Stop #6 on our Houston cidery & brewery exploration: Gristworkz A really solid stop with a great beer selection and an impressive guest tap list. It was nice to see some City Orchard cider on tap for my wife, and even Oklahoma’s Prairie Bomb made an appearance — always good to see that. I stuck with the IPAs and was very happy. Way different feel from Saint Arnold’s — smaller and quieter — but just as high in quality. Great vibe and an easy place to spend some time.

Swung by on a Friday at happy hour and everything was amazing! 50% off a ton of their beers and $2 off on their shareables. Wings and tots were amazing! Super impressed! Weller 12 and Blantons available. So many cocktail options. Can’t wait to go back!

Always a great time at this local gem! 🍻 From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere sets the tone for a good time. The food? 10/10 — whether it's the burgers, pizza, or their house-made brews, everything hits the spot. The drinks are on point, and the flavors are consistent every visit. What truly makes this place stand out, though, is the exceptional customer service. Stephen and Kate go above and beyond every time — friendly, attentive, and just all-around amazing. They’re a big part of what keeps me coming back. The chefs are also the BEST! So friendly If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and stop by. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit!

Loved their pizza. It was so light and fluffy! The happy hour nachos are hilariously small but decent. The espresso martini is okay. Not my favorite. Cool space.

Really nice and neat neighborhood bar! Decent variety of drinks, food and beer collection. I really liked the pizzas. One of the bartenders was amazing. Super helpful and friendly. I enjoy hanging out in this chill place. Specially since there are plenty of indoor and outdoor seats. Will surely be back!

Went on a whim and was pleasantly surprised with the drinks and food. Their in-house beers offered lots of variety and the food was great. Had the prime ribeye steak with mashed potatoes(Wednesday night meal special): A+

Fantastic bar and pizza joint at the south end of north side! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and Gristworkz has a cool vibe with great murals to boot! Prices are fair and there’s a fair bit of street parking. Definitely worth a visit if you live near or far!

Great brewery with a strong menu. Went there for lunch at 11 AM on a Saturday. Ritchie welcomed us to the brewery, then ran through what was on tap and their food offerings before pouring us some of the breweries reverse osmosis water. I hate going somewhere and drinking some funky tap water with my beer l, so this was great. My beer faces were Who’s Your Paddy? Irish Red and Hot Boi Blueberry/Raspberry Blonde Ale. Both were excellent, with the Side Gig Sour Ale and Gurl Dinner Stout getting honorable mentions. All were very drinkable session beers, great for enjoying in their fresh and open taproom. For lunch, we opted for a breakfast pizza off the brunch menu and some Brussels sprouts off their normal menu. The breakfast pizza crust had a chewy interior and a crisp exterior, perfectly done. Sausage, egg, and tots were supported by a delicious white sauce. The sprouts were seared in a Szechuan sauce and topped with pickled onions, sesame seeds, and pumpkin seeds. I could have eaten those all day. Cannot recommend this place enough, and kudos to Richie (beer tender) and Bobby (chef) for their hospitality, excellent service, and engaging conversation.

Great location with plenty of places to park. The atmosphere is very relaxed. There is no age limit to get inside. Every day of the week they have a special on food. Their lemon drop martinis are amazing. Service is good. You have to go to the bar to order your food and drinks.

Incredible atmosphere relaxed, and good music! The service was great, moderately priced. You will enjoy the Specials Trust they are delicious! I came on steak night, when I say cooked perfectly, and the trimmings are to die for! Everything had intense flavor you will love it! This is a must go too!

My good friend lives right up the street and we were looking for a good spot close by to get a quick bite and some drinks. I guess this was previously a different brewery we didn't get to go to but now its more so of a bar with both beer and cocktails and an in-house kitchen that was pretty good. My fiance and I shared an order of tacos which were great and also an elote which was solid. We had a few cocktails and I had a neat bourbon and everything was priced very fair and tasted good. I'd like to visit again and check out their beers. Friendly neighborhood bar that I recommend for small or large groups.

Ambiance: Fun brewery/bar with a patio area and inside dining space. The patio is dog friendly and looked like a great spot for large groups to sit & enjoy food/drinks together. We sat inside and found the vibes to be super fun - not too loud or crowded on a Saturday afternoon which was nice. Loved the hamburger and tater tots! Delicious drinks as well - my husband enjoyed their beer options. Clean bathrooms, decent pricing. Quick service and friendly. I would definitely go back with friends as a fun weekend lunch or day drinking spot!

Great spot, seriously underrated. Best wings in the city, excellent pizza, great beer. And a full bar if you don't want beer. Cocktails, wine, THC drinks. Something for everyone. Highly recommend.

This is the spot. The food, the beer, and the atmosphere are outstanding. The cherry on top is the service. My bartender Miles was phenomenal, I had to go order and was treated like a VIP. There was a mistake with my food order and they fixed it in minutes and offered a free drink for my troubles. It’s rare to feel valued as a customer but this spot nails it. 100% One of the best experiences we’ve had dining getting drinks and Houston. Outside of the wonderful staff and standouts management, the food and beers are extremely well priced and delicious. Thank you to the team at Gritsworkz for making me a lifelong customer.

Excellent food with the kitchen open late (until 10!) Tikka Masala pizza is DEF worth trying, as well as the more classic options. Great wings and fries too.

I always loved the food here but they recently updated their menu and I had to leave a review. 🤤 I've had everything, it's all excellent but the macaroni and cheese here is really spectacular. My rugby team comes here all the time after practice to drink and relax. I know there's lots of other community events here too, like knitting and reading and biking etc. Great place for families, they have board games, and there's always somebody to talk to you about the delicious beer they make 🥂

Excellent food and service. Beer brewed in house and a wide variety of additional beverage choices. Great spot to rent out for a party or a work get together, or just a drink after work.

Beer is great and so is the food! The burger was amazing, and the fries were to die for! This is our new local spot to meet on weekends. Steak night was 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼. Give them a try! And plenty of screens to watch football and the Astros!

Really enjoyed stopping by Gristworkz. Great selection of craft beers and a chill, welcoming vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax, try something new, and hang out without feeling rushed. The space is clean, the staff know their beers, and the overall atmosphere feels very local and friendly. Definitely worth checking out if you like breweries in Houston.
