Mosaic Astoria Reviews
Loved this cozy and dimly lit bar with ample seating options. Millennial hipster music was playing and I loved it. The drinks were incredible! Loved the green envy especially, and the house shots. Service was good. Definitely a local gem.
Astoria’s best kept secret. Fantastic cocktails, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and satisfying small bites. It has been my go-to spot for meeting friends and dates for a decade.
Love this place. Super low-key and cozy. Almost like if a speakeasy and your cool friend’s living room had a baby. Great spot to grab a cocktail without all the loud, annoying energy. Drinks are actually really good and the bartenders are awesome. Also, they have this cute little outdoor area when the weather’s nice. If you’re looking for a spot to catch up with friends or just decompress after work, this is it.
I have never felt so compelled to leave a review. This place is amazing for cozy sit and talk or be at bar. The bartender Lisa was sooooooo good to us. Not only she help me pick my selection and suggested food, completely so good! This is what deserves a great tip and the satisfaction of giving the tip. We love Mosaic - such a gem in the neighborhood! Staff is a hardworking group of professional, friendly, and talented mixologists. Go early or make a reservation because it does get busy. Love the chill vibe and drink variety/creativity. Great place for a quick bite or to relax with friends or a date. Or take a seat at the bar and enjoy a conversation with Lisa, Amos, or Liam - kind people who are welcoming and fun!
Been here several times. Always great beer and great service. Brought my coworkers here for after work drinks and they loved it. We sat outside, it was very nice and chill. Perfect for those of us who want to talk and not talk over loud music or an environment that makes it difficult to converse.
A great craft beer bar to grab a delicious beers. They have a couple of beers on tap and many bottles & cans available. Unfortunately they don't offer flights, it would be nice to be able to try more different beers. The atmosphere was great and the staff kind. We had a great time here and would definitely come again.
They were busy on a Saturday afternoon (rightly so) but was able to accommodate our group of 4 without a reservation. The interior is cozy, staff is friendly, and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend the French lavender for something fresh and gin-based, or the chocolate mezcal for something Smokey and a little heavier on the palate. The spinach dip was fantastic and we scooped up every last bit; deviled eggs was a bit heavy on the mustard. All in all, a pleasant experience.
Amazing bar/restaurant with delicious cocktails, great beer, and good food. The staff are super friendly and decor inside is awesome. Comfy couches to sit on, or sit outside along the quiet Astoria back-streets. Worried about being cold? Don’t! These space heaters keep you warm even on the sub-30 days.
Very nice & lively spot in northern Astoria. Found my way here this weekend and had a pleasant time. The space was near capacity from the time I walked in around 8pm up until I left around 1130pm. Their drink menu includes a rotating selection of beers on their ten draft taps, a fairly extensive selection of bottled beers (I would estimate 20-30 kinds), a modest selection of wine, and a menu of specially cocktails that utilize some interesting techniques like smoked woods, singed citrus zest, and house-made tinctures. They serve a modest selection of appetizers and finger foods from their behind-bar prep kitchen such as meat & cheese platters and homemade guacamole & chips. On the negative, the music volume was constantly pretty high, causing the ambient conversation level to be equally high. Personally, I did not like the smells of the seasonal hot cider drinks because they were very strong around the part of the bar I was sitting at; but otherwise it wasn't an issue when away from the bar.
Fantastic drinks and a great atmosphere! The food was solid — I’d definitely recommend the cheese board and the fig and arugula flatbread. It’s an ideal spot for a first date: cozy, stylish, and not too loud. That said, the service could use some improvement. We were brought the wrong dishes twice. We didn’t touch them since we knew they weren’t ours, but the staff didn’t do much to acknowledge or apologize for the mix-up. What’s more concerning is that it seemed like they may have taken the untouched dishes and served them to another table. If that’s the case, it feels a little unsanitary — after all, how could the waiter be sure we hadn’t interacted with the food? Overall, I’d still go back, but I hope they tighten up the service and food handling protocols.
