I went to Tashan and absolutely loved the experience. The food was delicious, full of flavor, and very well prepared. The service was excellent — attentive and friendly the entire time. The cocktails were also very good and well crafted. I tried a dessert that reminded me of Cuban natilla — creamy and absolutely exquisite. I would definitely come back.
If you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine in the Burlington/Bedford area, Tashan is a must-visit. We recently went in for dinner with a reservation for two shortly after opening and had a seamless experience from start to finish. Service & Atmosphere We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Despite the restaurant filling up quickly, the staff remained incredibly attentive. A special shout-out to our server, Shasha, who did an amazing job managing the table and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the night. The Food The dishes were served timely and captured true, authentic Indian flavors. We ordered: * Pomegranate Paneer Pakora: A unique and delicious start to the meal. * Butter Chicken & Paneer: Both were rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. * Butter Naan: Fresh, warm, and the perfect accompaniment to the main courses. Value The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of food and service provided, averaging about $35 per person (before tax and tip). Bottom Line: Highly recommended for anyone craving high-quality Indian food with top-tier service. We will definitely be back!
I’m generally not a fan of Indian food, but this place is an exemption for me. It’s very clean and nice. Staff always take care of you and make sure you get what you need. The food is very delicious, the meat is well prepared and spices are just right. The only thing that could be improved is the portion to price ratio. The price is on the higher end and the portions are on the low. The desserts are delicious too. But overall, recommended, even if you don’t like Indian food, give this place a shot.
Exotic!!! Highly recommend Tashan as the food is super delicious! Tandoori chicken is fresh and juicy and has the authentic taste,so is the mutton curry- Perfectly cooked and great blend of spices! Waffle Rabri is really good and great substitute for Jalebi- Must try! Overall the staff is welcoming and highly courteous! Big Shoutout to Vishal- Harshita for bringing authentic Indian food in town with a Style!
The warm and smiling Shashi made our visit to Dushun in Burlington Massachusetts truly special. The Mango kale chaat is uniquely flavorful and stays crunchy till the last bite. The bao bun with paneer slivers tossed in Indian spice gravy and onions is soft delicious and full of flavor. The kadak chai with jalebi rabri is freshly made and absolutely divine. The owners have created an ambiance where you can feel the warmth and extra care in every detail. A must visit for anyone who loves creative Indian food served with heart.
Our first experience and as far as first impressions go this one knocked it out of the park. Warm and friendly staff. Attentive but not hovering. Delightful dining experience. Very good variety of veg and no veg options in the Buffett. Attentive staff that keeps the food warm and fresh. Felt welcome from start to finish. Definitely recommend to all friends and will be coming back.
The Pomegranate Paneer Pakora was a great start. Paneer Da Anda Masala stood out as the highlight—rich and outstanding. Lasooni Paneer was decent but could be better. The Garlic Naan and Lachha Paratha were perfect, and the Amrood Ka Jaam drink was refreshing and tasty.
This is absolutely one of the best places I have ever gone to for dinner. The atmosphere is inviting and sophisticated, the dishes are a perfect blend of traditional and creativity, the staff have smiles all around. It is difficult to find authentic South Asian restaurants in the area and also ones that are friendly and affordable, and this place truly checks off every single box. This easily wins a spot in my top ten favorite restaurants in the greater Boston area. Please visit and support businesses that truly embody the culinary perfection and hospitality that defines the South Asian culture.
My daughter and I shared a special night out and it was our first time at Tashan. To say everything was fantastic is an understatement. The service, the atmosphere the hospitality, and of course, the incredible food. We sat at the bar where we met the owner Harshita her warm hospitality made us feel as though we were regular customers and had been there before the chef even came out and introduced himself to us having had minimal exposure to Indian food. Harshita helped us order. We got three appetizers which included the Indian version of an eggroll, lol lamb chops and Chicken skewers. The sauce ,the spices and the presentation was second to none. Our main course was the goat stew served with white rice then, of course we got the molten chocolate cake, which was outstanding all that coupled with their version of mai tai made for a most memorable evening. Can’t wait to go back again.
