Little Deli & Pizzeria Austin Reviews
I was happily surprised by the food, rhe service and the atmosphere of this cute little place. I must admit the location was giving me reservations. I was here for an event. The staff were friendly. The food was very good. I had a Ruben sandwich and then took pizza home to the family. Do recommend and will return.
Hey friends! This food was so fresh and tasty, I was still thinking about it hours later! My colleague suggested we stop by after a site visit, and I’m glad we did because it turned out to be a real treat. I decided on the club sandwich, and let me tell you, it was not only delicious but also a huge portion. The bread was soft and fresh, the layers of meat and vegetables were stacked generously, and everything was balanced perfectly. I’m pretty sure it even came with a pickle on the side, which was a nice touch that made the whole plate feel complete. I also tried one of their deviled eggs. Honestly, it was a little too plain for my taste, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience because everything else was outstanding. The flavors were bright, the presentation was clean, and you could tell that the ingredients were thoughtfully chosen. It’s definitely more of a gourmet sandwich spot, so the prices are higher than somewhere like ThunderCloud, but I felt it was worth it for the quality and freshness. I’d absolutely recommend stopping by when you want something a little more special than your average lunch.
I got a sandwich and pizza to test them both and they're both dynamite. Both were super solid and came out quickly even though it was lunch rush. Everybody I talked with while there really cared about what they were doing and it showed. Bathrooms were immaculate. The atmosphere was slightly lacking( no decorations really ) but I'm absolutely going back there again. Paid 16 bucks and left uncomfortably full.
I came here at the recommendation of a food group I’m in, multiple people said this place had the best club sandwich in Austin. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions. I got the club and a bowl of chicken tortilla soup, their soup of the day. My only complaint is that I love pickles in my sandwich and they give you a spear on the side. However, that didn’t take away from the sandwich at all, it was a really good classic club. The tortilla soup was also great! I can’t wait to go back here and try what else they have. I also went to the East Austin location on a rainy day, it wasn’t crowded at all but there was more than enough a seating and very kid friendly.
We randomly chose this place from Google Maps, and we made the right decision. The Reuben had wonderful and soft rye. The potato salad was the perfect balance of ingredients. The carrot cake had big pieces and was super soft. I wish we lived closer to Austin and could come back frequently.
I ordered a medium speciality #7 pie with mushrooms for pick up. They said they normally do not take orders less than 3 pies but they were kind enough to take my order. I paid with my CC over the phone. The pie was fresh and out the oven when I came into the restaurant. The place also has plenty of seating and was very clean. My pie was ready and I bought a chocolate cookies to go since it looked so good. The pizza was very fresh and delicious. The sauce was tangy , zesty, and salted like a NY slice. There was a good fold to it, it wasn’t as crunchy as I’d like but nothing an air fryer can’t fix. It was also thin. The taste is very good and far superior to home slice. I’m from NYC born and raised so this was a great find. The cookie was big, chunky with walnuts and chewy in the inside and crunchy on the outside. I can’t wait to come back!!!
Usually eat meat, but once a month I indulge with some carbs. On this day, I had a lot, haha. The pizza was excellent but the sub sandwich was amazing. It’s worth the trip there alone. Carrot cake was a nice touch too. The staff is outstanding and the facility is very clean and welcoming. If you like pizza and sandwiches, I highly recommend this place. Come out and support your local restaurants and avoid chains.
The Rueben was big and delicious, I took half of it to go. The special pizza of the day was pepperoni and mushrooms and was also very good. My son had the Pastrami sandwich which was also delicious. We ordered at the counter and the food was brought out to our table. Great deli to bring your family to for a family meal. It was not a very noisy place so it was enjoyable.
I kept hearing of little deli and it took me wayyy to long to finally get here to see what the hype is about. The sandwhich and soup fulfilled all of my dreams! The tomato soup was so creamy and delicious. This is a meal that will live in my brain rent free.
Really tasty all around. The ingredients for the pizza and Italian sub tasted fresh. Crust of the pizza is on the thinner side, crisp on the exterior and soft on the inside. Pizza sauce isn't too sweet or salty. great slice. Hoagie bread was so soft with a slight chew. I really enjoyed how cold the ingredients were, because when I get an Italian sub, I want it to almost be refreshing if that makes sense. I will definitely be back to try their desserts and more sub options.
Delicious pizzas at a cute and quiet neighborhood. The seating area is also very comfortable. Clean and lightness of the restaurant just make the food even looks better
Our party of 4 dropped in on a Tuesday for a quick lunch before heading to the airport. We arrived a little after 11:00am and immediately placed our order which consisted of a Ruben sandwich; a turkey, cheese, bacon and avocado sandwich and a slice of pizza. The staff cheerfully took out order and answered our questions. Our timing was great because we didn't have to wait long at all. There closer to noon, a line formed and it took a bit longer to be served. We really enjoyed our food and certainly recommend this spot.
Clean spot, with great food. I felt like the basic Italian was too basic… needed more flavor. As for the Reuben, it was solid, but I would NOT recommend ordering sides—not only did they need more flavor (more acid in the slaw and potato salad) but you’re getting charged almost $3 for 4 ounces of the sides ($2.75 if I recollect). I would need the sides to be bigger AND more flavorful to justify that!
Had a great team lunch here. Atmosphere was great for that. It is loud if looking to have conversation. Food was great. I had tomato basil soup with grilled. A coworker had club sandwich, it was huge and looked great. She really liked it. Couple of the guys got pizza that was filling and they liked. Looked really good. Definitely going back.
Food is great, which, of course, is very important. The cashier was not very friendly, maybe he was having a bad day. When I specifically asked for a medium pizza box to take home our leftovers, 3 pizza slices, half a calzone, and half a large sub, I was instead given paper plates, 3 small foil squares, and 2 paper bags to pack up everything individually. I understand controlling paper cost, which is one of a restaurants' major expenses. At the same time, we spent over $100 and gave a fair tip. I do not understand this logic.
Semi disappointing experience! 😞 My pizza slice was good. HOWEVER, I hate spending my money food that wasnt what I wanted gggrrrrr. I did a to go order and I was trying to point to what dessert I wanted and the guy didnt look at it he just told me to come to the other side. I assumed I was getting a regular chocolate chip cookie because the name of the item on the menu was chewey chocolate chip cookie. I get home and pull out my cookie and its one of those brownie cookies riddled with HUGE CHUNKS of walnuts BLEH! I freakin hate nuts in my desserts. I also just want wanted a regular cookie. Nothing about that cookie had chocolate chips in it so I'm confused why it was called that. Also what if I was allergic to nuts as there's nothing on your menu that says that this cookie has nuts in it especially if your employee is not going to look at what they're grabbing for the patron. Could have been a huge lawsuit. Either I got the wrong thing or you'll need to label your items correctly. I went to grab the cookie and it was extremely dry and crumbled in my hand. Waste of money as I tossed it. Pissed!
