Merenderia n10 Bard Reviews
A charming restaurant with delicious food! For starters, we had bacon with walnuts, chestnuts, and honey. For our main course, we had gnocchi with wild boar ragù! What a wonderful experience for the taste buds! Thank you to the very friendly team. See you soon!
Very close to the elevator descent to the Bard fortress, a small but very quaint place. The staff were really friendly and helpful; we arrived late and waited about ten minutes outside. We had a truly wonderful meal, truly high-quality food at great prices. We had gnocchi with wild boar ragù and polenta concia...all truly exceptional. Congratulations!
Casa Ciuca is simply fantastic! The service is impeccable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's located in a great location near the Bard Fort. Excellent Aosta Valley cuisine at reasonable prices.
My family and I went to eat at this inn after visiting the fort and the village of Bard. Even though it was well past lunchtime, we were greeted and served very kindly. Typical dishes, gnocchi with wild boar ragù, carbonada with polenta and Valdostana cheese, house wine—all delicious. Fast service and excellent prices for the quality of the food. I recommend it.
I'm reviewing the restaurant (we didn't stay): always an excellent choice in Bard! Friendly staff, excellent menu featuring local dishes, generous portions, and quality ingredients. Simple and charming atmosphere, just steps from the fort and in the heart of Bard. Reasonable prices, and a complimentary digestif from a selection of local grappas and bitters.
A small and charming restaurant in the heart of Bard, the menu features typical local dishes, all delicious, made with top-quality ingredients. The service was fast, friendly, and courteous. The value for money is excellent. Reservations are only available for dinner, while the restaurant is open for lunch from noon onwards. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and service in a fabulous location.
Great lunch, wonders location, friendly service
One of the food highlights of my trip. Ate there upon the recommendation of the kind receptionist at the fort. It was fabulous! Every dish was amazing. The chef took the order, prepared it, and served it. He was as talented in the kitchen as he was friendly at the table. Please try this place, you won't be disappointed!
A small little restaurant located along the small narrow street. The picture I posted is off the street off of which the restaurant is located. The "main" dining hall only has two tables, and nothing more. But the restaurant has more sitting around the corner, and the owners will take you there. The food was just amazing!! As an appetizer my wife had a vegetable pie smothered in an amazing cheese sauce. It was out of this world!! My main dish was a pasta with sausage ragu that was out of this world. There was also a local cheese sprinkled on top that added such an amazing flavor! My wife had the polenta that was covered in butter and more cheese. If you get a chance to go, please do. You will not be disappointed. It is relatively small, so try to head there a little before the main dining time, or be ready to wait.
Very local and authentic. Triditional place with great Italian dishes. The waitress was very nice and spoke English very well.
Beautiful restaurant, very pleasant. Great tiramisu
An experience that's neither good nor bad. The place is tiny, and the welcome isn't particularly friendly (they play the radio in the background even though they tell you they can do without it). Homemade dishes at average prices.
We had dinner last night and I had a terrible experience. Since I don't eat meat, I basically had to choose between two dishes. A very poor menu! I asked if I could kindly have some grilled vegetables, but they told me they don't have vegetables except for side dishes. In the end, I chose an appetizer, basically two pieces of goat cheese covered in burnt bread. I had to eat some mushrooms from my husband's plate to avoid leaving hungry. Never again... Even though the lady was very kind.
Avoid this restaurant. We ate lunch in the small entrance hall, surrounded by the owner's shouting (?!) and blasting rock music (when we asked to turn it down, the girl had to ask permission). We were the first ones there, but the wait was exorbitant for a plate of gnocchi (definitely supermarket-style) and the service was poor (we at least asked for bread after waiting so long!).
Let's start on the positive note because there will be a list of negatives later. I went with a friend and my dog. The location was nice and very quiet, but otherwise it was squalid. We asked if there was room for two and a dog. I should start by saying that I have an English pointer who doesn't even know what meanness is. He's been properly trained, and every time we eat, he sits close to my leg and doesn't move. They told us that they have two tables off to the side for dogs, away from the others, and that if they wanted to eat there, the dog had to stay still under the table. Being good and well-behaved, he sat there the whole time. Next to him, there was a rusty iron grate that protruded because it wasn't secured properly. Not to mention that there was a dog, but even a normal person could easily have touched it with their leg and hurt themselves. The food was edible, but it arrived cold and in meager portions. Two plates of pasta with sausage and a water cost €33. We'll never go back! I strongly advise against it, especially not at all polite and kind
