This spot has the nicest staff who make you feel welcome. The dairy-free ice cream is absolutely delicious and vegan-friendly, with lots of tasty options. The atmosphere is upbeat, full of vibrant colors and a fun vibe that makes hanging out here extra enjoyable. Definitely a place worth checking out!

If you're looking for a candy store that has it all, look no further than Yummi Joy! This place has an incredible variety of options, from prepackaged treats to bulk candy by the pound. But that's not all - they also serve Gati ice cream, a local dairy-free ice cream company that is absolutely amazing. I was also blown away by how good the homemade artisan fudge and the handcrafted beverages looked. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Prices were fair, too, especially considering the high quality of the products. We tried one of the truffles and toffee pretzels, and they were absolutely delicious. The décor is also fun and wacky, making it a cool spot to hang out and enjoy some sweet treats. Overall, Yummi Joy is a must-visit for anyone who loves candy and treats. Highly recommend!

OMG I loveeee vegan ice cream, especially they use coconut milk as ice-cream base. Usually, other shops use soy-based or oat milk-based, it would make vegan icecream more milky and creamy. Vegan ice-cream here is not sweet at all, I tried 3 flavors, my favorite is mango lime ^^ You should try before getting triple scoops like us 🤓

The mango ice-cream was amazing!!! Also their chocolate "bonbon" or truffles are so good!!! I love the mint one. Excellent place and the services was amazing! I dont remember the name of the server but she was great!

So cute! Kind of a cool vintage feel. A must-see! The owners and employees are super friendly! We bought a bunch of candy in bulk. They have vegan options for candy, fudge and ice cream. The vegan rocky road fudge and ice cream are to die for. Totally worth it to just go there for that. Would go again!

Everyone was very friendly, and they let our children try the ice cream since it is vegan. Our son loved the chocolate, but our daughter wasn't a fan. But that was okay because they had so many candy choices, so she was fine. By the time I was ready to take a photo, our son had already devoured his cone.

Yummi Joy was so great!! Oh my god they had sweet ritual ice cream and all the cute cones and it was so perfect. Also, there was one woman who worked there and she was one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. She was just so sweet and let me try everything and gave me a good price for three scoops plus the cone. This place is so cute and I loved it. The vegan ice cream was A+

Great candy store....found a lot of cute and odd candies in the middle of down town. Photos included ADA wheelchair accessible. Fun stop.

Featuring vegan ice cream from Sweet Ritual, walls of self serve candy classics, and house-made fudge, Yummi Joy finally fills the cavity in Downtown's sweet tooth scene. Neighboring partner business ToyJoy (Austin's staple for all things quirky and fun), Yummi Joy goes beyond the world of treats with over the counter coffee/espresso service, and vegan softserve milkshakes for the after work blues. This colorful sugar source is sure to delight locals and tourists alike!

Received a voucher for one free scoop of ice cream after making a purchase at the Austin Rocks gift shop down the street. I had the Cookie Monster and it was delicious.

This candy store is very cute, with all sorts of different confectionaries. Even if you're not vegan, definitely give their ice cream a try! The flavors they have are strong and sweet, just like regular ice cream. It's not every day you get to find a shop as much soul as this one, so check it out sometime.

A vintage looking candy shop with lots of interesting products. Good location for small gifts if you are traveling. Their ice cream is worth a try as well.

Anytime we are on 2nd street, we stop by Yummi Joy for some vegan ice cream. Our daughter loves it, and they make their own gluten-free cones, too. Great place for anyone who has celiac disease. The espresso is great also! Lots of novelty candies and harder to find brands.

Very cute candy store/ ice cream shop. Lots of candy variety and some toys. There was a little something for everyone coffee, ice cream fudge and candy. Huge chocolate covered sweets displayed. Definitely would go back.

Even though in a small space next to Toy Joy in downtown Austin, Yummi Joy makes good use of the space. There's ice cream, specialty soda, gummies and even candy that you spray on your tongue to make it different colors. I found a few gummy treats for my five-year-old daughter and the prices weren't as outrageous as expected.

Very good vegan ice cream - tastes a bit as if most flavors are based on coconut milk. Love the lavender caramel 😍

I imagine the staff might have been exhausted from the eclipse-viewing tourist crowds, but I can merely report my experience. The store did have lots of unusual candy brands, but nothing in particular appealed to me so I decided to have some of their vegan ice cream, especially because I appreciate their decision to serve *only* a vegan ice cream brand. After I ordered the cone, asking for about half the usual amount of ice cream because I wanted to eat less sugar, the server (I'm serious) refused to give me the *smaller* amount of ice cream that I requested on my cone. (No, I had not accepted the cone and then changed my mind - I do understand that nuance of sanitation - I hadn't touched the cone, I asked twice and I did not ask to be charged less.) This unpleasant interaction marred what would have been a fun visit to the Yummi Joy store. Oh but the ice cream was very good, so I do recommend that you try it!

Workers are not so friendly. The place is so small it’s hard to get around with all the people going in and out. Ice cream was all melted when they served it. (They all taste like coconut because they are coconut based so don’t except to taste anything else) The fudge we ordered wasn’t really that good either, even though they look so delicious. Don’t think I’ll be going back or recommend it to anyone
