Crow Bar Austin Reviews
Great dive bar. Bartender was courteous and knowledgeable, and I thought the decor was awesome.
Great bar, can't wait to go back for a live show.
Great place to hang out. Great vibe, great food and live music. The staff are cool dudes as well.
The pizza from the trailer in back is tip notch… if Totinos’ recipe were to be made from good ingredients in a high quality oven.
Love the new location! They did a great job of keeping the vibe of the old Crowbar but in a bigger, nicer space. Lots of seating, the patio feels better than the old south Congress location because it isnt on such a busy road, staff is cool, decent drink prices. Glad one of my favorite places reopened and came back bigger and better!
We arrived too late for food.. so I don't have a real rating for that. 5 stars because I don't want it to impact the overall score. We ended up stopping in here because it was right by the airport, and my friend's luggage was delayed 2 hours on a later flight. So we stopped in for a drink. Chill and divey, just how we like it. Great service. Would definitely go back, just wish it was up north closer to home!
Awesome bar with cool atmosphere. I feel like it leans into a goth/ metal vibe. If you go, you gotta try the chub pizza. The drinks are also a good size. We tried the Moscow mule (amazing) and the lavender haze (I loved it but it was too lavender-y for husband. Might not be for all). Definitely worth returning to!
So happy to see this classic back in business - truly some of the best drinks for the price. So nostalgic and a TRUE piece of old Austin still lives here
I mean this with complete adoration: this place just opened and it is already a glorious craphole. Authentically dingy and sketchy in appearance/architecture while the staff is somehow upbeat and polite. The PA is crap but the sound person is still killing it. I could not love a new place more. If they had figured out how to preemptively make the floor simultaneously sticky and slippery they would have really nailed it. I mean it is only a matter of time before someone kicks a sink off the bathroom wall and the picture will be complete.
Been loving the new location. All the staff are personable, and in good spirits. The dark aesthetic is something I was craving to find in Austin again. I also love that it’s a little tucked away and going there feels intentional. Plenty of parking, and been loving the fact they are a venue now too! Highly recommend the meatball sub, and the fried pickles are the best I’ve ever had. Their drink menu is pretty extensive and they can make a great mocktail too if you’re not in the mood for alcohol. 10/10 spot!
We were sad to see the OG Crow Bar go, but the new place is really, really good! The ambiance is killer, the drinks....man, the drinks were fantastic, everything about the new place is great. And there's room for live music! Really happy to have Crow Bar back!
Crow Bar is one of the last true heavy metal dive bars in Austin, and its new location keeps the spirit alive. The setup is cool, with a mix of a bar, food, pool tables, and a jukebox blasting heavy tunes. The live music venue brings in different bands, keeping things fresh and loud. It’s got a gritty, old-school feel that metalheads will appreciate. The patio is a solid spot for smokers to hang out without missing the vibe inside. Whether you’re here for a drink, a game of pool, or a killer live set, Crow Bar delivers
This Crow is rising from the ashes... Crow Bar is BACK!! And it is glorious. Much larger space, now with a stage for what's already looking like a sick lineup of bands, food truck still, pool tables, jukebox, and all the same sweet vibes. Get your sweet patoots out there and help reign in the triumphant return of the best bar in Austin. 🤘
Fun bar! I loved their jukebox and the phone booth photo op! They have a big menu. Loved the outdoor area. Loved the giant jenga blocks that we can play with. Nice pool room. Loud music, you have to shout in order to chat with the people next to you. Seemed like a lot of people were there solo. They have a pizza menu. It was easy to park for free on the street of the bar on a Friday night at 9 pm. They have weekly specials offered.
I enjoy this spot. Awesome drinks. People are chill and the bartenders are pretty friendly. I wanted to give that food trailer a shot. The guy was rude as hell so we just left and took our money elsewhere. Recommend this bar if you just want to chill and enjoy some drinks with some good company!
This place is very relaxed and fun. A gothic and dark theme but definitely a fun dive bar for a few drinks. The drinks are a bit pricey but absolutely delicious!
My friends and I got kicked out when we were over 21 and had IDs to shows. One of my friends tried to not wear shoes and got told to put on shoes. Not a grunge place, wack!!!
