From the moment I walked into Terrible Eddie’s, it felt like home. It’s a true, authentic Italian deli with a warm and welcoming vibe that you don’t come across often. The food is impeccable, the bread is absolutely phenomenal, and the hospitality is on another level. You can feel the love and pride in everything they do—definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to.

The Italian sub was 🔥—fresh bread, quality meats, and packed with flavor. Met Eddie himself too—super welcoming, great hospitality, and top-tier customer service. Easily one of the best sandwich spots out here. Definitely coming back.

The owner went next door to bakery and got fresh bread with seeds for my wife's sandwich. I asked him how is their shrimp parm and he was actually eating it. So good, wife had Salami, sweet soppresato and homemade roasted peppers like Aunt Babe made from Canarsie. Delish. Will be back. Thank you for being a gentleman and delivering on quality. My man. Have a great weekend and good luck. Good add in Annadale. *****

Absolutely delicious! We live on the north shore and drove across the island to try their sandwich... the roast beef with the "motor oil" gravy was outta sight.

My new favorite place. First time here and i already can’t wait to try another sandwich. I ordered the Terrible Eddie (i added balsamic glaze). The bread was perfect and the basil mix was fantastic. Staff were excellent. Made me feel like i was a regular. Got to meet the man himself and was treated to an espresso.

I’ve been meaning to try Terrible Eddie’s for some time now. They have a really active social media presence and are located close to me, so I finally decided to stop in — and I’m glad I did. First off, the whole vibe of the zangwiche ( Terrible Eddie lingo) shop is awesome. There are funny, clever signs all throughout the place, and you can tell they put a lot of personality and passion into what they do. It doesn’t feel like your average sandwich shop. Since it was my first visit, I figured it was only right to try the “Terrible Eddie” zangwiche itself. Let me just say… this thing is incredible. Perfectly cooked chicken cutlet layered with fresh mozzarella, EVOO, and everything worked together perfectly. The flavor was outstanding. The portion size is massive too — honestly big enough for two or even three people. I only ate half for lunch, but it took serious self-control not to crush the second half right away. I’ll definitely be back, and next time I’m bringing my kids so we can try the cheeseteaks and some of the other zangwiches on the menu.

Have been to this place a few times, and they have yet to let me down! Will absolutely be there again. Bread is about the best anywhere, and the quality of the meats and veggies is incredible. Just go! You won't be disappointed.

We have ordered a few times … AWESOME, is the best way to describe the hero’s! They must weigh 2 pounds if not more! A zillion different selections and fresh every time. We are making them the “Un-official”, Official Hero Shop of Visconti Motorsports!!

Been going to Lioni’s in Brooklyn for many years. So glad they are here in Staten Island. They never disappoint. Any sandwich on the menu is a great choice, or build your own. Some of the best fresh mozz you’ll find anywhere.

My mother had ordered from Brooklyn Italian Heroes for a 30th birthday celebration for me. She ordered a 6 foot American hero, Eggplant wraps, a 4 foot Grilled Chicken hero, Potato Croquettes, Broccoli Rabe, Grilled Vegetables and rice balls. Everything was delicious. The heroes came cut up on platters already which was great. Very convenient and saved so much space The bread on the heroes tasted like it was just baked. It was nice and soft but it had a bite to it. The cold cuts tasted delicious and everything was fresh as could be. This was our first time ordering from Brooklyn Italian Heroes and I'm so glad we did! We will be coming back soon! Everyone at the party enjoyed the sandwiches and wraps.

When I worked in Brooklyn Lioni's was a weekly lunch place. I got used to reading the wall to see what to order. I tried this location today, ordered the #103. Much to my dismay, the sandwich maker forgot the provolone. Girls at the counter are sweet. I'll be back but you can bet I'll be watching closely as they make the sandwich.

I’ve been seeing the hype of this place all over Facebook so me & my wife gave it a shot & I understand why everyone’s so excited! Everyone in there was more friendly than the next & the chicken cutlet sandwich we got was exactly what we were in the mood for.

My boyfriend saw this shop on Staten Island Food and wouldn’t stop talking about how good it looked for weeks. I came to visit and we got the #54 on Friday and it was so great that he giggled while eating. Each ingredient would be outstanding on its own but combined…good Lord. We didn’t even talk to each other because we enjoyed eating our sandwich so much! The chicken was well seasoned, the barbecue sauce was unique, and the bread was absolutely perfect! Crispy and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. We loved it so much that we went back today, two days later, for a #136, and we cannot wait to try all 150! The best part-the sandwich had just enough dressing to be not dry but not so much that it’s soggy. I can’t recommend the service and the food here enough!!!

Never been to the one in Brooklyn but have heard nothing but great things. Got to stop by today and it was amazing! Over 150+ choices (so go there with time to decide or think ahead because you will not know which to choose lol) packed out hero that was enough to feed easily 2-3 people. Can't wait to try something else! Best smoked mozzarella I have ever had to date. Best of luck and I am pretty sure you will be have a line wrapped outside soon enough.

Really good hero, bread was fresh and crispy. Only bad thing I could say about it was the over seasoning. I guess they put salt and pepper, was just too much salt and I like salt. Besides that it was delicious. This hero is #11a. I’ll definitely be back.

