What can I say, best cappuccino ever!! They know their coffee. The owner seemed to be very passionate while suggesting me the drink for my day since I was inclined towards the Greek coffee but it’s like an espresso which you should sit and drink to get the best of it. Hence I decided to try their cappuccino. They seemed to have had a lot of food options too which I didn’t get a chance to try but I’m sure they all are great. I trust astoria when it comes to European style coffee + pastries. What really brought me here are the fantastic reviews and this shop lives up to it.

Stopped by before I made my way to the museum and airport. Such a lovely place. Folks working there were welcoming and lovely to talk to. The food and drink I ordered were good! If I lived here I'd def frequent this place.

Great neighborhood cafe for a cup of coffee and a nice breakfast. I love the croissant and scrambled egg breakfast sandwich with Havarti. They have a nice little patio set up out front, where you can enjoy your coffee on a nice day.

Very nice cafe. Verra and Eleni who run the place are friendly. Crossaints are freshly baked. Tuna salad is simple & tasty and their eggs sandwich is delicious. A nice hang out. Love to go there and support small business owners.

A true neighborhood gem. Helmed by a mother/daughter team who are long time Astorians. The staff know the names and orders of their regulars and everything is made to order fresh. The homemade banana bread is divine (ask for caramel drizzle!).

Sweet Scene created the most delicious and lovely cupcakes for our Gender Reveal Party last weekend! Eleni was prompt and communicative from the beginning to end of the planning process, always answering any questions I had. I would go back to them in a heartbeat to get the Sweets for ANY event - thank you Sweet Scene, you truly made a memory all the more Sweet for our growing Family!

I love it here! So comfortable and the owners are great- friendly, witty, and caring people. It's like the coffee shop version of Cheers!! Mostly go for an espresso but when I don't want caffeine, they also have a great decaf espresso, which is hard to find. The Greek Frappe and Frozen Hot Chocolate with a shot of espresso are amazing treats too. Breakfast recommendation- Eggs w/ Feta + Bacon. Lunch recommendation- Avocado or Tuna salad or any of the sandwiches on baguette. They now have beer and wine, so there's no reason to not go there. I recommend the Greeks- whatever the cabernet that starts with an 'O' is delish and Fix beer is refreshing!!

This is a very wonderful cafe. I’ve been coming here for just over a year and I am always pleased. The food is home cooked and always fresh. Eleni and Vera always have a smile. The space makes me feel like I’m going into my grandmothers kitchen, which brings back so many beautiful memories.

Cute little bistro with great pastries and small meals. Their coffee was great and my breakfast croissant was delicious (freshly baked, and perfectly flaky!). The woman working was super nice and accommodating, and made great suggestions when I wasn't sure what I wanted. They have a few little outdoor tables, which was perfect for a quick stop.

Truly local coffee spot with a mother and daughter duo running operations. Lattes are excellent and I love getting the Spaniard panini and croissant every so often. You can’t go wrong. Great atmosphere-totally cute and neighborhood-y! Small and home-y, comfortable, aesthetically stunning. I was able to focus and get work done, enjoy my Arnold Palmer (which had many options of tea and sweetening) and my baguette with butter and honey for less than $8! They let me leave my stuff while I went on a walk around the block during slower hours. So sweet like the name <3 Loved it :)

There were two ladies running it and they were very nice. I was in the neighborhood for an American Ballet Theater, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School event at Frank Sinatra School of The Arts. I was so happy to find this place nearby. I had their delicious avocado toast. But even better, was their cold brew coffee. WOW, WOW this coffee was so good, that I came back at lunch for more. My little one had their breakfast croissant 3 times and was very happy. So, if you must hang around for an entertainment production, stop here and get some coffee and a treat.

Amazing place. So invited. You walk in and it feels like family. The staff, especially the owner, are all wonderful. I go there with my 1 year old daughter and always get the vegan Spinach pie. OMG sooooo freaking good. I can eat so many of them but I restrict myself to one. Even my daughter loves it. She gets so happy when we stroll on into the cafe because she knows what that means. I hope to try other items but just can’t let go of that spinach pie. Ugh so good lol

The best service I’ve received is directly from the owners. They are extremely friendly and attentive to their customers. Always an excellent experience when I come here. Genuine local effort for great coffee and sandwiches. Don't go if you are in a rush, it does take a bit more time than a Starbucks.

