Amazing menu!! I wanted pupusas for breakfast after work but every other place opened at 10am; this was the only one that was open by 8am!! Made the drive from Santa Ana and it was super worth it. The pupusas were amazingg, my boyfriend tried their asada/queso pupusas and he LOVED them! The atmosphere was great, they played cumbias and spanish classics😮💨 one of my favorite things about this place was that they had bible verse decor on the walls along with free tracts to read :)❤️ I 100% recommend this place 🙌🏼
This place is like a taco truck a lit bit greasy but dang mommy knows her papusas. We met Nathan and he told us his mom went to church with a lot of Salvadoran ladies and learned from them. Got to love those church ladies they do make the best food!! My friend n i ordered the chorizo papusas and some carne asada n carnitas tacos. The papusas were excellent. My friend is Latino so to hear him tell me that the papusa was one of the best he ever had is saying a lot. The tortilas for our tacos were also homemade same with my horchata. The food here is yummy. As im writing this im kicking myself for not ordering a bunch of papusas to take home for the freezer. Nathan please tell your mommy thank you! Wish i lived closer i would be a regular.
History shopping center before the big Disney Boom building is very tiny. I personally felt claustrophobic, but other than that, good was amazing. Everything cooked to order salsa is fantastic and has such a fresh taste. I definitely recommend this location
If you want good al pastor tacos. Stop here. This is our, my boyfriends and I, favorite place to eat. We always stop here now at least once while we are in the area. 100/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Wonderful little place tucked in just down the street from Disney. A good variety of Latin dishes cooked on request where you can watch them being made. Muy delicioso. Will definitely be back.
I'm a huge pupusa fan who tries to eat pupusas in every town I visit. I have probably tried pupusas in close to 50 places. Today, I went here. Had the standard bean and cheese pupusa. BEST EVER!! And they were extremely nice in terms of service. Loved it. Took extras back to my family.
The pupusas are absolutely amazing. I had chorizo with cheese, bean with cheese and loroco with cheese. The best part is the cheese, it's salty and stringiest. Eating here reminded me of eating pupusas in my home country El Salvador. I also had a Carnitas torta. The carnitas were absolutely delicious. I recommend eating here and I will return!
Place is quaint. The food is delicious. I was bummed that they didn’t have the typical Salvadorean drink, “ensalada”, and the platano macho fritos. Service was great.
Great food from a small restaurant! I have tried most of the items on their menu and can't find one reason why I wouldn't want to do it all over again. If you are in the Anaheim, California area, give this place a try. Large orders can take some time. If possible, order ahead online.
Made fresh to order, the cook was hand making the Papusas l, so its not instant, but it's REALLY good. I would definitely come here again if I get the chance. I'll probably be going again tonight...
The food was amazing. The tacos were great. The menudo we ordered was hot, fresh and good. Overall a really good place to get Mexican food near Disneyland
Excellent food, superb service. A good place to have some lunch or order take out .
I loveeeeeee this place! I'm from San Diego and every time I come to Disneyland I make sure to stop at this place to get my pupusas! The curtido is amazing as well as the pupusas itself. I'm vegetarian and there were at least 3 options for me to choose from to get my fill. Apart from that the salsa was amazingly spicy and the Jamaica super flavorful and the people that work there are so nice and welcoming like going to your auntie's kitchen for lunch.
Pupusas were great! No restrooms so you might want to avoid if you have kids that have to pee every 15 mins, super hot, but everyone was very friendly!
My wife and I are from British Columbia, Canada. Every time we go to Disneyland, we make sure we stop here for some Pupusa's. It's seriously amazing, so glad we could continue this tradition with our small children this week.
Last year when I attended BlizzCon, we got tacos a number of times, and they were amazing! I spent a year hunting around the Twin Cities for comparable tacos, to no avail. When we came back for BlizzCon 2016 the first thing we ate for dinner was these tacos. They were just as tasty (and affordable) as I remembered. I foresee many more tacos in my tummy this week. :)
The food is really good! It's a Disneyland tradition for us to get papusas at least once while we're in the area.
The food was amazing! We tried the tacos and pupusas and both were 10/10.
