Astoria No.1 Astoria Reviews
I ordered take out and was pleasantly surprised how quickly they had everything ready! I tried the chicken broccoli, fried chicken w/ fried rice, and general tsao's chicken (last one being my favorite). It's up there with Chinese food places I've been to. If I could give them 6 stars for service I would. Will be returning soon.

I adore this place. They are consistently delicious, fresh, take special requests seriously, and their spicy food is actually spicy. It's been so long since I've had actual spicy General Tsao's chicken. Only dish I don't recommend is the mapo tofu but everything else is stellar.
Our local go-to Chinese food spot. We’ve ordered from here for over a year and have never had a bad meal! Great food and service.
I come here for their beef with broccoli, hot and sour soup, and General Tso's chicken! The beef with broccoli is some of the best I've had - succulent beef, tasty sauce, and good broccoli. The hot and sour soup is full of delicious ingredients (like mushrooms, bamboo shoot slices, and tofu) and is warm, fragrant, and perfectly sour and with a kick of heat. The General Tso's chicken has a nice crunch to the chicken breading and nice and sweet sauce. There's basically no seating, but I always get it to go. I've tried their fried crab sticks and they weren't the best, so I wouldn't exactly recommend them. Egg roll is decent and standard. Would recommend this store! Great price too.
This review is specifically for their fried chicken wings which are damn tasty. Ngl some stuff on the menu is mid, but the fried chicken wings + rice + the triple green jade is on my regular dinner rotation. The pepper steak is also solid. Simple seasoning but real tender. Sweet and sour chicken is hit or miss, but hits often enough that I'll probably gamble & order it again at some point when I'm craving it. My girlfriend didn't like the bone-in pork ribs. I'd pass on the soups.
The Only Place I Order My Chinese Food From. The Best Hands Down In Astoria & Fast Friendly Customer Service Always Makes Me Feel Welcomed & Thanks Me For Coming Back
Food is so good........first I ordered from here on thanksgiving because my local was closed but I luv this place even more than my original place. Food is so good thank u sooo much!!!!!!!!!!
Can’t expect much from these types of shops for food normally. But this place has good quality chicken and the rice is always divine. Feels homemade and fresh every time! Don’t feel like crap after either! Very tasty. I go at least once a week
Food is very good and freshly made when you order it! They give you A LOT so you're definitely getting your money's worth. The food is a great price as well. If you go in person instead of delivery you can grab your own amount of sauces, so recommend folks to go in person. Highly recommend. Run by a local family, support your small businesses!
I don’t normally review, but I think this time Id like to share my experience. This place is definitely the best Chinese fast food restaurant in the neighborhood they are fast with the delivery never ever have they misplaced an order or forgot an item, sometimes they talk fast and some perceive them as rude but they are just busy, and their service is great. I highly recommend. Oh and the chicken wings and pork fried rice is amazing and also those veggie dumplings yum stuff !!
I don’t usually expect much difference between Chinese take out places. But the food here is so freaking good. I’ve been coming here at least a couple times a week.

I loved the crunch on the orange chicken and the soft white rice but I didn't want duck sauce or soy sauce I only wanted hot sauce there was only one packet but other than that, this food was good!

The best pork egg roll I've ever had and I was born and raised in NY.Their general tso chick was amazing!! The egg roll was soft, full of meat that was actually well seasoned..10 stars no doubt!!
Very scrumptious food, enjoyed the sesame chicken combo platter, egg roll was delicious indeed. Fast service!

This review is based solely on their chicken & broccoli. My first impression was that the gravy / sauce is way too thick which means they use too much cornstarch. Taste wise, the dish has good flavor but the sauce just was not done well. The chicken was cut into these little pieces like it was meant for little children. In case anyone was wondering, I arrived to pickup my order just as my dish was coming off of the wok so it was not sitting around.

The food is good, but the extra $1 charge for card payment is excessive. Also the gratuity on the receipt feels mandatory.

Legitimately disgusting. Ordered beef with aubergines in garlic sauce combo with pork egg roll and pork fried rice. Also got 4 fried chicken wings. Beef dish was sour so hopefully only heartburn and not food poisoning. Wings and pork roll tasted of bad frying oil. Threw everything out. Unfortunately 0 is not an option for rating. Receipt for proof of purchase.
Poor service, mean cashier lady. Food wasn’t tasty!
I ordered online just to get my order withheld because I didn’t tip via online. Very rude lady aswel
The food order was old the ribs tasted horrible and the rice was hard don't waste your money
I placed a takeout order for two shrimp rolls and beef and broccoli. When I got home, I discovered that the beef and broccoli had no beef in it! I called the store, and the cashier said they would send a new order to my home but would charge me extra because they had only charged me for the shrimp rolls and broccoli. This is the first and last time I will ever order from here.
