The true heart of Post Oak Grill lives at the Richmond location with Chef Marcelo. Anyone who knew Chef Polo knows Chef Marcelo and this is where that legacy still lives. After being out of the country and learning of Chef Polo’s passing, I was so grateful to find the same soul, flavors, and love I remembered. Last night’s dining experience was outstanding top-tier service and wonderful familiar faces. Chef Marcelo’s catering is exceptional. We’ve used him many times for holiday luncheons and dinners, and having him on site always elevates the experience and makes you look great. If you want the real flavors and the real memories, this is the location to visit. Highly recommend!

It was certainly a delightful surprise to discover this restaurant in the heart of River Oaks. The service here is truly impeccable. The team, including our servers Aaron and Benito, along with Head Chef Marcelo, is simply outstanding. The food, presentation, ambiance, table preparations, and the staff's expertise in recommending dishes are all superb. We had the pleasure of trying their rainbow trout, Chilean Sea Bass, Seafood Gumbo, and their homemade biscuit and bread, which was a symphony of flavors that rivals even the most expensive establishments in the Galleria area. This place truly embodies the essence of "bueno, bonito y barato," meaning great, good-looking, and affordable. I highly recommend visiting, especially for a date night, as you will be treated to an experience comparable to a five-star restaurant, if not better than some we have experienced across the nation. Reservations are not required, but they can be made by phone. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we will gladly recommend this restaurant to our family and friends so they too can enjoy quality dining at an affordable price. The parking is in the Chase bank parking structure after the bank closes and there is plenty of free spots so come, relax and enjoy a once in a lifetime experience.

I recently had lunch at **Post Oak Grill**, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I ordered the **fried shrimp lunch** along with a **small seafood chowder**, and both dishes were delicious. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned and crispy, and the chowder was rich, flavorful, and comforting without being too heavy. The **service was phenomenal**—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made sure everything was perfect, which really elevated the whole visit. Overall, Post Oak Grill delivered great food, great service, and a warm atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning soon.

I came in for a To-Go order since it was 1:35, and felt as if I needed to eat there. The guy that helped me was very attentive and made sure I was taken care of. There was no rush as they were still serving customers. I got a complimentary drink while I waited, and oh was the food worth the wait! I “tasted” my dinner in the car and ended up eating some before I even pulled out the garage. I came for HRW but since this is down the street from my job, they have a new customer!

Post Oak Grill has the most delicious shrimp soup! Honestly, it was out of this world—I’d only had something like this in Europe before, and it’s the first time I’ve found it here in the U.S. Absolutely amazing! Best steak I’ve had hands down! Incredibly flavorful and very seasoned. Will also say that the soup we were served was equally delicious along with the biscuits! We followed everything up with their yummy churro cheesecake and chocolate desert. The chef Marcelo was super kind and awesome! I have stopped here on my way upstairs for breakfast tacos, and come downstairs to eat lunch on multiple occasions over the past year. Every single visit without fail I have received attentive, very caring service and delicious food prepared fresh. This is a hidden gem!

Chef Marcelo personally stopped by and delivered several of his best-selling items, and our entire management team was amazed. The presentation was beautiful, professional, and clearly crafted with care, and the flavors were just as outstanding. Every dish was well balanced, fresh, and absolutely delicious. This is a very friendly family run restaurant. I've only been once, but I was very impressed by the food. I tried Marcelo's special salad, which is featured on the front of their menu. The salad was much larger than the photo suggested, and completely delicious. I loved the fresh flavors of jicama, mango and bell peppers, along with the perfectly cooked shrimp. Others in my party also enjoyed their dishes very much.