The food is fantastic and all the staff is very friendly. A definite place to eat and take your family.
We found this little gem before leaving our Disneyland trip. Wish we would’ve gone sooner. The food was delicious! Best pupusas we have ever had! Very affordable too. Exceptional customer service as well! Will definitely be coming every-time we are visiting! Definitely recommend!
The best tacos and pupusas I have had in a very long time. It’s a little hole in the wall place, not fancy but it’s worth the food. They were busy and it took a little long to get our food but the wait was so worth it. The lady went out of her way to make fresh coffee and customer service is the best! My husband loved the tacos with handmade tortillas. We will definitely eat here again! If you don’t care about eating in a little, not fancy place, but get to the best service, this is it!
My friend and I came here for lunch. It was amazing. We got tacos and pupusas. This is not like your watered down Mexican restaurants. I got two chorizo tacos with handmade tortillas, and they were some of the best I ever had. The pupusas (revuelta) were exquisite. I will be coming back for more. There is indoor dining, but there is only room for about 8 to 10 people. Parking can be difficult to find.
The food was amazing and owner was very friendly.
Cute and cozy little spot with amazing food! Everytime my boyfriend and visit Anaheim to attend conventions or Disneyland we *need* to come here for pupusas. They’re so good!!!! Hot, made to order, and filling!! The pickles are so good too!!!
This is my favorite papusa joint. I have been here many times. Everything I have eaten is very good ,it is consistently consistent. I saw a review that were negative in respects to the food not being "tasty" ..... they are wrong!! Everything is made to order, it is not super fast service but it is solid service. If you want fast food go to a fast food joint.
Was looking to fill a tacos and pupusas craving during our trip to California from the far coast, and Tacos y Pupusas delivered. Tacos y Pupusas plants itself in an ideal location along Katella Avenue (well within walking range of the Disney Land Resort theme parks and properties) right before the off and on-ramps to the I-5 Freeway. As others have said, it is very unassuming, blending in with the other stores that it shares the small plaza with so it becomes quite easy to miss and pass as you're walking by. Being open by 6:00am, Tacos y Pupusas provides breakfast offerings to both locals and visitors hoping to get a meal in before getting into parks. It's a refreshing option amongst the usual Denny's and iHOP that are open and available during those similar hours. The food was made to order, and I was able to request breakfast burritos which were not on the menu. The cook was incredibly friendly and helpful; she was quick with the order and sent me happily away with the meal in short time. I walked here from the convention center area, and the food was wrapped so well that the heat was trapped and sealed in such that it was still piping hot by the time I got back to the hotel. The breakfast burritos were amazing; the flavor of the burrito alone didn't call for either the salsa picante or salsa verde. The balance between all the ingredients in the burrito was perfect with each bite, making it a satisfying breakfast meal. I would love to come back to this establishment again if I'm in the area, and try out their other offerings. Highly recommend!
Put visiting from Chicago area. Always on the hunt for good local authentic Mexican food when traveling. And this place did not disappoint. Food was fantastic. Can tell everything is homemade from thr tortillas, meats and salsa. All the meats were so flavorful, moist and tender. On my last day here had to go back and get my fix before leaving. Super nice staff, great prices and quick service. If you are looking for something fancy this is not it. But if looking for a small authentic tasty as heck place this is the place for you. If I come back to the area I will be stopping back in.
We were actually walking to the Habit burger when I saw this place from across the street. My dad went over and ordered the Pupusas Revueltas for a family of 5 and it was good! We also ordered drinks and it came out to be $40. We actually took some pupusas to Disneyland, which was way cheaper than the foods in there. Definitely recommend this place and I definitely would recommend to take this inside the park.
Small mom & Pops Tacos & Pupusas that taste like moms food. I've never been let down. Do me a favor & treat the ladies nice as they are total sweet hearts. Hand made tortilla Tacos are yummy & the Pupusas are so delicious, but watch out for that red sauce, it'll burn!!! 🔥
This is an awesome find in the overly commercial Disneyland area. They serve fresh made authentic Mexican dishes for very reasonable prices. We wound up eating here multiple days in a row it was so good. When I get home to Texas I will be suggesting this place to everyone I know.
