Awesome old Austin gem. The original owners left the place to their lovely daughter, who currently owns and operates it. Killer happy hour deal ($2 tall boys?? In the year 2026??) but it's also BYO Food and Drink. Great vibe and live music.

This place has been around for 61 years in ATX! One of the weird ones, but I mean that will all affection. No liquor available but BYOB ok. Staff was so kind when I went in for a beer and a little rest the weekend. There was a jazz band playing and a couple locals scattered about on Saturday late afternoon. Keep Austin weird ya’ll!!

I like this place. It is one of the few remaining places in Austin where you can go have an inexpensive beer and relax in a safe, welcoming, interesting environment. It has been around forever. It features live music at times and always friendly staff members. The clientele that go there are also nice to be around. If you want wine just take your own bottle and they give you a set up and it’s very inexpensive. I will be sorry when the time arrives and Austin no longer has joints like this. My wife and I try to make it over there every couple of months. I also noticed that people purchase food from wherever and take it into the carousel and eat and have a good time.

This place has beer and set ups. So you can bring your own liquor. It’s has such a great atmosphere and different nights have different kinds of music. The bartender was also very nice and friendly.

This is a must to experience! A good friend of mine who has lived here for over 40 years took me here to listen to live music and have a beer. I've been told you can bring your own hard liquor to drink and they will allow it, because they don't sell hard liquor.

One of the last Bastions of Austin. The owner will not sell out to the corporate bar conglomerates and I am damn glad she won’t! Great happy hour at $2 beers and $3 rest of night. A classic Austin dive bar that was the Austin before Californiacation. Not to be missed!

Great little dive bar. Saw 3 Eye Raven there. Awesome show! The atmosphere is super cool and laid back. I never felt sketched out. Drinks were reasonable and staff was friendly. Would definitely go back.

This place.Oof.This used to be considered a bad area.Now I am unsure if so or not but oh it certainly used to be and I had an apartment near there.I used to go when I needed a beer and they were always very nice to me....at a time when nobody else would welcome me anywhere at all...so kudos to them.♡I do remember a guy trying to get into my car outside very aggressively one night and having to drive off and push the man out of my car.Haha!I would NOT recommend hanging out in the parking lot if it is anything like it used to be...but inside the place is super cool.

Circus themed bar with live music and byob, the Carousel Lounge is a sick visit, but not the place to stay all night. The drinks are moderately priced. On a Tuesday night, a Truly hard seltzer was $4. Not terrible, not amazing. Very unique spot though!
