Zed Barcelona Reviews
We loved Zed Barcelona so much that we ended up going twice during our trip. There were five of us, and it was my parents’ first time ever trying Mediterranean food. We were so impressed that we ended up trying almost everything on the menu. The beef tongue was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the lamb dish was truly unforgettable, one of those meals you keep talking about long after it’s over. The standout for my mom, though, was the carrot mousse. She loved it so much she even tried to recreate it once we got home. Zed Barcelona gave us some of our favorite food memories from the trip, and we can’t recommend it enough!
Absolutely good food and warm service! Love the lamb stew and beef shoulder. The side salad is very fresh and juicy. The mashed pumkin dressing in the beef shoulder surprises me, we ask if we can have another dish of mashed pumkin alone and they make it happen even though it's not on the menu!! lovely restaurant ❤️
We went here for an early dinner with the family and overall had a good experience. My wife and son both went for the beef tartare — it was quite different from what we’re used to, but still very good. My son wasn’t a big fan of the cheese that came with it, while my wife actually liked it since she enjoys cheese. My daughter had the salmon — it was okay but not spectacular, and the portion was really big, which is probably why she couldn’t finish it. I had the beef shoulder, which was absolutely delicious — tender, full of flavor, and definitely the highlight of the evening. The sides were also great, especially the potatoes that came with the tartare. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner — good food, nice presentation, and friendly service, though not the best place we’ve ever been. Still, worth a visit!
Very nice restaurant! We had a great meal here — the food was delicious, and the service was fast and friendly. The staff made us feel welcome, and everything came out perfectly. We’d definitely come back again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Highly recommend the salad!!!
I don’t know why they are not getting any Michelin Stars, mentions or awards. Having spent the past 2 weeks visiting cities between Spain and Portugal, and having dined at various awesome restaurants, I have to say, Zed tops the list. Flavours and taste so unique and refreshing. It takes alot of creativity to be able to come up with such experiences. We had their cheese selection, Monkfish Carpaccio, Bone Marrow, Lamb Stew & Apple Tartin dessert. Each dish was an experience on its own. Simple foods made awesome. Hats off to the crew, their service and attentiveness was first class. And super mad respect to their kitchen team of 2. Serving up such gastronomical experiences for the entire restaurant all night! Everyone should try Zed at least once before they leave BCN.
This is a true gem in the heart of Barcelona. It looks really small from the outside, but towards the back there is a living room type area with lots of light and high ceilings. The staff are excellent in their knowledge of allergies and ingredients, and are open to make recommendations that you will not regret following. We had the beef tartare for lunch, followed by the mascarpone mousse, and espresso. We were treated to a small glass of rice liquor which was delicious. We also had the lemonade. All excellently prepared, seasoned and presented. A true delight to have eaten here.
I am close to tears writing this review, knowing that I will be returning to my home, where this restaurant is not. 10000/10. My family and I came later in the evening. The restaurant feels like home when you step in, and when you take a bite of the food…..SPEECHLESS!! My mom closed her eyes and hugged herself. The service was great. Everyone was super sweet, including the chef, who we had to refrain from kidnapping because the food was spectacular. I had the lamb stew for a main, and the mascarpone mousse for dessert. The lamb stew had such depth of flavor, I truly can not put it into words. It was delicious. The mascarpone mousse was a perfect ending. I also tried my family’s food. Equally delicious. Everything was so balanced in flavor and lacked for NOTHING, and we all could not stop picking up our spoon. I’ve never been sexually attracted to food until this night, that I will never forget. 09/05/25. I almost wish we hadn’t come the first night, because our standards for our stay were so extremely high. Please do your self a favor and come to this restaurant!!!!
Lovely little hipstery restaurant on walking distance from the sagrada familia. The coffee (espresso) here is great and the beef tartare was really amazing. Great hand cut and mixed with the best ingredients. After paying we got offered a very nice, fresh yet warming local rice cream liqor.
Food was OUTSTANDING! Loved every single thing we ate. We got so lucky that there was a table/area for us to dine. It was a meant to be experience. The decor was very appealing as well. I felt like it was straight out of a provincial story book. The chef Frank did an amazing job (I know that doesn’t sound too French or Spanish but he exhibited culinary skills!) I also enjoyed the decor so much that I purchased two prints - there was artwork and ceramics that could be purchased! The dessert was outstanding! We ordered the ganache which was so rich and flavorful. The cheese plate was phenomenal too, and the bread. Run and make a reservation at this restaurant. Post Sagrada Familia tour or any other time!
BEST OF OUR TRIP. Zed, just a block or so away from La Sagrada Familia was the surprise winner of best restaurant of our entire trip (and there were some good ones!) You’d never guess it from the modest exterior but this restaurant is top notch. Everything made fresh with top ingredients. Cooked with care and expertise then plated beautifully. The service is exceptional as well. The staff is warm and welcoming and seem to be fluent in multiple languages. We were warned about restaurants near this area being tourist traps. But no fear, ZED is the exception. Highly recommend you give them a try.
Great restaurant find! All dishes were very tasty and lots of variety also for vegetarians. I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff was friendly too. Highly recommend visiting if you're looking for delicious food! The price was also very good for the quality and quantity of the food.
A wonderful find! The fresh, high-quality ingredients make every dish incredibly flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy, with beautiful décor. The lady working there was amazing—so kind and welcoming! Highly recommend trying the beef takaki and season salad , carrot and lime mousse all were absolutely delicious! Friendly staff and great service. Kindness creates great memories for travelers visiting Spain.
My husband and I made an unplanned stop at Zed for tapas and we were so glad that we did!! The sweet potato and parmesan croquettes were my favorite, but the spinach, pancetta, and truffle oil ones were great too. The cheese plate and chocolate ganache were divine with the wine. Service was friendly and there was a very welcoming atmosphere.
My girlfriend and I chose this restaurant at random, and it was the best decision we made during our stay in Barcelona. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the food is prepared very quickly and was delicious. The great experience was represented by the fact that in the end three main courses and three desserts were consumed. Thank you for your hospitality, we will definitely return when we come to Barcelona.
No estaba mal.
