Mostly enjoyable and a repeat experience for sure. Came in here on a busy Sunday afternoon for a coffee and a biscuit sandwich. The salted maple latte was excellent - full of flavor and not very sweet. They do serve it in a handleless cup, which is quirky and maybe takes a tad bit getting used to. The biscuit with egg bacon and cheese was very good. I think it’s one of the better ones in the East Bay for sure. The crowd and staff are both pleasant and amiable. Kid and pet friendly especially if you sit outside. Will come back here and try some of the other items If you have a sweet tooth, their baked goods look amazing and very fairly priced

i’ve been here on five occasions now and i highly recommend this cafe. it’s a cute neighborhood joint with delicious pastries and good drinks—what more is there to ask for? i highly recommend the early grey cake, the cardamom cake, the passion fruit tart, and of course the biscuit (both standard with butter and jam and the sandwich form).

Great food & Fantastic service! Only thing i would say is most of the entrees on the menu are expensive. I got the ham and cheese sandwich with avocado and smoked salmon added to it. Delicious!

Had a couple idyllic weekend mornings here. Heavenly brunch spot and I love a big foamy latte, especially in fall when the outdoor area is covered in beautiful yellow leaves. Pastries are expensive for the size.

Love the food options and ambiance of this corner cafe! The poached egg sandwich was just what I was looking for but the avocado toast and chai latte were the stars of this breakfast. The avocado toast has a delicious layer of roasted garlic and the chai latte comes in a small bowl with cinnamon on top. I will be coming back for more!

Good coffee, great pastries. Definitely on the pricier side, but with an interesting atmosphere and delicious baked goods! Also, there is something so hilarious about drinking coffee out of a cup the size of a large bowl. Whenever I've been around, there's also a pretty sizable line but deservedly so. I can't help but appreciate the sizable selection of their menu too--from baked goods to beverages to classic breakfast/lunch staples, there's something for everyone.

You can tell how popular this place is by looking at the long line at the door. Good ambiance, great food and drinks, outdoor seating is also available.

One of the best Lavender Matchas I’ve ever had. The breakfast was also great. About $30 for one person for these two things. A bit expensive for a cafe, but the quality it there!

Cooper gives it five wags. Our favorite coffee shop on college. Great coffee and yummy treats for me. Outdoor seating for Cooper.

LOVE.IT.HERE. Yummy food, fun and chill ambiance and friendly and efficient staff. We had the avocado toast, bacon egg and cheese biscuit, and banana bread. Highly recommend the hot chocolate which they make with ganache. Delicious! Perfect spot to enjoy outdoor breakfast with your pup

Small shop, big heart! Baker and Commons went above and beyond. Kara even delivered the order herself. The presentation was beautiful, the food was fresh/delicious, and she was so kind + accomodating throughout the whole process. Highly recommend supporting this gem! 💛

Very crowded for late lunch with a line out the door. We had called our order in so at least no need to wait in the line with my friend using a walker. The quiche is amazing and came with a salad. The latte served in a bowl was excellent too. Got a table outside to enjoy the sun. Inside was quite noisy.

Kieran is the best waiter! He brought me my buttermilk biscuit so fast and in style, too. He is really good at his job. I will definitely be back.

a lot of places serve great coffee, but there really is something especially good about the coffee here. The espresso is a bit better than other places I’ve tried while visiting Berkeley. All the employees have been very warm and friendly, and the food and pastries were yummy as well! Such a cute neighborhood spot. Highly recommend.

It's a very local cozy neighborhood cafe with variety of great choices of coffee drinks and pastries/cakes. Great place for brunch and afternoon coffee. Check for soup of the day for sure. Service is normal cafe order-to-sit with great casual atmosphere with WiFi. Indoor and outdoor settings available. There is flat entry and wide inside and outside for navigation. Good for kids with high chairs and outdoor seating, seniors, groups, meetup and couples. There is free parking lot bring the cafe. Free and paid street parking spots available.

Cute little cafe but it does get pretty busy often with a long ling at times. Their food is good but a litle overpriced for what they serve, at least for me. I got their avocado toast, which they put some kind of garlic spread on, which was super tasty! Their pastries and dessert selection looks pretty solid so I can't wait to try those next time.

I love this place and frequent several times a week. They have great food and drinks and the staff is very friendly. I wish they would invest in a second register and encourage customers to have their orders ready by the time they reach the register. The line for this place moves incredibly slow. Often I want only a coffee and will be waiting in line for over 10 minutes.

You get a number for the table and staff bring the food but you have to stand at the coffee bar area and wait for the beverages. The food came out first so it’s at the table getting cold I went to table to talk to my party then returned to the coffee area to see if my drinks were ready. Only 1 of the coffees was there. Barista said he made the 2 that were ordered -“someone must have picked it up already “ . Another staff person asked me if I was sure another person from my party didn’t already take it. Barista makes a random coffee and I just took it. Tired of waiting for drinks. Biscuit was good probably much better if it wasn’t stone cold.

Food is great, wait is long and the service is terrible. Everyone who works there is frowning and looks miserable. I got an iced mocha that just had scoops of chocolate powder dumped on top of the ice, didn’t even bother to stir it and when I asked for a remake I got attitude about it. Then when my to go order came out the server tossed it at me as she walked past with no semblance of basic politeness. I’m not interested in going back just to be treated so poorly. Do better with your customer service.

Meh quality coffee. Truly blighted ordering system where people share a single line to order meals (slow) and order to go drinks / pastries. Great for food. Friendly staff. No parking and highly congested street area. Bottom line-- good place but avoid it for to go coffee.

No seating. Coffee is better than average. Breakfast (shakshuka) was totally overpriced and frankly I’m embarrassed for them for having it as an option. Toast was burnt. Tomatoes from a can. Come here for a quick coffee to go. Nothing more…
