Austea Austin Reviews
I’m a recurring customer here in Austin, and AUSTEA has quickly become one of my go-to bubble tea spots. Every visit has been consistently great. The drinks are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — not overly sweet like some places. The tapioca pearls are soft and chewy, exactly how they should be. The staff are welcoming and patient, and they’re always happy to offer recommendations if you’re trying something new. You can tell they genuinely care about quality and customer experience. The shop itself is clean, well organized, and has a great vibe. You know it’s good when there are always people inside relaxing and enjoying their drinks — it really adds to the atmosphere. I’ll definitely keep coming back and would highly recommend AUSTEA to anyone in Austin who loves great bubble tea.
Amazing place, atmosphere- love to catch in the morning pastry here and my favorite Taro Bubble milk tea!! Great selection of yummy juices , teas - highly recommended!!! - I make sure to stop by and grab my favorites at least once / twice a week! ; Ann, thank you for make me and my friends welcomed! 😎🫶
I love this place!!!! The Hawaii is the best!!! I haven’t been in over a year and I’m so excited to say they now have amazing food!!!! If you’ve never had a Korean corn dog go try it and get the sweet Hawaii drink with boba!!!
I absolutely love this place!! I come here quite a bit. Today however tony was our cashier and he was incredibly enthusiastic and very charismatic!! I discovered my wifes and i new drinks!! (Coconut matcha for me and marble taro for my wife) I already came a lot but now i will def visit more because of tony!!
First time coming into the shop and very friendly and comfortable atmosphere! Drinks are nice and delicious.(I got a Taro Milk Tea, a Brown sugar boba, and my husband got a peach green tea, which he approves) I would definitely recommend if you want a good and yummy time! Shout-out to Johnny for being really polite and hospitable (sorry if I misspelled it)
I always come here for the strawberry milk tea! I would say Austea is in a tie with another local spot in California for my top favorite boba tea spot! The staff are always sweet and the place is a vibe!! They have a promotion but two get one free but it was just me and my partner so they offered to make the third drink without ice so we can save it for later! I recommend their strawberry milk tea for those who love a good sweet drink! I also recommend their marble drinks they are so delicious! I just tried their strawberry matcha and it is also very top tier. Support this local businesses! :))
It’s a very friendly environment and the customer service is very good. We have come here and every now and then and I personally like the boba teas they have on the menu. Do take note that their teas are on the sweeter side so if you like your milk tea more calm ask for less sugar. I just got their ube matcha milk tea and it’s really good 👍🏽
I recently ordered the lychee tea along with one of their combo meals, which included boneless wings, a matcha ube drink, and fries. The lychee tea was refreshing and lightly sweet, with a fragrant fruity flavor that wasn’t overpowering. It was crisp and easy to drink, making it a great choice if you want something refreshing. The matcha ube drink in the combo was a pleasant surprise—creamy, smooth, and nicely balanced, with the earthiness of matcha pairing well with the subtle sweetness of ube. The boneless wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and they paired perfectly with the hot, freshly made fries. Everything came out hot and well-prepared, which made the combo feel like a great value for both food and drinks. The vibe at AUSTEA is relaxed and modern, and it’s a great place to catch up with friends or take a break while exploring Austin. Service was friendly and efficient.
I am so glad a friend introduced me to this place! Customer service was fantastic and so were the prices. I got a combo for only 13.99$ and it included plenty of food and a giant tea. I just had to order the taiyaki with mozzarella! I call them cheese fish. 🧀 🐟 I will be ordering more cheese fish in the future! 😁
My overall experience here was really good, it's been a long time since I've had boba tea but I found out that they had quite a few flavors that I really enjoyed but I ultimately picked out the Thai milk tea which I paired with some brown sugar boba, I got it about 25% sugar because they allow you to control the sugar level which is really nice as well as how much ice you want, I chose about 50%. My girlfriend got the Pina Colada one with double Boba and, of course, no ice because hers was kind of like a shake type of thing. That's some food items as well but we had just eaten beforehand so perhaps maybe I'll be back to try the food items but the overall Ambiance and the staff were very nice and considerate and I would say for the most part very helpful and trying to make sure we understood the menu.
Update: Got the brown sugar milk tea drink again and it was done right this time. I got 75% sweetness and realized I could’ve gone sweeter as I still tasted more whole milk than I would like. The boba pearls were perfectly made - it’s rare for me to encounter boba that’s chewy but still firm. Got great customer service again that sought to understand my needs! 1st time here. Ordered brown sugar milk tea. It was pricey, over $7 before tax, but wanted to give it a shot. It’s the worst brown sugar sugar milk tea I ever had. It largely tasted like milk, boba was very overcooked and squishy. In my photo, you’ll see that there’s no brown syrup on the sides of the cup, which I normally see with brown sugar milk tea. Aside from the drink, the cashier was very friendly and patient as I took some time to decide - even offered to combine things I liked.
10/10 amazing customer service and amazing matcha. I got the Matcha tea latte with 75% sweetness which I give a 10/10. I also went the day prior to this post and got the same matcha latte with 50% sweetness and that was a 8/10. The sweetness level really changed my perspective on the flavor. Will be returning back for more.
