Frary Dining Hall Azusa Reviews
We were in Azusa last night and, drawn in by the glowing reviews, decided to give this place a try. It didn't take long to understand exactly why it's so highly praised. From the very first bite, the food burst with vibrant freshness and layers of deep, authentic flavor. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully balanced — a true feast for the senses. Without question, it's some of the best Thai cuisine we've ever had. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting to relax and savor the meal. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel welcomed from start to finish. An absolutely amazing experience — we'll definitely be back!
I have been here several times with friends and family and each time it’s really tasty and consistent! I Pretty much have tried all kinds of different dishes off of their menu and every item has come out great. This time around we got the Crying Tiger (steak dish w/ papaya salad), the cashew nut with chicken, the eggplant basil with shrimp, green curry with chicken, and mango sticky rice. Not sure if the mango sticky rice usually comes in a heart, but I was really excited to see this come out! Seriously so delicious I love this place!
Happen to be in the West Covina area, happened to stumble upon this place because we wanted Thai food. The restaurant is beautiful too. The decor is lovely and very aesthetically pleasing. Restaurant and Bathrooms were clean! So glad we stopped in! Food - everything was great. Cooked well. Presented well. Good portions. Flavors on point. So happy they had the vinegar chili condiment for the pad see ew. Their Thai chili powder is really good too, glad they don’t just use red chili flakes like a lot of other Thai places do these days. Loved the yellow pumpkin curry, the pumpkin in it was a lovely touch, added a nice hint of sweetness from the pumpkin but still gave you the potato starch vibes. Pad Thai shrimp actually had several pieces of shrimp! Basil stir fry was really good. The rice was a tad dry but the stir fry flavors were delicious and love that they do the fried egg on top. Crispy pork belly stir fry was okay. Personal preference, so can’t hold it against them, but I prefer my crispy pork belly to be the fatty pieces because they’re usually crispier. The meaty pieces end up being too dry in my opinion. Service - great customer service. They’re super nice. Very attentive. Very sincere. Parking - in a strip mall plaza type of place and there is free parking. We had no issues finding parking at all.
Stopped by Ari’s Thai Eatery in Azusa for dinner and it did not disappoint! We ordered the crispy pork with Chinese broccoli, papaya salad, pumpkin curry with chicken, and beef pad thai — every dish was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The mild spice level was just right, and the ingredients tasted really fresh. The Blood Orange Hefe (beer) paired so well with the food too! Cozy vibe, friendly service and great presentation. 💯 Totally recommend for anyone craving authentic Thai comfort food in the area.
Love this place. Every dish I have tried is amazing so far. I would highly recommend their curries, Pad Thai and Pad See Ew.
Celebrated our Anniversary with something New this year. Andit was Fantastic! Pineapple fried rice, Crispy Pork with Broccoli. Outstanding Flavor. The Staff were so Kind. We will be back!
I highly recommend their pork jerky! It was my favorite dish of the night, but their pad see ew and papaya salad were also good. We will definitely come back
The food was absolutely amazing. The cucumber salad was so refreshing, and sweet. The Tom Yum was perfectly spiced, as well as the Spicy (basil fried rice) fried rice. Will be returning!
Let me start with what really made me happy: 1. The staff were all incredibly nice—warm, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. 2. The mango sticky rice was absolutely superb! 3. Food overall gets a solid 4/5. Presentation was phenomenal. 4. Great for large groups—they’re very accommodating. 5. The place is clean, stylish, and aesthetically pleasing. Both the food and the ambience are totally IG-worthy. 6: Plenty of parking available, and it wasn’t overcrowded.
