Banh Mi Bite Berkeley Reviews
The Five Spice Chicken Bánh Mì is absolutely delicious! The chicken is tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with a fragrant five-spice blend. The crispy baguette and pickled veggies make every bite super satisfying. Highly recommend everyone give it a try! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
First time trying Banh Mi and I LOVE it!! (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)❤️ Their crispy baguette sandwich taste AMAZING and their smoothie is also super awesome!! I’ve also tried their Shrimp Egg Rice Plate, and it’s was really good as well! Their food tasted healthy and fresh, no heavy cream nor sauce that most restaurants have. But you could also add their sauce packages yourself if you prefer strong flavor or spicy. If you’re a vegetarian, pescatarian, or just live eat healthy, this is a definitely a great place for you (a log of veggies dishes, including their spring rolls and banh mi) ! And their meat dishes are amazing as well! The shrimp rice plate is one of my favorite. The eggs are tender and the seasoning is just right, fresh and tasty. The spring rolls are also really good, especially their sauce ☺️ You could tell them not to add cream or sugar if you don’t want it. My favorite smoothie flavor here is avocado, but they also have other flavors. You could have coffee here, but it’s Vietnam coffee, which is similar to iced coffee that is sweet and dense. They don’t have a large inside space, but they do have some outdoor seats. And since most people take out their orders, you could still find a seat if you’d like to dine in. They don’t have restroom available for customers, but the new Mind Coffee beside the place does. It’s a good “combo” schedule for me to have lunch and then go to the cafe afterwards! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants on Euclid Ave 🥰 # Mini Turkey Sandwich 🥖 # Avocado Smoothie 🥑 # Shrimp Scrambled Egg Rice Plate 🍳
Came here Saturday morning for a delicious fried egg sandwich & Vietnamese iced coffee - Very lovely new seating area to eat with the rebrand and easy to order using Snackpass app or the terminals. Owner and staff are gracious and super friendly.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! The bread tears up the roof of my mouth in the best way and the fried taro in their veggie banh mi is delightful. One time they put too many jalapenos in my sandwich but honestly i prefer that to not enough spice level. Black sesame coffee is great too, although expensive. Perfect sunny day lunch spot.
I was hesitant to come back after I had a bad experience a year ago before they rebranded; which a lot of the older reviews reflect. VERY happy to say that they've improved significantly, I got the five spice chicken with an iced coffee and both are fantastic. Meat tastes great and the bread is perfect. Worth giving them another shot if you started avoiding this place like I did before. Friendly staff too.
This spot is legit! Banh Mi Bite totally hit the spot — the bread was super fresh and had that perfect crunch, and the fillings were so flavorful. I got the grilled pork and lemongrass chicken, and both were bomb. The pickled veggies added a nice tang and crunch too. Great service and reasonable price.
banh mi bite is a great place to pickup lunch on northside of uc berkeley campus. have had their banh mi five spice chicken sandwich many times — healthy and delicious. they have convenient self ordering kiosks and you can order on snackpass which is great when in a rush!
I ordered the Ham and Head Cheese (as I do from any self respecting Bańh Mi joint I patron) and it was well deserving of 5 stars. Ample fillings balanced with the right amount of pickled vegetables and pate. Also the bread is superb with a crunchy brown crust and soft interior. None of that super crumbly white bread you find at many other places. Among the best I have had in the East Bay. No more driving to International BLVD for Bańh Mi for me. Pay no attention to the 1 star Karen, this place is excellent.
Update for a different purchase : bought iced coffee. It tasted like chicory coffee. This type of coffee has zero caffeine. Don't buy their coffee. Roast pork sandwich (half size) was decent and the size was decent. You get what you pay for. Bun bo hue was decent. Nice and extra spicy. Meat was not enough but you get what you pay for. Tasted good anyway!
Such a lovely and convenient banh mi spot. Owners are super friendly and it’s centrally located in north side. Try the crispy pork!

The five spice chicken banh mi was really good! The bread and all the vegetables felt pretty fresh too

Stunned by the quality of this unassuming banh mi place on Northside. The quality of the bread was excellent -- both crunchy and chewy. The portions were huge. For happy hour, you can get a huge sandwich for only around $8, pre-tax. I also got both the shrimp spring rolls and grilled pork spring rolls. Usually I like shrimp more, but this place's grilled pork spring roll had a solid char that I really liked/made it more unique. The peanut sauce is ammitedly, not the best l, but the rest of the food more than made up for it. Will definitely be back for the excellent and filling food.
We had both their (Crispy Roast Pork Belly Banh Mi) and (Shrimp Spring Rolls) which were both great! The bread was crunchy and fresh paired with all the crispy veggies as well! The spring rolls paired with their peanut sauce was great as well. We were also able to order ahead using Snackpass!
the pack A and B (full size banh mi/spring rolls + drink) IS SUCH A GOOD DEAL AND SO DELISH i always get the sea salt coffee + five spice chicken banh mi and it is so flavorful and the coffee is not too sweet! one of my favorite post-study bites
owners were so kind, and the banh mi bread was a perfect consistency! sea salt coffee was incredible, would come back again

Banh Mi Bites in Berkeley is a total delight! Their $14 combo sandwich with a drink is such a steal. The sandwich was so fresh--crisp veggies, tasty meats, and that classic banh mi bread that's just the right mix of crusty and soft. It felt like a hug in every bite! The drink was a refreshing touch, and the whole meal left me so happy. The folks there were kind, the vibe was warm, and I'm already excited to come back. Love this place!
A great local family owned business. Quality sandwiches at a decent price and the portion is quite large! Very clean inside and you can also get a bag of chips for only a dollar! Support small businesses!

Not sure what happened to this place. We got three bahn Mi sandwiches: pork belly, crispy roast pork and lemon grass pork. We did not enjoy any of them. We consider ourselves Bahn mi connoisseurs so that may be why; We could not taste the pork belly only the vegetables; the lemon grass pork was over cooked, hard, dry and chewy (maybe left over some it was late lunch?; the roast pork was not crispy as advertised and again you could only taste the vegetables. All of them had too much habanero pepper and much too spicy (and we are used to spice!). I recall coming to this place several days ago and it was great. Not so much now
I got Vietnamese egg coffee and five spice chicken sandwich. The coffee was pretty delicious but a bit watered down, wish it had less ice and tasted more like coffee. The sandwich had too much bread but otherwise decent. Very affordable!

Bought the Hainanese chicken and it was still frozen in the middle. Super not good and a food poisoning risk. Won’t be getting that again.

Service was nice but the sandwiches we got …. I really don’t know how one can put all of the ingredients of a banh mi sandwich together and have it taste like nothing, flavorless—no exaggeration. I got the pork belly sandwich and 1) the meat looked nothing at all like the picture, I expected pork belly 😭 2) the “meat” looked plastic, really, lower quality than Subway meat next door or your local Safeway. Bread was too soft not the right texture, cilantro and carrots were somehow—like I said—flavorless, was there even Mayo or Pate on it? Couldn’t tell. Not sure where to start on how to fix these sandwiches because none of the parts are quality or sufficient. Really disappointed that we felt like we had to force ourselves to stomach these sandwiches so as not to waste them.
The sandwiches are okay - I like to get the coffee and sandwich mix deal; however, I ask for my coffee without ice (I get a cold often) and they give me so much attitude and dont make it right. I wont be going back - really need a service fix
