A little treasure trove guarded by a wonderful woman. We had the pleasure of meeting Anna, who runs this restaurant outside of the Aosta Valley, and we appreciated her human qualities and passion for cooking. We then had the opportunity to enjoy her cuisine, confirming that when love for this profession combines with the sweetness of a person, the result is truly touching dishes. We booked and requested the Bagnacauda (which she only cooks to order) with a small appetizer. The Bagnacauda was wonderful and rich with cooked and raw vegetables, and among the appetizers, the pumpkin and cabbage casserole I wished would never end. To conclude, a dessert from memory, disarmingly simple yet so good we asked for seconds: Pan Perdú with rennet apple mousse and cinnamon. An unforgettable evening in a simple restaurant that also serves as a bar in the Echallod district, which places cuisine and conviviality at its core.

We ate homemade tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and a parmesan cream. They were fantastic, as were the gnocchi with nettles and blue cheese...and bacon with chestnuts and butter! What can I say? We have to go back! I forgot to mention the friendly and helpful staff.

We found this place by chance and were pleasantly surprised!! The food is truly EXCELLENT! I had the gnocchi with Aosta blue cheese and my boyfriend had the agnolotti in walnut cream. What can I say... Both were mouth-watering 😋 Unfortunately, we're just passing through this beautiful region, but we highly recommend it!!

We had lunch on a Saturday in November, having booked the day before. There were four of us plus two children. We shared two platters of cured meats and cheeses and two plates of three different tomini cheeses with green, red, and spicy sauces. Then I had tagliatelle with mushrooms and parmesan shavings, and for dessert, the salted caramel parfait with chocolate and hazelnut sauce. It was all delicious! I particularly liked the tagliatelle with mushrooms, and the dessert was excellent too! We had a great time. The girls who served us were kind and friendly. We'll be back because I also want to try the honeyed chestnuts with lard.

We stayed nearby and stopped for lunch on our way home. Besides the very kind woman who welcomed us and who clearly enjoys her job, the place is simple and welcoming. We chose traditional dishes, and each one was better than the last. The chef is truly talented. From what we tasted, the caramelized chestnut appetizer, the potato gnocchi with Aosta blue cheese cream, the polenta concia with gorgonzola and walnuts, and finally the Cogne cream for dessert are definitely worth a try. The price is more than fair for the quality of the product and the quiet location!

On the recommendation of locals, we had the Aosta Valley snack. The dishes were delicious, plentiful, and fresh. The location is quiet, and it was a very relaxing evening. The staff was very courteous and professional. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

We discovered this great place by chance; we stopped for lunch and left satisfied. The charcuterie board was excellent, plentiful and of high quality. The caramelized chestnuts (with the inevitable lard) were delicious, and the tomini cheeses perhaps didn't quite live up to the first two courses. The first courses were all worthy and tasty, and the chestnut and caramel panna cotta for dessert (an absolute must). The staff was courteous and quick, despite the restaurant being almost full. Prices were reasonable.

A delicious lunch with traditional food. Everything was excellent: the chestnuts with honey, butter, and Arnad lard, the polenta concia, and everything else. Also perfect for a snack.

A very welcoming, traditional restaurant, after entering the bar, which initially (in my opinion) is a bit unsettling. However, the surprise in the dining room that follows is positive, which is what counts (...never stop at appearances). The cuisine is very refined, homey. You can taste and see the passion of the chef in the dishes. The wine list is excellent. The staff is very friendly.

A dinner I never miss when I'm in these parts. Typical Aosta Valley delicacies. The spicy tomini and various cured meats are incredible. The polenta concia with gorgonzola is also very good 😋. Exceptional value for money. An unpretentious place where you can eat well in complete relaxation.

Place easily accessible from the motorway. Recommended by friends we stopped at this restaurant. The quality of the cured meats is certainly high but the portions are not satisfactory. In Arnad you expect a cutting board full of stuff (especially lard) but instead the quantities are not very generous. The first courses and the snacks are decent (here too, just sufficient portions). Price in line with the quality of the raw materials, but I don't know if I would honestly go back.

Completely confused about the gluten-free option, they didn't know what did or didn't have gluten. Even asking the kitchen wasn't clear, since I was told I could eat all the main courses, and as soon as I chose one, incredibly, I couldn't eat it. As a celiac, I could only eat the set menu because there was no choice, ingredients, and allergens weren't listed. I had a beef cheek that tasted like wine, runny mash, the beef roll was roast beef with tuna sauce, the waiters were sulky, nothing positive. 94 euros for two, which was absolutely not worth it.

DO NOT ENTER those doors, osteria dell'isola. the picture of my dish can explain a reality that doesn't match the website photos. Are you an outsider, a passing by tourist? well, do not expect the same service as well as an insider, anyone who lives in the area is welcome as well as workers, forget about if you are a tourist. Arrogant people not in title to please the service. I remember this place 20 years ago and it was an excellent place to stop by. It seems like that owners have been changed and for my point of view they are not made to serve in tourism business
