I am surprised to see so many negative reviews here. We had a great experience with both the food and the wait time. This is a fantastic spot for a quick taco on the go. We tried the brisket breakfast tacos, and they were perfect. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in town!

Wow - don’t know if the bad reviews were on an off-day or I was here on a great day - but the brisket and bean & potato tacos were very good. Great flavor, a generous portion, and just as importantly (because we are at an airport) fast. In and out so I didn’t miss my connection. I will definitely try it again next time I pass through.

Earl Campbell's tacos are a delicious and hearty meal, perfect for satisfying your hunger. These tacos are made with a soft tortilla shell and filled with tender and flavorful beef, fresh lettuce and tomato, and a zesty salsa. The combination of spices and textures makes each bite a delightful explosion of flavor.

A fun spot at the airport, with decent portions/price (at least by airport food standards). I love the outdoor venue and food truck motif, including a stage and bleacher seats. The brisket bowl is delicious, and worth stopping by.

Delicious tacos and reasonably priced considering it’s in an airport. Sausage was good I wish I would have tried bacon or potato with guacamole add on. Took about 3 mins to get food! 5/5

All airport food is expensive, so I'd say this place is alright. The taco bowl had a scoop of Parmesan cheese on the side...kind of odd.

I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the brisket tacos. Normally I only give 3 to 4 stars on most airport food. Great job guys and gals.

We were on a 2+ hour layover in Austin so we had plenty of time to eat. Settled on Earl Campbell's Taco Truck. Prices weren't that outrageous and portion sizes were pretty good. A few of us got the chicken bowl and a few got the brisket tacos. Both had goof flavor. The bowl had a good kick. Seating area was crowded didn't feel chaotic. Better than typical airport food. In fact, there wasn't a McDonald's, KFC or Wendy's in sight.

I feel somewhat on the fence about this place. The tacos were decent, nothing to write home about. The chicken was bland but plentiful. The sour cream/sauce on the chicken tacos didn’t really help their flavor. The brisket tacos had more flavor from the bbq sauce but again were nothing to write home about. Both sets of tacos cost 13.50. The pickles were actually our favorite part, we got the ranch pickles and they were a little zesty and briny. Still ridiculous at 3.99 but it’s the airport. I would say this is a good place for quantity but the quality is not phenomenal. A decent place to eat at the airport, especially with some seating options, but in no way stellar.

Not bad for airport food. Had the 2 taco combo, one brisket and the other chicken. Pretty good, pricey though at $15 with no drink or sides. Speaking of sides, I ordered a side of refried beans that on the menu, is topped with cotija cheese. I get all the way down to my gate and opened my beans and it’s just beans, no cheese. Since I had time and was craving cotija cheese, I walked back and asked the clerk about it. He acted like it was a huge deal saying “yeah I guess if you want cheese on it I suppose I can do that”. Dude, ITS ON YOUR MENU that way.

Got some breakfast burritos! It was okay taste 👅 but nice that it came fairly quickly! It came within 5 mins of order IF the line is short ! ;)

I want to rank this higher, just because it’s Earl Campbell. Unfortunately he’s not a good of a cook as he was a running back. For airport food it’s still acceptable and usually the line here short. Most of the tacos are pretty good they could just have a little more flavor. But this is a nice place to hang out with a lot of see if you’ve got some time, and there’s often live music.

Super disappointed in my refried bean/potato tacos. I had high hopes. I wanted to like them as much as I did watching Earl "Thunder Thighs" Campbell rumble over middle linebackers in the early 80s. Unlike Earl, these tacos came with zero flavor, a dry flour tortilla, and cubed potatoes barely warmed up from the freezer. Don't ask what they cost - even at an airport. The only positive was listening to the live music in the nearby courtyard.

I ordered a sausage taco and a brisket taco. I could almost not see the coleslaw and both were drenched in BBQ sauce. Wish I would have found the reviews for spending this much money on a simple lunch with no drinks. We will not come back here on future trips out of Austin.

