Coffee Ave Astoria Reviews
We love this place! The service is always friendly. But above all we love the pastries, especially the pan de bono. Would 100% recommend!
Today this café truly saved us! I had an emergency document to print for my immigration appointment at 7 AM, and Coffee Ave offers a service called “Print With Me” and they open at 6 AM! The barista was incredibly kind and understanding. While we were printing, we ordered matcha, coffee, and muffins, and honestly, it was exactly what we needed to get through the appointment that followed. For me, it was a real New York experience; the kind you only find in a supportive community.
We actually came here to use the PrintWithMe service inside for a last-minute emergency, desperately depending on the shop opening at 6am. Someone showed up at 6am on the dot to open up and helped guide us on how to use the printing service, even assisting us with the paper even though they were busy setting up shop. It was a massive, massive relief and we couldn't be more thankful. They wished us good luck on the way out. We ordered an espresso (it was rich and strong), a matcha latte (it was great), and a blueberry muffin. Enjoyed it all!
The chai latte is seriously the best, so comforting and perfectly made. Everything else on the menu is super good too
Excellent local coffee shop. Coffee is always fresh. Also, they have pan de bono, a Colombian cheese bread. I cannot stress enough how delicious their pan de bono is.
Coffee Ave is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. The staff are always friendly, and the laid-back vibe makes it easy to relax. With plenty of seating both indoors and outside, it’s the kind of café where you can truly unwind—whether you're catching up with a friend or just enjoying some quiet time with your coffee.
Coffee Ave has one of the friendliest team I have met in the neighborhood. The quality of the coffee is great and they have a good variety of pastries/breakfast options. The only thing that could be improved is the furniture, the chairs and tables have a height that doesn't match and feels a little uncomfortable, especially at the bar.
During one of my walks around the neighborhood, I finally decided to try this small café located on the corner of quiet 34th Ave and 33 Street in Astoria. I’ve walked by a few times since they opened in late January but have never been inside until today. They have a few small café tables outside and along with some cool looking wall art. The inside is small but clean, with lots of sun exposure, and has a cool, laid back vibe. They do offer indoor seating and there are 2-3 small tables to left of the entrance as well as bar seating along the right. Even though it is a small place, it did not feel claustrophobic. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the lady behind the counter. She was so helpful and friendly. I came around 6pm and it looked like most of their pastries were already gone. I ended up ordering a couple empanadas (Hawaiian and the spinach). Both had a nice delicate, flaky crust. I really liked the Hawaiian empanada and appreciated that it was on the menu, as you do not often see this offered at other cafes. I also got the Oreo Mousse which had hazelnut praline, vanilla cream on a chocolate cake base and topped with Oreo pieces. It was wonderfully creamy, sweet and hazelnutty. The menu also offers other heartier fare like burgers, sandwiches, and salads. I really need to do another visit when they have more items out. Plus, I just realized that I did not even try any of their hot beverages…doh! As usual, I was distracted by food and forgot about ordering a beverage. That is okay though, I like supporting local businesses and Coffee Avenue is a nice addition to this neighborhood.
This place has a lot of seats. Approx 18 inside. Two love seats. Two large outdoor seating areas. Bae and I are waiting for our drinks. Freddo Espresso for bae iced latte for me. Just got it. Tastes great! Drinks are good, we did expect faster service. Just pointing it out. 7/25 - came in to do some work. Service was great. Latte and cream cheese bagel good. But....too many flies...landing on me and the place was uncomfortably hot. Too many flies. They bit up my legs!! I left minutes ago and i have bites that are burning! 9/15 came in to do a little work on the computer. Ordered a ice tea. Place was packed, they got rid of the street seating. Did find seats but the chairs from the other table were too close to where i was sitting and boxed me in. Took a while to get my ice tea but it was excellent. Freshly brewed. Worth the wait. I am bumping the overall review up a star from.2 to 3.
Went here on a whim. I got the Freddy espresso. I feel like it was just a little bit of espresso and the rest was almond milk. Service isn’t the friendliest but still polite so I’ll give them that. Coffee was just ok. And service is kind of slow. It seems like there’s a lot of menu options which is good. Again something is up with astoria food establishments because why is one number of the total due shown on the screen but another higher amount is charged on the card. Outside seating was nice. Although we only sat for a few mins before an unruly religious freak came up to us and began down right harassing us until we got up and left. Other than that it was aight.
The girl who works there is glued to her phone, takes a long time to serve customers, and provides poor service.
Good coffee, nice vibe, but terrible costumer service, I didn't get what I order then I asked to get the right order, the man that help me really nice BUT The blonde girl HORRIBLE SERVICE. I Paid for what I order IT WASN'T FREE!! I Burn myself with the coffee and She Burn herself as well.