Went for dinner tonight. All the food was amazing, the Desi Chicken Baos were some of the best baos we have had. The Tandoori Lobster Masala was excellent. Service was great, we can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Tashan tonight for dinner! The ever smiling and courteous staff coupled with the warmth and hospitality of the chef and the owner made it a memorable experience. We tried a number of dishes from galauti kabobs, dal makhani, and chaat to chicken biryani and every dish was delicious! Can’t wait to be back :) We can’t wait to be back and
Came to Tashan on a weekend around noon and stumbled across brunch. 35$ for all you can eat and desserts. Was really good, a little above average in quality from your standard Indian spot or buffet bar Nice find They have their own parking Reservations are recommended at all times
We had a fantastic meal here. Service is excellent. I liked the ambiance a lot; the playlist was very chill and the decor is very relaxed. Lots of Desi people there which is always a good sign. We started off with pani puri - so tasty - and the delectable basket chaat - I loved the addition of the lentil dumpling and the bright anardana seeds. For drinks, I tried the Mango Mirchi (nice spice) and my husband had a lovely McClelland scotch. They have a list of delicious-looking non-alcoholic cocktails, too. For the mains, my husband got the chana with paneer kulcha, and I got the goat cheese kofta with rice, which we had with kachumber salad and a very delicious raita. The chole was well-spiced and the kulcha was delicious. The kofta were garnished with gorgeous saffron strands and were somehow both substantial and light. Dessert was a wonderful milk cake with rabri, both rich and light. Overall, this was a great experience and I'm impressed with the quality of the food and level of service. And the portions are very generous - we left with enough food for lunch today. The place is very clean and well organized. Definitely recommend for any special occasion or just a feel-good meal with lots of flavor.
A repeat-worthy gem! I’ve been to this restaurant three times now, and every visit has been just as impressive as the last. The food is consistently delicious, full of rich flavors, and always hits the mark. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked (tikka, curry n biryani), and the paneer dish - uniquely shaped like an egg - was both creative and flavorful. Next on my list is their weekend buffet - it definitely sounds like an experience worth trying!
A wonderful experience. The staff were friendly. Great ambience and presentation. The flavors were balanced, and the food tasty. The gol guppa was my favorite. It’s a bit more upscale than some other Indian restaurants. Perfect for a date. I won’t show up in sweat pants next time. 😅
We had a great experience here. Delicious Indian fusion food, beautiful presentations, and overall extremely comfy and classy vibes. Definitely recommend the lamb chops and the galauti kebab. Can't stress this enough, the lamb chops are the best I ever tasted.
Great authentic Indian food in US! So far in my culinary journey in the US, this is the best Indian food I have had. Our Family went to their buffet on Mother’s Day and this was truly amazing. Both veg and Non vegetarian starters and mains the usual salads and sprouts. The star dishes were definitely Malai chicken tikka and butter chicken. Jamun was tasty but the besan burfi wasn’t great. A great place to dine. Will definitely come back next time.
We went to Tashan for my wife's birthday. The menu was very different to the normal Indian fare that you find around here. Deciding what to get was tricky since we didn't recognize most of the dishes. We ended up with awesome dishes with very rich and complex flavors. My wife got a mini Roman candle firework (and no singing) to celebrate. An evening to remember. I can't say enough good things about Tashan. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food and excellent service. Every single person from the owner to staff is fully vested to make it a great experience. Food quality justifies the pricing. Drinks amazing loved their version of old fashioned and for a change it was not too sweet . Don’t expect food drenched in butter and cream to make it edible, it’s is simple Flavorful. Hands down one of the best upscale Indian food outside India.
My husband and I had a great dinner here! I had a selection of wonderful and creative appetizers and a delicious curry. The garlic naan bread was also fantastic! The staff were all very nice and helpful and the decor was really nice and fun! 🎉✨ We will definitely be back!
If you're in or around Boston, Massachusetts, and craving authentic Indian cuisine, look no further than Tashan. This restaurant delivers a transcendent dining experience that truly feels like a slice of India. From the moment you walk in, you'll be captivated by the inviting ambiance and the tantalizing aromas wafting from the kitchen. The food at Tashan is the real deal. Each dish is a masterpiece, bursting with rich, authentic flavors that transport you straight to the heart of India. Whether you're a fan of classic curries, sizzling tandoori, or fragrant biryanis, you'll find a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. Vegetarians will be delighted with the extensive options available, ensuring everyone can enjoy a memorable meal. The cocktails are another highlight, with a creative and refreshing selection that perfectly complements the cuisine. And for those who love variety, Tashan's weekend buffets are a must-try. Although I haven't had the chance to indulge in the buffet yet, I've heard nothing but praise and can't wait to experience it for myself. Tashan is not just a restaurant; it's a destination for anyone seeking genuine Indian flavors. Make sure to add it to your list of must-eat places in Boston.
Went for dinner a few nights ago and was impressed, but went today for their brunch and was blown away. Every dish was absolutely delicious. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop and try this wonderful place.
We met up with some friends for a delicious afternoon brunch. Every item we selected was amazing. Three from our party are from India and they said it’s very authentic. My meal was amazing. The atmosphere was very nice with plenty of space for seating. The server (owner) was very helpful for me selecting my meal.Three people were vegetarians with a good amount of options and two of us eat meat. Everyone was very happy with their choices. My wife and I will return hopefully sooner than later.
