The Vegan Nom Austin Reviews
Y'all. This food is RIDICULOUSLY delicious. I cannot believe how well seasoned and flavorful absolutely everything is. I got the Super Fresco and Del Ray tacos, as well as the queso with chips. The super fresco was my absolute favorite, and it makes Taco Bell's cheesy gordita crunch look pitiful. I love the seating with the water fans to keep you cool, and my pup enjoyed being out there with me.
Friendly people making great vegan grub! Expect a wait since they make everything to-order, but hanging out under the water misters is time well spent. We had the KBBQ burrito and Jorge's nachos which were both perfect in spices and topped generously. Finally returned today for the Big Brunch Burrito and Jorge's nachos again, and for the tots at The Vegan Junk Food truck. So goooood!
These were quite possibly the best tacos I had in Austin, vegan or otherwise, during my 4 day visit/quest to eat tacos for every meal. Came for breakfast and got the grilled avocado reale, rockin migas, and chorizo breakfast taco. Was a bit chilly and I was one of the only ones here on a cold weekday morning, but I had fun sitting outside. Took around 5 min for the taco to come out. Love all the sweet potato and kale options! All the flavors were well-balanced, good texture, good spice level. Hot sauces were great and I added lots as always. If I lived in Austin, I’d be a regular! Lots more items I wished I had time to try.
I'm obsessed with this place - I am not vegan, but the tacos here are so incredibly flavorful that I think about them more often than their meatfull alternatives. The staff is also always so incredibly lovely. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
You can't go wrong. Great music too in the sitting area. The Burrito was very filling. The fish and Korean tacos are excellent. Will definitely be back.
The Vegan Nom is pretty wild. I hadn't tried it for several years so I was curious to see if I'd still like it. Not gonna to lie, the food that we ordered was HEAVY. The crunch wrap was my fav - excellent flavor and textures and not too heavy at all. We also had the grilled avocado real ($6) and rockin migas ($5). The amount of food you get per taco is impressive. The food was really tasty with excellent flavor and also quite heavy (did I mention that already? ha) It's located in the vegan nom trailer park which was fun and my first time visiting. There are a few other places that also sell pizza and dessert, with picnic tables in the center.
I’ve been going to Vegan Nom for the last two years, and it’s become one of my regular spots. It’s right next to my studio, and their tacos are always fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. My favorite is the Avocado Reale; I get it almost every time. The staff is always on point with both the food and the service. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Vegan Nom is by far the best vegan Mexican food I’ve ever had and my favorite spot to eat in all of Austin!!! It is truly addictive. Everything on the menu is fantastic - try it all! I promise you won’t regret it. Beef nachos are my favorite.
staying at a hotel nearby and couldn't bring myself to leave, so tired. luckily they deliver. i should have ordered more! the super fresco is sooo good! i would order 10 more if i could! ordered delivery and it worked great. the fish taco was really good too.
I tried this place for the first time today, and it was great! I wanted to try a few different protein options, so I ordered the KBBQ nachos, Birdie Sanders, and Del Rey Fish taco which were all amazing. The Birdie Sanders was a shredded meat alternative which was surprising but super tasty, and the KBBQ nachos were really balanced. I’d definitely order again!
This was on my list to try before even coming to town. I ordered the tofu seitan bacon taco and the fish tacos. Both were AMAZING. The chipotle sauce was delicious. I wish I took photos but I was so hungry I dived right in so here’s some art instead. This was very art heavy so there was amazing food plus beautiful views. And the staff was so helpful and friendly. I’ll have to be back because this is not a one and done kind of stop. Also, very affordable vegan options for those who love vegan food but don’t want ridiculous prices!
Ordered an insanely delicious crunch wrap. It was perfectly layered, the tortilla was crispy where it was grilled and soft on the inside. A lil bit of heat (probably not spicy to most) and flavorful. I'm lucky I don't live in Austin, I'd visit this place a couple of times a week. I will have to pass by on my way outta town so I'll be back!
I couldn’t believe it: vegan food trucks parked to enjoy some delicious bites while outside and enjoying dope mural art and listening to good tunes. It was after 7, dark and cold which meant we had the place to ourselves. While each truck had things we wanted to try, i came here specifically for the Vegan Nom and 🤩 while i wanted to try everything, I had the Birdie Sanders and holy YUM! Will be back!

We've been here a few times, and there's one word to describe the food: flavorful. I never miss eating meat when I dine here. We had the KBBQ Tacos and the Del Rey Fish Tacos, and both were exceptional. In the past, I've tried their KBBQ Nachos, which are also out of this world. The service is great, and the ambiance is fitting for a spot inside a vegan food truck park.
Great options for vegetarians/vegans! The nachos I ordered were the Birdie Sanders and are incredibly delicious. They are so tasty and spicy. The only criticism is the chips got soggy because it was so much food I couldn’t eat them fast enough. I also ordered the grilled avocado taco. It was pretty good I ate it between bites of the nachos. I think the nachos are better than the taco and I’m usually a taco girl. Highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is chill AF and the staff is so friendly
The Vegan Nom is a great casual taco spot on the east side and a solid win for anyone looking for late-night vegan eats in Austin. The atmosphere has that classic Austin food truck charm—laid-back, colorful, and a little funky in a good way. It’s a great place to grab food with friends or enjoy a quick bite outdoors. We ordered all five of their signature tacos to try a little bit of everything, and the standout for us was definitely the vegan fish taco. The texture was surprisingly close to real fish and the flavor was perfectly seasoned with a nice balance of tang and crunch. The sauces they use really bring everything together, especially their creamy jalapeño sauce—highly recommend adding it to whatever you order! One more thing I appreciate: they’re open until 10 PM, which makes it a lifesaver for late eaters who still want something flavorful and plant-based. 🌮🌱
