Lua Café Benito Juárez CDMX Reviews
Excellent place for breakfast/lunch, very good service, excellent flavor and fair prices.
Very friendly staff who were very accommodating to me considering I have a very poor level of Spanish, as a European tourist. Comfortable, Clean and very fast service. If in the area, the chiliquiles are a must try, the best I tried in 16 days in Mexico! A budget to suit all!
I always say Mexican women are the best. Hardworking, intelligent, and creative. This place is an oasis on Bruna Teaven Street. They're making improvements, but everything is great there.
Excellent, quiet café near Churubusco and the General Anaya bus station. They offer breakfast packages, various lunch options, and the CCS is delicious. The staff is friendly.
I really like it. It's become my favorite place to eat. Clean, friendly, affordable, and with a very good and varied home-style cuisine. Highly recommended. $
I'd give the service a 4 only because of the wait time; other than that, it seems like a good place. You can bring your dogs; they offer water for your pet.
Their breakfast with ciabatta is good, and the coffee is also good for a reasonable price. The only thing I didn't like there was the orange juice; I suppose they add boxed juice because it tastes way too sweet to be fresh.
Very tasty and good service, but the fact that they only play rap or I don't know what kind of music it is, makes you not want to stay there for too long since obviously not everyone likes that kind of music. I wanted to eat a roll and have another coffee but I couldn't stand it any longer. That was in the morning, maybe it will be different in the afternoon.
La verdad es que el café estaba quemado, el espacio de afuera está super genial, ojalá lo mejoren y me volveré a dar una vuelta para ver si es que mejoraron, de precio me pareció correcto para el tamaño del café, solo el sabor.
It's a very small but cozy place, the food is good but the bathroom is very close to where the food is prepared and the employees aren't the friendliest.
The food is delicious, but the service needs to be improved. They took our order correctly and didn't come over to ask if we needed anything else. You had to stand up and tell them what you needed.
The food is okay, just that, but it's not something I would pay more than 200-300 for. I went about 3 weeks ago and the truth is the food was pretty bad for the price. There's only one girl who's nice, the others seem like they're annoyed with their jobs or whatever, it wouldn't be a place I would go back to.
The food is very good, however, one of the waitresses (blonde hair) is extremely rude. While I was waiting for my food, I watched her mock a customer and complain about her coworkers. I guess she makes the environment a bit hostile, not only for the customers but also for her own coworkers. The other waitresses provide good service overall.
The staff is somewhat limited; they're given the menu but not supervised. Sometimes the food is too greasy, sometimes too salty, and there's only one set menu to choose from. The place is very small, and Verónica is constantly on her phone. It's not luxurious, the set menu is reasonably priced but not the cheapest in the area, and the place is tiny, with only four tables. However, you always appreciate the service when they make an effort. There's no parking; you have to look for it on the street, which isn't easy. It's okay to try, but not something you'd go back for.
The waitress was super rude.
Terrible service. It took over two hours to deliver my order, and they didn't even send what I ordered. The food is very good, but the service was awful. They didn't even apologize for sending me what they wanted.
A few weeks ago, I went for a coffee, and the waitress didn't hold the lid properly. When I grabbed the cup, I burned my entire hand. She didn't even apologize or bother to help me. The owner was a little more attentive and gave me ointment, but they didn't even stop what they were doing to see if I was okay. In that moment, between the pain and anger, I paid and quickly went to the doctor. I could have taken action, but at that moment, due to the fear and pain, I didn't. Their attitude is a shame because I was a regular customer. The staff should be more attentive and have a modicum of empathy. Accidents happen to all of us, and sometimes we don't know how to react, but I found the waitress extremely rude. I don't plan on going back, at least not until she's finished working there.
Terrible service from the manager currently handling the bill. The coffee is poor quality, and the service is unfriendly. It's always incredibly slow, even for a ciabatta that's 90% vegetables and served on cold bread—it took ages! While I understand that each dish is homemade, there are only two or three cooks crammed in there, and just a couple of tables with hardly any customers. The waitress also lacked any customer service skills, throwing our plate down and then never coming back to ask if everything was alright or if we needed anything. We asked for the bill, and she ignored us for ten minutes until I finally got up to pay for the ciabatta, the poorly prepared coffee, and the set lunch that was meager and bland. I was still hungry, and they didn't even offer more flavored water. I even had to get up to get the silverware! Oh no! You really need the owner there to get decent service…
The coffee is delicious, the waiters are very friendly, but the owner, the manager, or whatever, is really not very good at serving you. First, you don't have a menu with certain prices, and you charge a different price, and obviously higher. I've been there before and everything was fine with the waiters, but they charge the price listed on the menu. Today I order, and the owner or whatever gives me a price and charges me more. I ask why, if the menu has a price listed, and I charge another price. Their argument was, "Everything is more expensive, everything has already gone up, everywhere." I also have a business, and I don't show my customers a menu with one price, and when I give it to them, I charge them another price, with such an irrational argument. It's a shame, good coffee, bad strategy. The coffee is worth it, but not charging it that way. Charge what's on your menu or don't show it at all and give everyone the price you want. I'd rather not go back and obviously never recommend it. That way isn't cool.
