Grateful to have this restaurant open late near me. Happy Garden is super old school American Chinese in their operations and the menu, so don’t except anything too fancy or exotic. I’ve tried almost every category on the menu (appetizers, soups, chicken, beef, shrimp, Ho fun, mi fun, fried stuff), and while I feel it’s not 100% consistent, most of the time they hit the spot. If you’re particular about how something is made, they listen to special requests too. My favorites are fried wings and shrimp dishes, because i can taste the good and fresh ingredients.

They’ve got the BEST sweet and sour chicken I've ever had! I get Chinese food pretty often from different restaurants, but theirs just hits different. The ingredients always taste so fresh. It feels like their food is seriously made with love. The hot and sour soup is also my go-to; tastes so comforting. It’s to order unlike other Chinese takeout places, which makes them standout. The owner is super sweet and treats his customers like family. I 100% recommend this place if you're in the area and definitely worth the trip just to try them.

This little Chinese takeout place was closeby the piers in Astoria/ Brooklyn, really liked their white fried rice with beef, chicken, shrimp and veggies!! Most Chinese fast food fried rice was annoying yellow (coloring) rice fyi. You can request no soysauce/ no salt the healthy way, loved fried rice that is aromatically tasty!! The beef and chicken was tender not salty, shrimps seemed frozen small but fresh! Rice wasn't like Thai rice soft and fluffy. I'd visit again!

This is the best Chinese take out place. The people working there are polite and helpful and honest and the food and the ingredients are very good. I do not tolerate oil and I requested low oil and they listened and were truly careful about it. I really appreciated that and was able to enjoy my food. It’s also nice that there is spacious room to sit even though it’s a take out place

Food was great. Not the best mind you because you can get better but at a higher price. Service is fantastic. The lady behind the counter always had a smile for me and delivered the food quickly. Not much atmosphere but your taking it to go most of the times anyway.

Ordered from here due to 5* on grubhub. Never in a million years was this 5* Missing one dish like the rest of the food was delivered later but was Stone Cold. Beef tasted dodgy too. Gross. Dont even bother ordering here.

Extremely unsatisfied. Chicken and broccoli was mostly broccoli and barley any chicken. Wasn’t very tasty either. I wouldn’t waste my money. First time ordering here. You can tell their playing inflation and it shows.
