I stopped by Jantz after receiving a free pie coupon at the Children’s Summit for First 5 Merced County, and I’m so glad I did! I ordered a vanilla iced latte, snickerdoodle cookies, and a pumpkin scone. Since Starbucks discontinued their pumpkin scone, I’ve been searching for a replacement, and Jantz’s version is actually better! The snickerdoodles are the best I’ve ever tasted, soft, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The vanilla iced latte was also very good (next time I’ll order nonfat milk so the flavor balance is just right). Overall, this charming little café completely won me over. I’ll definitely be back!

We love meeting friends, as we did today, for lunch. Great food, great company and great service. You will never be disappointed when eating at Jantz! We love the Atwater location, but the location in Merced is just as delicious!

I was recommended to go to Jantz for lunch and I was not disappointed! The restaurant was exceptionally clean. The staff was super friendly. And, the food was DELICIOUS! Their homemade bread was killer, and the salad was amazing too. I will definitely come back next time I'm in the area. What a lovely place!!!

I live out of state, so every time I'm here in Atwater I go to Jantz multiple times. The food and pastries are always excellent. Today it was a blueberry turnover and a cinnamon roll. So tasty.

Excellent biscuits and gravy (half portion), wonderful cinnamon French toast, and the avocado toast with the added egg. Not pictured, two Kolachys that I devoured and highly recommend the apricot and berry. I’m willing to bet the apple is also delicious but I prefer apricot over all of them. Also the seasonal lavender London fog was very good and I got a mango iced tea that was perfectly sweet.

First time ordering takeout. Didn’t know the procedure. Nobody at the reception desk “Wait to be seated”. Stood around for a while before someone showed up. All we had to do was to take 3 steps to the right and talk to the sweet gal to place an order. She was awesome and very warm and inviting. I had the BLT and it was one of the best! The bacon was amazing.

That is what I call a great café. We went there by a recommendation from someone working at the Castle Airport Museum. And we were completely satisfied. We had mocha ☕️ and some slices of pie cake. Both were fantastic. The coffee had a really great taste to it and the (fruit) pie was so fresh. Incredible! Also, the staff were super friendly.

Great experience again. Came here this time for my birthday breakfast with family. Great staff and service as it was great to dicuss baseball with our waitress. (By the way Go Giants!!!) I ordered pancakes today as they were nice and just the right fluff. Syrup was great and the sausage wit potatoes hit the spot. Recommend any dish and come during lunch to pick you up some pastry or pies. The coffee section has great options and the seasonal drinks are great. Thanks everyone at Jantz for making a memorable experience.

Jantz is the place for breakfast, brunch and lunch. They have such delicious, homemade food; you can taste the love in every bite. The smell of their coffee fills the parking lot. If you haven't been, it's an experience you won't want to miss.

We love it here! The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is always so kind and cheerful. I enjoy trying new drinks from the cafe every visit, breakfast is our favorite but lunch is great as well. The French toast with Dutch honey is my favorite for breakfast and the Strawberry Spinach Salad is my favorite for lunch. Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait to be seated but I guarantee you it's worth the wait. Also, you can't beat free pie day! Just be sure to download the rewards app to rack up points. So worth it!

Truly loved going Jantz, for my first time I liked it so much I came back the next day. I really love their coffee, the taste is great and the names are unique. The atmosphere of the cafe was really comfortable, clean, and welcoming. I highly recommend going to Jantz cafe.

I love Jantz, have breakfast with family there regularly. I love cake and prefer Jantz over everybody! The only reason for 3 stars is the price. A 6 inch cake, chocolate with buttercream frosting- nothing else, with flowers and happy anniversary, no other decorations, almost exactly doubled since June. A 6" cake was anywhere from $25-28, now it is $52. We canceled our order. They didn't tell us the price increase at ordering, called us later for payment-when it was too late for us to order anywhere else. Im highly disappointed and devastated. There are no other local bakeries like this to get a good cake. Not good Jantz, not good.