Unfortunately Earl Campbell's Food Truck is akin to your Airport food... Overpriced, sub-par food... Just grab something to eat due to the limited options available. As far as I know, Earl Campbell's Food Truck is only at the Austin airport. On the plus side it's one of the first Venues to open for breakfast. Of course early bird travelers line up for a quick bit to eat since other options are very limited. BREAKFAST TACOS: ~ EGG & CHEESE WITH BRISKET - 3/5 Stubby little Taco stuffed with Brisket. This actually looked like a mini Burrito or a Burrito cut in thirds. I can't talk ill of the portion, but the Brisket wasn't the best. Not up to Austin Standards, but still edible. ~ SAUSAGE WRAP - 1/5 Seriously skip this one... I only ordered it out of curiosity. They handed me a sausage like in a Tortilla! There was nothing else in it. This looks like something you give a 5 year old. ...annnddd it was $9!!! SMH At least it was edible. Pick another option if it's available to you...

As a taco lover, I was excited to try the potato and beans taco at the café near Gate 17, but it turned out to be one of the worst tacos I've ever had. The presentation was lacking, and the potato was not hot. On the positive side, the wait time was minimal, but unfortunately, that didn't make up for the disappointing taco.

A shocking $27 for a tiny bun with chopped up meat on it. It was extremely salty, way too much. It was small, there were a ton of hidden fees, surcharges and forced tip. Being at an airport, the menu item doubled in price and it definitely wasn't worth it. The only good thing was that it was very fast, but that may have been because there was no line. I wish I'd read the reviews before expecting a cheaper meal.

- the brisket here is NOT brisket, it is steamed chopped, fatty beef, treated w preservative that keeps it uniformly pink and wet, the kind you get in canned beef. Reminded me of what you get in MRE packets. The fake brisket here is finished w liquid smoke for flavor and BBQ sauce to hide it. - tall bar seating but expect seats to be moved around and taken so standing tables - awkward bleacher seating as well - all bowls, including vegetarian, same price at $18.87 if you de-select the automatic tip option and change it to 0% tip. There is no table service, so why the automatic tip? - bowl size is about half the serving size of adult portions. Kids sized meals. - refuses to take cash here, charges mandatory, automatic 2.8% fee for credit card as only payment option - for the health and environmentally- conscious, I uploaded photos of their food setup station which uses polyethylene plastic food wraps to line their constantly heated metal food containers. Shows laziness in the workers just cleaning and disinfecting the stainless steel containers over the health of patrons.

I got the cajun chicken tacos. They were a disgrace to both the words Cajun and Taco. Felt like microwaved bland chicken, stale tortillas served with stale pico. Avoid if you can.

Needed to choose a tip amount on the payment screen and chose 10% because that seemed a least amount although I didn't want to tip. Later I realized from the receipt that the food costed $19.24 and the tip was charged $3.84. I felt totally ripped off.

I got the bacon egg and cheese breakfast tacos and they were hands down the most disgusting tacos that I’ve ever eaten. The eggs looked and tasted like powdered eggs and the tortillas tasted like the had been left in the freezer for too long. To top it off, they charged me $26 for 3 small tacos.

First of all. Over priced. I got Cajun chicken taco. No Cajun flavor, almost bland. They topped with little sour cream and pico de Gallo. I had to ask for more since they gave you so little pico de gallo. Unfortunately, that was just as bland. No seasoning that I can taste. Moreover they have a golden fee of 10% tip and 2.8% charge fee. Of course they ask for an additional tip starting at 20%. For $14 , 2 tacos , that don’t impress—- I say go to the salt lick bbq. Much better taste.

Ok food, but they charge a tip/credit card surcharge without telling you that (and ask you to tip on top of that). Thus they scam everyone out of a few extra dollars. At the minimum, there should be mention that you already tipped next to the screen that asks you to tip…. And it should be very clear if they do so. There are no waiters/waitresses, so why is tip pre-included?
