Best little coffee shop in town I believe. Work temporarily in Vallejo Soni stop by OTW. Coffee roasted in store. Food is made fresh, not microwaved like the big chain shop

Me and my daughter come here at least once a week before school for bagels and coffee (and hot chocolate of course!). She loves this place and everyone here knows her and her order. They are family owned and operated. Very friendly and great food and coffee.

This is a wonderful coffee experience. Family owned, neighborhood cafe where the food is fresh and the staff is friendly. The coffee is roasted frequently and brewed with strength. The owners are kind and generous. I highly recommend this establishment for buying whole beans by the pound. You can't find it roasted fresher than here.

Great hangout, friendly warm owners! I love my coffee with a kick and Rrags has it. Not to mention all the other coffee drinks, teas, sandwiches, and salads. The Chicken salad is great. I have the gluten free breakfast wrap-sandwich, love it! Prices are very reasonable and its a local café' You know that old saying... Try it you'll like it! I bet you will!

I've been going here every work day for a few months now. You will have fantastic service, great coffee, and really good morning pastries. They know my drink and start making it when I walk through the door. Forget that chain coffee store, support a great local business!!

Serving Noah's Bagels and numerous choices of coffee, tea, and refreshments. You can't go wrong with this cafe, especially if you try their delicious lox bagel! And if you're craving Vietnamese style coffee, then you've come to the right spot! They also offer various pastries. I highly recommend this place!

A great coffee house, and I mean coffee house. They ROAST and grind their coffee. They also have a nice assortment cafe bites. One of which happens to be the best bagel with cream cheese and lox outside of my hometown, NYC

First visit here.. Won't be my last. After deciding never to go back to One House I decided to try Rrags and I was over the moon.. First they are a full service cafe with baked goods, awesome coffee and breakfast/lunch options.. another reason this place gets two thumbs up is unlike One House Rrags has chosen to operate rather than still living in a COVID hell. They actually allow you inside and you can stay too.. Two thumbs up .

We came to Benecia to visit a friend and found this place on the walk to her house. We stopped one last time the day we left (3rd time in 5 days). Highly recommend.

This is one of our favorite lunch places in Benicia. We're glad they are able to have indoor dining again as they only have room for 2 tables outside and they are always in use. Rrags has great food and coffee and the owners and staff are wonderful.

The coffee here was sooo good. The croissant sandwiches were perfect! I did not expect them to be so good. It's nice to have a great spot like this right down the street.

Love it. A very nice, cozy place. The food’s excellent and there wasn’t much of a wait for the line or for the food to get prepared. Also, the coffee was amazing, as it is made on site, it’s very fresh and good!

Great local coffe/bagel/sandwich stop in Benicia. I try different breakfast spots but always come back. There coffee is definitely better a Starbucks and the staff is extremely nice and helpful

I love their veggie (vegan) sandwich. And that they are willing to wrap my sandwich in my cloth napkin (helping me to reduce my waste)! And also letting me bring my own cup to be filled.

It's my favorite place to get the Lox bagel. You get to chose your bagel and my understanding they are from Noah's Bagels.

A solid tradition in Benicia for people who appreciate really great coffee. An excellent selection of fresh roasted coffee to enjoy in the shop or for brewing at home. Also a large menu of sandwiches or hot food and definitely the place for Sunday brunch. Sometimes the parking is tight, but it's worth any temporary inconvenience.

The coffee has a ton of sugar pump but still a very good cup! I loved the Carmel macchiato and breakfast bagel sandwich!! Can't believe I've been passing this place for 2 years without going in until now... I will definitely return and now found my new favorite breakfast place!

Good food. The younger girl spilled the smoothie all over the cup. Didn’t wipe it. And then tried to have me carry it. I almost ruined my outfit. I won’t be back for a while. Girl with the ponytail with highlights. Then they forget my raspberry bar. And when I TURN AROUND ALMOST 15 MINS AWAY TO GET IT, the young boy says “Did you forget your bar?” Like no. YOU guys forgot it. Never handed it to me. Nothing. They need to do better. Seriously.

J
Jenny B

Workers were friendly, but sometimes the food gets left on the counter and isn't brought to your table. Our table was dirty so I asked for a rag to wipe it with. The counter lady said she'd come do it. She didn't. I asked again, the server came and wiped all the crumbs onto the chair. She had to be asked to wipe that too! My turkey sandwich was awesome, however my friend's pre-prepared burrito was cold. After asking for it to be microwaved, the outside was warm but the inside still cold. Maybe this was a one time oops. The sandwich was good enuf for me to return.

If you're looking for a great cup of coffee in the benicia area this is the place to go. They're not the fastest but with a good selection of pastries and an extensive breakfast lunch menu they are worth the wait.

D

They now serve boba (tapioca) drinks here. I like the boba in my banana strawberry smoothie. Except the last couple times I've went there (once on a Friday and once on a Sunday) they told me they were out of boba. Not a good practice to be out of something especially on the weekends.

The place is a secret but that only means it's a hidden Jewel. You could tell immediately as soon as you walk through the door it's a coffee. But they do much more. The customer service is warm and welcoming which we all need these days. The only downside is that they don't have a take home menu or online menu. You just have to go inside to see what they have. The chicken Asian salad is okay; the Asian dressing is the show. The Price is not bad so go in and check it out

Very cute place, seems to be a local favorite. I had a delicious breakfast sandwich, the bagel was incredible. Not the fastest service, but very friendly.