I got my food to go (online order), but it was on time and prepared when they said it would be. Some of the best pupusas I’ve ever had. Phenomenal, no problems. Had the chorizo, chicken, and beans with cheese. The tacos were alright, probably wouldn’t get those again.
Absolutely bomb. Have been coming here during every NAMM show since 2017 and food has been amazing every single time. If you want authentic home cooking from a friendly bunch of folks then this is the place to go ❤️
This charming hole in the wall offers scrumptious food in generous portions. I very much enjoyed my torta and even had enough left over for lunch for a couple days. ***Updating this review to rave about the papusas! They are delightful, delicious, filling, and dare I say addictive. Very very addictive!!!***
The food is freshly made. Just like homemade. The corn tortillas are made fresh and hot. Yum. I enjoy the meatballs (abondigas). Their gorditas, their tacos, their pupusas.....you gotta try this place.
Visiting Anaheim for the first time during my trip to Disney. Stayed closed by and tried this place out. Had many popusas in many different places. All I can say is these pupusas are legit and some of the best I’ve tried. Went back again and going back one last time before I go back home.
Was craving pupusas and came across this place. Small but the food was great. The guy that helped us was super friendly. Food was great and not bad price at all. All made fresh to order!
Tried Queso Pupusas and hand made Carne Asada Tacos. Very delicious! I love that you can see the tortillas being made from scratch. Service was pleasant and restaurant was clean. Fountain drinks weren't in order but they had a wide selection of canned and bottled drinks to choose from.
Was in Anaheim for Heli Expo. Exceptional pupusas, and I’ve tried many. Curtido, yum!!! Do not miss!!! Helps if you speak Spanish, happily my daughter does! I have no doubt everything else is great.
Decor is a little dated and might turn you away but the food is surprisingly delicious. I haven’t been let down. From chilaquiles to mole to pupusas. Everything is great!
The meat was bomb! Very rare for me to find a good Mexican place with good Carne Asada burritos. Definitely going back. Edit: Didn't change my rating because of this but went back to try the carne asada nachos. They were OK. Very small compared to other places and for the price. Also they were very salty.
Their pupusas are delicious. They are definitely one of the best ones I have ever tried. You can not go wrong with the mixed pupusas. They have a real good flavor to them. I really love the fact that the cheese oozes out so that it adds a crisp to the edges. Also their curtido is delicious, just be careful it can get really spicy. Especially, when you bite into a piece of chili. It is definitely a small location, but it honestly doesn't matter. Their food is delicious.
The food was amazing and vegetarian options are available. The storefront is unassuming, but the food is affordable, delicious, and the portions are generous. The ladies who were working were nice and the restaurant was clean. I’ll definitely be back next time we’re at Disneyland for sure.
Staff is friendly, welcoming, and kind to non-spanish speakers! I loved trying papusas, and the tacos came with lots of meat. Most reasonable prices too!! Very few tables to dine in though.
It's a small business with quality foods and service. They are busy and weel worth the wait. I recommend this place for anyone with a taste bud for authentic flavors .. this is the spot.
Was in town for a few days and saw this place. I grew with El Salvadorian friends asa child and to this day every Sunday his family gets together to make homemade pupusas; and that’s what this place reminded me of. Fresh homemade food. It’s a small place and you can see them making and grilling them on the spot. The guy working told me that it was going to be a wait for the food because they were busy and apologized. As I waited he kept checking up on me and then he gave two for free because of the wait. They were UNBELIEVABLY good! I got the cheese, beans and cheese, and meat ones. I highly suggest stopping by if you can.
Amazing papusas. Love this place. Easy to order and they are quick with getting the order ready. Highly recommend
Walk down from the Westin convention center, just 25 minutes well worth it. Had the chorizo queso pupusa and the Chicharron pupusas both excellent. But the star of the show was the beef and cheese Mulitas. Tortillas are pressed to order, very special flavors. They have all the appropriate beverages, the Jarritos and Mexican Coke.
the gentleman on register on 11/22/25 was SO sweet and patient. there was a spill and he was more than happy to clean it up for us!! he was super attentive to our table. the atmosphere in here is awesome and the food is amazing. definitely recommend this place if you want some bomb mexican food for lunch or dinner!
