Delicious Sangritas!! You must try it, at least once. They have a variety of foods to pick from as well. Nice place to go and have some drinks if you’re around at night.
Oh man, their guacamole is amaze. Def worth it and big portion. The Shepard's style mac n cheese is good if you're craving something cheesy and meaty. Their frozen prickly pear margaritas DEF recommend! Love coming here for happy hour. My girlfriends also love their frozen sangrias. Super chill vibe. If you come here around 4/5 it's quiet.
Great food, staff is amazingly friendly. From the outside it looks small, but inside its huge and properly decorated. The manager is very accommodating, "franky", there is an expansive outdoor seating too.
Usually go early for brunch. We came a little later this time around. Music was on point. It was packed. Overall great vibe. I will say since it's so much busier in the afternoon and you choose the bottomless option, make sure your server is attentive because you will wait and lose out on potential drinking time, which would be an absolute shame. ;) Sangrita and Maragaritas FTW!
the. Very tasty food and drinks, the waitress Stephanie is very nice, I loved the attention, 100% recommended
I was amazed by the food and service. I ordered the Mexican cob salad and it was a lot better than expected. Wow! I’m still thinking about this salad. My brother had the shrimp with rice.
authentic food , great meal portions, cool music . Recommend the beef burrito, avocado is fresh. Vibe is great for date , fun with friends.

I really enjoy the food here and the drinks. They have both a breakfast menu and dinner lunch menu. I'm sad I didn't get food pics because I was so hungry. The drinks however are just as tasty! Back again...this is probably a go to spot for me in my neighborhood! I bring everyone here when they come to visit me because the food is tasty and the staff there are so friendly every time I come. This time we went for Happy Hour and I'm not sure the Bartenders name but he recommended the cheecake dessert and he was legit not lying it was so delicious. Never had a meal here I didn't enjoy and the vibes are always chill.
Bottomless mimosa/margaritas with a meal for $40??? Don't have to tell me twice!!! Great atmosphere. Food was delicious. The side of maduros is also plentiful! Thoroughly enjoyed this place. Will be back. They also are very clean and take covid-19 restrictions seriously. They check your temperature at the door.
Amazing environment. Efrain was as best as it comes, very attentive attention to detail. A must come especially on Thier Sunday 1-6 pm unlimited brunch. Overall one of the best experiences. Live DJ, great food, indoor and outdoor. Come have a great time. Liz greeted me and ensured an smooth amazing afternoon. 10 stars if I could!
I have not been to this restaurant in Yearrrrrrssssss but definitely enjoyed it with friends last month. Their bottomless brunch is AMAZING! Do not drive because you will feel your drinks lol. Our driver did not drink. The food is delicious, the guacamole is phenomenal and again the drinks are well worth it. If you park on the street at a meter, download the NYC Meter Application so you will not have to run back and forth to feed the meter. Oh, I also appreciate that they check temperatures at the door. Safety first :-)
Brunch was awesome! Food was great, bottomless drinks for 1.5 hours was on point! Staff was friendly. Don’t remember our waitress name but she was awesome! Def recommend checking it out!
We were a party of 4 and for 2 of is it was our first time here. It’s in a great location, very close to the N & W train. Food, drinks, service, cost and atmosphere were all excellent. I highly recommend it.
If you've never been here before, you need to go ASAP! I've been here for brunch 3 times and have not been disappointed once. To start off, the food is delicious and you get a pretty decent portion. We ordered the guacamole in the molcajete. It was tasty but it didn't have any spice which is probably why they give you a few different bottles of pepper sauce. I think I always get the same thing, which is the southwestern breakfast burrito. Always filling and oh man is the chorizo home fries to die for 😋 Now let's talk about the real reason we go to brunch...the drinks are killer amazing!!! I can't say it enough, you must try the sangrita! Yes you read correctly, sangria plus margarita equals deliciousness in a glass😊 The margaritas and sangria are also just as good and will ensure you are sufficiently enebriated by the time your 2 hour time limit is up 🤗 There is also a live dj there during brunch and if you're celebrating your birthday, he'll shout you out and he even takes requests 🥳 Before covid they used to do a congo line with all of the birthday parties. Probably won't be seeing that anytime soon 😞 All in all this place is definitely worth checking out 🙂
My boyfriend knew about this place. A Friday afternoon brunch was more than good eats. The environment is very chill brunch.. the space was huge. I could only imagine what Sunday brunches looked like (definitely on our list to do) off to the food. I got the southwest huevos rancheros with steak and my boyfriend got the grilled steak and eggs. Everything was popping hot and filled with flavor. The eggs were cooked to a perfect medium on both dishes. The green chili was spot on. The food was great but the icing on the cake was something I’d never heard of until I ate here. They serve a drink called sangrita. It’s a frozen margarita and sangria mixed. Hands down the most genius move. For me, that’s the piece of this place that stands out and would make me keep coming back. I don’t think I can truly review the essence without have brunch but for now enjoy this one and I’ll follow up when I stumble in for brunch.