The servers are great, very polite and friendly. The food and coffee, however, are not so good. The food is average and pricey, coffee is so bitter and burnt I ended up throwing most it away. It tasted like raw sewage. The place is so crammed and we had to wait in line for 5 min to place an order, then 20 min for a lox sandwich and a burrito that they just heat up in a microwave. Such an overprised overrated place. I rather go to Starbucks around the corner.

great place, great staff. great food and drinks, my only concern is that i am a very observant person and i have seen the workers be harassed by the older customers. hate to see the old men creep on the young women working. wish the employers would take care of things like that and not let the customers handle those situations. also have noticed that the place seem to be understaffed, which makes the business run slower. employees shouldn’t have to be pulled from their lunch breaks to handle big groups of customers that come in at one time. hire more staff , place would run smoother.

Bagel with Lox was good, however I got a breakfast burritos as well and it was a frozen burrito that was just warmed up, served with a salsa that was kin to a spicy enchilada sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I like spicy, just not an enchilada sauce for breakfast burritos.

I've decided I'm done with this place. I originally started coming here because they have a really good lox bagel. I'm the type of person who enjoys spending money on food I can't make at home. The smoothies and coffee you get here were nothing to complain about, either. And as far as I was concerned, it was and still is the only cafe that sells bagels in Benicia (unless you count Starbucks). This cafe has received a lot of my praise. After two years, I've learned the sandwiches weren't worth coming here for, the breakfast burrito is microwaved, and the breakfast sandwich is nothing to rave about. The final straw was today, when I saw a croissant and a "breakfast croissant" for an extra dollar, and decided to spend the extra dollar for a better croissant. If the croissant pictured in my review was the better option, I wonder what the other croissant looked like. Finally, and for a long time now, it seems like Rrags is unable to keep bagels in stock past 10AM. So why keep coming here for the one good thing on the menu when they can't make it half the time? The service here is pretty good, otherwise. If the roasting area in the middle of the restaurant wasn't being used as storage, the inside wasn't so cramped, and the parking was better, my opinion would improve.

I would try it again, but I wasn't impressed. My drink was standard (I don't drink coffee, so can't speak to that) and the food was overpriced for what I got (bagel with toppings). Also, a cafe that will give me a real plate to dine in but not a real cup is a bit suss. The interior could be really interesting with the wall of bean dispensers and the roaster in the middle, but it was being used for storage and just couldn't shine and made the space feel more cramped.

The order was a macchiato and a cappuccino (left / right respectively), the size of both drinks were astronomical! The "textured milk" was a cloudy foam that resembles burnt milk, and the espresso shots used for both beverages seemed like they roast their coffee to endure a nuclear apocalypse! If you're gonna spend $5+ in a "coffee" you might as well get a hot choc, maybe they do that decently.

Love the lox from here but the service and vibes from the girls working not so much a curly haired blond and straight long black hair girl where huffing and puffing rolling their eyes while the cashier took my order. I have previously been enjoyed coming here the food is great but the vibe I got today made me and my family not feel welcomed. Very unfortunate. The management should at least put friendly / welcoming faces in the front to deal with people.

The coffee is great it’s just a shame the service is so awful. I’ve worked in coffee shops before and you’re always supposed to greet customers with a warm welcome and a smile. I waited in a long line and as soon as it got to my turn they ignored me for several minutes to work on orders. No greeting or warmth from cashier or barista. A simple iced latte also took forever to make but customers who came after me immediately got theirs. Just weird energy overall. Won’t be back as a regular, and it sucks because I almost made this one of my go-to spots.

I recently visited Rrags Caffé for the first time, and while the food was truly enjoyable, I left feeling disappointed with the service. As a first time customer, I expected a warm welcome or at least a brief introduction to what the café is known for but that never happened. I mentioned it was my first time, but the staff showed little interest or effort in making me feel comfortable or informed. I noticed that some customers had their food brought to the table, while others, like myself, were expected to pick it up at the counter. It seemed like regulars were given better treatment, which is not the way any guest should feel in a restaurant.

I have never found anything other than dark roast in this coffee shop. Nor do they have a line for people who just want a cup of black coffee. Why do they even have a coffee roaster if only thing they offer is dark roast? Did they lose the manual, did they forget how to adjust it for light and medium roast? They display two dozen or more varieties of coffee that they offer, but only offer one roast level. If you like the taste of charcoal, and local artisan ambience, long lines to get substandard coffee and.. probably good food, I don't know, I've never taken the time to get any because they never have the coffee I want..raggs just might be for you.

I ordered a Green Tea Smoothie "matcha". Large and it cost 4.25 or 4.75. The drink tasted more sugarly than the actual flavor. If I can post the picture, the drink doesn't look like Green Tea it's more with 90 milk than the actual flavor. Very watery. I didn't like the woman who serve me either...no thank you or have a nice day or come again. I had come here 4th times already, the last time was the Boba pearl was all sticky together...I'm sorry but the service sucks

I got low carb breakfast plate. Food seems very unhealthy like not cooked at the place fully but heated (like sausage and eggs). Small plate size. My spouse got fresh orange juice that was pricy. I would not recommend.

Customer service is a skill which having employees well versed in, greatly behooves the companies success . The service was so lacking I tossed my beverage which was sub-par anyway.