Nestled in an elegant and vibrant ambiance, this Indian restaurant captivates with its innovative menu and an impressive array of cocktails. Its alluring cocktail creations are not only visually appealing but also tantalizing to the palate. While some dishes could benefit from a bolder flavor profile, we thoroughly relished the culinary offerings. The spice levels leaned towards medium to mild, which might be surprising for fans of robust Indian flavors. The meticulous attention to detail in both decor and ambiance speaks volumes, creating an inviting space to savor a nearly fine dining experience. The staff's exceptional warmth and service further enhance the overall appeal of this establishment, making it a go-to choice for those seeking a delightful fusion of taste and hospitality.
Our waiter Shashi was amazing!! So attentive, friendly, and fantastic service! If you get the chance to have him as your server you won’t be disappointed. Food, service, and atmosphere were the best ever!
Excellent is the word!!!! Great food, great ambiance and great Service! Have already been to Tashan three times and never got disappointed! Their Chef- Mr Malik is extremely talented in three fields- Flavor, Presentation and Technique! The flavors in their dishes are beautifully balanced and the seasoning is executed perfectly! The Chef makes it a point to come and meet and greet every table and takes feedback which is very important! We always used to drive to New York for good Indian food but am glad that we found Tashan! Hope it maintains the standard:-) Yesterday visited the Diwali buffet dinner which was AMAZING!!! Would have been really grateful if you guys could deliver to South Easton-02375😊
The place is very welcoming and the servers are friendly. I had veg biryani’s and veg samosa, both were delicious. When I come to Boston area, for sure am going back. Thanks!
We recently experienced the Weekday Brunch at Tashan Indian Restaurant and Bar after seeing this restaurant featured on the Phantom Gourmet. We normally don’t partake in buffet dining, but our waiter Shashi P invited us to have a look while he got us our drinks. Shashi mentioned that there were appetizers and several other entrees. The items in the buffet were clearly labeled. He also brought us entrée menus, just in case. We decided to go with the Buffet. We started with the three appetizers and then sampled several of the other dishes available. There was a Potato and Cauliflower dish, Tandoori Chicken, and Lamb Curry which were our favorites. During our lunch Shashi brought us fresh warm Naan bread. This was just a great lunch experience. We would definitely dine here again when in the Burlington/Bedford area.
We’re chicken tika people and rate most Indian restaurants based on their ability to dazzle us with a well balanced creamy and tangy flavor to saturate our garlic naan with….this is the BEST recipe in the area and Sashi, in particular, is a wonderful waiter/guide into their wonderful menu of delicious options.
We had an incredible experience at Tashan. The food was outstanding — creative Indian dishes that were beautifully presented and packed with flavor while still honoring traditional roots. Every dish we tried felt thoughtfully crafted and perfectly balanced. The ambience is just as impressive: stylish, warm, and inviting, making it equally perfect for a special night out or a relaxed dinner with friends. What truly elevated the evening, though, was the service. Our waiter Shashi was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, with great recommendations and impeccable timing throughout the meal. If you’re looking for a place that blends innovation with authentic taste and top-notch hospitality, Tashan is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
Will be dreaming of this place until my next visit! I went today for lunch for the first time and was really impressed. We were seated immediately and their buffet had many different options - all delicious. My favorite was the paneer - wow, so good! The waitstaff was kind and attentive, checking on us and the buffet section regularly to make sure nothing was empty. Reasonably priced for the amount of food and options. Again, I cannot wait to go back!
Dined for first time at Tashan on Valentine’s Day. We were looking forward to certain menu items to order, but was surprised to see a valentines buffet. It was absolutely delicious!! We got to try items we might not have ordered and they were amazing. There was such a variety and everything we tried was delicious. But best of all was the service! Our server, Shashi, was awesome. His smile was infectious and it was like a friend was waiting on us. He was so informative about items we weren’t sure about and was really cool just to talk to. We had a great night and we will definitely be returning on a regular basis. Thanks to all!!!
The food was incredible, extremely flavorful and cooked really well. The lamb shank was my favorite. Some of the best Indian food I have had in the US. Sashi was very friendly and attentive, and made sure our experience was amazing. Thank you, will definitely be back!
