I can confirm that there are amazing dishes and plates of food available at most times.

It’s not bad, the food is decent, not the best, not the worst! A solid 6/10 and some days 7/10. You can eat as much as you want after paying. Faculty/staff gets a discount on fridays only where meals are $5. It’s def worth! It’s very crowded during lunch time though so I’d plan around that if you’re busy *UPDATE: price is now $7.75 for faculty and staff.. disappointed in that. Docked 2 stars off.

Food is terrible (bacon sweet donuts??), but it’s a convenient dining hall with 8 dollars per meal all you can eat. I don’t cook and I don’t need to think about what to eat. Considering the convenience and cost, I give 3 star! Missing the dining hall in summer time!
A buffet-style cafeteria with a large selection of meals and drinks. The best part? The 10 dollar entry fee. The food is okay, but it’s important to arrive early to snag a plate, because the food runs out quick.

I really want someone in a position of management to see this review, because I have been forced to pay for a meal plan because of housing for 2 years now. The cafeteria needs to pick up its act and actually COOK the food or check if its not BURNT before they send it out. Yesterday and employee DROPPED a tray of pizza on the FLOOR and put it back hoping no one noticed. I have read ither reviews as well as redit posts where the exact same thing was described. Nearly all the salad bar options were EXPIRED with BLACK SPOTS on lettuce, spinach, and tomatos. And there is an unattended BUG INFESTATION in your refrigerators by the cereal counter. The dispensers are almost always EMPTY and we still have BLUE-PINK RAW chicken breast served to us. I think serving RAW pizza and BURNT burgers are the best meal option Ive had this year in the cafeteria, other than the tacos that are only available for a few hours over lunch time. Please start taking this matter seriously, you do not need to renovate the whole cafeteria to make it better, just manage it better, hire better staff that are actually trained to make food, and fire the current management who is no where to be found when a raw chicken breast ends up in someone's plate.
Connection cafe is by far the worst dining option on campus. The whole midnight breakfast before finals week is a money making scam. We used to be able to enter with a meal swipe, now we need to pay more money. Connection cafe has served me raw meat, burnt food, and moldy bagles. The staff is rude as hell, and the management cant seem to have consistent service for students. Why does the cafeteria only have the same 5 options to choose from year around? Why does the cafeteria only serve good quality meals when there are tour groups or events on campus? Why does the cafeteria serve expired milk and salads, and undercooked food? And why are on campus residents forced to pay for a ridiculously expensive meal plan, if the food has given me food poisoning multiple times? Faculty responsible for the cafeteria have not responded to the poor conditions students have complained about and have to deal with every day, because faculty do not have to eat there every day. Hopefully they will do somethingin the near future.
there’s never decent food to consume either it’s undercooked, raw, cold, or over cooked, sometimes will have no food out !!! and it sucks because you can’t just use your swipe somewhere else because it was already used to get into the cafe !!!! why do we have to pay so much money for a meal plan and barley even get the bare minimum
My experience with connection cafe has been the WORST. I have been for breakfast and lunch here for 3 months now. Most of the time, there is nothing available to eat for breakfast by 9:30 AM itself. They do not even have fruits, salads or croissants to eat by that time. For lunch, it is usually the same menu which is repeated, which is not even worthy. The food is not at all tasty. The Tacos is the only food item which i feel is good here. I suggest they improve the quality and taste and also ensure the availability of food at all times. The service from the students has to be appreciated though.
Many things are regularly empty, for example the cold brew, ketchup, soup, ranch, etc. there’s only one trash can and it’s behind the employee counter, they serve burgers almost every day, the floors are always sticky, the tables are usually dirty, almost all of the cups and plates have little bits of food on them, the online menus are often inaccurate, and they don’t have allergens listed anywhere. Edit: I recently got the second to last slice of pizza only to find it was almost completely raw. To think almost a whole raw pizza was taken (hopefully not eaten) by guests is just disgusting.
The worst cafeteria ive ever seen. They mostly serve raw or overcooked food. Once they picked up a whole pizza from the floor and put it back for us to eat. They serve the same 5 things everyday. And they try to make everything indian food for some reason. Indian italian, indian chinese. Its a very unhygienic place.
I once went through 15+ cups just trying to find one without a visible piece of food in it (that often don't come out with a hand rinse), and the only reason I stopped is because one of the higher-up staff members started yelling at me for "contaminating" the (already disgusting) cups. She started making a scene and tried to get me kicked out (just for trying to find a visibly clean cup to use) until I had her calm down. The only good thing I can say about this place is that usually, all the staff are quite friendly. I've been eating here for over a year and a half out of necessity, and the only food close to "good" at this cafeteria are the breakfast tacos, salad bar, and occassional "Street food" restaurants that rotate in. It is a rare occurence to find a clean piece of cutlery or dish on your first try. If we're lucky, this place will get demolished and replaced with the rest of the building in the near future.
The food is always nasty, and the vegan options are tiring. Like the dish wear isn't clean and the plates aren't either.
This place is not worth the cost, the food is low quality and honestly disappointing. It is reflective of the UTA experience.
This has to be the worst cafeteria