Found this place close to where we were shopping at this afternoon. Small restaurant with a nice family atmosphere. Fresh handmade food that was priced right and tasted amazing! Must come back when in Anaheim. Got a handmade tortilla asada taco and two papausas that were so delicious!
Un lugar excelente para comer comida mexicana excelente sazón muy amables y lo mejor tortillas hechas a mano. Las pupusas muy ricas y llenadoras
We went to Disneyland for a few days and on one of our off days we had dinner at Tacos Y Pupusas. I’m a huge fan of pupusas. If you’ve never tried one before, I am begging you to try one, at least once. You can get them filled with pork, chicken, steak, cheese, or beans. I got two chicken pupusas revueltas, and they were delicious!
Enjoyed a tasty chorizo breakfast burrito while waiting for my pupusas. Pupusas are generally made to order regardless of location. Understand that you'll need to allow about 20 minutes preparation time. Or call order in ahead of time. Back to the food items... As mentioned, breakfast burrito was tasty, but while it was a good portion, it was a bit smaller than expected. Pupusas were very good. Revuelta and chorizo. First chorizo pupusas I've ever had...was very good. I definitely recommend it and this venue! It's a small venue with only a few tables, so take-out is recommended.
We found this place to be very good and the food is not greasy like some places. I was pleasantly impressed to see that all the tables were very clean. The staff is very kind and friendly. We tried the chicken street tacos. The tortillas were very fresh and homemade.
This food at this place is good and they serve good portions but I think they need to improve the customer service a little bit more, prices are fair.
I gave it 4 out of 5 because there's only 2 tables in the restaurant. I have been going here since before downtown Disney swallowed up all the small businesses around the park and this place remains. They serve mexican food but it's really a Pupuseria. The pupusas are excellent and the curtido to die for. The staff is friendly. If you want great take out food or you don't mind sitting in a cramp dinning area this place is excellent.
The place was kind of sad looking. Service was friendly and the food was decent. The gordita had a good kick to it. The papusa was thin and was just meh. There's a $1 fee if using credit card. Would come again if I was in the area but would probably not go out of my way to come back.
Nice little restaurant to grab a quick bite Place looks clean, it's a bit small tho but the food tasted great, I had carne asada tacos, and adobada tacos, they have other type of 'guisos' like 'Chile Relleno', 'Birria' and Caldo de Res, can't remember what else. They also have sopes in their menu, tortas, etc, but I didn't see any Pupusas on the menu, I probably I overlooked. I was in the area and was hungry that's why I decided to give it a try, there is parking in front of the restaurant. The prices are not that bad, as I said food was good, I might try it again if I happen to be in the area in the near future.
A fantastic hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. The food is phenomenal. I didn’t really think a chicken quesadilla could be that much better, but I was wrong. My mole enchiladas were top notch as well. There for sure is a language barrier, but everyone is friendly and patient. The environment outside leaves something to be desired, but that’s mostly out of their control. It’s a perfect spot to grab something quick and delicious.
Went here out of curiosity and wow I was surprised. The lady that served me and made my food was really nice and even tho I looked confused as to where to order, she directed me and made me feel welcome. The only down side for me was the horchata drink. Too sweet in my opinion, but for others it might be a good option (my mom liked the drink).
Love the food at this place! The decor isn't amazing, but let's face it, if you're looking for affordable authentic Mexican food, appearances aren't the priority. It's a great break from all the family spots in the area. No crying babies! I ate here like 6 times during my stay.
It’s a typical whole in the wall place with dubious hygiene, basic service, but above average food. Slightly above, keep your expectations low. Also they show you the menu, but the prices are incorrect, they just have a sign that the prices have changed but not by how much.
We come here for the pupusas and sopes. Pupupas are always fresh and hot and so good. All the fixings and salsas are good. Recommend chicarron con quest and revuelta.
Se me hizo muy buen precio para todo lo que pedí normalmente me gasto el doble en otros lugares, aunque la comida no es muy buena pero tampoco mala.