I recently visited Tashan and it was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the Boston area. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were attentive, professional, and had great recommendations—special shoutout to the team for keeping our glasses full and the service seamless. The food is on another level. We tried the Lamb Chops (Chaap-E-Khas) and they were perfectly tender and smoky. The Butter Chicken was rich and authentic, and you have to try the Goat Cheese Kofta—it's a unique dish you won't find anywhere else. If you want high-quality food and top-tier service, this is the place
If you are looking for a spot that nails both ambiance and service, Tashan is it. The staff here really understands 'fine dining' service without being stuffy—they are warm and genuinely helpful. The menu is a beautiful modern take on Indian classics. The presentation of the Biryani (with the dough seal) was impressive, and the flavors were deep and aromatic. Everything from the cocktails to the desserts felt premium. A 10/10 experience!"
Absolutely love going here!! Food is amazing and staff is so welcoming and attentive. We had Shashi as our server, who was so great! My family has been going to Tashan for a couple years now, this place is always a must when craving Indian food!! The whole experience is always great. Very aesthetic environment as well!
Being a food connoisseur and coming from New Jersey, Tashan serves one of the best indian food, better than most places. For me it is THE PLACE for cocktails, indian food and especially the small plates. The staff is extremely friendly, accommodating and the owners make you feel at home. They make sure that they adjust dishes to your taste palate and at times have gone beyond to curate the dish, or even make the dish, if possible, which is not on the menu. Its a GO TO place for me everytime. MUST GO!!!
This place is a hidden gem. I love Indian food but a lot of places are 'blah'. Not Tashan. Really well decorated and just a cool vibe. It's not a quiet restaurant in that you know it's busy but for some reason it's not overpowering and perfect for having a conversation 1:1 at your table. Our waiter Shashi was super patient as we talked thru some of the dishes. He made some recommendations and it was a home run! The food was delicious and I loved how they brought the food on trays. We did not try dessert because after an;) appetizer and dinner, it wasn't possible. :) There was only 1 Indian beer (it was great) and the cosmo was very good. I really can't wait to go back. Think I might try the buffet to get a varied sampling of dishes. Everything was well prepared, clean, and fresh.
Having a meal at Tashan feels like having a meal at home. The food texture, aroma, presentation has been consistent over and over again. The service here is, staff serving with affection and care. Clean space, neat presentation, and kind owners of the restaurant, nothing more to feel at home. The buffet spread is grand, that's the only word! The individual portions for any dish can easily serve 2/3 people. We wish the team, the owners our best wishes and our support, and also our gratitude for giving us this experience. Thank you :)
Tashan is a modern Indian restaurant that delivers a polished dining experience without drifting into fine-dining territory. The space feels contemporary and well put together, making it a solid option for both business lunches and casual meet-ups. Lunch can get very busy, so timing matters. Expect a crowd during peak hours. The pricing sits in the middle range. It’s not cheap, but it’s not upscale-expensive either. You’re paying for quality and presentation without feeling like you’ve been ambushed by the bill. The lunch buffet was decent, with a fair selection and good flavor overall. That said, ordering directly from the menu was the better experience. The dishes felt fresher, more refined, and better executed compared to the buffet offerings. Overall, Tashan is a dependable spot if you’re in the Bedford area and want modern Indian cuisine in a lively setting. If you go at lunch, skip the buffet and order from the menu for the best experience.
We loved the service and atmosphere. The food tasted great as well. We tried the gol gappa, paneer pyaz kabab and vegetable biriyani. The portion sizes are smaller than one would expect compared to other restaurants given the prices. Great for a date night, but not somewhere I’d go if I am super hungry.
We went here on a Friday night for a second visit, months after our first outing, pretty excited, but the appetizers came short of expectations this time around It's a vegetarian friendly place with good ambience, but lacked the crowd for a Friday night dinner. We had a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes : Appetizers : Kurkure Bhindi Desi Bao Bun Makhmali Galouti Kebab Amritsari Fish Pakora Kesari Paneer Tikka Entrees : Butter chicken Tariwala Mutton Curry Goat Cheese Kofta Garlic Naan The Galouti Kebab wasn't as good as last time, and paneer Tikka was a bit hard to chew, definitely could use some improvement The Bhindi and fish Pakoras are lovely. The entrees made up for slight disappointment we had with the apps, all of them a must try on the menu :) Their drinks have a refreshing feel of them, plus they have the classic old monk as well on the menu , kudos to that from an old hostelier :)
Had a great experience at Tashan with some friends. They definitely take indian food to the next level, really great flavors , decent portions, everything done quite well. Some of the best butter naan i've ever had, not burned or charred just soft and pillowy absolutely perfect. Our server Shashi was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu definitely get him if you can.