New Thai spot just opened -- We love Asian food, and everything we ordered here was so good. Definitely a must-try, and I can already see my family coming back often. Comfort food favorites: * Pad See Ew, fried rice, and drunken noodles -- my daughter said the drunken noodles were her absolute favorite. * Beef salad was tangy and refreshing--perfect if you like bold, zesty flavors. * Pork jerky disappeared so fast, I didn't even get a picture! * Calamari had a great crunch, and the dipping sauce was on point. We finished with mango sticky rice--hands down, the best we've ever had. So fresh and perfectly sweet. Can't wait to come back and try their soups, curries, and more. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a great, welcoming vibe. If you're looking for a solid Thai food spot with authentic flavors, check this place out before it gets packed!
This place is excellent. All the dishes were excellent. We order 3 spice and it had the perfect amount of bite. The small bite had a wonderful salty, sweet sauce. The entries were perfect made and saucey enough to not need soy sauce. Definitely recommend to eat at this place.
We hosted my daughter’s 1st birthday party at Ari’s Thai. The food was amazing, the staff were super attentive and service was fantastic! They were so nice. Highly recommend!
Ari’s has finally opened and I’m so happy that our favorite Thai restaurant (Basil & Co.) now has a sister location in our neighborhood! Everything we ordered was a hit—pad Thai, pad see ewe, tom kha soup, soft shell crab papaya salad, crab fried rice, chicken wings and mango sticky rice! The restaurant is beautifully designed and spacious, service was attentive and nice. They are in their soft opening phase and I can’t wait until the full menu is out! Highly recommend!
Ari’s Thai Eatery is a wonderful addition to the city of Azusa! The restaurant has a clean, vibrant atmosphere with an uplifting energy that immediately makes you feel welcome. The service was exceptional — Amy catered to our every need, A was friendly and attentive, and our server kept our glasses filled with fresh water throughout our meal. The food was outstanding. We ordered medium heat, which had just the right amount of spice — enough to enjoy without overpowering the flavors. We’re already looking forward to coming back and maybe trying it hot next time! Welcome to town, Ari’s! Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious Thai food paired with excellent service.
The food was great! Pad see ew had a great texture and flavor. The duck red curry was amazing. We loved the pineapple, but the duck was a little overcooked. The mango sticky rice was a great way to end the meal!

The restaurant was bright, spacious, and beautifully designed with a modern touch. For drinks, I tried the new lemongrass tea—light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. A perfect start! The veggie rolls with sweet chili sauce were delicious, and the Tom Kha Ceviche—currently an off-menu secret dish—was a crowd favorite. The crispy fried trout with mango salad was absolute perfection and easily my top pick of the night. The Khao Soi Chicken, rich with creamy coconut curry flavors, was incredibly comforting. We also enjoyed the crab omelette fried rice and the Crying Tiger ribeye steak—tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. For spice lovers, the drunken noodles with pork packed a satisfying kick. And of course, no Thai meal is complete without mango sticky rice—sweet, fragrant, and the perfect ending to a fantastic dinner. Amazing food. Looking forward to coming back soon!
Ari’s Thai Eatery, a culinary gem in Azusa. Ari’s Thai Eatery is a beautiful place to dine. The Ambience is nicely appointed and welcoming, unlike many other restaurants that charge exorbitant prices for mediocre food and neglect basic decor and comfort. Ari’s consistently serves delicious food with a great presentation. Whether you order online or call, you’ll find them organized, friendly, and usually have your meal ready when they say. I’ve tried several dishes at Ari’s and haven’t been disappointed yet. If you’re in the Azusa area, which is within 10 to 15 miles and several cities away, Ari’s is a must-visit. You won’t be disappointed with their great food and friendly staff who genuinely appreciate your business.
Are you freaking kidding me, YES! yes to this place I ordered beef fried rice, it was good! I wanted it as a side for my crying tiger steak! That steak! My American name is tiger, and im crying! They forecasted my visit when they named it! Tender! Juicy! Marbelled well, 👌 perfect! And it's in azusa, right next home! Finally a place this good right next to where I live 😍 Service was great 👍

A bit pricey but it's worth it because the quality of the food is outstanding. The chicken satay was easily the best I've ever had. The service and atmosphere very good too. The design of the interior was really quite beautiful. Don't sleep on the mocktail mojito
Best curry Duck in at least 35 mile radius. Very friendly staff with quick service. Their Cuisine is tasty and consistently satisfying. Mild to spicy ....... Beer and Wine is available along with soda and specialty teas.... Authentic Thai dishes served in satisfying portions. This place SPARKLES it is very clean and the bathrooms are always fresh.