Muy ricas las pupusas, el trato es gentil .
Pupusas were ok, not the best, but also not the worst. Place is small and very hot, felt like we were sitting in a small oven. Couldn't tell you what grade the restaurant has, since the sign was nowhere to be found. Place needs a good cleaning, doesn't look too bad, until you look up. Nothing a good dusting couldn't fix. Last but not least, don't trust the labels on the sauces. "Mild" is actually fire hot. I liked it, but if you're not into super spicy, that sauce would wreck your meal.
I got some good pupusas here to go but they gave them to me in foil like they were selling them in the parking lot or out of a cart in the street they weren't that expensive but they weren't cheap $3 each and the foil in a very small very thin plastic bag. I was eating on the go and i think most comparable restaurants would sell to go food in a tray or plate
Ive been here twice because i had been craving some pupusa and yes they are very good they make them fresh but the only problem is the customer service from the onwer she is very rude. She ignores you and if you ask her a question regarding the food she replies with attitude.. price are different from 3 menus she has..
Friendly staff but neither spoke English. I had to Spanglish my way through questions about the menu. Pupusas were fresh but a bit bland. Chorizo pupusa was so greasy I couldn't taste anything over the grease. Bean and cheese was good with the green salsa added for flavor. Asada tacos were marginal, beef tasted just like beef, no seasoning. Tacos are street sized so you'll need to order 3 for a full meal. Red (hot) salsa was delicious. $1 fee for debit/credit card usage. Lunch for 2 was $20 (4 tacos, 2 pupusas, 2 sodas).
I placed an order for my family of 4. We were not given sides with 2 of the 4 entrees. I placed the order in the store and we communicated back and forth about what was included.
We ordered our food by phone when we got there they said they forgot to put the order in and made us wait and extra 20 min. Come home and pupusas are missing the curtido, smushy It's the third or foutfo time we had this. Pupusas are great but the service needs to get better we've been eating at this place for some years the lady owner needs to really pay attention
Was looking forward to some authentic pupusas after a long trade show here. My wife is Salvadoran and knows a good pupusa. Not really good at all and the service wasn't good either. Waited 45 minutes for the food. Never even received part of our order and had to get a refund for it. I dont usually give negative reviews but this had to happen...oh well...live & learn
Gave this place a second chance after the horrible pupusas I tried the first time. My huarache with asada was waaaay to salty and the mole has a weird taste. The aguas frescas are served on a tiny cup. The only reason why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because they open early.
My co-worker and I went here yesterday, we were not sure what to ordered and they never suggested anything. My co-worker ordered the Costillas de Puerco plate, of which the portion was way too small, 3 little pieces of meat on the plate, with rice and beans, and 4 handmade tortillas. I ordered the Taco Plate with 2 tacos on handmade tortillas, rice and beans. The Costillas de Puerco tasted okay, the meat on the tacos were okay but honestly, the beans were very watery and the rice was very bland. Her meal with a drink was almost $22, mine was $18. There is no going back to this place ever again. Will continue to look for a place for lunch once or twice a week. Hopefully we can find it. They do not have a public restroom as it's posted, if you have to wash your hands, you would have to walk around to the back to be able to.
I like going to, but it’s really good but for some odd reason, I’ve been getting my food wrong. I ordered to chat with gas and they gave me beans with Charron and then I called just to say if they told me that it was that I didn’t know how to tell the difference between a bean or cheese. I don’t know how I feel now I feel disappointed so
This place closes at 10pm. We got here 10min til 9pm and they would not allow us to order food to dine in. They stated we had to take our food to go even though we had at least an hour til their closing time. We were a party of 2.
From my experience I would have liked the place to be cleaner and have more hygiene.!! the person who collects the orders.! she prepared the food without washing her hands among other things!!