Through its elegant and lively atmosphere, innovative menu and wide range of cocktail selection, this place has won many Indians heart. They have fancy cocktails that are appealing to both the eyes and the taste buds. As for the food, I thought most of them could use a little more flavor. The spice level was more on the medium to mild level, for Indian cuisine. That being said, everyone else in my friend circle did thoroughly enjoy the food. The ambience and the decor is well thought and very well done. If you want an almost fine fine restaurant with amazing service and staff who are super friendly, this is the place for you.
Polished ambiance with fancy looking food. The place is a tad bit expensive for the taste, but it makes up in ambiance and service. We were seated to our table as soon as we got there (we reached earlier than our reservation), the staff was great and we’ll accommodating. We got our food and drinks pretty quickly and they all tasted good. Would recommend their Indian drinks (I had the mango mirchi and loved it). If you are looking for a place for a fancy dinner this would be a wonderful place !
Reservation highly recommended, especially on weekends. The manager was a little rude as we had walked in. Apparently they are low on staff, we were not seated in spite of the tables being empty. But they did a pretty good job on improving our experience once we got a table. Ambience is classy. The server was friendly and humorous, lightening our moods, and providing a fun, comfortable experience. The menu is very innovative, providing good options in alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic drinks, and vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian dishes. I would have liked it if they had a longer menu. Food was awesome. Presentation of all the dishes was at par. Taste was quite close to the taste we get in India. Price is on a higher side. But this place is not only for food, but for an experience. Overall it was an amazing experience, with great ambience, great food, and great service.
Starters were very good and highly recommend chatpatta chaat and pomegranate paneer. The cocktails were decent. On the main course, we ordered bhindi, choke, and chettinad chicken. Bhundi and choke came out very spicy even after we asked for medium spice. However, the taste was very nice. Chicken was well cooked and tasted hot and spicy with the rice.
Went for a dinner on 11/1/2023. The hosts were welcoming and had us seated. The ambience was great as well, but when it comes to food, it was sub-par for the price and hype - at least the common opinion on our table. The restaurant claims to be fusion Indian, however that doesn’t discount you from flavour and quality. I’ve added specific dish wise feedback below Drinks - we tried a couple of cocktails and they were pretty decent and well priced. Starters - we had the gobi and bao’s. Both were flavoured well. The gobi was relatively less (6 florets) as compared to the Bao serving. It’s the restaurants’ prerogative of course, but a few more florets won’t upset the balance sheets I am sure, rather it will bring me back with more people. Tashan needs to think long term. Main course - we had the paneer eggs, very innovative dish I must say. Decent quantity as well but had relative less sauce as compared to other dishes. It might have been done to plate, such that the eggs stay visible but lack of gravy defeats the balance. We also had the dal makhni which was very disappointing, somewhat undercooked and lacked smoothness of a Dal Makhani. I understand if we are trying to make it vegan but dont call it dal makhani for god sake - you’re definitely missing expectations. It was some urad dal + Rajma which tasted okay. Tip: google crockpot dal makhani recipes, follow the first half of slow cooking your daily order volume to get the lentils right, I am sure you’ll manage the flavouring post that. Rice - THE WORST - cheapest quality basmati, overcooked, clumping together - not the finesse you expect from a restaurant of this calibre. I informed the chef about both dal and rice. It wasn’t consumed well at our table. I am more than happy to come in a demonstrate how to make simple, yet amazing rice that’ll blow away your guests. (Both vegan and vegetarians) Breads - we had some naans and laccha parantha. Parantha was great, crispy and layered. The naan although fluffy, was a clump of dough at places (30%). A decent naan has thickness but not such that you get clumps of dough in your mouth as you reach the sides. Making a good naan takes talent. Also, pro tip - it’s tricky to get it thin if you aim for a round shape. Try elongated ovals and triangles and hopefully you’ll get it right. Overall, walking around, I saw other dishes which were plated well but the owners/chef needs to put a sharp eye to portion parity and quality checks as the food leaves the kitchen. One main dish for similar cost cannot have disproportionately less gravy volume as compared to the other. It will take a little bit of time to give this restaurant another try and even longer to recommend it unless some changes are made.
Normally I've heard good things overall so maybe my visit was a fluke or a potential issue starting to form. Roomali roti was good, and drinks were good as well. The tandoori dish and entrees we ordered unfortunately did not live up to expectations. I could tell they were over spiced and not toasted and cooked through giving a harsh taste as well. (Not spicy I eat spicy and cook indian food at home and my butter chicken does not come out like this) The impact of eating this caused me to have terrible acid reflux overnight impacting me all next morning.
Bummed. Ordered delivery through Uber Eats looking forward to the Tikka Masala but it’s swimming in oil, the sauce broke and is grainy. I have never received it like this before. Usually tender chicken and creamy rich sauce.
