Wow! We got the daily special today which was a brisket hot dog, amazing! But let’s talk about the star, the fries. Never have I ever had anything special to say about a regular fry, but these have reached a new fry level, seasoned to perfection, tossed in some greenery. Served with two sauces to dip, yes!
We ordered some food here to complement our beers from Live Oak and we are glad we did. We tried the brat, pretzel and smoked nuts. The smoked nuts for phenomenal. We liked them so much we ordered 2 more to-go. We also ordered a couple of the cherry bombs for a sweet treat. Everything was great.
Bomb.com - a big tasty basket of fries and a beautiful pretzel to go with my beer. Service with a smile and food perfectly crispy. Don’t get no better.
Made it to the brewery for the first time, which we loved...but fell even more in love with this spot. Such wonderful quality and flavors - this German girl is happy to find this place and am will be back soon.

Man, thank you so much!!! My grandma would’ve approved, and we were craving the best. As authentic as I have found in Austin. The cucumber salad is refreshing and took me back to my childhood. The schnitzel was crispy and lemony perfection. I even ate my vegetables… This is a local business to support! They’re open weekends now, but hopefully open every day soon as more businesses are able to open. Easy parking, shout out to Live Oak Brewing company. Really, WORTH supporting.
Was lucky enough to try this at an Octoberfest event in Austin, shortly after I ordered they would set out this BRB sign for 5 to 10 minutes at a time, the wait was not long at all for my food they were just perhaps understaffed or unable to take too many orders at once. Well worth the wait I say! The schnitzel was fried perfectly, same with the ham hock croquettes amazing flavors, everything went well with the beer even their little jar of mustard, my only regret is I did not order more food. Followed them on social media would certainly go out of my way for a chance to dine with them again
The Beer Brat with Kraut was AMAZING!! The mustard on the beat was so delicious! My son got the Frito Pie with brisket and was the best frito pie I’ve ever had! The Black Forest is a little white food truck in the parking lot of Live Oak Brewery. Great place to come for great outdoor seating with top notch food and service.
The chicken sliders and garlic fries were amazing! This is my go to before I hit the airport every time!
Just ordered a beer brat with kraut. Possibly the best I've ever had, even in the EU! The brat was smooth and flavorful, the casing almost non existent! The bread was just the right balance of chewy inside and crispness outside. The kraut and mustard well balanced. Carrot and turnip pickles an extra authentic treat! Washed down with a Primus from @liveoakbrewing

Ordered some food yesterday leaving Austin, let me just say the fact this place doesn’t have a 5/5 is frustrating. The food is incredible German food, the schnitzel which is great schnitzel on a pretzel bun w/some cabbage and it’s 10/10. The owner was so kind and helpful, he pet my puppy Vulcan and compliment my New Year’s Eve nails! He’s always been kind to all my pilot friends that have gone from Corpus, so I told my self when I’m Austin I have to go. 10/10 will always be stopping by to say hi, good food & good beer at brewery next store. If your thinking about going please do-you won’t regret it
