Bacco Strada Regionale 4 Issogne Reviews
We ate at a fantastic restaurant run by Patrizia. She welcomed us with great kindness, even though we were late for our reservation. It was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time: typical local dishes, fresh ingredients, and authentic flavors. The platter was fantastic ✨ The owner not only served us beautifully, but also gave us lots of tips on what to see in the area. We discovered the place thanks to a TikTok video, and the experience far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!
I had the pleasure of dining at Patrizia's with three other friends. The ingredients and attention to detail are reminiscent of home cooking (not to mention the portions). From the cured meats to the first and second courses we sampled, we appreciated the freshness and quality of the ingredients. I've already recommended them to friends and family, and I hope to return soon! Thank you to Patrizia and her family for the excellent lunch and the dedication you put into making each of your customers feel at home!
So happy to find this place open outside of usual lunch/dinner hours. The appetizer platter and lasagna are delicious. The lady at the restaurant is super friendly and kind. Definitely worth a stop if you're visiting the castle!
We stopped in the parking lot behind the restaurant on our way to visit the castle. On the way back, we stopped for lunch. The girl who greeted us immediately noticed we were Ligurian like her and her mother. They were very kind. The place is cute, with clean bathrooms, which is not a given. We had crepes and lasagna alla valdostana, which were very good, along with beer and coffee. Fair price, decent portions. We recommend it to anyone visiting the castle 👍😃
Best lasagna ever! Great meal and service!
What a great time we've spent at this restaurant! To enjoy the full experience, please ensure to have time. The menu will cost you 18€ and your belly will thank you for the huge amount of food. Everything is really good and the owner is really nice. Don't hesitate to go there.
A true Slow Food case... Before visiting the nearby castle, my wife and I stopped for lunch at this restaurant at the entrance to the village of Issogne, with adjacent parking. The inn is run by a mature woman of Genoese origin who is passionate about her restaurant business. The menu is almost fixed, with a series of courses that the kind owner (who serves as cook and waitress and is happy to stop to chat with customers about the food) announces before each meal. In practice, I believe variations are not allowed, not even for children. The generous courses are all typical Aosta Valley dishes, sometimes rearranged, made with quality local products. We ate (if I remember correctly) a cheese, meat, bread and cabbage flan (Valdostan soup?), a platter of typical cheeses, some local salami, Valdostan lasagna with ham and cheeses and finally polenta concia. Always rich and tasty portions, washed down with two craft beers on tap and plenty of water. The cost of the menu is fixed at 18 euros per person, plus drinks. So we spent 49 euros in total and left feeling very stuffed.... An important thing to know is that in this place you don't have to rush: as mentioned above, the service is rather slow, especially if there are a few people. We remained seated for 2 and a half hours. By forgoing dessert, we managed to get up just in time to take part in the 4pm visit to the castle! Congratulations again to Mrs Patrizia, whom we bid farewell.
Incredibly delicious food and hospitality. Very close to the castle, open even on Sundays. The tastiest lasagna I've ever had, along with polenta and local cheeses. We ordered two dishes, but the starter was so much that we even took the food home. Highly recommend, very cozy place with tasty local food and kind owner. Also, the prices are very low compared to other restaurants in the Aosta region.
We found this restaurant by chance before visiting Issogne Castle. We were greeted by the owner with kindness and helpfulness. She offered us a menu of dishes she had prepared herself, truly generous and of excellent quality. We were able to take home any uneaten dishes because they were so plentiful! Excellent value for money. We will definitely be back. Recommended!!!
A lot of tasty local food! As I love small villages charm, it was amazing)
A very cozy place with a wonderful service. Farmer’s cheese plate with homemade jams was top notch and we had a wonderful wine. Very affordable and would definitely come back
I confess that, as soon as we entered, I wondered where we'd ended up. The atmosphere is a bit unsettling, a cross between a bar and a warehouse. Then, the courtesy with which we were greeted dispelled that initial doubt. Patrizia makes you feel at home and offers advice on the menu, which isn't extensive but stands out for its quality. The wait times are normal. The cheese platter is prominent, the polenta concia is good, and both the stew and the sausage are excellent. A special mention goes to the peperonata and the fondue, both top-notch. The desserts are homemade, and you can taste it. The prices are more than fair. We'll definitely be back.
We stopped here for lunch while visiting the castles in the Aosta Valley. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't the best. We opted for the €18 menu, which included a mixed platter of typical cured meats and cheeses and a first course of lasagna or crespelle alla valdostana. The cured meats and cheeses were very good, and the crespelle weren't bad, but they weren't au gratin at all, so the béchamel sauce was very runny. The real problem was time; to eat a first course each and a shared dish, we were in the restaurant for two hours!! The service was incredibly slow, and the place wasn't busy. I'm sorry, but I won't be back. The wait was too long. After the mixed platter, I was already feeling hungry after all the waiting time... it's a shame, because the food isn't bad, but you have to be organized.
We went following a review we saw on Instagram and had very high expectations, but I'd say it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The place feels like a tasteless bar that's been converted into a restaurant (the upstairs is nice, but they forget about you), and the wait was eternity... over an hour between the appetizer and the main course, with no one coming to say anything about the wait, for pretty ordinary food. The appetizer was a selection of cold cuts, with lots of salami, but lard and mocetta, not even a slice per person. Then came a polenta concia that didn't even hint at cheese, and most importantly, they served us the bottom of the pot, complete with a hard crust stuck to the bottom, inedible. A tray of stew without even a spoon to pick it up... in short, an all-around disaster.
Intrigued and tempted by a Tik Tok view, I can assure you that it was the biggest disappointment, and I'm polite, experienced... a blatantly fake video. Where, faced with a fixed menu for 18 euros, you left full and above all satisfied... well, let's start by specifying that it is not a trattoria, but a very badly improvised bar at a trattoria... With 8 customers present, we waited at least an hour to eat... If you can call it eating... The much-advertised appetizer in the video turned out to be a plate in which you found a slice of salami, a slice of beetroot salami, a slice of lard, and three samples of cheese (in the video, food came out from all sides... fondue, large plates of cold cuts and cheeses...) all accompanied by stale, if inedible, bread... As soon as I pointed out the quality of the father, the owner defended her actions by saying that she had the invoice for the bread bought the night before... well... on the other hand, she then brought some bread (very good) which she specified cost 11 euros per kilo and that she was bringing it to us because we were special.... I First courses, better not to talk about them... It took ages to get them and above all they were tasteless, cooked way beyond what was necessary and tasteless... truly scandalous to talk about catering in this establishment....
I was there a few days ago and the lady was RUDE and she had not given us the correct food according to the menu. ( VERY EXPENSIVE )
We arrived at the venue and were promised a lovely meal of cheese, cold meats, polenta and stew. We did not get what was promised. We got cheese, a small plate of cold meats, and a tiny portion of polenta. No stew! Definitely not enough for the amount of people at our table. Will not recommend this place, as it was expensive for what we got. We ate at your restaurant yesterday not today and this is not a fake review!
The place is not clean and very, very expensive. They promise lots of food and you basically get cheese and a few slices of cold meats. Certainly not a place where to stop to eat - avoid it all costs🥲
