Fujiyama Austin Reviews
We had the best service here! I informed the gentleman that took our food order that I cannot have high amounts/NO, salt/soy sauce/sodium due to health issues. He offered to have my future prepared in the kitchen to ensure they least amount of salt contamination. OMG, that is CS at it's best! I opted to have the full hibachi experience.. The Chef prepared my food first, then all the other meals, course by course! Thank you Fujiyama for a wonderful experience!
Best hibachi dinner I’ve ever had! The chef/cook Chito was amazing! By far the best experience I’ve ever had! If you’re ever coming here definitely ask for Chito. His service and personality was top tier! 100/10
I want to send a shot out to Joseph and Veth they were amazing and hands down very respectful and kind. When they realized me and my best friend hadn’t got our food after waiting 20 minutes they had our food ready and to us less than 15 minutes and they continued to check on us faithfully. So thank you guys and keep that power energy. 😊
I was looking for a good sushi restaurant and I happened to stop in this place. The food tastes very fresh and the servers and staff were very attentive and friendly. They also do hibachi and it looked like a fun experience. Definitely will be back here again to try the hibachi but 10/10 for service and food
I ordered lunch today and it was ready when I arrived. The staff is so nice. This is my first time eating from this restaurant and the food is so good. They have cream cheese wontons which is amazing to me for someone who does not like crab. The price point is awesome and the food is just delicious! Will definitely be back!
We have lived here for over a decade and never tried this place. Not smart. We loved it! We went Friday evening before 7. We did call and asked for a spot in advance, so when we got there, we only had a 10 minute wait. No sushi on weekends so we might give a weekday a try next. Food was fresh and tasty and the water cups were always filled. Definitely going back Definitely recommended 👌.
Food tasted great. I ordered to-go that I picked up from the hostess. Service was good for my to-go order. They forgot my appetizer and quickly got it out to me once I came back in. It was busy inside. The restaurant smelled great. Parking was available. I would go back.
Didn't really taste authentic but still good. It made me laugh because it was like a Mexican sushi with the flavors. And they had tokyo drift music, playing with like a Mexican twist. Never thought I would see a Japanese restaurant like that but not mad. Staff was super nice, food was good, and everything was delivered fast.
The food was good but some meat options overly seasoned. I have a family of 4: two adults and two children. Adult hibachi steak $27, salmon $26 Kids hibachi chicken and shrimp $15 and $16. Definitely large portions of everything. We had 3 to-go boxes for dinner. There’s an additional $3 per person for rice with the hibachi meals (so $12 for my family). Adult hibachi includes salad (mine had some brown lettuce) and soup. Kid hibachi only includes soup, no salad. Service was amazing! I love a good hibachi experience. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and good vibes. I will definitely visit again.
The food was good our group had lots of compliments to share about the portions and taste. My tamarind margarita drink was very boozy (more in the group said the same about theirs but I guess that could be a good thing). The broth was tasty and the rice was good. I had high hopes for the crab Rangoon but it was just ok. I did enjoy the hibachi teriyaki chicken and veggies. Overall we enjoyed our experience and bc I was celebrating a birthday they provided me a plate of fried ice cream which I thought was very kind and shared amongst my friends.
After 4 years, this habachi style restaurant is still consistent. The recipes are the same, and even some of the wait staff. I dont often eat the sushi, instead choosing to go back to the grill side. The chefs keep it simple, allowing the searing and carmelization from the habachi grill to be the main attraction. I've only seen them use soy sauce, lots of garlic butter, and lemons on seafood.
I took my daughter here after spending some time at the nearby bookstore and we both enjoyed very delicious meals. She had the California roll sushi 🍣 and I had the lunch time order hibachi meal (chicken and shrimp - it was prepared expertly, somehow, just as i would have prepared it if I knew how to "hibachi" things). The wait staff was nice but, of course, there were plenty of restrictions due to the current status of things in Austin, TX.
Definitely don’t book a reservation through OpenTable a month in advance and expect them to honor it, especially on Christmas Eve. Then they lied and said they couldn’t find our reservation when I sat there and showed them on my phone even though my open table was telling them somebody had already checked me in. Finally after arguing for 15 mins with the manager I found my name in their system on their iPad. They clearly needed to slow things down and tried to kick us and our party of 8. Overbooking is one thing but not owning it is another. We do mobile hibachi a lot and we will be sticking to that. Merry Christmas!! Update: gets even better, after waiting 30 mins for our table which maybe with better attitudes would be ok, we had a great chef and servers with great attitudes, we get up to leave and the manager snapped at me “thank you very much for your review!!” - sorry buddy just stating the facts. So thank you to the our crew, that despite the leadership, made up for management at this place.
