Kween Astoria Reviews
Amazing drag brunch! I came with my friend for a girls date and it's been an amazing experience. I'd highly recommend.
My friends and I are regulars here! The food is surprisingly good for a gay bar. It’s always a fun time.
We were served by the most attentive and friendly Tim at our bottomless brunch and he is the best! Best customer service in NYC, such a joy overall.
Kween is so awesome! Such a fun safe space for queer people. The drinks are awesome and so affordable. The hot Aussie bartender Tim made me some awesome mocktails. Will be back!!
Extremely talented drag queens. Love their shows. Always very entertaining!! Drag is such a beautiful work of art.. love it!💖
We went to drag brunch with our friend group and we loved it. The queens were entertaining and fabolous ♡ the atmosphere was very warm and we loved the appriaciation to the kitchen staff along with everyone else. The mexican food we ate was soooooo good! We truly hope this place will be successful for many many years. Xoxo all you lovely staff 😘
I’ve gone at least a handful of times, and it never disappoints. The shows are at 1 pm and 3:30 pm on weekends, which makes it perfect for a late morning treat or pushing brunch into happy hour. At roughly $30, you’ll get bottomless mimosas or bellinis and creative brunch dishes like chilaquiles or crème brûlée French toast. The space is small but mighty—the energy is electric, and the queens bring serious charisma and wit every show. If you’re looking for a queer-owned, community-focused drag brunch that feels less touristy than and more local-cool, Kween absolutely delivers.
Went here in May 2025 for a drag brunch with my husband and my mom who was visiting from out of town and hadn’t seen a proper drag show. The staff was understanding that we were a little late for our reservation but still got a great table! The queens were entertaining and friendly. Food was great!
Tonight was my first time going to Kween and I want to come back every weekend after this!! From the bartender Ashley to Chef Steve Cruz, it was all around a great experience!! We had the Shrimp and Crab guacamole, Elotes appetizer and the Flautas. You can definitely taste the love they put into all they offer here!! Such a great vibe for great food and creative drinks!! If you’re looking for a vibe this is it 🤍
Had my first experience here over the weekend and was so pleasantly surprised! The MC and performer (something Culo lol) was the absolute best!! Had an amazing performance along with another performer and I had an absolutely amazing time, and the food was really good (I had the Ricotta French toast and it was to die for) HOWEVER, in such a delicate time in the political world, there was a number devoted to one of the presidential nominees and I think although the performer killed it, it was unnecessary and left me feeling a kind of way. I go out to have a good time, politics should be left out of that equation. I still highly recommend!
It was such a pleasant experience. Loved their Non-alcoholic beverages.
Two weekends back to back I felt like Royalty @ Kween. My first introduction to the Royal court was on a Saturday. A party of six, we decided to stop in for few cocktails after a less then memorable brunch at an overpriced and unseasoned place in the city. We had such an enjoyable moment, we decided to return the following Sunday for a proper brunch seasoned with the right amount of Drag. Sunday's Drag Brunch is offered @1pm & 3pm. We decided on 3pm for our slightly smaller party of 4. Drinks were nice & stiff, food was tasty and the show was spicy! We had such an enjoyable time it more then made up for the previous weekend. The entertainers definitely entertained and the staff was efficient and gracious. Since we were celebrating the approaching nuptials of a very good friend. The staff allowed me to bring sweet treats that they enjoyed with us. Just A Note: Don't miss the Royal seat in the back, great photo moment.
Lovely place however the shots were a pit a overpriced. Other than that the service was sensual and friendly. What a cute the bartnender! Reminded me of my teenage years!
This rating is only for tonight and not any of the other times I've been here. I made plans to come here earlier in the week and made reservations to be here at 8pm, so I could watch rupaul's drag race. When I walked in around 7:55, I noticed-- it was packed but I figured my reservation was still good. But then the waiter/greeter intentionally (and maybe unintentionally) ignored me for 10 minutes. Two other people walked in and asked me if I was waiting. I said yes. They said they'd let the waiter know about me waiting as they went to look for seats within the restaurant. They proceeded to find seats and did point to me. The waiter briefly looked at me and then walked back towards the kitchen, away from me. The waiter did not acknowledge me until they came back out with food for a table that was located by the front door. Again, they didn't really acknowledge me until I said something and they proceeded to say, "Sorry, we're packed, we didn't expect it to be this busy," and then offered me a seat directly next to the wall where I couldn't see the TV screen. I would have had to break my neck to watch the whole time. So, I left. And the waiter did seem overwhelmed. The overall experience left me upset, but mostly, sad!!! I was really looking forward to spending time in the bar and watching rupaul's drag race with fellow fans. I planned my whole evening around it. It's obvious reservations don't matter and I'll note that for next time. 😔
