Delicias Caleñas Astoria Reviews
I love coming to this spot when I’m in Astoria. Their “pan de bono” is fantastic. The food is good too. Alejandra took care of my to go order. She was fast and courteous.
Don't let the small space fool you. Food is good, tasty and hearty.
The food was delicious and the service excellent by the lady named LUDY I RECOMMEND THE PLACE 💯 %THANK U SO MUCH.!!!🙏🙏🙏
This restaurant is one of my favorites because it reminds me of my Colombian roots and especially because of the service of the waitress Catherine, she makes me feel at home with her kindness and attention. So I invite you to try the wonders of this restaurant and its excellent customer service.
This is my go-to spot for Colombian food! I’m a regular and always get takeout—the food is consistently good and authentic. Claudia is always friendly and makes my experience even better. Highly recommend!
Catherine is so nice and welcoming. She and her fellow coworkers make the atmosphere great! And the food is delicious. One of Astoria’s best spots.
Small place but the girls here are very attentive.I always come.here to get chicken empanadas in the morning for my kids breakfast she loves ❤️ the chicken empanadas, and also and the weekends. Both Claudia's are great 👍 love there energy very friendly 👏 will recommend to come here atmosphere very great food excellent and the empanadas beyond anything 😀
My girlfriend has been bringing me food from this spot for the past two months and we eat it 5 times a week! Today I finally went in and AGAIN the food was freaking amazing!!! The employee was also great! And didn’t make a big deal if I wanted extra. Affordable hot homemade meal! Such a new fan 🙌
The chicharron was very different to mexican style chicharron, but was so good! The outside was crispy, but juicy inside with plenty of meat. This was my first time having an arepa. I got the chicharron and it was delicious. The chicharron was cut up with a tomato and chile sauce. I ordered through door dash very close to closing time and all my things were hot and fresh. I was expecting them to not approve the order.
Excellent customer service, especially in the morning time. The two girls in the morning make you feel welcome and coffee is excellent.
Nice little bakery, but they asked me for an extra .50 for a to go container. This wasn't posted anywhere and the first time I've been asked this. When I asked about it (and paid) they were rude.
I wind up here once a week or once every couple weeks when I don't want to cook lunch. I like it because you can get a real plate of decently healthy food at a reasonable price, but being honest, nothing is particularly good. It's just standard steam table stuff. The ladies who work there are also all nice and it's always clean.
They charge 1 thing 1 day and charge a different price another day
Honestly, I work in the area and I used to go here all the time for my lunch. Food is pretty good, but suddenly the staff started forcing you to get soup with your food and if you don’t want it, you still pay the same price. I went in for a regular plate of food with rice and beans and one meat. That used to be a decent price and the lady told me that she was still charging me $18, whether I take the soup or not. Since when did they start forcing people to get soup? This was one of my go to places to get some good food for a reasonable price, but I guess that’s not possible anymore.
I went to get Empanadas. I asked for 3 chicken and 3 shrimp. I asked if they have shrimp and the young lady confirmed. The gave me 3 chicken and 3 beef. I was highly disappointed with the incorrect order and also the way in which the empanadas were made. They had potatoes in them. Very disappointing.
the take out food is always in bad conditions they don’t ever check the expiration date for the products or they let them last too much time without the proper care, the people who takes you are always in a rush or without feeling the good service,
I stopped by to get snacks. I ordered chicken empanadas and stuffed pastry buñuelos I was so disappointed !empanadas were hard and dry the chicken was bland the buñuelos were also hard, dry, and greasy the bag was covered in grease Very disappointed as I love Colombian pastries worst I’ve tasted .