I came here for cinco de Mayo and was VERY impressed. The portions were amazing and the food was well done! I had the calamari and guacamole bowl to start — the appetizers are big enough to feed at least 3-4 guests and delicious. Me and my friend shared the shrimp and steak tacos — the tacos were super flavorful and jam packed. The best tacos I’ve had in a long time from a restaurant! My waiter was attentive, pleasant, and very kind. I will be returning to this place!
Whent with some friends to celebrate my birthday. love that they let us do brunch at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. Food was excellent and drinks we're great the bartender I forgot his name..tall slim guy was super nice and very attentive. The crowd was nice and the music was great! Will definitely come back!
My absolute favorite spot for brunch. Everything is delicious, don't know what kinda sorcery but everything is delicious... No complaints at all except on hot days the front of the restaurant can get a bit toasty lol. Closer to the center seems to be the ideal region during scorchers... But it was still fun. Will definitely be going back.
Awesome place, nice staff and affordale dishes. There drinks are very good and also priced very well. The food taste great as well as their own beer. They have a great happy hour menu, highly recommended it.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and ty he bottomless brunch. The waiter times it let's you know when it's last round so you are not caught off guard
I was surprised by the place, super big and even with a very beautiful exterior!! delicious mexican food, we ordered a guacamole and quesadilla (I forgot to take a picture, lol), great drinks. excellent find, recommend.
Food is great, I ordered empanadas, a chicken sandwich , guacamole and chips along with a protein breakfast. Delicious!
Mediocre service, but good food and great happy hour prices. Happy hour $5-7 drinks: all summer, every day including weekends...which is a great offering in Astoria!
Good food and drinks. Affordable bottomless brunch option available for only $39.95 or one prix fixe entree and a brunch drink for only $19.95.
The food I'd give a 3 out of 5. We ordered the sliders which I thought was an appetizer but it came with fries. Mojave wings, which was essentially a Buffalo wing, they were good. Chicken tacos and fish tacos which could've used a little more seasoning. The mussels were delicious but came with a handful of closed ones which shouldn't have been served to us so they were nice enough to replace it with the shrimp dish because the mussels were done for the evening. The shrimp dish though was overcooked. While we did enjoy the guac and chips, it had a very strange consistency and color and we added more salt to our liking. THE MARGARITAS ARE STRONG and I liked that. And the Sangarita was tasty too. We had a good time, considering the pandemic restrictions. Service started off a little too slow but got better. We were on the back patio, in winter, but there was a fireplace and we were warm. Tables had partitions between them. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful so I'd love to come back when restrictions are lifted.
Ate here a couple of times and I’ve always enjoyed their appetizer of steak nachos, chicken fajitas & their frozen margaritas. But unfortunately I came here after it opened during the pandemic and it didn’t sit well with stomach! I def don’t suggest their mac & cheese..had no taste and I didn’t enjoy it at all. I still highly suggest their fajitas, nachos & frozen margaritas! Their music is always good and the waiter we had recently was by far the best service I have ever gotten there!
Ordered from New Year’s Prefix lunch menu today 1/1/22. Selection of food was very good. Food was tasty and good. Our servers Lizbeth and Jorge were very attentive and professional The deco, music very nice too!
I loved this brunch place in Astoria!! The food was great. Highly recommend bottomless sangrita, French toast and chillaquile!!! The place is great in summer as you can be seated outside and the place is really good for large parties!
The environment is nice with good service. I like their brunch selections. My steak, eggs & potatoes was delish. I will eat here again.
This place had outdoor seating in both the front of its business and they have a back patio. Great for social distancing during this time. I enjoyed a cold beer and some tacos. Waiter was pleasant and attentive.
I had an amazing time with friends at Mojave. The food is good, definitely try the steak tacos. The server was nice and the restaurant is beautiful, clean, and spacious. If you are ever in Astoria this is a place to come and enjoy.
Food & Drinks were Great! Everyone I came across was extremely Friendly & welcoming. I'm excited to try their Brunch! (Dinner menú Not 2 many options for me since I dnt eat red meat or seafood) My Chicken Tacos were very good though & Everyone in my party Loved their dishes + awesome presentation.
Great service, outdoor area is so beautiful and big, it feels authentic. Music great. Drinks were okay, I had a frozen margarita that tasted a lot like artificial lemon and a mezcal margarita. Ordered the stake nachos, very big portion. The guacamole was excellent and fresh.
Great brunch spot with a live DJ on the weekends! With a good amount of options! The brunch can be a little expensive $35 just for the brunch drinks.
I came here for a birthday get together on a sunday for brunch. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was pretty good as well. They had a DJ and the business was pretty consistent. The drinks were made pretty well and the only real complaint I had was it took a pretty decent amount of time for me to get my first drink but other than that I enjoyed my time here.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was spot on! I highly recommend the macaroni and cheese with brisket and the sangrita cocktail! Although the service was a bit slow, overall Mojave was a very good experience.
