Mi Casa Ballston Spa Reviews
Walking into Mi Casa is like getting a big, warm hug from someone you've known forever. First things first, the vibes here? Absolutely unmatched. Picture this: you're surrounded by these incredible murals that look like they've been painted with the joy and colors of Mexico itself. You can't help but smile as your eyes dance from one piece of art to the next, each telling its own vibrant story. And then there's the music – oh, the music! It's like being serenaded by the heart of Mexico itself, with every strum of the guitar and every beat of the drum echoing through the place, infusing it with life and laughter. Now, let's talk about the food because, trust me, it's something you want to hear about. It's like every dish has been passed down through generations, made with love and a magic touch that only a true family-owned spot can offer. The flavors? Bold, authentic, and downright delicious. Whether you're diving into a plate of the juiciest tacos you've ever tasted or savoring a bite of their homemade mole, it's a culinary hug that you'll want to experience over and over again. But here's the real secret sauce of Mi Casa: the warmth and the welcoming vibe. It's the kind of place where everyone knows your name by your second visit, and if they don't, they sure act like they do. The staff treats you like you're one of their own, with smiles and genuine kindness that makes the food taste even better (if that's even possible). Every corner of Mi Casa is filled with laughter, chatter, and the kind of community warmth that makes you feel like you belong. It's a spot where memories are made, where families and friends come together, not just to eat, but to share in the joy of being together. Leaving Mi Casa, you're not just full of great food; you're filled with a sense of joy and belonging. In short, Mi Casa is the kind of place that captures the heart of what a family-owned restaurant should be. It's more than a meal; it's an experience that stays with you, making you feel like part of something bigger – a community, a family. So, do yourself a favor, swing by, and make some memories. Trust me, you'll be planning your next visit before you've even left.
Went to Mi CASA this evening with my husband and daughter. The food was absolutely the BEST!!!!! The service was phenomenal as well. From the moment we entered the door, we were greeted by smiles and the smell of TRUE Mexican food. Bella was extremely professional and accommodating, especially with my 2 year old daughter. We will definitely be back again in the future! FIVE STARSSSS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We love this place and eat there often.
First, I don't think our waiter could have been any nicer - one of the best wait staff I've had in a while. The food was great and very reasonably priced, especially the tacos! The tacos were filled well with a good mix of protein and filling, the enchiladas were stuffed full. Some of the best refined beans around. Will go back in a heartbeat.
We look forward every year to going to see Dave Matthews at the SPAC and going to our favorite restaurant mi Casa Family run restaurant and staff are wonderful! Food and drinks are Yummy. OVERALL, JUST A GREAT PLACE 😊
Very tasty enchiladas and chips and salsa. Service was kind also. Definitely recommend! 😋 🤤
In the mood for authentic Mexican cuisine and drinks? This place has you covered. All I need is some warm sand to stick my toes in and I'd swear I was back on South Padre Island. From the dimly lit interior, to the music, the atmosphere and staff. I love this place. Mi hogar lejos del hogar!
I always have the best meals here! My children love to celebrate their birthdays here. We love the food, & the staff is so warm & friendly. It’s like having a meal at their home, the decor is beautiful!
I recently dined at Mi Casa and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with flavor. The service was equally impressive; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend Mi Casa for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.
Excellent food, excellent service. Our waiter had the most chill and friendly vibe, it left an impression and we remembered him from Leon's. Had we known this was essentially Leon's with a new name we would have been back much, much sooner. Well worth the short trip out of the downtown Saratoga scene. This restaurant is a gem.
My husband and I were there on a Friday night and they were packed. I'm in a wheelchair and they were so accommodating. They put us at a table in the back room so we had plenty of room. Our waiter Mike was fantastic and the food was great. The two owners were very nice and the prices were very reasonable. We have definitely found a place we plan on returning too.
The enchiladas were pretty good. The margarita was very watered down. The ice cubes didn’t even melt at all so you could tell there was no (or hardly any) alcohol in it, plus it didn’t have a good taste. A little overpriced. I would return to try the enchiladas again, but if they are not as good as another location I just found close by, I may not return again. I like my enchiladas hot with enough sauce, filling and cheese.
I went out, which I rarely do but, it was my b'day. Let me tell you what! I couldn't have picked a better spot for authentic house made margaritas and tacos. I'm an eater so I spent a lot. A little over 100. I will be back that's for sure! Keep up the good work and thank you for your wonderful hospitality 😁
So having been here a few times I can say without a doubt that when you sit down you'll notice that families come, old and young and you'll always see babies which I love.. its a family experience and the food is top notch! Depending on how many are there you might wait a bit for your meal but I gotta say your dinner will fill your belly and you'll leave remembering the good time with something that you saw that hit you in the feels
Four stars only for being a bit pricey for the menu items. Super attentive, professional staff, despite there being some issue going on at the time of our departure (perhaps a maintenance issue in another room), We left the final payment on the table and left with no goodbyes. We would have preferred to make sure we saw the server picked up the payment folio. Based on the professional demeanor of staff, this is probably an anomaly. Comfortable, quiet, relaxed atmosphere with a private feel to the seating, though arranged in an open floor plan. Had we not been trying to make a show, this would have been the kind of place to linger over dessert and a beverage. Tasty food. Comprehensive Mexican American menu. Good presentation. Tasty complementary chips and salsa. If this review is helpful, click "like"
Food was good, not great. Cheese sauce on the chimichanga was very good. Mexican rice was blah. Chips and salsa were very good but they only give you a small amount of the salsa. Our waitress was great. Lots of small flies flying around the table and one went into my husband's beer.
An amazing meal. Chimichangas were packed full of steak and chicken. The homemade salsa and chips were delicious. The staff was excellent. Quality house margarita. I need to change my review due to a nasty hostes that refused to seat us and more or less tried to discourage me and my wife who is in a wheelchair to stay. We put our name in and was told 30 minutes. I understand times change but after 1 hr we were told by Uber eats people that she was letting friends in past us and after 90 minutes another hostes moved people from the table we were told to take by the door. They were nice and said no problem. Then the looks came from the original disability hating hostes. Not going back. Wheelchair accessible if they like you.
Arrived at opening at 4pm. It took 15 plus minutes to receive 6 drinks. Got enchiladas with bones in it??? Kids received still frozen dino nuggets. The total was 180 dollars for food poisoning and watered down alcohol. The churro basket is cool though. Go down the road to another Mexican restaurant. Save money and your gut.
Food is mediocre at best and overpriced. They bring 2 oz of salsa and the charge you if you want more. I have eaten Mexican my whole life and have never been rationed chips and salsa or charged for it. The place is run down with broken seats with the torn vinyl stabbing our legs. No uniforms for staff and some woman in a crop top walking around who we thought was a customer but then started talking to tables and giving them stiff. I assume she works there but unprofessional In Her actions and her appearance. Big mistake and waste of money. Will not return or send anyone there. Go to la fiesta or el Mexicano!
