Pho Thaison Vietnamese Cuisine Austin Reviews
I had the chicken lemongrass vermicelli, and it was delicious! The food was brought out quickly, and our waiter was very friendly. I'd definitely go back.
Wow, this is my first time here I didn’t come in expecting much just hopefully a decentPho. And the pho was definitely good. What was most impressive were the fried pork belly baos ! Definitely the best baos I’ve had in Austin very much recommended. I appreciated the pho because they had the ability to choose three meats. I got the fatty brisket, meatballs, and tendons, which is the perfect trifecta most places do not give this option so I really appreciate it and will definitely come back. Also, the service is some of the fastest I’ve ever had. I got both of my orders in less than 10 minutes, which was impressive.
Chicken Phô hit the spot. An 18 minute walk from Aloft SW Hotel OR 4 minute Uber. Do the Uber because Brodie is a tricky street to cross abd Austin sun still thinks it is summer. I had Jasmine tea and th phô and so relaxing. There is a little bar knside if you want drink. Good place to dine alone/with children or a partner. Service is exceptional.
Overall I like this place. The server was nice and professional. Unfortunately she was the only one. Yes it wasn't very busy, but another server would have helped. Relaxed atmosphere. The Vegan Curry was yummy, but could have been spicier out of the kitchen (I added siracha). Sorry for the Pic after I devoured most of it. Good vegan selection and they did modifications for our party with no issues.
I really like their beef pho as well as their tofu pad thai! I got my food to go as I prefer to watch a movie while I eat in this weather so I didn’t spend too much time inside the restaurant, but I think going forward I’m going to continue to order my food to-go. There isn’t inherently wrong with the atmosphere, but it wasn’t super homey or welcoming like I expect at this kind of restaurant.
Tried for the first time today at lunch. The pork belly steamed buns were tasty, but one was a bit dry. They were both a bit light on the hoisin sauce, however once adding a bit more it was delicious. My wife got a rainbow roll and the crab rangoon for lunch. She said the rainbow roll was just okay, but the crab rangoon were amazing. I got the beef pho and it was wonderful. The broth was rich and not too salty, while the thin sliced beef was superb. The kitchen forgot to put a meatball in the bowl, but once I asked the waiter, he was very quick to apologize and rectify it. I will definitely try this place again.
The service recently has been a lot better than in the past. Worth trying again. Good neighborhood small business, I am happy to support
Made a pick-up order for chicken pho. The broth was separate like they do at most places when you order pick-up or To-Go. The broth was delicious, but I should have asked for all white meat because I do not prefer darker meat or fatty pieces. I was disappointed that the chicken was extremely dry and lacked flavor and I only got one small piece of lime that was also dry and didn’t have much juice at all. I also didn’t get but one stem of Thai basil and a bunch of sprouts, cilantro and huge jalapeño slices. Definitely ask for more limes and Thai basil. The service was nice and quick. Nice friendly atmosphere.
Food portion is very small. Overcooked my noodle and it’s hard. Chicken was hard. I got Singapore chicken, it was 2/10. The beef noodle curry and it was also terrible. Quality has gone down. Will not return.
So bummed out on this place. Ordered 6 items in total. 2 beef pho, Crab Rangoons, and 3 sushi rolls which consisted of the Mekong Dragon Roll, Veggie Tempura Roll, and the Alaska Roll. The only edible items were the beef pho, though the combination of meats we chose were incorrect. The crab rangoons tasted like they were fried yesterday and sat under a heat lamp until they unfortunately made there way into our Uber delivery. The sushi also tasted like it was made a week ago, sat in a walk-in fridge, uncovered, then drenched in sauce and put in our bag. These rolls make H.E.B sushi look like they were prepared by the chefs of Uchi. I truly hope no one else has an experience this bad. It's heartbreaking to throw $90 worth of untouched food in the trash. Please do better for your customers. Absolutely no one deserves this quality of food.