Best Bar Happy Hour Ditmars has to offer. $5 Margaritas on the rocks are underpriced in the best ways. I prefer to add passion fruit to mine for an extra $1. Highly recommend the Sangrita (house sangria with frozen margarita) in the summer, as well as the house jalapeño tequila for those of you adventurous enough to try it! Also - food here is amazing, but for a steal, the bar happy hour bites are all phenomenal. Favorites of mine include the nachos and the cowboy kisses!
Food was great. Service was a little slow , but my biggest issue was the BATHROOM. The first bathroom had a clogged sink and toilet , paper everywhere and smelled like a subway bathroom. Second bathroom was a little better but still smelly and messy.
The drinks were amazing. The atmosphere was just what should be the norm everywhere. The food options were mediocre, but that could be my fault for thinking it was a full on southwest Mexican cuisine
The drinks were okay, not so great. Had frozen margaritas and on the rocks. The food was really good. We ordered bomb buffalo bites as an appetizer, had the burrito bowl, enchiladas suizas and quesadilla carne asada. It was pretty loud and couldn’t hear each other or make conversation.
Mediocre- average food, not a very lively experience on a Friday night. My taco bowl was bland, and we got our drinks after our food. More exciting options await in Astoria.
It was nice place, service was good, good food but mashed potatoes wasnt good at all and main course was kind of cold, otherwise everything was good beside bathroom was dirty....
Food and Drinks with Style, very spacious patio and Friendly staff. They have good cocktails and overall dishes, but not that fresh food. Chips were old for example. Salsas are pretty decent. And cocktails look great. They have good design in the layout of the food but it's not that tasty, I'll dare to say the portions are adequately to the price. Which I consider to be on the range of some upscale places in Manhathan, but this is by Ditmars subway station. Design/atmosphere = 8 Food = 6 Drinks = 9 Staff = 7 Price = 7 RATE: 7
My wife and I came for a birthday brunch on a Sunday. I really wanted to give them 5 stars for the food alone, I really did. I gave them 2 for the simple fact that this is not a good place for large groups. The staff was clearly overwhelmed and we waited an hour for our food. The staff did make an effort to serve us though. That being said, the food was great and the drinks too. I had the Cochinita Pibil Benedict and the sangria. Would come back but with a small group next time.
Drinks were good and music was good but the service was slow and I ordered A filet mignon that was drenched in some type of wine sauce but it was not on the menu and the sauce was terrible . I also don’t like my steak drenched in sauce … I had to move my steak on to another plate . Didn’t want to wait another 30 mins to order a fresh steak . I did not enjoy my steak .
If you're eating inside rather than outside, service is not that great. We waited so long for our meal that we ended up having to tell them to pack it to go as soon as they came out with it. We tried to cancel but they said we couldn't. There were dirty tables everywhere. They only seem to clean them when they were seating people there. We sat next to this dirty table the entire time we were there and still wasn't clean when we left. This was not that bad compared to the others across from us. To conclude, service sucked, place was dirty, Food was good.
Really poor service as my friend got a bacon in his food when he specifically asked to not include bacon as he is a vegetarian. He ended up eating a bacon and it was religious sentiment for him. They didn't even offer a refund for his order. When they reordered the dish, they still didn't listen to the instructions of not bringing the fries and guac. Really poor service and customer experience.
Ok. I’ve struggled with this place and the review of this place. I want to love it as it used to be really good…. but after multiple dine in experiences and delivery orders, I have to call it. Not GOOD!! 1. I ordered food on my birthday last April and it never showed up. I contested my credit card payment. 2. The food has gotten progressively more expensive (I have no issue with this) and progressively worse (I have issues). 3. The drinks in house are not great but ok. 4. I ordered a chicken pot pie for delivery and got stew.. see the pics. I also ordered tequila gulf shrimp and they came in a weird sauce and the tequila wasn’t cooked off so it burned. But also, if your shrimp is in a stew you should add that to the menu description. 5. In the menu description of the pot pie it says that it comes with a crust. Where’s the crust dude? Look at the picture!!! Even if the crust was soft from delivery containers I would have accepted. All in all.. decent place for a cheap mediocre margarita during happy hour.. not worth the time and money I have spent… and I’ve literally spent a minimum of 400 to 500 a month in the last year.. calling it quits now..
Who deep fries French toast? We went for friend’s birthday after not going for almost a year because the first time my wife and I went, a woman literally had her dog eating from the same plate and when asked if she can leave or is that something normal that they do, they ignored us and refused to ask her to leave. Nonetheless, second time going there and it was horrible, we ordered several different plates and it was all bad. The alcohol is cheap and made a few of us sick; we had bottomless mimosas and margaritas. Try to avoid at all costs.
