Jour et Nuit Antey-Saint-André Reviews
We had dinner at the restaurant. The food was very good, the atmosfere and the owners were very nice, the wine that was recommended was also very good.
Family dinner the third week of August. Welcoming atmosphere. We tried the Valdostan cutlet for the kids...super!...Exceptional Valdostan soup...perhaps the nettle gnocchi were a bit unrelated; they were good but lacked a little extra kick... Recommended wine: Excellent from a new, growing family winery run by eight Valdostan brothers...the price was truly reasonable and not excessive compared to other restaurants we've tried where you can sample typical specialties. Recommended!
Used as a bed and breakfast, the rooms are cozy and furnished with traditional furnishings. A generous sweet and savory buffet breakfast is served. Clean rooms.
Katia is a lovely person, and the room I booked was very cozy and clean. The breakfast was superb. I didn't have the pleasure of dining there, but the restaurant was always full during my stay. It has convenient parking and is easy to find.
My husband and I stopped in while passing through. We requested a platter and two Valpelline soups, even though we were well before dinner time, because we couldn't wait. They were incredibly friendly and kind enough to accommodate us. Excellent, high-quality food, presented in a very mountain-style style. The setting and location truly let you savor the mountain air! The owner is very welcoming and makes her customers feel at ease... in short, I really didn't want to leave!
We stopped at the restaurant for dinner and we had a great time. Fresh and quality products, abundant and delicious dishes from appetizers to dessert. Quick and accurate service and kind and attentive staff. To try.
This is a place where you always feel like you're part of the family and are treated as such. Excellent food paired with the right wines and beautiful, traditional Aosta Valley-themed rooms make the meal a romantic stop.
Kudos to Katia, the rooms are cozy with antique wood interiors, the food is excellent, traditional, and home-cooked. This year, the wellness area is also available, perfect after a day of skiing. Free, punctual transportation is available with their van, so there's no waiting in front of the ski lifts.
We had lunch here on August 15th. Everything was excellent, from the courteous and quick service to the food. Excellent quality. I've been to this restaurant several times and will return! Thank you all.
The first thing that strikes you upon arrival and makes you appreciate the place even before you step inside is the view of the surrounding mountains. The place is quaint and very charming. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and the owner is very nice. We'll be back.
We ate at the restaurant, and what can I say? Excellent typical Aosta Valley cuisine in an equally picturesque location. I think I'll remember the Aosta Valley steak in particular for a long time. The owner was very kind and helpful in guiding us through our selection of dishes. Average prices. Highly recommended.
It's been our go-to restaurant in Valtournenche for 16 years now, and it never disappoints. Katia makes us feel at home, and her cuisine is truly excellent. I can't recommend a specific dish, because they're all so good... We've even stayed overnight a few times: the rooms are well-kept and comfortable, and the location is perfect for exploring the valley.
Probably the best dinner we had in the Torgnon / Anthey area. Excellent choice of local dishes and wines. Service is both courteous and ultra efficient. Highly recommended for a true taste of the Val d'Aosta cuisine. We had dinner on the winter veranda side, a really nice room. We'll go back for sure.
I tried the property both as a guesthouse and as a restaurant, and my overall impression was absolutely positive. The rooms are very nice, decorated in wood, with a view of the valley. They aren't huge, but they offer all the comforts you could need. The bathroom has a hydromassage shower, which isn't something everyone can expect. The cleanliness was also good. The restaurant fully met my expectations: traditional, no-frills, yet substantial cuisine. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The owner (Katia) was very friendly and welcoming, as was the staff's comment. We'll be back as soon as we can. Highly recommended.
Review of a 7:15 PM dinner at the Jour et Nuit restaurant: • The staff is friendly • The dishes are high quality. • The menu is full of Aosta Valley specialties, cheeses, cured meats, meats, and pasta. • Parking is 20 meters away, and despite sharing it with the hotel, there were plenty of spaces available. • We dined with a beautiful view of the mountains, although the windows were a bit too high. • The bottle was served in a cooler, but... without a napkin to hold it. • The napkins are a bit uncomfortable; they don't clean well and absorb water well. This doesn't change my high rating, but it would be better to consider more efficient alternatives!
A nice and cozy restaurant, with very friendly staff. Food was good but not exceptional, in terms of flavours. Local cuisine that you should definitely try!
Location: very beautiful and quaint. Service: unfortunately, we felt a lack of friendliness. Upon our arrival, while we were saying goodbye to friends waiting for us (we also had a person with a leg brace and a 6-month-old baby), we were asked to move. We wanted to order drinks right away, but were told they would take one order along with the food. We were not asked to have the steak cooked. During the meal, we were asked if we wanted dessert, even though we were still eating, and the bread was taken away while someone was still at the table.
Very easy and not tasty, the pasta was horrible
