Just had the best Chinese food from Astoria I've been living here for 6yrs now and this place just made me delete the other place I used to order from,so let me tell you,I been in the mood for some salt and pepper shrimp but did they kill it,I'm mad I ordered a small 🤦🏾‍♀️ but yea 10stars for sure

I’ve tried almost every category on the menu (appetizers, soups, chicken, beef, shrimp, Ho fun, mi fun, fried stuff), and while I feel it’s not 100% consistent, most of the time they hit the spot. If you’re particular about how something is made, they listen to special requests too. My favorites are fried wings and shrimp dishes, because i can taste the good and fresh ingredients.

I do not tolerate oil and I requested low oil and they listened and were truly careful about it. I really appreciated that and was able to enjoy my food. It’s also nice that there is spacious room to sit even though it’s a take out place

Shirley of Happy Garden is always so kind and caring. This is a good spot for quick weeknight takeout. Some of the best veggie dumplings I’ve ever had and their wonton soup is a go-to. Can’t speak for everything on the menu except for aforementioned faves!!

I find them ok as far as Chinese food and not costly and the food is good. Better than going to Broadway China station as I felt there there was always an issue with the food or the owner snd the charge a surcharge if you use your debit/credit card which is a turn off and have a $10 limit and there was ALWAYS and issue when talking to the owner especially the wife as she always had an attitude about everything. I just dont want to be bothered.

With so many Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood it's hard to pick a favourite. However, Happy Garden has easily become my go-to when I'm craving Sesame Beef and General Tso's Chicken. Fast delivery and friendly service.

Food was great. Not the best mind you because you can get better but at a higher price. Service is fantastic. The lady behind the counter always had a smile for me and delivered the food quickly. Not much atmosphere but your taking it to go most of the times anyway.

Cheap and convenient, but the food was way below mediocre. I could taste more of the re-fried oil than the chicken, which was dry and chewy. If they weren't so nice, would have been 1 ☆ Oh, and it's NOT a pizzeria! (to the previous review)

Ordered a pint of fried rice and a pint of General Tso's Chicken for delivery. When it arrived, I received a pint of fried rice and then white rice with a small portion or the chicken. This meal was for 2 people and there's no way we could split it. I called the restaurant and explained the issue. They understood and sent the delivery driver back with "corrected" food. They sent the same thing which was incorrect. I sent the food back with the driver. I called again and they said that they were too busy to help me and that event though my receipt said I should receive a pint of chicken, that's not how they do it. While the delivery was very fast, the food was incorrect both times. Not worth the money or my time. Will definitely NOT be eating here again. Choose any of the other Chinese restaurants on the area.

Love the food but delivery guy is my problem. I have a three week old baby and pay tip.. he didnt come upstairs and had to go with my baby to gwt my food. Why pay tip if my delivery is not satisfied never again unless it changes!

Dear Management, I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service and food quality at your establishment. Due to the consistently unprofessional attitude of the individual responsible for taking orders, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. Furthermore, during our last order, the chicken served to my child was raw, which is a serious health concern. Despite being a regular customer in the neighborhood and providing multiple opportunities for improvement, the combination of poor service and substandard food has led me to switch to Astoria #1. My family is much more satisfied with the quality provided by this new location. I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve your standards for future customers.

Used to eat here regularly until I had a bunch of friends over and we all ordered sesame chicken. The chicken was darker than any sesame chicken we ordered and by the end of the night we ALL had food poisoning.

Please do not go here, I don’t know who’s in charge of their “customer service,” but whoever’s replying to the negative reviews is definitely the employees kids. The food is so bad and the worst quality possible, yes they have loyal customers, because those customers are lazy and don’t want to try other spots and don’t recognize quality. There’s a reason why people don’t leave as many good reviews.

Boneless spare rib tips were burnt and nasty. The same sauce they used for the steam Wong tong is what they put on them. And it was also the same sauce they gave me for the egg foo young. And I was missing my egg rolls. Poor quality and service spend your money elsewhere