Spent a pleasant, unusually warm, winter afternoon here at their outdoor setup with a delicious piece of banana bread and a coffee. Even ran into a friend of mine from the hood, as he was passing by. We had a pleasant conversation. All in all, it was more about the experience, but I would return here to partake in their other treats. I think next time I'll try a cappuccino.

Worth it just for the banana bread. Coffee was also really good nice little local place to sit. However, steer away from the breakfast sandwiches, they're as big as a carrot from a bad harvest.

Really small cute place. I liked the hot chocolate. The French sandwich with Brie was really tiny for the price. The service was okay, they don't greet you when you come in. It's a small place and the counter is near the door, they see the customers walk in and still remain silent like you're not even there.

I absolutely love this place but only giving it 3 stars cause its wildly inconsistent with its opening. No explanation at all, just closes on random days. Please fix. Dont want to take our business to Coffee Ave.

Extremely overpriced with tiny bite-size sandwiches or toast. The coffee is decent, but we were astounded by the price of the food compared to the size of what you get. Don't go in hungry!

We loved that the place is dog friendly and staff seem friendly. We live in Clinton Hill BK and of course expect to pay $10 and up for tiny sandwiches and salads — but we also expect a basic modicum of quality. My salad was literally 1-2 handfuls of wilted / nearly-gone-off greens, with a bit of Parmesan and actually-rotten avocado, and absolutely drowned in what seemed like Trader Joe’s (or worse) bottled “balsamic” dressing. I was starving and accidentally bit into some of the avocado and nearly gagged; realized almost all of the avocado on my salad was black / dark brown. Can’t imagine how the woman who took our order and then prepared my salad right behind the counter didn’t notice this when serving it, and she was nice about offering more avocado (which she threw on top of my drowning leaves and bits of rotten avocado) but we won’t be back.

Nice food. Great coffee. Very, very rude staff. They have tables outside now which is nice but on a recent visit when I asked if they would dry off an outside table and chair so that I could sit one of the Rudes handed me paper towels. I think they were somewhat surprised when I said as it's your business you should dry up. The Rudes made the older lady on staff do it. Disappointing really as I always support the place. Oh well!

The flavor was weak, the oat milk wasn’t well textured, and overall the drink felt a bit underwhelming—especially given the price. I’m sure other items on the menu are great—especially given the many many positive reviews—but with so many excellent cafes popping up around Astoria and Long Island City, the bar is quite high for cappuccinos. She was berating the owner from the moment she stepped in the door and was blatantly scolding her in a loud and rude tone. The daughter took over the shift while the owner was outside and during this time, a painting from the wall fell off (I didn't move at all) and the wood frame landed right on my head. What did the daughter do? Showed zero concern. She walked over, said "oh, sorry," hid the frame, then walked back behind the counter. You'd think if I got hit in the head with a piece of wood, I'd AT LEAST get an "are you okay," but at most I'd be offered a pastry or something. Nope. We left right afterwards with a bad taste in our mouths. 2nd visit: The owner was training a new person, this time a young man. I can understand why it's a revolving door given the rudeness I witnessed the first time. Ordered the usual lunch and coffee. My boyfriend stepped out to get a gyro plate down the street and when he returned, he tried to take a quick bite while the plate was still in the bag. All we hear is, "DON'T DO THAT, DON'T DO THAT!" The voice sounded like it was wrangling pre-school children. We looked up and she yelled it again. We immediately left. It's alright if it was a rule that was being enforced, no hard feelings about that. I think it was the blatant unprofessionalism, plus the first experience we had, that prompted me to write this review. I really feel that if they were kinder, this would be a 4/5 or 5/5 cafe. And maybe if you're popping in for a quick pastry or coffee, it is a 5/5 experience. But if you sit around long enough, I guarantee you will not have a good experience. I speculate that's probably why it's always empty inside, even though it's a lovely cafe...

We thought about trying a cookie, but the pastries didn’t look totally fresh, so we passed. Perhaps it was because it was towards the end of the day. I’m sure other items on the menu are great—especially given the many many positive reviews—but with so many excellent cafes popping up around Astoria and Long Island City, the bar is quite high for cappuccinos. We have choices, and unfortunately, this one didn’t stand out.

Decent staff. Came here with my boyfriend, he says he saw a roach by the counter. I was absolutely disgusted and ended up throwing away the food we had already bought.