I was all about this place… the service is really nice and the food is good. Until I saw the lady who does the cooking, touching EVERYTHING then touching the food. She moved a yellow “cleaning sign” with masa still in her hands, to a bucket of something. Then she used those same hands to pick up customers food with her fingers and serve it on to a plate and then served the food WITH masa all over her hands. She then picked up a cleaning towel and moved it, grabbed utensils STILL with masa on her hands, to go back to the grill to flip the pupusas. NO NO NO……. Will not come here again 😵💫😩😓
Bad ... really bad Service - horrible One person servicing and she can not able to take your order, you need to write it beside she is rude... Price - Expensive as hell... Pupusas are ok but 2.50 and 2.75 for Queso & Loroco? Nahhhh 5 small tables where you can not able to sit comfortable. I only go there because is close where I live but no more at all... whoever is the owner should sale the place if he/she can not able to handle the business, as a Salvadorean they shouldn't sale our product, keep sale Mexican Food but no Salvadorean.. also bring extra people to serve... its horrible! She is doing everything not clean, I don't know how the place is open!
Went here lastnight around 945pm with my husband. First thing I notice was the lack of customer service upon walking in, just stares from the two ladies working. The gentleman before me got a hello and a goodbye. Hmm. So i ordered a chicken torta with no mayonnaise becuase I'm expecting... She looked at me with a frustrated look, like I don't know what you mean or what you want. Just attitude for no reason and I'm paying. So my husband jumps in. Him being Salvadorian he took over in Spanish and her whole attitude changed towards him. She told me the total, 7bucks..I paid and we waited. All to get the most basic torta ever! Chicken was so salty it killed the whole thing and I love salt. Salsa was basic and watered down, no flavor. So disappointed. I had 3 bites and threw it away. I love mom and pop shops and papusas which I've had here once before but her attitude and lack of customer service was horrible and i will not allow myself to spend my money here again. Customer service is everything! Maybe I need to become fluent in Spanish to get better service, go figure?!
Pupusas had no real kick to them. Plain and slim. They also didn't give us the tomatoes sauce that always goes with the curtido. Very disappointed. And the horchata was not good.
Disappointed with their food quality. Expensive and no flavor. I ordered to go, forgot to checked my order. When I’d arrived at my hotel, I noticed I was missing the main salsa for the pupusas and salsas for tacos. My fault. But really bland food. Not worth your money and time.
There is a really big light up sign saying pupusas $2.35 and the lady said they were 2.50 once inside. I was confused by the price change but continued to place my order. Then she completely ignored me and started to take the order of the people behind me. Extremely rude first and last time ever going there.
I only came back here because the last time we came it was good, the quality has definitely changed portion sizes are small for what they charge. I’m not sure if it was the cheese or if they were SPOILED but they were SOUR. Never coming back not worth how much they charge at all.
Called ahead to pick up, they read my order back and said 15 minutes. I showed up in 15 minutes. The grill was literally completely clean when I got there, and the person behind the counter told the cook to start making my order. I told them my order again and paid, ordering 4 different types of tacos. They brought out 4 chicken tacos.
They Advertise the restaurant as open during times when it is not open
Though the guy was nice the service was horrible. I ordered chicken tacos and took them 20 minutes to tell me they didn’t have chicken and then gave me carne/beef.My mom which is vegetarian got a fish taco and there was beef in it. Not only 4 tiny tacos and I mean tiny tacos 1 fish taco drink 2 tiny sides came to 40 dollars. Not to mention it took them 40 minutes for our food and served the customers that ordered after us first. And we told them the food for there and gave us a bag and didn’t give us forks or napkins
This place didn't give me part of my order they charge way too much for the Agua Fresca they sell, I mean 8 dollars for an Agua Fresca is unheard of especially for a small that is in the fridge already served. So there is no telling if it's even fresh. I had to get back on here and mention how greasy the burrito was and so was the rest of the order. When I asked what the breakfast burrito had in it no one was able to give me a definite answer with leads me to believe that that there is no consistency with how certain things are made. Dont think I'll be visiting again.
This place was recommended by Disney employees, I went there really excited to try Orange County Mexican food. The food not good at all . The Issue for me was the lady cooking Had her mask down her neck and talking to coworker while making food and touching Dirty items and not washing her hands And getting back to putting order together.
We were in the mood to eat pupusas keep in mind. It says that they close at 10 when we showed up the gentleman asked if we were gonna dine in and they only had takeout options. I’d like to support small mom and pop shops, but this was disheartening.