Trying to decide what was better at Terrible Eddy’s in Annadale—shooting the shit with Eddie himself or the absolutely phenomenal roast pork sandwich with provolone and broccoli rabe, dipped in a side of au jus. Honestly, it’s too close to call. Growing up just blocks away and being back in the old neighborhood set the stage perfectly. Add in a complimentary espresso while I waited for my hero, and it was already a special visit before the food even landed. When I tell you this sandwich was nearly perfect, I mean it. The bread was spot on, the pork was juicy and packed with flavor, and everything just worked. If I’m being hyper-critical, I would’ve taken a touch less meat for slightly more cheese and broccoli rabe—but that’s nitpicking at a very high level. This hero easily cracks my top two pork sandwiches of all time, and for me it’s a straight coin flip between this and DiNic’s at Reading Terminal Market in Philly—and that’s about as high praise as it gets. If you’re anywhere near Annadale, this is a must-try. No question.

Walked into the shop for the first time today, and was greeted by the wonderful staff and felt welcomed in, like family would welcome one. I met Eddie, and he was a pleasure to talk to! Not the to mention, the freshly made tuna salad sandwhich— was out of this world. I will be back to try more sandwiches!

Terrible Eddie’s is an amazing sandwich shop. This isn’t your normal deli or bodega. You are going to get quality and a nice sized sandwich. I tried the terrible eds It was so good they cook the chicken cutlets while you’re there and you can tell everything is fresh. They aren’t kidding when they say the sandwich will feed two people. The staff that was there were top notch. Looking forward on going back.

Been seeing all the buzz about the new old-school sub shop in Staten Island — Terrible Eddie’s — so I had to check it out. Critics are calling it the best sub shop in the tri-state area… and they’re 100% right! The subs are insane — bread fresh out of the oven, portions huge, and everything made with real care. You can tell it’s family-owned and not some corporate chain. Met Eddie himself and you can see how much pride he takes in every sandwich. From the first bite, you know this guy pours his heart into it. If you love a legit sub, this place is worth the trip from Jersey!

Walked in for the first time was very clean, fair room temperature, never had a hero there asked what their most popular was, it must be a frequent question because they had their four favorite which I appreciated. Asked which was the counter person favorite was she said # 54 and let me tell you it was an amazing hero!!! Bbq bacon mozzarella chicken cutlet I asked if they could add some lettuce, tomato and jalapeños she said Np!! It was hands down best hero I’ve had thus far!!! It was crisp and bbq flavor was beyond my expectations!!!!

****Have to do research on the claim about their Facebook comments.... Will revisit this review first two weeks of June. Stopped by here randomly for some food, and ordered a random ssif that sounded good to me. I got #62(there's so many sandwiches🤯). My sandwich happened to be warned and has toasted bread. The prosciutto and chicken were great along with their sauce. The flavor is great and the food taste fresh. If i had to get it again, the only thing i would change is getting the mozzarella cold instead of melted. If you are in need of sandwiches stop here at any time.... Sandwich was damn good.

Everything was great. We had Big Mike make our heros. There was a perfect amount of fixings on the hero. Nice and neat. The meat/roast beef and cold cuts were quality and very fresh. The bread was amazing (very important trait when it comes to heros) He came around and checked on how we were doing and made sure we were comfortable. I'd certainly recommend this place. Bring your appetite because the heros are large.

I went to terrible Eddies looking to cater my work Christmas party that was being held at my house! Immediately, Michael and Rocky came to help me plan what I can get. I had a limited budget! I ended up ordering, a tray of chicken Marsala and they recommended a tray of assorted sandwiches! Although the name of the shop is called Terrible Eddie’s, the food is far from terrible! My co-workers, all loved the food, and kept asking where I got the food from! It’s a little hidden gem in the town of Annadale, right near the Annadale bakery! This will be my new go to place for all of my catering needs, or just to go and pick up some sandwiches! Michael and Rocky were so accommodating! They really helped make my Christmas party a success! Thanks guys!

Excellent sandwich. Went with the gravy train, roast beef was cooked to perfection!!!! Sliced paper thin! Went with seeded Italian bread..you can choose unseeded if you like. Fresh mozz and the Au jus was AMAZING! Dunked and ate 😋 that delicious sandwich like it was my last meal 😂. It’s a big sandwich…you won’t be disappointed. Terrible Eddie’s is one of the best sandwich spots around. The owners and entire staff are friendly, welcoming, and always provide great service. Tried Terrible Eddie’s yesterday for the first time and had a great experience from start to finish! I spoke with a gentleman named Spider behind the counter who gave me a ton of awesome recommendations. He said his personal favorite was the Gravy Train on garlic bread with Cooper Sharp and chopped stuffed breadcrumb peppers — and wow, what a recommendation! The sandwich was absolutely delicious (and huge!). I could only finish half, and the other half made for an amazing lunch the next day — just as good reheated. I also got to chat with Eddie, the owner, and you can tell he truly cares about what comes out of his kitchen and what his customers are eating. Great food, great people, and great vibes all around. I’ll definitely be back again soon

My first time at Terrible Eddie’s. Slight wait to put your order in but well worth it. I had the Anthony Cumia hero. Wish I knew this spot existed before today’s visit. Will definitely be going back.