I was fortunate enough to have lived in Thailand for 6 years, so I consider myself a pretty good judge of Thai food. I thought the food was presented nicely and very tasty. My favorite curry was excellent though a bit short on meat. The service was good too. Unfortunately, for me, the price point will keep me from becoming a regular. $120 for 2 people is a lot for Thai food on a senior budget. However, it was a nice experience overall
Ordered online and food was fresh and delicious! So excited to have a new Thai place and looking forward to coming in person!! Duck curry- SO delicious. Duck is extremely well cooked and the pineapple gives a great acidic bite! Pumpkin curry- has a bit of Indian flare and is absolutely delicious. A good deep heat if you order it spicy! Pad thai- good! Wish I had remembered to ask for a lime! Tom Yum (w/shrimp) - good. Ingredients are super fresh!! Thai tea- love that you can order it half sweet!
Everything about Ari’s Thai Eatery is amazing. The restaurant aesthetic is a 10/10 & the food was beyond my expectations. Their fried crab rice was to die for as well as their string bean entree with beef. Can’t leave without their mango sticky rice. I will definitely be coming back. Top notch customer service .
Came for dinner on a Thursday night and the place was packed. Regardless the staff was quick to get a table ready and we were seated with little delay. The food was so delicious and amazing. The larb ground chicken salad stood out the most with the awesome flavors that I wanted to order another. Great job on the cooks for putting great care into the food. Just thinking of the dishes makes me want to return asap for more. The atmosphere was modern and very clean. The staff was on point being friendly and efficient which added to the experience. My water cup never reached below half so no need to wait for a refill like other places. Definitely returning and very glad to have a place like Ari’s in the area to satisfy my Thai food cravings.
So glad to have this place near the San Dimas area. The place is quite modern decorated with plenty of tables and bar seating. Saw this place featured on one of the local TV shows so we went and check it out. The menu has wide varieties of dishes to pick from. We ordered the red curry duck and the soft shell crab papaya salad in medium spiciness. The red curry is very tasty and bold. The duck breast meat is tender and went pretty well when dipped in the red curry sauce and it was not too spicy. The soft shell crab with papaya salad was a little bland compares to others. The medium spiciness is nothing at all. We had to add more of the cut chopped green chillies and fish sauce to give it a little ump! The fried soft shell crab was very fresh. Good size and with the right crunch. The all over all service was very attentive. Although the food was good but just a bbit pricey. Can plan on spending $50-$90 for two.
Great new Thai restaurant with great menu selections. Got tired of the typical items so happy to see unique items like crab, fried pork, brisket, whole steaks for crying tiger, etc. food was good to very good. Calamari was amazing. Pad see ew was good, but very similar flavors to others. Crying tiger was good, but could have been better. Was a little undercooked for med rare and papaya salad wasn’t spicy at all, even though I asked for spicy. Need my crying tiger to have fire! Will order with more spice next time, but hope they don’t over compensate :). Their chili selection does make up for a lot though. Loved the red chili and jalapenos. Thai chili was pretty good too, Will be back to try the brisket and crispy pork for sure!
I was in the area and looking for a place for lunch, and this place caught my eye because of their nice review on Yelp. Parking lot was a little small, and it was busy during lunch time. It was a little difficult to find parking. We were seated as soon as we entered the restaurant. Severs were friendly and service was fast. We ordered pad see ew with beef and chicken satay. Chicken satay was served in a very fancy way. It was not in skewer format. The chicken was very tender. It went very well with the peanut butter sauce/paste/cream. Pad see ew was very flavorful; however, the beef was very rough, which was a bit disappointed. I will come back again if I am in the area.
