The Roof Top on 6th Austin Reviews
Went to this bar on Halloween and had a blast! I like that it is hidden but I hope that doesn't hinder business because it is a cool bar! Has a dance floor and overlooks 6th street!
Absolutely had the best time the drinks were good best vibes out of all the clubs will define returning and bringing more friends. The dj idk what's his name but you were definitely my fave part of the night he played songs that I wanted to hear with no fuss and literally got on my FaceTime call and woot woot with me😂😂😂 also kept the creepy dude away from me while I was in my own world dancing. Thank you rooftop 💅❤️

I loved that there was so much open space on a busy night. The drinks were great and you had the option of hanging out in the crowd or finding a quiet spot on the balcony. Definitely dress a little nicer for this place though. I definitely felt a little out of place in my hoodie but I'm sure no one really cared.
Appearances can be deceiving. But if your walking down the sidewalk on Barton Springs rd, like I was, you will be tempted to go in there. I recommend it.

Nice enough. Fun environment. Fairly clean. But bit rude they way they push people out. My wife was feeling sick so I asked for some paper napkins. Said they can't give. Donno what that makes them loose basic decency and courtesy

Like the many reviews down below, I also got my brand new phone stolen here. They’re very slick with it, very much an inside job, all happened in the span of 5 min. I was told to come back at 2am to look for my phone, which I did, and was promptly cursed at to leave at 2:02. If it’s a matter of getting home, I’ve also worked in the nightlife industry and I would’ve never treated a customer like this just to get home fast. Phone location was turned on in Houston, then after that nothing. Cops will not be able to help you. Do not go here ESPECIALLY if you’re just visiting, getting a phone whilst traveling is not easy.

Me and 5 other people got their phone stolen when I came, seems to be a common issue at this bar. Don't think they care much about it being a reoccurence.
The bouncer working here followed us in the bar and then tried grabbing my friend’s waist to make her dance with him. When she pulled away from him and asked him not to touch her, he got mad and forced her to leave the bar. It’s sad to see workers here abuse their power to pressure women to do things without consent. Also, there are cockroaches in the bathroom.
Hey if you need your purse or iPhone stolen, this is the place to be! Read their yelp reviews, it's been going on for at least 6 years. Inside job, with video surveillance this should not be an issue this long. They don't answer phones either
I am currently leaving this bar because one of the bouncers was removing a boy for disorderly conduct (completely understandable) but the bouncer was so aggresive in removing the boy that he elbowed me and a friend off a 5 foot elevated surface. We both hit our heads on the ground and I called the bouncer out and he denied it. Horrible bar. Do not come here.
Not even a real rooftop bar, this is a top floor of a building where part of the roof was removed (or fell in) to allow a level of moonlight to permeate the atmosphere. Way less cool that it seems. The place tries to be upscale, but the setup would be much more inviting if the space was utilized to make an actual party bar. The part of town does not support a fake upscale vibe, and the techno music feels like it belongs in a former Eastern Bloc country.
Not recommended. An employee at this bar, a taller white guy with a mullet, assualted me and caused serious injuries for which I am filing a police report. A bratty college girl was mad because I wouldn't buy her a drink so she complained to this employee and he tackled me on the concrete floor after I said I was going to finish the drink I just bought before I left. I sustained serious injuries from the fall.
Extremely aggressive staff. I was told to get the f***k out multiple times at 2am. Look, I understand you need to clear your bar out, but there’s a proper way/manner to talk to your paying customers. I asked the guy what his name was after he had talked to me in such a grossly disrespectful manner, but he was too terrified to tell me his name. His little bartender buddies told me his name was “Guillermo” and then another said “I think it’s Ryan”. I don’t know what his name is (if you’re the owner and want to reach out, I’m sure I could easily point his face out). I’ve been living in Austin for 7 years and I have never felt so disrespected as a woman and most importantly as a paying customer. Happy to discuss this incident with the owner and provide more details. You’re better off visiting The Library.
DO NOT COME HERE! My phone was sneakily stolen from my pocket, and two other people's phones were stolen that same night! If you read the rest of the reviews below, you'll see how often this happens here and has been for a long time. Staff didn't seem fazed or to even care.
if you're interested in getting your phone stolen this is the place for you! the management of the bar has been aware of this for years and they have done nothing to help solve this issue. even if your phone is securely stored in your purse you are not safe. i have heard this happening to other people and now it happened to me.
They are discriminated against people that didn’t dress fancy. They did not let me enter their bar because I wrap my hair. Discrimination is not OK. You judge people the way they look they don’t know who I am because I’ll wrap my hair that discriminated against me that cannot enter their bar. Me and my family and friends so we never entered that bar again.
Yep, as of October 2025 phones still getting stolen dont go here for your belonging's sake. Avoid like the plauge
Thief den, My friend got her phone stolen, happens often to people here according to the reviews. They let minors in they don’t care about fake ids, Hard to even move it’s way too packed- no capacity management. Hard to breathe because of all the people way too hot inside as well. Also the poles don’t spin
My daughter and her friends were here for a fun night and got her phones stolen. A few of them went back a second time with another group of friends and guess what? Phones were stolen again. This second time the phones had trackers and find-my-phone on. Where did the phones ping? First in a BestBuy in Houston. We called Houston police and, unlike lazy Austin Police, they did respond. Unfortunately, by the time they got to the BestBuy phones had been picked up. The girls followed the phones for a few days and the phones ended up in Miami!! Now, no one bothers to take just two phones cross country from Austin. That is basically organized crime and very likely the phones were with a shipment. Based on all the complains I see here of the same issue, this bar (and owners) have to know what’s going on and that it is organized crime. Even worse, I’m surprised Austin Police cannot see a pattern; thus they may be in it as well. So do yourself a favor and don’t go to this bar.
STOLEN PHONES! I've had my phone stolen here two times now in the span of one month. The second time I got my phone stolen two girls came up to me asking if I had seen their phones. This seems to be a reoccurring problem in this place. The bar is also very much aware and still does nothing.
