The Bakery is beautiful and the workers are very kind. I came in for a birthday cake and they asked themselves if I wanted happy birthday with my name written on it and the lady who wrote on it even put hearts on the bottom!! It came out very pretty and I loved it

Coffee and tea were so good. Got a gingerbread latte and a chamomile tea as well as lemon meringue and chocolate. Loved it here and would 11/10 recommend.

I wish I got make pictures because wow! Amazing shop, great staff and friendly ambiance. It felt very much like community, and it felt like most people knew each other there. The almond cookie was unbelievably fresh and soft, the baklava is soaked in juicy flavors and the leek pie was crispy and stuffed. Prices are extremely reasonable.

I got a large tiramisu cake (i asked for it to be made with no alcohol and no gelatin) for my wedding and omggg everyone loved it so much they were all asking where it was from!!!! It was the perfect size and exactly how i wanted it to be (i added an acrylic topper). The price was also really great! I recommended it to everyone :)

I recently visited this bakery café and was pleasantly surprised by how warm and inviting it felt the moment I walked in. The pastries were incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor — you can tell they’re made with real care. The coffee was smooth and well-balanced, perfect to enjoy alongside a sweet treat. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better, especially Jeta. The cozy atmosphere, delicious baked goods, and great service make this place an easy favorite. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I absolutely adore this bakery. I live up the street and it's my FAVORITE place to stop for a cortado or a mocha, and a CANNOLI. The cannolis are OUTSTANDING, but so are all the deserts they prepare. And the staff are wonderful. You can tell the place is special because they always have a lot of people, regulars who they know, sitting and talking until they close. Thanks to New York Bakery!!!

I’ve been coming to New York Bakery Café for years now, and it never disappoints! The staff are always warm and welcoming you can tell they truly care about their customers. Everything here tastes fresh, from the pastries to the coffee, which is honestly one of the best I’ve had in Queens.

This is my favorite bakery in Astoria (even NY) if I might say. The service and the taste are impeccable! Jeta is amazing, she accommodated me super last minute with a cake for almost 30 people. She ensured I will have a birthday cake no matter what. I couldn’t thank her enough! The team are great and I have been getting my birthday cakes from here for three years in a row. Absolutely love it!

Ever since I moved to Astoria Queens, I’ve been coming to this place for the last six years. I understand that there’s other bakeries out there but nothing like this place. Every time I come here, I feel greeted by staff. I feel very accommodated and spoiled. Everything is always made fresh and can we talk about the coffee for a second amazing! The music is relaxing, and the place is clean! Jeta is a gem to have here! I feel like she is the engine that keeps this place running and runs it with such love and care for the customers. Whenever you have a chance, don’t walk, run here!

I have been to this bakery several times and have never been disappointed in the pastries or the service. They have a wide variety of homemade pastries that are so delicious I never know which one to choose. Jeta is very helpful in picking out something delicious for me. Today it was the berry Napoleon. Mmmm! Highly recommended!

Have been going here a while because my wife loves their carrot cake and other pastries. I’m not a huge sweets fan so don’t really know how to gauge but we went yesterday with my dad and the sweets were a little mixed. The Galaktoboureko was amazing and the turnover was a little bit dry. The ambiance is great-lots of old Greek dudes sitting around drinking espresso all day.

I keep seeing people say this place is Greek, but since I only order delivery, I’ve never seen them in person—though I highly doubt it. Based on their menu, I’d guess the owners might be from the Middle East. They offer a selection of Turkish/Middle Eastern desserts, which I ordered from Uber Eats tonight. Now, desserts are desserts, of course, but as a Turkish person, I know how they’re supposed to taste and look in Turkey and the surrounding region. And come on now… the only reason I would think they’re Greek is probably because they put cinnamon in ekmek kadayıfı! I’ll get to that in a moment. (And if they are Greek—guys, you already own the entire history of humanity, so maybe leave Middle Eastern desserts to the people who actually make them best? Just kidding… kind of. :)) Now, let’s talk about what I ordered: • Ekmek Kadayıfı – The name literally means bread in Turkish. It’s supposed to be made with a specific kind of bread, but instead, they used phyllo dough—come on! That’s what kadayıf is made of, not ekmek kadayıfı. On top of that, there was cinnamon and orange juice in it, which is not how it’s supposed to be made if you’re calling it “ekmek kadaifi “ and make it sound like Turkish version of making it, it just wasn’t done right. And let’s be real—if you translated it into Greek, it would be something like Psomí Kadaifi… but where’s the psomí in this dessert, you all? Kadaifi is not Psomi… LOL! • Şambali (a.k.a. Sam Tatlısı) – This is where you supposed to use a hint of orange flavor and be made with more semolina flour, giving it a denser yet moist texture. Instead, it was huge and lacked that distinct orange note. • Profiterole – Not good at all. I won’t even go into it. • Kadayıf – It was super dry. Like, really dry. Nope, sorry, not good at all. So overall, I’d give this place 1-2 stars purely for the effort, but I’m being generous and giving it 4 just in case they really are Greek, as a sign of my appreciation :) I would not reorder the desserts I ordered tonight but I would def Try other desserts in their menu ….

Tried their bread pudding. Unfortunately it was bland and had a mushy bottom. They do have a lot of Turkish/ middle eastern deserts that I would go back to try.

I tried their mini baklava, they do offer the standard size as well. I found that the pastry of it had little taste, and the honey on the bottom layer of the baklava has about 95% of the baklava's flavor. When I bought it, I was hoping for more than a pleasant honey taste. The mini baklava I bought was weighed and the charge was based on its weight, which was $1.80. My food rating of two stars is based on this baklava only.

The fresh Strawberry cheesecake here is phenomenal, and probably the best kept secret in all of New York. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The bakery has become overrun by a crowd of older greek men loitering inside, taking up tables meant for paying customers. They made me feel uncomfortable, speaking about me in Greek as if I wouldn’t understand. This is a bakery, not a kafenio, soccer club, or hangout spot. The staff needs to step in and enforce basic etiquette..right now it’s bad for business and makes the atmosphere unwelcoming. Incredible desserts, but this has ruined their image.

Cake was ok, service was ridiculous. I ordered a black and white cake and they brought me something else with strawberry on top and different layer of cake. I said oh that’s not what I ordered and showed her what I ordered on the window display. she told me yes black and white cake, the same cake. I said no it’s not the same cake it’s obviously different than what I ordered and showed her what I ordered she still says it’s same cake like I’m blind or something. Other guy said sometimes they do different, with strawberry sometimes they don’t. Okay what I saw here was this that’s what I ordered, if you bring something else I’m not gonna take it. It’s ridiculous. I don’t care how you name the cakes, what I paid is what I saw not how you named them. I never saw something like that before. Manager finally said okay I’ll handle it, she brought the cake I asked for. Like what’s going on? Your manager understands when we say black and white cake it’s the exactly what you have on the display and brings the exactly on the display and you send me something else and claiming and insisting that is the same cake which clearly NOT?! Lost all appetite whatever you brought anyway stupid customer service.