Terrible Eddie's serves very good food that's definitely the highlight. Unfortunately, the service and atmosphere are both just average and don't match the quality of the food. Worth visiting for the good eats, but don't expect much from the setting or staff.

I hate to leave a less than stellar review but at this price point, I gotta. So the other day I placed an order for three heroes. It was my third time ordering and I’ve been raving about the place to the guys I work with. I told one of the guys to get a terrible Eddie because it was phenomenal the last two times I got it . It’s the namesake sandwich ! What else is there to say. Unfortunately, whoever made the sandwich this time decided of their own volition to omit the Lionis basil breadcrumb mixture from the hero and it ended up just being a chicken cutlet with mozz and prosciutto. If I paid 10$ for the hero I’d say whatever but for 27$ before tax and tip it’s unnaceptable. Messing up the sandwich you’re named after is like making a pizza with no crust or cheese. There’s only four ingredients on the hero. How does that happen?

The Sandwhich was good but the price unfortunately is not. There are better places that charge less than $20 for a hero. I will not be going back just because of the pricing. The Sandwhich is not worth the cost

Menu too large with a lot of very similar items makes it hard to decide. The marinara sauce has way too many onions and the chicken cutlets were a bit too stiff with an interesting smokey flavor. I also ordered a rice ball. The center just had some beef only and was a little dry. I want this place to survive and thrive. This neighborhood needed a good sandwich shop. I will keep on trying different items. I 💕 ked the bread too.

As a service industry, the attitude is very bad, arrogant and no good.

Terrible experience at Terrible Eddie’s. Eddie is unbelievably rude not only to customers, but to his own staff right in front of everyone. The atmosphere is uncomfortable because he’s constantly acting aggressive and disrespectful. The food is completely overpriced, and honestly not even worth it. On top of that, he always appears intoxicated, which makes the whole place feel unprofessional and chaotic. My wife and I won’t be coming back.

Very disappointing. Both sandwiches were not good. One was soaked in oil and tasteless. The other sandwich I got had steak that tasted really really bad like it had gone rotten. The sandwiches are completely overpriced for what you get. I will not go back.

Just went there today for first time. NOTHING LIKE BROOKLYN LOCATION. SANDWICHES ARE THIN AF. There was a 12 year old making my sandwich. No joke. Rather drive into brooklyn. Way worth it. If I'm getting a 20 dollar sandwich I want it with more then 1 slice of eggplant. Rip off.

When we heard about Lioni’s heroes being on Staten Island; my co-workers and I were excited to order. The heroes do not stack up to the original in Brooklyn. They state they have fresh Lioni’s Mozzarella; they do not. They have this weird sliced squared Mozzarella that was probably fresh over 2 weeks before they sold it. I’ve never seen old, sliced, rubbery, squared mozzarella be called fresh. The taste was disgusting. We ordered four sandwiches with one common ingredient “Fresh” Lioni’s mozzarella; the outcome for all of us? DIARRHEA. They should call it Fugazzi’s Mozzarella because it’s definitely not real Lioni’s. Where is the moist round fresh mozzarella? Why is it this weird refrigerated squared Mozzarella? We ordered 2 hot and 2 cold sandwiches and all got the same cheese. I was so upset I promised my coworkers I will take my lunch break to go pick up the real deal in Brooklyn. Please reconsider going here and just drive over the bridge! If I could give it 0 stars I would. “Man of the Year”

I recently ordered the veal parm hero for $19 + a $5.00 tip. I was hoping for an awesome hero but the veal was tough, the sandwich was dry. Won't be ordering that again..

The reason is when my wife ordered no one was there to deliver then the girl said she would call when they got someone. After while my wife calls back the guy tells her it was out but coming by the pizzeria next store what is wrong with this place my wife don't need to deal with this and niether do I. They need help with delivering terrible.. If it's not here in 10 more minutes we will not accept this or maybe not accept it period. Then I get a call and they tell my the guy will not come up oh will I said forget it then, never again

I didn’t even get to the food, every time I placed an order they called me back telling me they didn’t have something that was on their menu, and this happened 3 times, then when I finally did find something they had, they told me their computer won’t let me pay with my card because the delivery address wasn’t the same as my billing address. So if you’re ordering from work, or at a friends or family’s house, you basically can’t use your card, and they have no work around for that. That’s gotta be the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard, and I’d never bother ordering from them again.

As soon as I walked a purpled hair women was iunpleasant. No hello or welcome. I and my cousin ordered the #52. Roast beef fresh mozzarella and brown gravy. I opted for roast beef mozzarella and roasted peppers. The meat was pre cut and dry. 2 sandwiches cost $$42 dollars. I was told this place was good but we were very very disappointed. I like my cold cuts freshly cut. Like I said all their meats and mozzarella are all pre cut kind of like subway. The young blonde girl who made the sandwich was a nice person not like the purple hair women. Don’t waste your money.

There’s better sandwich shops on Staten Island. Not worth the long wait either.
