This might be one of my fave dive bars in Austin. Used to retreat into the dim lights and the AC on many a hot Texas summer afternoon. Cheap beer. A juke box. What more do you need?

It's an amazing small hole in the wall bar. There's nothing more to say other than it's amazing.

Playlist usually hits home with the nostalgia and will get everyone singing along. It's not the dirty bills experience if it's not packed tight shoulder to shoulder with a bottle of MD 2020.

80% of the bar is a literal hallway, so it's always packed on Fridays and Saturdays, but always a good time. Come here if your girl wants to dance on a table/elevated surface. Killer music.

The DIRTY is the place to go to dance the night away and smile bright like a diamond. The bar service is always quick and the dj is spinning tunes left and right. Yes the bar/ dance floor is small but that's what makes it so much fun. Throw those hips back, reach out to the sky, and live your life. This is the place to be at midnight on a Saturday don't let the large college bars fool you. You want to smile and move like a champion? Then GO.GET. DIRTY.

Overall, I would recommend Dirty Bill's to anyone looking for a laid-back, dive-bar experience. The decor, drinks, and crowd make for a unique and memorable night out. Just be prepared for the small space and loud music. Chan is so good. I have never experienced some one like Chan. Chan is the best. I love Chan. Chan is a great man. A top tier man Chan is. No one is better. So hot. So good.

A really nice, hidden spot on West 6th. There was a lack of drink specials but that's forgivable for the price and privacy. Scotch/cognac collection was a bit lacking, but I did enjoy the selection of American/Irish whiskeys. Beer choices were also pleasant as all of the Austin favorites seem to be available. 5/5. Will be back next time I'm in the area. Great dive bar feel in an area of town not known for dive bars.

The bartenders are incredible , I believe it was Madison and definitely Ella are amazing . They were able to entertain an entire bar and keep our drinks refilled without a sweat. 10/10 will be back and with friends!!

But, oddly enough, there’s no other place nearby that offers this specific brand of borderline anarchy disguised as “fun.” They technically make cocktails, but let’s not pretend that’s why you’re here. Stick to a shot, a beer, and a swift exit strategy. If you’re lucky, you’ll get kicked out at least once, but don’t worry—they have a very liberal “clean slate” policy the next day. Speaking from experience. Lastly, buy a hat. Just trust me. It’s the kind of souvenir that screams “I made some choices,” and you’ll be surprised how much goodwill it earns you in Texas. One might even say the hat is the classiest thing about the place, but that would be setting a very low bar.

To get the bad out of the way first, there's hardly any room in this place. Maybe and most likely thats also what makes this place an awesome place to "get yo drank on". Besides having two of the most beautiful bartenders in town, the guy Cade is great dude too. Strong drinks and you can actually drink an MD 20/20 if you're feeling extra saucy. DB's is an excellent change of pace from all the yuppie/lawyer bars that hug west 6th street.

This is probably one of the biggest dive bars I've been to in Texas. If you want to go to a dark but fun indoor space that reminds me of some of my hometown (Boston) dive bars.. this is it. Live music sometimes, otherwise pretty good DJs in there. Gets packed on weekend nights.

Beware. This bar has a lot of theft going on. Two females in the group had their wallets and phones taken from their purse while they were wearing them. You may want to blame drunk behavior but people need to know this is happening and it happened in your bar.

Dark bar. My brother by mistake walked to leave the bar and went behind bar and bartend freaked out. We spent hundreds of dollars and apologized for innocent mistake. Bartender couldn’t drop it. Kept going so I left. Staff sucks. Rude.

Door guy super rude ! Don’t ruin your night by getting and watching others getting treated like dirt. There are so many amazing places in Austin steps away :) It was too early in the night and weekend to be cranky .

Two of my friends phones were stolen within 30 minutes of each other. Word on the street is there is a ton of theft at this bar.

Be careful and weary and eyeful what is going on - I’ve been clear and sober the whole evening and been watching this individual treat my boyfriend disrespectfully and unkind. how disrespect and advantage she has taken over him and I cannot stand quiet and let her do what she does.

I was with my significant other and when we walked up to hand the bouncer our IDs he called us disrespectful for getting near him. He then proceeded to tell us because my partner approached him that he would not let us in because we were not respecting his space. We both were wearing our masks and were just trying to enter a bar we had been in many times. Not sure if it was because we were a gay couple but I felt like it was a personal attack. I would caution anyone headed there to be aware of certain employees showing discrimination.

The server kicked us out because we didn’t have the “real ID” star on our licenses. Which you don’t need to fly until 2023. So apparently this bar is more secure than airlines and ruder than TSA at the Newark airport. Good luck.

6 of us girls went to Dirty Bills last night and my friends phone was stolen straight from her purse. We heard from other girls in the bar that their phones were also stolen. Someone was going around unzipping purses. Lots of theft here. Be careful!

Walked in looking to grab a beer saw a big wave kona in the cooler was eager to get 1 but the bartenders didn't acknowledge me so I left after 5 minutes there were only 4 people in there 6 if you're counting the people behind the bar.. won't come here again

I don’t know who the owner is but I went into the bar tonight to try to earn business for my security company cause I’m originally from San Antonio and I’m just trying to expand my business out to other cities And I approached the bartender to explain who iam and what my business was in the bar and some random bald white guy in a blue flannel with a gotea had came up to me “points to my business card and continues to say that doesn’t work” whatever that means and I was just confused and asked “do I know you or do you know me?” And he just said “the door is right there” and I’m like okay and turn to the bartender said “thank you for your time” and walked out and the dude had a stare down with me as i was leaving the bar like if i knew him or whatever the case may be if he is the owner dude really needs to adjust his attitude to people! Cause I have not done business with him before nor do I know at all

I don’t know who the owner is but I went into the bar tonight to try to earn business for my security company cause I’m originally from San Antonio and I’m just trying to expand my business out to other cities And I approached the bartender to explain who iam and what my business was in the bar and some random bald white guy in a blue flannel with a gotea had came up to me “points to my business card and continues to say that doesn’t work” whatever that means and I was just confused and asked “do I know you or do you know me?” And he just said “the door is right there” and I’m like okay and turn to the bartender said “thank you for your time” and walked out and the dude had a stare down with me as i was leaving the bar like if i knew him or whatever the case may be if he is the owner dude really needs to adjust his attitude to people! Cause I have not done business with him before nor do I know at all

If I could give 0 stars I would. I got denied entry by the classy door man checking IDs because I was wearing a Texas A&M polo shirt. Completely classless and unprofessional behavior. Spend your money elsewhere. I was expecting a snarky response filled with garbage. I see you looked into the matter since you seem to know all about it given I emailed your Customer Service. Nice fairytale story though. Funny, we had no issues going to any other establishments...
