Pho Hoang Arcata Reviews
Pleasantly surprised by how good the food and drinks were here! We were passing by this town and decided to give this restaurant a shot - one of the best places we stopped at during the trip! The papaya salad had great, authentic flavor (and not spicy), my pho's broth was rich and flavorful, and the boba was soft and chewy! The milk teas were also very good and the flavors were on point. I would definitely come again if I'm in town!
The pho was so delicious and came out very quickly. I got the beef combo #1, it had lots of meat and noodles. Additionally, the pho was very affordable - great value! The inside was nice and well maintained. I would definitely recommend coming in for a bowl of pho.
It's so amazing. Their Rare Steak Pho was perfect, and the egg rolls were divine. Everything came out so fast we waited like less than 5 minutes after ordering! Great service, good atmosphere, aside from being hot and stuffy. Prices were very reasonable. Sizes are generous and always kept finding meat even when i thought i was done.
The pho here is the best you'll get in Humboldt! However, the stir fry is to DIE for! Everything always tastes so fresh, service is fast and amazingly enough, cheap. Its my partner's favorite restaurant:)
great service and wonderful food. friendly staff. welcoming atmosphere. enjoyed the vegetarian pho, crispy egg rolls, and beef.
We're visitors, but it seems that most of their customers were regulars who go there often. Service was super friendly and they had a lot of noodles in the bowl. I thought the sides of bean sprouts and jalapenos was a bit less than my usual, but I didn't care much because I left there full. Good atmosphere and quick service! Will hit this place again if we're in the area.

Wonderful food, great flavor,, the curry was a little watery and thin but it had great flavor and was still very satisfying
I have been coming here for many years. This place has the absolute best food, they have the best service they deliver food so quickly to you and they are always so happy to see me. Favorite food is probably pad Thai with shrimp and then the pineapple rice. I absolutely love love love them and if I could give them 10 stars, I would.

I have eaten here many times over the past several years. One of my favorite things on the menu is the Papya Salad. Everything I have ordered has been a meal worth having agian, but with so many delicious meals, it is hard not to order something new every time I go.
One of the best Vietnamese I've had. I haven't read reviews but seemed like a family owned business with authentic food. The fresh garden rolls was the only one I was a little disappointed with. When it's not made to serve it gets a little sticky after a while and this felt that way. It was a little hard to separate the pieces. I had boba as well and it was the softest boba I've ever had.
Food was really good! Got food to go during busy hours. I ordered the rice place but didn’t get sauce or side of soup, everything else was on point. Would’ve given a 5 if it wasn’t for the missing items. Would still recommend!

I've ate here a few times through out the past 3 years, every time we eat their we feel the quality of the food goes down. I ordered fried rice with chicken, the chiken they gave this time was like chiken from a chicken wing (not the greatest). I will say we were sat VERY fast and our food came out quickly!
I asked locals for where to eat...they suggested this place and said it was okay since it was the Viet/Thai place around. Service was good, food was okay for the area. It wasn't up to par with what I am used to at other Vietnamese or Thai restaurants. The one high light was the Lemongrass Chicken -- that's probably the best I've had - moist and I could taste the lemongrass. The locals like it and that's all the matters.
The environment was good! The service was fast and great (even if there were a lot of to-go orders). Their pho was good! However, it couldn’t be compared to those great pho places in Bay Area! The price was lower than Bay Area tho! The disappointing part was that their lemongrass chicken didn’t really taste like chicken to me! :( Credit cards are accepted!
The atmosphere was nice, with beautiful decoration on the walls, and the staff were friendly. My boyfriend had the pho which tasted pretty good. However, I chose the vegetarian noodles, and they didn't really taste of anything, just noodles and vegetables. It came with a peanut sauce but it was very sweet and didn't pair well with the noodles. They were also out of the two things I wanted to order most, so I kind of chose it on the spot. I'd love if some more effort was put into the vegetarian dishes.

Made me pay more because they messed up my order after I had payed. Didn’t say there was no boba straw so it was super hard to drink. The girl at the order stand is never nice and I get it’s an Asian place but cmon. If you’re out of boba straws you should probably recommend to people that they get the tea without boba balls because it’s impossible they plug the normal straw immediately If you want pad Thai go to bencherongs the chicken here was sad and stiff
Someone said this is the only pho place in town, so I had to try it. I would say it's pretty average, I had the pho with brisket, tendon, and tripe- the tendon was delicious and the tripe well cooked. The noodles definetly had the bagged noodle taste. But overall, I can see the appeal, especially for students. Generous portions at a fair price.

Doesn’t taste authentic or very good at all in general. Maybe packaged? The pho broth tasted like watered chai tea, but the people were friendly and theres not really other options in this town. Disappointing but atleast it’s something?
Went in for a to-go order and felt slightly ignored or like I was bothering them. I had to grab the menu myself, and the lady at the counter was on her phone not even paying attention. The whole interaction just felt awkward. Food was good though, but they didn’t give me sriracha or anything or napkins.

We were rushed, rudely talked to, curry was very watery & lacking veggies. By the time we ordered boba they “were out” tho we just saw a boba go out to another table. Curry did have good flavor and so did the udon noodles. Liked that the peanut sauce had crushed peanuts on top.
