half the restaurant was empty. Don't go here. The other restaurant by the pool is better. Or better yet the buffet. At least you can get up and get your own food.

We dined at Hearthstone back in September at the bar. The reason for my 8-month late review isnI had reached out to Disney multiple times over the past 8 months only to get a standard "we've redirected your email to another department" response and nothing coming from that. I have eaten at this bar before, but haven't had service where we were ignored and not followed up on as frequently. When we sat down, the hostess, Karla, had the bartenders acknowledged us as we opted to sit at the bar rather than a table that we had reservations for. Water was quickly given to us, but no attempt at taking our drink order was made for a good 10+ minutes. We understood it was busy, so we didn't really press the wait. Drinks were eventually taken, and soon food orders were put it in. Food took a long time, and during this time I was able to put in another drink order, my boyfriend opted to wait until he was finished with his current drink. Bartender didn't check on us, disappeared (break maybe?), and we waited about 20 mins for another bartender to grab us drinks. At this point we had been there for about 45 minutes. Food finally came, and the NY strips were OK, but not worth the price. We were very disappointed. We ate our food, and we're ignored for over 20 minutes after finishing with empty drinks and dirty dishes and no assistance. No one checked on us, checked on if the food was ok. Dropped off and ignored. We waited, and waited, and finally our bartender came back and we got our last drinks. We spent $259.68 pre tip, and felt cheated. About 8 hours later, and I was throwing up, and feeling really sick. I had only eaten at Hearthstone that day. Disney did not contact me to discuss the service issues or food quality/possible food borne illness issues.

The food was very good. However we waited at least 30 minutes past our reservation time. We ate there on my bday Dec 8. The service was terrible. Maybe they overbooked. Maybe they were shorthanded. But I was really looking forward to a nice dinner at Disneyland on my birthday. I was very disappointed. When you pay a lot of money for a nice meal you hope for at least mediocre service. This was the absolute worst service I’ve ever had. No exaggeration. I’ll never eat there again.
